Huffing to herself in silent irritation, Sylvia continued to push her way further into the backdrop of green before her. Just a little bit further in and she was sure to come across a monster or two. She was a level one adventurer, or so that was what the NPC's had called her. An adventurer. She couldn't say she was having fun adventuring though, to her this place was a prison and nothing more. A really large, life like and totally cool looking prison. As one who knew her games, even she had to admit that the men responsible for creating this game and the coding behind it were simply geniuses. Something that irritated her far more then it should, quite frankly she was just a bit jealous. Or maybe a lotta bit jealous. Or maybe she was really really jealous and just a bit bitter on how her life ended up the way it did. Needless to say that during her search through the wilderness a scowl had planted itself firmly upon her face. She needed to kill something. Thankfully she wouldn't need to search very hard. A good ways in past the main road and Sylvia would see the faded hide of the one and only Dull Green Slime. The perfect target for her to release some pent up aggression. She was angry, angry for many things but the top feature today on her list stemmed from a recent argument with a so called friend on whether or not healers were allowed to DPS. Or in plain English terms, dish out the damage. Her friend disagreed. With a savage snarl, Sylvia rushed through the grasses, heaving her scythe up high as she bolted towards the slime in her sights. She would prove them wrong, she would prove them all wrong. So what if Druids were a 'healer' type class, she had a weapon didn't she? What use was a weapon if you couldn't even use it! The distance between her and the slime lessened, ten feet, eight feet, six feet, four feet. As she closed her distance, the slime wheeled to confront her in alarm as it finally sensed her presence. But it was too late. Sylvia's scythe made an odd noise as it slid into the slimes flesh, an odd squelching sound accompanied by a high pitched squeal. Jumping back, she panted as she watch the slime quiver for a moment before bursting into... what appeared to be bubbles? Now THAT was odd. Then again, she was new to this whole Elder Tale business so maybe that's just how they did things here. With her first enemy defeated, that simply fact just couldn't stop a smile from slipping across her face. Though, she didn't feel any stronger from the act. But then again, that was only just one simple slime. A level one monster would hardly put up a fight. Sadly, Sylvia would need to look around for more slimes if she was going to raise her level past one. Even the more cowardly of the noobs that clustered around town were starting to out level her. Which was pretty sad. She was hardly a coward, but what she did lack was a decent understanding of how the game worked and functioned. Sylvia supposed that it probably wasn't the greatest idea she ever had to separate herself from her companion. But it was something that she found to be necessary in order to preserve her dear friends life. She needed to cut something in two, and these slimes just happened to be the perfect Apoc replacement. Why, just picturing his face on their squishly little bodies was conforting, and slicing them in two even more so. After her recent disposal of slime number one, she was feeling better already. Now if only she could find lucky slime number two. Picking up the odd coin or two she noticed fly from the slimes bubble implosion, she headed off to look for her next victim. Notes: First post using Sylvia, will be trying to get a good grip on her character for the next few posts.

Words: 546 Apoc did not want Sylvia to go far from him. After all, most healer classes cannot do enough damage to monsters before they have to heal themselves, which will be catastrophic when the monsters are higher in level. While he was not a tank by any means, Apoc would feel safer knowing that Sylvia at least has a chance to out damage monsters with a Sorcerer in her party, due to the fact that Sorcerers have one of the highest damage per second ratios in Elder Tale. He tried to call Sylvia by using the Telepathy System, but alas she would not answer. This led him to search for Sylvia in the field.
After entering the field, he would notice a few slime mobs somewhat hidden from view. The only reason he saw them was because of the little icon that showed up with their name and HP above them. He only had that turned on so it would make it easier to find Sylvia. Apoc really was not paying attention where he was going, since he was just looking around the area seeing if he could spot Sylvia. This reckless action caused him to deviate from the main path. This is never good for a Sorcerer who is not paying attention, which became apparent when he smacked into a Young Pittered Boar. The boar would not like the fact that Apoc ran into it and promptly smacked Apoc away.
Apoc felt pain when he was hit by the boar, but he did not take too much damage. He would need to watch were he was going, though. Not wanting to take any further damage, Apoc would hold his Grimoire that he held in his left hand and said, "Orb of Lava." A ball of molten lava erupted from the pages of the Grimoire and landed on the boar. Luckily, the boar was only Level One, so the orb destroyed the boar quickly. After gathering up the items and money that came out of the bubbles that used to be the boar, Apoc would continue his search for Sylvia while watching were he was going. After all, he did not want to be hit again.
