In the distance, Ryuu found something, something odd and amazing. His eyes could not see, but he couldn’t help but think that there was something there, something he knew would make his day. He ran, ran as hard as he could, his arms moving up and down, alternately, attempting to find a space that he would claim as his own. Yes, he had his guild house and his personal house he owned with his wife, but he wanted something else. He wanted a retreat, a place where he knew no one else knew about. He wanted to find a place where he could call his sanctuary, where no one would bother him. Would he tell Kyuu about it? Probably. But she would know that this place was his place of solitude, and he went there only for specific purposes. To prepare for things he needed to focus on or to accomplish a goal. It was a necessary thing for men who knew a thing or two about hard battles. It never hurt to have a man cave, and in this case he wanted to find one in preparation for any type of preparation he required, but he knew finding a place would require pioneering. He had his gear, repaired, ready and primed. The place he was going had to be difficult to reach. He would learn every intricate detail of the area so he knew the best way to get there without having too much difficulty. Ryuu could be pretty lazy when it came to doing tedious things. This also meant fighting needlessly. If he could find a way to get through without having to fight, he would do so, even if it meant making his own tunnel to get there.
His eyes were set towards the furthest place from humanity. He saw it once before, but his goal was to find every place that leads there and to figure out the best path to take. Jumping into the trees of the Windsor Greatwoods, he was to head northwest to the place he had been before. There was a large waterfall, very difficult to get to because of the location of it. There were several beasts that were there to protect it. What he wanted to do was to keep them alive and to stop those from wanting to invade his area. So long as something of higher level was there to make sure no one was nearby. He had to befriend the beasts. He hoped his lack of animal trainer wouldn’t be too much of a problem. He could at least talk to them, so that was something, right?
Upon reaching the waterfall, his first goal was to find the first beast. From what he remembered, there were four beasts he would have to persuade to help him protect his space. The first was a lion. The second was an eagle. The third was a dragon. And the fourth was a bear. Each were significant in their territories, but each guarded a part of the place he would call his sanctuary. He needed to persuade them, somehow, or beat them into submission. He needed to overpower each and every one of the beasts to make them obey him, or at least not kill him. That was his goal, anyways.
