[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Sylvestra [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Abigail Bethany Kiens [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 17 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: original, ORIGINAL [yutaka] [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Crow [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]In her past life Abigail possessed the features of a plain, somewhat overweight, teenage girl. The most defining feature of the young woman was a messy bushel of dark-brown hair running far down her back. Slightly obscured by low hanging, rough cut bangs, two chocolate eyes were set, often additionally shrouded by meek, heavy eyelids. Surrounding these orbs was a landscape of pale features, including thick, rounded lips, a hawk-like nose, pudgy, low-set cheeks, and small, circular ears. Leading down from a curved jaw, a relatively thin neck supported the head of the girl, which in turn sprouted from marginally wide shoulders. Below this came a thick torso attached with four short, plump limbs. Now Sylvestra is a young, graceful elf maiden. An immediately obvious change in the fay's new characteristics can be found in her short, salmon colored hair. While it retains the thick nature of Abigail's real mane, able to almost fully conceal her pointed ears, the new style drops to just above her shoulders and is tamed into a bob-like cut. Within this pink casing is an angular, petite face commonly seen of the sylvan race. Small, pursed lips, a thin nose, high pressed cheekbones, and sparkling blue eyes generally drawn into a narrowing glare of contemplation all make up this delicate portrait that is topped off with a thick pair of black-rimmed glasses. Following a throat of soft, blushing skin, a small pair of soft-sloping shoulders lead down to a lanky body of almost direct contrast of her real features. Thin arms and legs lead into lengthy hands and feet set with exquisitely kept nails of an almost glass-like quality. Covering the elven girl can often be found the simple robes of a priestess that make use of a unassuming color pool of neutrals and browns, giving a prudent, almost scholarly aspect to the inwardly obstreperous woman. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Sylvestra’s persona is best described with the words “odd” and “obsessive” both inside Elder Tale and in her previous life. A key concept in the make-up of Sylvestra’s mind is a complete infatuation with fantastical worlds of fiction. Often in her previous life the girl would become completely absorbed in games, books, and movies that she completely disregard reality in favor of lively places of adventure. This was often held to such a degree that the girl would be labelled with the title of “weirdo” due to her constant ramblings and fixations on the lore of various stories. Despite originally holding a more timid and modest nature before the Catastrophe due to emotional pain caused by her associates, the girl has completely let her fanciful flights take over her mind in this new world, leading to a soul deeply ingrained into the now very real world of Elder Tale. While not to the extent of a complete egotist, another important element of her identity is a very analytic nature that often can be viewed as judgmental when it is applied to humans. The young woman enjoys the feeling of superiority over information through intense breaking-down and studying. Though it could not be said that Sylvestra is always correct in her intense examinations of the facets of life, this does not deny the elven girl from a feeling of false elevation at her musings, often causing her to overlook otherwise obvious details apparent to those with a slightly less lofty view of the world. Despite this seemingly overarching complex, the girl's former passive self can be seen in her choice of classes, preferring mostly to engage in support roles both inside and out of combat. In this, the young woman can be seen as taking on an almost motherly role for companions, happily aiding those around her, even though she prefers to outwardly be seen as an uninvested manipulator that uses her abilities to control situations. Sylvera openly encourages others to see her goals as those of a classic status seeker, searching for power through the destruction of others, very much an idealistic desire of a girl crazed by the various villains encountered in her stories of fantasy. Despite this facade, underneath the thin layer one would find a more humble dream of finding a fit in the vast network of life. Foremost in this is Sylvestra's desire of feeling apart of something greater than her sole self, preferring to surround herself with others while not playing a particularly emphatic role among these peers. Following this, the young elf finds solace in work, being rather fond of engaging herself and challenging herself to new tasks due to her otherwise brooding nature when left unoccupied. In spite of her attempts to cloak herself in with a dark presence, Sylvestra can very rarely be seen achieving her desire of appearing as a malevolent figure. More often than not others will often see the teen as little more than a charming, addle-brained curiosity fitted with the caricature of a scheming mastermind, achieving far more of a comic effect than how the elven girl views herself. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Abigail was born into a middle class British family as the sole child of school teacher and general practitioning doctor. Although neither parent could be seen as wholly negligent and brought up their child with tolerable care, both were ultimately unprepared to become parents. Choosing to detract no more than necessary from their normal lives, Abigail's parents would often allow television to babysit their child, something that the young girl eagerly accepted. As she grew, the child became more and more withdrawn into the world of movies, cartoons, and the occasional drama or science-fiction series, rarely socializing with others even when she entered school. Her parents, seeing no harm in the easy entertainment this provided the girl, were content to allow this to progress, even as the youth retreated from reality in favor of being completely absorbed with fictional worlds. Eventually Abigail would discover other forms of introverted amusement such as video games, reading, and finally the internet. It was online that Abigail was at last able to find a place of expression for years of pent up desire to explore interaction with others. Through this, the young girl began to experiment with a number of different personalities that she would adopt as she passed through different communities, feeling free among the various other social oddballs that matched her tastes in various media that did not align with the vast majority of others she had observed in her real life. While Abigail was perfectly content to live in this ever-closing bubble, the outside world was not. When Abigail entered high school, the awkward teen was met with a sudden stream of bullying previously unknown in her innocent childhood. The constant harassment by her schoolmates drew the girl to new extremes, barely even engaging with the parents she had lost almost all touch with. In despair, Abigail completely threw herself into the online world, choosing to form a life completely surrounded by the people she enjoyed interacting with. Additionally, the girl began to become more pulled into MMOs as a way of recreating a life that she could find satisfaction in. As the persecution continued in her real life, Abigail began to take on an even more unwieldy, almost deranged personality at her school, with constant open admissions of her obsessions with fictional worlds, complete denial of her poor relations with others, and even attempts to make use of fictional powers that captivated her fantasies. Falling more and more into the loneliness of an outcast, the young woman would soon rejoice at the announcement of the opening of an Elder Tale British server, glad to finally be able to immerse herself in the long running game in hopes of finding yet more ways to escape from her unsatisfactory reality. When these issues were all halted at once by the event of the Catastrophe, the woman now known as Sylvestra choose to make the most of her chance at a presumed reboot of her life, diving headfirst into the vibrant world shared by many seemingly like-minded individuals. Forms either a stationary barrier or a barrier around a target that continues to exist until the "energy" of the barrier expires. Energy will decrease slowly over time and decrease from damage taken. [attr="class","skill"]Prediction: The fortuneteller is able to see into the future and predict certain situations. This skill allows them to survey an area of radius 5 meters from their current position. All monsters that will spawn within the next 5 minutes will appear as semi-transparent figures with timers above their heads showing their spawn time. This information is only visible to the Fortuneteller. While some Fortunetellers use this as a way to avoid trouble, there's been a number of field boss hunters who like to have one with them so that they can predict the incoming monster and make preparations. [attr="class","skill"]Detox: When your occupation is all about alcohol, you can't let things like hangovers slow you down! Brewers are immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and potions. [attr="class","skill"]Starter Staff: A two-handed starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood.