Luckily for Apoc, it only took a few more minutes to find Sylvia about to kill what looked like a Dull Green Slime. That relieved so fears from Apoc since those slimes did not have a lot of HP and were easily killed. Now that he had found Sylvia, Apoc would run up to her and say, "Hey, Sylvia. Why don't you stand back from the fighting and get used to healing? That way you can easily understand the strengths of your class before we are in a party that needs you to focus only on healing. And plus, my class is meant to deal out the damage, so I can easily kill things for the both of us." This was probably a bad thing to say, but he wanted Sylvia to get used to a role that she most likely will play before she has to learn it on the fly in a party with some horrid people. After all, he has heard of players turning on healers and try to take their stuff if they do not heal them.

And there he was again, following her even still and vomiting his opinions all over her again along the way. Wasn't he able to take a hint? Couldn't he see that right now, it was beneficial to his life to remain neither seen nor heard right now? Apparently not, to her this man was a moron in the worst possible ways. If only looks could kill. Turning around she glared at him fiercely and said not a single word. As she bared her teeth at him, she was aware that her ears were tingling. An odd sensation that she was trying to ignore. Apoc would not understand, he would never understand. And seeing as it was HIS fault that she was stuck in this world, and HIS fault that she chose this silly class in the first place, Apoc was the single source of all her woes. She was not even thinking of long term goals when creating her character. She picked whatever he wanted her to pick and chose things for no other reason then because she could. If she had only known that she was going to be forced to play the game for all eternity, she would have picked something far more fun to play. Such as a ninja for example. Oh how she wished she had picked anything else. But no, she had picked the Druid. One of the three staple healer classes in the game. Thankfully, she wasn't limited to only wearing cloth but could wear garments made of leather. Not the best defense, but much better then simple cloth. Unfortunatly her starter gear she was currently wearing was worth next to nothing at all. She needed to replace it as soon as she could, and to do that she needed gold. And to get gold she needed to kill things. But only those who could fight could kill things, so where did that leave healers? At the mercy of whoever they were healing? Just hoping that they might share some of their spoils? She was not the typical healer, and no one else could convince her otherwise. The typical healer, a good little girl who follows the fighter of the group around like a lost puppy, who heals wounds on command and has little to no other roll. Not. Oh she would heal, of course she would. It was what her class was best at and she would be damned if she dismissed her strengths all together. But she would heal on her own terms, when she felt like it and would take orders from no one. Which, meant that forming parties for her was going to be a bit difficult. I mean she had Apoc, but he was just Apoc. A strong sorcerer true, but also incredibly annoying, especially lately. She was doing just fine tuning out the man behind her, but suddenly something slipped past her mental defenses. A moment of clarity as she digested his words. Did he.... no he couldn't have said that. He wasn't stupid enough. He wouldn't dare! But oh he did. "You..." Sylvia's eyes glazed over and became soft, and a deceptively loving smile crept to her lips. An equally sweet voice poured over those lips as she turned full circle to stare her stalker straight in the face. "It seems that you have chosen to die. So be it."Keeping the smile eerily plastered on her face, Sylvia would rush towards Apoc with Scythe raised high. If he didn't move and quickly, he would find that the blade's trajectory was never meant to miss the mark. She was aiming at him, a fact that didn't seem to bother her at all what so ever. "I will show you my STRENGTHS. Now stop moving and let me hit you!" Apoc would need to act smart and think smart if he wanted to placate her. But seeing as he already held a poor choosing of words, noted by his recent lack of foresight, it was highly unlikely that he would be able to do so. Notes: You really pissed her off dude xD

Words: 332 Oh no. It looks like she was still mad at him. Boy, was he in trouble. Apoc knew that he has had trouble speaking the right words, but this was a new episode in 'Foot into Mouth Disease.' When he saw Sylvia glare at him, he immediately stopped where he was. After he saw her grab her scythe and held it high, he knew it was time to see who was faster. Why would you need to know that? It was because Apoc started to run for his life while doing the scythe slashes that were directed at him.
In the middle of running for his life, Apoc would start thinking how could he fix this situation. The only thing would be to try to get her to understand that what he originally said was a misunderstand of what he was trying to convey. So, he would say to her, "Look can we stop and talk about this?" If Sylvia chose to stop attacking him and listen, then he would stop and catch his breath. Otherwise, he would keep running for his life.
