[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]TRIAL [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Molly Brown [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 23 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Bisexual (b/c people start becoming their character) [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Trial, Pomeleon [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Pomeleon [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] In real life Molly is a rather plump young woman, 4'8 in hight, interested in coffee and her work; being one of many desk clerks for Franco and Franco Co. She dresses up for her job by always wearing a neat, light colored blouse plus dark skirt and the company's mandatory vest with embellished logo. Outside of work she cares for little else than sweatpants and a turtleneck sweater to keep warm in chilly, old northern Washington D.C. House clothes could be a verity of colors, from neon pink to a nice royal purple, and any style. So long as it's warm and cheap Molly doesn't mind. Very practical if she does say so herself. Molly's raven black hair is normally pulled into a controlled bun with a braid surrounding it. Her long, straight cut bangs are swept aside out of her almond shaped, muddy brown eyes by a childish flower hair clip or two. Freckles dust just under Molly's eyelashes and down her nose in a light shower. Her nose is small like a button and her plump cheeks are almost permanently red from the cold air. Even with her short hight Molly tends to slouch forward when relaxed, most likely because of all the work she does at her desk day in and day out. However, her posture in the presence of authority will always be ramrod straight. All in all Molly is ordinary, not plain, but nobody remarkable or fancy. No scars, no damaging childhood injuries (that bat to the face from Collins didn't count). The differences between Molly and her Elder Tale character are more of a tired representation of herself. When she made Trial, Molly was exhausted and feeling harassed from all the customers she had to appease that afternoon. She put those negative feelings and disheveled look into the character, Trial, naming him that because she was only giving the game a trial run to quiet a friend. Needless to say she got more than she bargained for! EXTRA and have another EXTRA Trial is 5'7 and has shaggy, thick, rust colored hair that reaches down to his lower back making him look a bit wild. His bangs have been parted down the middle showing off his forehead. His side bangs are just as fluffy as the rest of his locks and are kept relatively manageable by gold manacles. They are about two inches wide and a few centimeters thick with a puffy ring on the edges. A simple design surrounds a Lavender gem in each. Three larger, 6 inch wide, versions of the manacles keep his thick mane of hair secure in low bound ponytails. Trial looks older than he really is, his face is pail like he hasn't been outside in months and dark bags droop under his slanted lavender eyes. Clothes consist of ruffly three layers; Long black striped pants, a black long sleeve shirt, a white short sleeve shirt, and a two toned tan coat with large hood that Trial never uses because his thick hair gets in the way. Trial's coat has warm dark tan spreading across his shoulder, on the inside of the coat, and on top of the two large pockets that represents his inventory space. The rest is a light beige with crimson diamond motifs on either breast, and on his pockets. These diamonds motifs are accented with gold. A large portion of his coat sleeves are also crimson with gold accents. Trial's boots look out of place as they don't belong with his set of clothes but are still starter equipment. Aqua and spring green clash horribly with the grey boot liner and soles. His every day clothes are that outfit sans his coat. Both Trial and Molly are relaxed and that shows in Molly's clothes and Trial's posture. Trial keeps his hands rather close to himself and when startled brings them up to his chest with his weapon. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]To be frank, Molly is an introvert through and through, just like Trial is, but both have the confidence enough to reach out for help and companion ship rather bluntly when needed. She's adapt at avoiding confrontation and will do so even if the countermeasure is ridiculous. Unfortunately this can causes more trouble. Molly's moto is "If I don't have to do it, I won't... probably." It's not that she's lazy, but she enjoys being laid back and will take any chance to sit down or doze off when not needed. When dealing with other people, Person of the Land or Adventurer, Molly takes a back seat and observes the situation before intervening. The reason for this is her sensitivity towards people's feelings which gets amplified when inside Elder Tale. This sensitivity applies to both PotL and Adventures, although the PotL don't set her off as much as her fellow heroes because of their more benign attitudes. All of her observational studies of people has made her a bit paranoid and disillusioned. Adventures have masks that they need to put up in order to deal with each other, and she hasn't mastered doing that. She believes it's best to be friendly and ordinary than attract attention, and thus trouble. Molly had a slight fear of people in power as well. For example, she is easily persuaded to do whatever her boss or a Guildmaster orders her to so long as it doesn't go against her morals. She doesn't have to be in that guild or be under that management, she'll still act. "They must know better than I do." Molly knows she's like this and doesn't want to get used, so as Trial she avoids guilds but she longs to be in one. She craves that type of closeness. That being said, she likes being a wall flower and watching people have fun so long as she's acknowledged as being part of the group she's fine. Having a close friend or two is ideal for her. Molly's natural love of being prepared and having good timing makes her an effective independent player and secretary. Honesty is a big thing for her as she gives people the benefit of the doubt even when they cross her a few times. Unless she has concrete evidence that someone is lying to her she will not believe naysayers. People of the Land are very important to her and she enjoys talking and healing them more than anything else in the game. They make her feel normal in her strange male body as she is seen as just another Adventurer. You could say her sanity depends on them treating her equally with her fellow heroes. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Molly is the middle child of 3 children; one older brother and a little one. Having a younger bother kept her on her toes for her whole childhood and parting from him to go to college hurt more than she though it would. After about the second child her parents were worn out and moved in their grandmother to help keep things under control, so Molly spent time listened to the amazing tales the old women wove. In Middle School she made a few close friends that drifted away during high school, leaving Molly on her own. She didn't mind because she had many acquaintances throughout the school to small talk with. Nothing extraordinary happened to her, nothing to make her upset or scared for life. The teachers would question her, "Don't you want to make friends? Don't you feel lonely?" Molly didn't know how to reply at the time, she wanted close friends, yes, but she also enjoyed simply being around people and being included in group activities. She was fine with floating from one person to another. That changes when she is turned into Trial in Elder Tale, but that would be getting ahead of ourselves. High School was ordinary drama watched from a distance. After she started college Molly kept her spirits up by buying plants to take care of in place of her brother, talking to her bro only over text messages and silly pictures. Sinking into college life was easy and she skated by with B's for her degree in English Literature. One Middle School acquaintance and college buddy, Collins, got her a job right away at Franco and Franco Co. The work was light and the pay was good so she had nothing to complain about but it was not stimulating. Everything was too simple for her and she longed for an opportunity to apply her English Literature degree. Collins saw her boredom and told her about a Japanese game he had been playing for years. It was all in Japanese but hey! they were making a British server that she could apply to with a bit of fenagling. He bugged her and bugged her for weeks until she relented. She warned him that she hadn't played a game like Elder Tale in a long time, and she didn't want to fight that much. "Then why don't you be a Cleric or a Enchanter?" That way she could boost him up with his new Swashbuckler. She had huffed and agreed. Only problem was Collins was going to be running late, extra work suddenly piled up, and so she should make her character and wait for him. Molly had sighed and agreed again, booting up Elder Tale and making a character. Being a English Literature Major she was instantly hooked on the rich lore about the new world, gobbling up what she could on the races. She instantly became Half-Alv for the story bonus and looked the race up online for more than the flavor text on them. Her only problem was what to make the Half-Alv look like? Chugging her cold coffee she looked at it and had an epiphany. Why not make him look like she felt? God, she was world weary and that was what she would put into this trial run character, and right there was the name too. Trial. After she was done creating her avatar, and laughing about how Collins wouldn't get to party up with a busty female character, serves him right, she pressed log into Elder Tale...and promptly vanished. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]1:Trial adores the People of the Land and wants to help them as much as possible, ashamed when an Adventurer treats them badly. Quests are fine and all but what about their every day health? Trial's crafting class is Pharmacist to combat his clumsy fighting style and to make potions for People of the Land. Trial wants to open up a traveling healing business for anybody to use. 2:Trial starts out with cloth armor and a staff believing he would have Collin's Swashbuckler to back him up. Unfortunately either Collin didn't make it into Elder Tale or has been thrown into another city. Now Trial needs to collect an Axe and Heavy Armor to get anywhere in the game. Squishy Healer is not a good thing without a party. Maybe he should get one of those instead? |

A basic cure magic that removes negative status effects from a single ally. It consumes little MP and has the ability to remove negative status effects regardless of type, but higher skill ranks allow shorter casting times for this skill. Its effect is a pale blue light similar to that of Heal. The effectiveness of its cure effect may vary based on the level of the skill and the gap between the level of the user and the level of the monster which gave the status effect. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Miracle Mine: Description. A light-elemental spell. After performing this spell, the ground beneath the player's current position will light up with a white glow. If an opponent were to step on this aura, it immediately reacts and strikes the target with a bright small-scale explosion. Alternately, the user can trigger a manual activation by snapping their fingers. If multiple mines are present, they will be triggered based on the order they were set. After about five minutes, the mine will naturally dissipate on its own, however. This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 5 seconds after placing a mine. [attr="class","skill"]Saint Channeling: The cleric becomes immobile while performing this skill and cannot perform any other skills while this skill is in effect. Every few seconds, all party members within the immediate vicinity will gradually regenerate their HP as long as the cleric continues to cast this spell. It is interrupted as soon as an opponent lands a direct hit on the cleric, so party members should be ready to defend and interpret hits meant for their teammate. This skill has a minimal casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 30 seconds the moment it is interrupted. [attr="class","skill"]Toxicity Tolerance: Pharmacists have developed a certain resistance around drugs. This skill can be toggled to make a pharmacist immune to status debuffs caused by potions. Additionally, they passively recover twice as fast from poison status effects. [attr="class","skill"]Concoction: Using their knowledge of herbs and natural remedies, the apothecary is able to treat others. The load time for this skill is ten seconds, and the target's HP is restored by 10%. Any physical status effects will also be cured. Due to a risk of possible toxicity effects, Concoction cannot be used on the same target more than once per thread.
