Being forcefully logged in was one thing but being trapped in the game was another. Here on his cleric character, Quarie had been stuck in this game exploring the English Server. He had made his character to his likeness in any way he could. He didn't want to be like those who made female characters and turned out to be dude's, or the girls who you thought were guys. Quarie wanted to be true to himself and to his Gender. His name was another thing. He usually used his name because it was so unique that noone would ever think to use it, but seeing that this server was new and all, Quarie wanted to get a new name which is why he chose BlackBeast.
Sitting down on the ground he would scroll through his profile and check out his stats. He had nothing, which was expected. He had no experience in any of his classes. What exactly was he going to make to eat? His stomach growled a bit as he but a hand to to it. He was starving and needed nourishment. Never in his life did he miss the taste of food so much in his entire life. Putting his stat screen away, Quarie would now stand up and draw his weapons. Taking his Wand and Buckler out, he would pose in private enjoying his time in the game trying to think on the bright side of things. He then remembered that starting a fight in the city would summon some sort of system that kill you and send you to the cathedral. He put his weapons away just to be careful and walked along the road. Quarie was now bored out of his mind. He wanted to do something, he wanted to fight something anything would do for the moment. He would walk around the parliament Building to search for clue's.
Making it over to the foliage covered building he fixed his cloth armor and walked passed a couple groups of people about to make their way on a raid or just to clear a dungeon. Sitting under a nearby tree Quarie would rest there for the time being until somebody with something to do would show up.

This is a pain... That thought had been echoing through Pandemonium's head since the first moment she had 'entered' this world. This was supposed to be a game and yet somehow she was inside it - but that wasn't the problem. Oh no, the issue lied with how the girl had created her character. Being so cute and cuddly was just the thing for her when she made this character but now that she was stuck in its body there was a huge issue. "Why did I make this character so SHORT?!" The feline roared at nothing, grinding the palms of her hands into her feline head. This had been taking more than just a 'little getting use to', using these tiny legs. At least she could walk normally but somehow the distance that she covered was no where near to what she was used to back in life. On top of that she had to waddle most of the time thanks to being overly conscious of how her feet were. Her hands held a relatively human shape but her feet were kitty feet. Paws.
Of course that wasn't a bad thing, not at all - the problem lied with her brain. With her much smaller 'foot-size' she had this little mentality that if she didn't take big steps the girl would fall flat on her face. Though the only thing she was really doing was making herself look ridiculous while still falling flat on her face. Her cloth armor shows for that with all the dust gathered up on it. "Ah this sucks..." She managed an irritated chuckle to herself. Couldn't she get like a ride somewhere, someone? Scanning the area did little to ease her suffering as most of the other players around her were either so depressed about being stuck in a game that they didn't dare move from their spots or the others were in their groups doing who knows what. Ah, if only there was some busty babe who would come help the little kitty out that would be the best. But there was also a problem with that... Even if the body were a girl's would the person inside also be a girl? It seemed like there were people who did that the creepy buggers.
Waddle-walking seemed to be getting her nowhere at an even slower pace than it would've been for to crawl so in the end the girl was stuck to looking for a ride. Scanning and crawling about the girl finally spotted her perfect victi-er, helpful civilian. At least this one didn't look like he was doing anything that looked particularly strenuous. A grin washed over her face. With a bit more waddle-walking the girl on toward this mysterious 'dark horse', raising one hand curled into a makeshift 'paw' calling out; "Hey you! Mister! Wanna help a damsel out?" A mischievous little grin was set on her face. ________________________________________________________________ Word Count - 487

While lost in his own thought a loud voice brought him out of it. He looked up but didn't know where it was coming from. He suspected that the person was calling out to someone else. The voice called out again and Again the beast looked up but couldn't find anyone. He then glanced down to see a werecat calling out to him. He would get up and walk up to the little werecat. Picking up the player so that they could talk face to face, he smiled a bit. It was his first time encountering another player. "Well aren't you a cute little werecat. Were you the one calling out to me?" The young male didn't really express his feelings much but when it came to cute things he couldn't help himself. A light breeze would blow through the area forcing the foliage to swing back and forth. Quarie's hair blew with the wind as he looked at the cute creature in it's eyes. "How exactly can I help you?" Quarie hadn't exactly confirmed whether this player was male or female as of yet since it was hard to tell just by looking. So he would hope to extract that information through conversation.