No matter if Sylvia chose to stop trying to kill him or not, Apoc would continue with saying, "Look, Druids are more of the utility class of healers here in Elder Tale. You can perform many roles depending on what skills you have. The most common roles are healer and damage dealer. The only reason why I suggested you to heal was so you could get used to how the heal spell you told me you had worked. That way you do not have to experiment with it later. When we were done with that, I was going to suggest that you try the DPS role while I support you if you got a damage spell next. Sorry for the poor choice in wording."
He did not know whether or not that would help his chances with calming her down, but Apoc could always hope that it did succeed.

So it seemed that the boy had some brains after all. Though his words did not entierly please her. Though they did help save his life. She no longer wanted to kill him, rough him up and slice his pretty little face for pissing her off so, but no longer kill him. Though you would be hardly able to tell from the way she continued her onslaught. Her speed never faltered and her scythe never lowered itself or slowed. "That's nice. How thoughtful of you to care so much on how I play MY character. Why don't you mind your own buisness for once, hmm?" She scolded him even as she made a swing at the back of his knees. She doubted it would land, for Apoc was a swift runner and she was already a bit worn out from her previuos fight. She wouldn't be able to chase him forever and eventually, after about ten or so minuites of chasing poor Apoc around the glen, Sylvia would jog to a slow and huff herself in a different direction. "If your going to travel with ME, your going to have to learn that I'm not one whos going to take orders, not even from you. I said I would play this silly little game with you, and I will. But what I won't do is be one of those clingy healers that just watch the fights from a distance. You got that? I will fight, and if you have a problem with that, you better find someone else to fix your boo boos."Healing, she knew how to heal just fine. It was healing, I mean how hard could it be! Her only spell at the moment was in fact a healing spell, Heartbeat Healing to be exact. She had on more then one occasion read the description of the spell and had tried to understand it. It was a heal over time spell, where the druid would cast a healing magic on another player and heal them for a set amount of hit points over a set amount of time. A basic heal over time spell. She had attempted to cast the spell quite a few times but the interface was a bit troubling to get used to. It was also hard to cast the spell when you had no target to heal. And she was not too keen on injuring herself for simple practice. All at once however she had an idea that would solve all her problems in one go. She wanted to hurt Apoc, and Apoc wanted to help. She needed a victum, and dear Apoc did so want to help her with her healing. Well, since he wanted to help her with that so badly, she would let him. "Alright "Friend". You wan't to help me with my healing?" She grinned and walked toward Apoc until they were a mere foot apart and held out her hand. Knowing Apoc as she did, she knew that he would not be likley to refuse it. "I need one simple thing from you." And with that she titlted her Scythe with her other arm, aiming to slice open his arm which she held a firm grip on. It was a cruel trick, but she was a rather cruel person. At least when she wanted to be. As soon as Apoc had a wound of some kind, some size, some shape of some color, Sylvia would release his probally bleeding arm and step back. "Thank you for volunteering! I really did need a live dummy to practice on. Now, how did this work again? Let's see..." Tilting her head she stared intently at Apoc as and folded her arms against her chest. She had heard several other players in town once mention that it was best if you acted out the spell instead of trying to force it out from the menu. From that she figured that the best course of action was to try and take the stance that her character would normally do when using the spell and start from there. Placing her feet apart from one another she gripped her sycthe in both hands and grimaced. "Eh.... okay now what.""Okay, a bit of help here. What you did with the lava earlier. Can you help a girl out a bit? How exactly did you do that?" She was a bit iritated as well as reluctant to ask for any sort of help, perticuarly form him. However he was willing and probally one of the more trustworthy people she knew. And if he laughed at her she would stab him where he stood. Hopefully however it wouldn't come to that. "The players in town said to really visualize it. But I don't really see how that would work. I mean, it's not if I just shouted "HEARTBEAT HEALING!" at the top of my lungs that it would work or anything."Sylvia was ready to bite her own tounge, as no sooner had she said that did her sycythe glow green and a strange energy flowed through her. It felt amazing, like nothing she ever felt as it consumed her entire body and glowed warmly. She had done it, somehow. The spell had worked, she felt it as her arms seemed to move on instinct alone and raise her staff as it was consumed in the green light. It was odd, but she had also not chosen a target for the spell to effect. In other words, with no where to go, she had healed herself. She wasn't hurt though, so the effect was minimal at best. It gave her warm fuzzies but nothing more. "Alright, I got this. Stand still and try to bleed a little for me." With a wide grin, Sylvia was ready to give this another shot. Hopefully with that last bit of experience under her belt, she would be able to pull the spell off after one more use. Deep in her mind she visualized exactly what she wanted to do. She visualized Apoc, his wounds, his little hit point meter and readied her spell. "HEARTBEAT HEALING!" With a yell a wave of green glow shot out towards Apoc and she waited for the spells results with baited breath. Notes: Hee~ I have permission from Apoc to cut him XD

Words: 845 Well, now he knew why she was mad at him. It seems to her that he was telling her how to play her class. Well, it was said that he does need to learn how to word things better. It also seems that she has it in her head that he wants her to be his little heal slave. That was not what he wanted her to do. All he wanted her to do was get used to what spells she had. After all, it was found out that they were stuck in this world since the Log Out button does not work. He had played Sorcerer with his friend when he played Elder Tale before, so he does not really need to know how the spells work. He even knew the stances to most Tier I spells for the Sorcerer class. That is why he knew how to perform what other people said would be the easiest why to cast spells. This is what has been directing Apoc's thoughts since they found out they were stuck for now in the world of Elder Tale.
To what Sylvia had said, Apoc would just shake his head and say, "I just wanted you to get used to using your spells. That way you can formulate how you want to progress with your chosen class. I did not mean to convey that I wanted you to be my heal slave. I am sorry for what I have said if that is what my words meant." He would then laugh before continuing with, "It seems I still have problems with words."
When she accepted his offer to help her learn how her spells worked, Apoc would gladly give his arm when she said she needed something for him and held out his arm. However, he quickly took the arm back when she gave him a cut on his arm. Luckily, the cut was not that deep, so there was not a lot of damage that was dealt. But, the slash still hurt. Of course he would respond in a negative way, "Why did you cut me?" Her response made him shutter though.
A dummy. That what he agreed to. To being her dummy. Of course with how she seemed to act with his wanting her to heal, he thought that she knew how to use her current healing spell, Heartbeat Healing. He was familiar with the spell, but not with the stance that it had the character perform when using it. This is why he looked really confused when she seemed to blank on how to perform the spell. He gladly looked around to see if he could find a monster to target when she asked how he performed his Orb of Lava. Luckily, there was a Dull Green Slime just near them. He would then look back to Sylvia and say, "When I want to use my Orb of Lava, I need to visualize the attack and then say its name. Like this for example." He would then look back at the Dull Green Slime and once again picture his attack while holding out his Grimoire that was in his left hand. The was proceeded with his saying, "Orb of Lava." Just like last time, a ball of molten lava erupted from the pages of the Grimoire and landed on the monster, this time a Dull Green Slime.
It would seem that both the visuals he provided and the knowledge of what the other adventures were taking about in town got to her and she properly casted Healing Heartbeat. Unfortunately, she did not target him so he still had some HP missing. He would look at his HP bar and balance. It seemed that the hit from the Level One boar and the slash that Sylvia did had his HP at only one fourth of his maximum health. That was bad. Luckily the next time Sylvia was able to cast Healing Heartbeat, it did land on him. The feeling he had was that of that of a fluttering heartbeat. It felt so warm and inviting. He quickly shook off the feeling and looked at his HP bar again. This time the heal spell seemed to land and his HP was gradually gaining back up towards the maximum.
Now that she seems to know how to cast the spell, he needed to know if she was fine with understanding the spell. This was because he thought that if she understood the spell then there was no reason for him to keep begging her to heal. So, he had to ask. Apoc would smile at Sylvia and then say, "That felt weird, but you did heal me. Thanks for that. Do you understand the spell now including how to cast it?" He would await her answer to his question. Hopefully, she was okay with this that way they can train and see what spell she could get next. Apoc just hoped that it would be a spell that would not lead him to more cuts, bruises, or something worse.