”Hello~? I’m right here? I know I’m small but I’m not that small!” Pandemonium had been calling, but at this point it was more like that hopeless feeling one gets when they’re being ignored. At least that’s what it felt like at first when she had started calling after this random player, who looked like a guy she might add. Best thing about guy avatars is that they are either one: being true to their gender or two: a girl in disguise. Either the feline knew for sure that she liked it better when people didn’t lie about their gender, but then again she wouldn’t turn away a friendly girl even she was in a guy’s body. What rude monstrosity would do that?
The fellow did at least look around, signaling that he was hearing and just not seeing her or that he was actually ignoring her and making himself look like jerk by mocking her. It was a good thing she didn’t have claws else that guy’s arm might’ve just been their first target if he dared to ‘look around’ and then lay back to rest. Thankfully she got the former as he was indeed looking for her. How did she know? It looked like there was a gleam of curiosity, puzzlement really; in his eye. Of course she wasn’t actually sure but her feminine instincts told her it must be true so why the heck not. A girl who doesn’t trust her instincts isn’t a very good guesser, or just has really bad instincts. At least her constant “hey, hey’s” got his attention. That was what her instincts also told her.
And they were right for when he finally did spot her, Pandemonium’s ears perked straight up. Success!Mission impossible finally accomplished! Just like the sometimes impossible projects she would have to do back at the college. ”Finally noticed me eh?” The feline grinned, preparing to give the stranger an even toothier grin until she felt something touch her. One moment she was on the ground, next there was the guy’s face. Telepathy! The girl mused in her mind. This guy, a total random stranger; did exactly what she was hoping that her end result would’ve been. Well more like she just wanted to get off the ground so she’d stop face-planting every two minutes. By his compliment and question the feline replied accordingly, ”Why yes indeedy.” Clapping her hands together the girl continued, ”Pleasure, name’s Pandemonium. Summoner, mechanic, and animal tamer extraordinaire – least that’s what I’d like to say but I’m afraid this is the first time I’ve even played a mmo that wasn’t a browser.”
Her little confession brought a small blush to face, ”A bit embarrassing to be sure. I was wondering if you might give me a few pointers like… How in the world are you able to walk to smoothly in a different body?” Truthfully the main reason for her wishing for this player’s attention was so that she could somehow distract herself from her horrible amount of fail before she really even started. But even if he didn’t have the answers, the girl was more than happy to have finally gotten someone’s attention who wasn’t dead-set on being, well… dead.
The girl took the time to note his features while she waited for his answer. Male, from the voice; freakishly tall compared to her avatar. From the looks of him he was either a human or a half-alv – according to the data of the races she had read. Obviously not any of the beast races that was for sure. The robe people had tattoos and dwarfs were thickly bearded. Though she was guessing on that last part actually… His clothing suggested a mage-type class like hers. She wasn’t sure which or even if he was a damage dealer like her or a healer but they weren’t outside the town so it was fine. By his features he looked to be like a literal tall, dark, and handsome. Except friendly, much friendlier than those cold character her cousin would always watch when she was working. ____________________ Word Count - 682

Black Looked at the werecat in awe. He had seen a lot around but he had never seen any this close. The cat soon introduced itself to the man with the utmost politness possible. By the cat's tone of voice it sounded like Pandemonium was a female. 'So she's a summoner. Interesting but how could a summoner be so small, and a mechanic at that.' A summoning animal tamer did seem to be understandable but for a beast to tame other beasts seemed kind of ridiculous. It was funny to Black but now was not the time or place to laugh. He would have to return the Cat's politeness with his own.
"Why Hello Pandemonium, I'm BlackBeast. I'm a Half-alv Cleric, Sigilmaker, and an Alchemist. I'm a guy. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I've played all types of MMO's but my favorites would have to be this sort."
Black did enjoy Pandemonium's company. She had just saved him from an unknown amount of boredom. He would want to repay her in any means possible. Before he was about to speak he was asked about his height and how he was able to walk so smoothly. "Well in all Honesty, I make my characters to my likeness as much as I possibly can. So this is almost like walking in my natural body." This was true on his part. He didn't like lying unless the situation called for it and the situation obviously didn't call for it. Now that he answered her question he would now ask his. "So if I may ask, why did you make your character so small? I mean, it would look adorable at a taller size." This question bugged him a bit but he was curious to know the answer.