Huh, so it did work after all. Excellent. With that experience behind her belt she now new how to cast her spell. Unfortunately it was her only spell, and she was a bit irritated that she didn't have anything, say a bit more destructive. Healing was nice, but it was the offensive type spells that kept you alive in this world. Healing was just simply support. Hopefully her next spell would be a bit more destructive. She had high hopes for something that went boom, or a spell that lit something on fire. That would be neat. And so it was that she turned to Apoc and smiled, the first true and grateful smile she had made in a good while. "Thanks." She was happy, for once, and it showed in every fiber of her being. Apoc could now relax for the storm of her rage had subsided, for now at least. Soon enough she would remember exactly why and how she had come to this world and then the onslaught would begin anew. Apoc could only hope that she would remain distracted long enough to put that time well ahead into the future. Hopefully so far in the future that he would be far enough away from her to escape harm. For she had a scythe and was not afraid to use it. Now, did she understand the spell. That was the question that stumped her. What exactly was there to understand. Charge, aim and heal. Simple mmo type stuff, simple healer type stuff. She wasn't new to the mmo scene, he of all people should know that. So what exactly did he mean. Slyly she smiled at the boy and titled her head in a coy manner. "Hmm... you know, I'm not quite sure I did." She hefted her scythe up again and angled the blade so the sun reflected off it's keen edge. "Better cut you again just to make sure." Her smile would then be followed with a laugh as she turned and flapped her hand at him. She didn't really expect him to take her up on her offer. However if he did, she was still game for another go. "How about we go try and find some more targets, you know something other then you for me to cut up. Unless your the jealous type and don't want to share me, then I totally understand." She walked ahead and away from Apoc, looking back and forth through the grass as she searched. It wouldn't take long before she saw the grass rustle and two tiny boars shambled on past her. They were running pretty quickly and she nearly tripped over them as they did so. "HEY! Get back here!" They didn't even stop to look at her, which irritated Sylvia past her threshold. Without even pausing to think of just why they were running, she bolted after the pair in chase. She wasn't anywhere near as fast as the boars though, and they quickly out distanced her. "Apoc do something!" She called desperately to her companion, hoping he would, I don't know blast one of those lava balls in the boars direction. Wait, that was it! "Blast one of your lava balls at the boars, block their paths!" She was determined to kill this group and hopefully loot some bacon from the corpses. She did love bacon in the real world and she wondered fleetingly if bacon tasted the same here as well. She followed up at the rear of the two running boars, waiting for her chance to swing her scythe and slice them from behind. As soon as they stopped that is. Notes: None atm

Words: 557 He was happy that Sylvia smiled at him. He has seen that since they have been trapped in the game. Even the smile that her game avatar had was as beautiful as her real life smile. He needed to see if he could keep that smile there. Of course, that would always be hard as long as she resents him while in this world. Her response to him asking if she understood the spell made it very clear that she did understand it now. He knew her to well that when she offered her hand again that it meant another cut to his arm. He shuttered at the thought that she would become like this anime character he watched while in college called Dokuro-chan with her hurting him with her scythe and then healing him just to slash him with her scythe again.
Apoc was glad when she suggested to go after some other monster that she could torture instead of him. However, he did blush when she mentioned that side joke of him being too jealous to share her. That did not stop him from responding with a, "Go ahead and see if you can find something else to cut. I'll stand back and support you as much as I can with my only spell right now." That was not saying much since his only spell was one of his most powerful spells that he can obtain at low levels. It was even the most beneficial spell with its low cast time and cool down time. Every twenty seconds and, bam, he could fire another Orb of Lava off.
Apoc would watch as Sylvia nearly tripped over two small boars as they scurried away. He would laugh to himself as he saw her chase the two small boars. It reminded him of how she was so in love with bacon. When he heard Sylvia yell at him to do something, he started to cast his Orb of Lava. He had a few more charges he could use due to his high mana pool. Right when he heard her yell again to stop the boars with his lava ball, he finished casting his Orb of Lava. "Orb of Lava!" Once again, the Orb of Lava would erupt from the pages of the Grimoire while he was holding it out for the book to open. However, this time the Orb of Lava did not hit either boar. This time the orb hit right in front of the moving boars. It even came so close to one of the boars that it singed some hair off of it. This needless to say caused the boars to stop. They were too afraid to go further and did not know which side to start running in. This should allow enough time for Sylvia to catch up and swing her giant scythe.
Now, Apoc could only wait until eighteen seconds passed in order to cast it again. So, his next course of action was to grab his Starter Dagger in his right hand while clutching his Grimoire in his left and start running towards the boars. If they have not ran away nor killed by Sylvia, then Apoc would attack one of the boars with a stab of his Dagger, even though that would only lead to very minimal damage dealt.

Swing went the scythe, slicing through flesh and bone with a satisfying squish. The plan worked as they had planned and with their combined efforts both young boars were now critically injured. But not down for the count. Squealing in retaliation, one of the boars swiveled around and slammed into Sylvia's leg, causing her to drop to one knee with a grimace as she watched her hit points drop a bit. It wasn't allot, but it wasn't a little either. "Tch, stupid pig." Why couldn't they just die like good little bacon bits? It wasn't as if they were level two or anything. Silently she cursed her own blade, it wasn't as sharp as she would have liked. "My scythe needs an upgrade. When we get back into town I want to find a blacksmith." She stated this as a mater of fact, with her tone showing in no plain terms that she was not going to take no for an answer. "And I'm getting hungry too." Her hunger brought thoughts of sizzling bacon and fresh cooked sausage to mind, causing a thin line of drool to cascade down the left side of her face. Perhaps when she killed these pigs they would get some pork as loot. That would be the best! If that happened however she was afraid she would be forced to hunt down every last pig this side of the river. Indeed for she loved bacon that much. But the battle was still raging, and her porky opponent was digging it's hooves into the gravel as it readied a charge. This was it, the final attack to decide the battle. She knew not what was happening to the other pig for her sights were set to this one and this one alone. Together they charged in unison, two warriors fighting to the death. One to eat and the other to live. It was almost poetic, the pigs eyes glistening as they met Sylvia's eyes, also glistening. In both their minds, this was a battle worth fighting. They were equal opponents, in every way. Then the duo closed and a victor was decided when the pig fell over and it's head rolled off to the side. "You were a worthy opponent." Sylvia nodded, tears flowing down her face as she clutched a small haunch of pork in her hands. "Your death SHALL NOT be in vain!" She sniffled and turned to Apoc, waiting anxiously to see the outcome of his own duel. When suddenly the grasses began to rustle eerily around them. After a few moments nothing, but then... a small dull green slime slithered its way out into the open. Followed by another, and then another, and then another. And another, until there were at least ten slimes slithering out of the grasses with seemingly no end. Sylvia knew now why exactly the boars had started to run. The slimes were coming. "The slimes are coming!" Sylvia backed up quite a ways in a panic. Never before had she ever seen THIS many slimes. Apoc had already nearly halved his MP, and she couldn't do much with just a simple healing spell. They didn't even have a tank with them. In other words the two of them were going to be royally screwed and quickly if they did not think of a plan and fast. "Got any ideas?" She gulped as she continued to back away. The only good thing about these slimes was that they were incredibly slow moving. Which meant that running away was going to be easy so long as they started to do it soon. But then again, Sylvia never really liked running away from anything. And all those experience points were just too tempting to ignore. As she stared out into the slime mob, Sylvia had a thought. It was crazy, and it would probably not ever work. But she was going to try it anyways. "Hey you! Slimes! DINNER TIME!" And with that she would hurl her previous glob of pork at the center of the mob, watching with tear filled eyes as it bounced off the gelatinous head of one of the advancing slimes. The slimes paused as if confused, staring at the meat like it was a curiosity the likes of which never before seen. And while it wasn't exactly the idea reaction, it was more then enough to set them up for a good distraction. Running at full speed she charged at the slimes, hefting her scythe up high and her spirits high. She could do this! They could do this! Just think of how much experience they would gain from this fight alone, they would level in no time at all! Ha, this game was child's play. But it is always said that overconfidence can be ones undoing. As he blade slid into the bodies of two adjacent slimes, she grinned in grim satisfaction as they burst into bubbles of nothingness. But her smile was short lived. Two more slimes had flanked her on either side and closed in to range. In two short seconds her smile faltered into a frown as they both attacked in unison. With a groan, Sylvia staggered backwards clutching her side. "Ow."Notes: Bacon~

Words: 778 It seems that the boars did not disappear after Sylvia's attack, so Apoc did land a dagger stab on the boar that had the singed hair. He did only a few points of damage, but it did get the boars attention. He only had enough time to act a dodge before the boar attacked. After successfully moving away from the boar, he knew that he still had about eight seconds until he could use Orb of Lava again. It was time to activate the Grimoire's ability. In the hands of a mage, a Grimoire is able to send out a basic magic attack. Putting away his dagger, Apoc would place his hands above the Grimoire and call upon the magic within the pages. The book would open to a page it has not been opened to before. At that moment, he knew it was time to send the magic attack out of the book. He would send his hand that was above the book towards the boar. All of a sudden, a white ball of magic would fly from the pages of the Grimoire and smack into the boar. It was not dead yet, but the health points were almost gone. One more magic attack and it was finished, the boar seemed to know this and decided to run away to stay alive. However, Apoc would perform the same action again and another ball of white magic would fly at the boar and smack into it. Bubbles would then appear. He would go grab the items from the boar. Now, he had two pieces of pork in his inventory. One from the boar he just killed, and the other from the boar he killed earlier.