She could feel this guy’s gaze on her and in all honesty the feline was enjoying it. There was a reason why she made her body this way and that was to attract the other players. Not in the ‘oo~ I’m sexy’ way but more of the ‘ah-blargh! It’s so cute!’ kind of way. She had tried to make herself as adorable as possible which worked very quite well according to her. Even with it’s unexpected… problems. To say the least. She had wondered what he thought of her introduction, or rather her choice in classes. Being new to having three specific types of classes it was a bit odd to think the least that she had three to focus on. Alas, he made no verbal note. Well that was fine, if there was no comment about then that meant she did a rather good job at picking what she did right? Right.
Then he introduced himself. BlackBeast was it? That was definitely something easier to remember than that of her own name. But what were summoners without their cool fancy names? Pan logic right there. He confirmed her suspicions on the race, which she did a mental fist-pump to; and also confirmed that he was indeed a guy. That part she figured. It didn’t occur to her that he might’ve not recognized what gender she herself was. Actually she thought that it was obvious. (Except that her voice was rather deep for a girl’s so it wouldn’t really surprise anyone if they got it wrong on the first try, well they would be surprised but those who knew wouldn’t be.)
Unfortunately that was where the feline lost her mental notes. On the gathering of his other two classes besides his ‘Cleric’ class, the feline hadn’t the slightest idea of what those were about. She knew that alchemists made things similar to how mechanics built things except a little different. But sigilmaker, yeah she had no idea. It was good to know that he a King of MMO’s, oh it was a very good thing to know that.
So height does contribute to the adaptability of the brain to the body… Hm – I see, I see.” Hearing how his avatar’s body was much similar to his actual body confirmed the cat-girl’s suspicions. ”So that means I just need to get used to walking around on stilted feet at a much shorter height then…” Pandemonium grunted to herself. A valuable mental note indeed.
A game of you ask, I ask started and the feline was only too happy to oblige if it would help her to understand how to work with this. ”Small? Well, ‘cuz I’m adorable.” Pan said simply. (This is the part where little innocent-moe flowers would pop out of her head.) ”If I had known that this game would suck my consciousness I probably would’ve made this body a lot more similar to mine but… Who knew really? Minus the people who got us trapped in here that is.” A toothy grin shined at the ending. ”I think it’s more of a personal favorite really, I adore small things like plushies. So having a small body like this was like a having a plush kitty toy. Sorta.”
Hopefully that was a good enough explanation as she didn’t have any other real reasons. ”Okay! Time for question two! As I told you I’m a summoner but I haven’t the slightest idea of how to use my skills without the list. Not like it really matters at this point but it would be helpful to know in the future. I’ve heard others whispering about a way to just attack and the skill would just pop out or something like that.” Pandemonium made little motions with her hands as if trying to emphasize, looking adorable as her whiskers and ears flicked about while she thought. _____________________ Word Count - 644

Quarie could only think at the moment of how cute the little cat was. It really was adorable. Pandemonium made a reference to itself as a little plush doll, which it did look like in fact resemble.
”Okay! Time for question two! As I told you I’m a summoner but I haven’t the slightest idea of how to use my skills without the list. Not like it really matters at this point but it would be helpful to know in the future. I’ve heard others whispering about a way to just attack and the skill would just pop out or something like that.”
Attacking without the skill list was a new idea to Quarie. Yeah he heard it before but he didn't know exactly how to do it. He only knew through the list. "I'm sorry I don't really know how to do that. I'd actually like to know my self." Quarie pondered the idea in his head. Attacking without the skill list would really be a help. Being blinded by the menu screen would just hamper rather than help him. "Maybe if you want we could try it outside of the city limit's. I hear that if you fight in the city, the area spawns these super minions that kill you on site and send you directly to the Cathedral." The thought of being killed by the system scared Black a little bit but what scared him more was the fact that these super Minions were being thought of so highly. The power alone made Black's skin crawl. His heartbeat would probably leap out of his chest if he saw them in person. He would scroll through his skill list and look through his skills. So far he only had a support move his other moves were just used to enhance weapons or just do alchemy in general. Quarie sighed a bit and continued speaking to the feline.
"I need to level. My moves aren't that great at the moment. Also need some new armor, this stuff doesn't even look like it'll survive one hit against any monster I encounter." Quarie was thinking about this for a while. Why exactly did they get such crappy armor. Of course Black didn't expect some level 90 Helm of Destruction, but something...scratch that...ANYTHING would be better than the gear he was wearing at this exact moment. "What do you think. You up to go kill something?"