Apoc would then look towards Sylvia and see that she was just finishing off the boar that she had aggroed on her. He smiled when he saw her grab the pieces of pork that lands from killing those things like it was a slab of bacon, which it could become with the right chef cooking it. However, that all changed when he saw at least ten slimes coming from the bushes after all of them. That was a little weird since they normally run away from battles. when he saw Sylvia backup to him in fright out of the amount of slimes, he knew he had to take charge until she was ready to take action. When she asked him for ideas, he would say only, "Just make sure none of the slimes get to me." After voicing what he wanted her to do, he would then concentrate on his Grimoire. Pages would turn and then Apoc would hold up the Grimoire and say, "Orb of Lava!" The molten ball of lava would fly towards the area that three slimes were closely together. When it landed, it hit all three of the slimes and they burst into bubbles. While waiting on the eighteen seconds he needed for the spells cool down, Apoc would hold his hand above the Grimoire to activate the magic attack. After the pages flipped to the page containing the basic attack, he would send the white ball of magic towards a slime by pushing his hand. Now, that made four slime down by him and it looked like two by Sylvia.
He would see how many more slimes there was and it looked like there was still ten. Where was these slimes coming from. He needed to keep killing these things until either Sylvia either had enough and started running or until they stopped attacking. One, two, three, four more slimes were taken out by his Grimoire's magic attack. Luckily, Sylvia was taking most of the aggro and he was able to kill the rest of the slimes before they got to him by this time. He was getting tired, but he knew he had to push himself. With one last push of magical force, Apoc decided to send out another Orb of Lava. Looking to see if there was another bunch of slimes, he was lucky enough to find four of them together in a formation that allowed him to kill all of them if the orb landed perfectly. The Grimoire's pages started to flip again. When it stopped, Apoc would once again scream, "Orb of Lava!" A molten ball of lava ripped from the pages again. The ball landed in the space that had all four of the slimes occupying, which had all of them turn into bubbles.
He needed to rest soon, so Apoc would look around to see if the slimes were gone or if Sylvia was ready to run away to fight another day.

If only she had another spell. Anything, anything at all besides just a blasted healing spell. She was next to useless with a scythe that might as well be a toy, armor that was next to worthless and without a single offensive spell in her spell book. Which was pretty damn depressing the more she thought about it. Why oh why did she have to pick Heartbeat Healing to be the spell she started with, of all the spells. Truth be told she really didn't even look, just picking a spell at random as she zoomed through character creation. Oh how she now wished she had paid more attention. But not it hardly mattered for what was done was done and nothing could change that. But perhaps after this battle all that could change. Ah yes the battle, it was proving to be a tougher challenge then she anticipated. They might actually die from this fight if they didn't watch themselves. Did you even re-spawn when you die like other video games? She had heard the occasional rumors circulating around, but none had been brave enough to try it for themselves. She for sure wasn't going to. Oh no, she was going to avoid death by whatever means possible. Especially today. With a short jerk of a nod, Sylvia positioned herself to the side of the mob, well out of her companions range. She was not all to keen on getting singed by a stray drop of lava and wanted to make sure she was well out of rage before he began to launch them. Which was pretty difficult to do when several slimes were rushing you and causing you to hop about the field like a drop of water on a hot skillet. Somehow though she would manage, taking out two slimes as she did so and earning herself a nasty bruise on her leg for the trouble. Thankfully, the never ending mob of slimes now did not seem so endless. Where there once stood a fearsome hoard now held a small crowd of maybe six or seven. The nightmare was about to come to an end, and soon the victory would be won. The slimes seemed both impartial as well as indifferent to the deaths of their brethren. Sylvia wondered if they were even aware of their doom, or even their own. Did they even have feelings, emotions? Were they programed for them? Everything else seemed so lifelike she wouldn't be surprised if they did. But now was not the time to delve into the mystery's of the mind of a slime. No now was the time to fight and fight she most certainly would. From her position she watched and waited, pleased as could be that Apoc had finally decided to treat her like as she deserved. That he was recognizing her potential not as a healer, but as a fighter. It made her warm and fuzzy inside, perhaps she would remember this moment in the near future. Preferably the next time she tried to cut him. Or not. Hopefully she would though. For now, she readied her scythe and made her move, darting towards the nearest slime with a strangled yell. By now she was thoroughly exhausted. Sylvia wasn't the fittest girl, even before she got sucked into the game world. Having to fight for your life tended to cause the adrenaline to flow though, and for that she was grateful. She didn't really think she could have lasted this long otherwise, the slimes while alone were incredibly weak, but in large numbers could prove deadly to those with low levels. Which she unfortunately was, at least for now. With every slime she killed, and every slime Apoc roasted, Sylvia was feeling just that much stronger. But they would not be able to last forever. Another lava orb whizzed past her, scorching three more slimes and leaving three more slimes staring her down. A few moments later and there was only one, two more slimes who met their deaths by the edge of Sylvia's blade. Her scythe was now covered in slime, which dripped and puddled across the grass with scatterings of coin throughout the mix. But she did not yet dare go to retrieve them. There was still one more slime left standing, but Sylvia did not have the energy left to move. Falling backwards against a tree, Sylvia gasped for breath as she stared down her opponent with cold eyes and silently prayed that Apoc would get to it before it got her instead. Notes: Yush! Almost done.

Words: 300 Apoc would watch as Sylvia finished all but one Dull Green Slime. There was only that one left. He did not have enough energy to pull off another magic attack, even the one that is just the basic one from the Grimoire. He knew he needed to get to the slime before it got to Sylvia. Luckily, those things were slow and he made it over to the slime before it could move far. Running out of magical energy, even though he had enough MP to cast one more Orb of Lava if he wanted to, Apoc just decided to his Grimoire he had in his hands and smack the Slime with it. The slime itself would disperse into bubbles with a few gold pieces falling down.
Apoc decided that he needed to gather the loot before it disappeared, so he limped around the battlefield to gather everything. Once he was done, he limped his way back to Sylvia and give her half the loot. Bending down to her current level, Apoc would grab Sylvia by the arms and help her up. Once she was up, he would help her get back to town, either by giving her someone to lean on or by carrying her on his back as far as he could take her.
The only thing that Apoc would say to Sylvia was, "You owe me a new book," while they were traveling towards back towards London. After all, the Grimoire that he hit the slime with was now covered in gross and gooey slime from the Dull Green Slime. Even though he was tired and had slime on his Grimoire, Apoc still had a smile on his face. He just helped Sylvia out and hopefully started to mend their torn relationship that this game has caused.

Was it over? Was, was it finally over? Syliva's vision was just a bit hazy and she blinked away her weariness. The slime just seemed to stop and a shadow passed over her, followed by a loud and resounding smack. Then a poof, and a jingle. When she finally could open her eyes, she was met with a strange sight. Apoc standing over her with a slime covered book. And he looked a bit mad to boot, holding his book off to the side with a sour looking expression on his face. Both of them were covered in slime, their clothes, weapons, their everything. An experience that she was neither too happy about nor would soon forget. She laughed a bit at Apocs comment though, and simply shook her head. "Just be lucky we survived that. How much do new books cost anyways?" She wasn't going to volunteer to buy anything unless she knew just how much she was going to be in the hole first. Because that was just smart business practice. When a small bundle of coins and items was placed in her lap, Sylvia couldn't help but jolt in surprise. She had known Apoc for most of her life, so she really shouldn't have been surprised. But... even still. It was nice to know that she could depend on the guy, and trust that he wouldn't steal her share when she wasn't looking. She grunted her thanks, and grudgingly accepted his help as they heaved her sore and battered body off the forest floor and headed back to town. She wasn't sure about a new book, but when she got back to town the first thing she was going to buy was a pitcher of beer. A big pitcher, and probably a sandwich to go with it. Sylvia tried her best not to put too much strain on poor Apoc's back, knowing full well that he was just as tired as she was. While she was tired pysically, he had drained his mana reserves nearly dry trying to keep them alive. She barley had any energy left to keep her eyes open, but she had enough energy to do this. With a light yawn, she held her now heavy staff in front of her with half lidded eyes, jerking herself away from Apoc in order to do so. "Heartbeat." She yawned again, making it incredibly obvious to any observer that she was straining just to do this one simple thing. "Healing!" Even as her eyes fluttered closed, Sylvia was aware that her spell had taken effect and a small smile shadowed across her face. She was confident that Apoc would catch her. He better after healing his sorry but. She could heal herself later, after she had a good nights sleep, which she didn't really have a choice in the mater as her body was forcing it upon her if she liked it or not. Oh, and a bath. Oh how she needed a bath to rid herself of all this slime. But all those things would come soon enough, for now it was rest for a job well done. Notes: And our first thread has ended, woo! This was fun, and I learned allot about my character in the process. Thanks Apoc <3 Also... EXIT! :D