One could just see the eagerness in the feline’s eyes. You could be blind and still see it. So it was a surprise to see the feline merely stroke her chin and give out a small ‘oh well’ in response to the cleric. ”Maybe it requires some sort of testing method…” Was her own reply in turn for the other’s confession. It was more of an aside to herself, something to let her to stroke her whiskers in a ‘wise-man manner’. He seemed to agree with her in that a little testing was to be in order. Clapping her hands together once more the feline gave her fellow player a bright smile. ”Yes we should test this out.” At word of the ‘city-guard’ the feline merely tilted her head a bit. There was a guard? Oh yes! There were those… Eh, they were probably just the stiff NPC types that pretty much overwhelmed anyone who would dare to draw a weapon in a ‘peace zone’. That being said the feline didn’t actually know too much about them herself. In fact she probably knew much less about them than BlackBeast did.
”Ah yes but where to practice? The easiest areas with the fewest spawns would be best. I’ll admit I’d rather not test this out in town with those guard things you were talking about.” A nervous chuckle left her. She watched as his hand moved about, going through his menu no doubt. Copying him, Pan also browsed through what she had. Of course with her level the only useful skills there were her summon and the short time skill under her animal tamer. But both of those weren’t very good when it came to extended combat, least that’s what the descriptions were indicating. Well, worst case scenario she had her butter knife. Yes – that little dinky beginners dagger of hers was named butter knife.
Oh how she could agree with how nasty their armor was. ”I know what you mean, weapon aside we may as well just be wearing rags with these things.” She pulled at her own dusty garments, ”Couldn’t they have just prettied these up? Just a little?”
Then a thought clicked in her head. ”Since we’ll be studying together we should share information about our skills. Or at the very least our most effective ones.” Twirling her fingers through the menu, Pandemonium accessed her inventory summoning out both her grimoire and dagger. With the blade resting at her side and the book being held with both arms (it was a freakishly large book) the feline began once more. ”It would be good to know how good our offense and defense choices would be,” Pan chuckled; ”This is my equipment. My only summon is the Carbuncle and that is a ranged creature. So it is very weak at physical combat so I thought I might get some extra help from some wildlife. But at this early I’m sure that a little physical lacking is fine right?” _______________________ Word Count - 498

Black was happy that Pandemonium agreed to train with him. It would probably prove useful if they were to get suddenly attacked. All that was left now was to get the party set up and he and Pandemonium could go. Another statement made by the little cat about their clothes also proved true. They truly would be better off with Rags than what they had on now. He really wished these clothes actually looked attractive at least. Moving along with the conversation they started to speak about their moves. Pandemonium started with his move explanation. Her Carbuncle summon seemed pretty weak but Black was no better off. Scrolling through his moves reading their descriptions he realized his role playing Move might have been of some help to them.
"Well the best I could do for you is use Sigil of Aquarius on your Grimoire and declare a certain buff for a short amount of time. My main move though is Heal. The casting time is Quite long, but it grants a lot of HP. I have no attack spells as of yet so this is all I have right now." Black gave an uneasy chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head. Clerics were judged heavily on how much they healed and if they didn't have a good healing move, they wouldn't be accepted as much as a druid would be. All Black knew was that he needed to acquire some better spells. Attack and Defensive mostly. "The best I can do is keep you alive long enough to kill some of the monsters but if they attack faster then I can heal, we're screwed." Black then closed his menu and scratched his head. So until I learn a new move it's all up to Carbuncle at the moment." Black Hated having to rely on someone to help him as he stood back and watched. After all he had a wand. Why couldn't he just shoot some magic bullet or something from it that did damage enough to protect himself. This thought bothered Black a lot but he was level one. Being weak and helpless was allowed at his level. "A bit of Physical lacking is fine if we play smart." He said smiling wide.

Pandemonium made herself a little happy gesture, including a grin as wide as her fluffy face would allow. ”That settles it then, overwhelm and conquer – in a way of thinking that is.” She was ecstatic to know that there was indeed something at these horribly early stages that would help her scrap book. ”And no worries with the healing. Worst case scenario is for me and carbuncle could run until its ready.” Though that didn’t sound like a bad plan in general. Actually she was quite sure that even if she was going solo there would be a lot of running involved. Lots and lots of running… and falling but hopefully mostly running.
”To keep ourselves from getting overpowered we should try to pick an opponent who both really slow and has a lower attack right? Hm… I haven’t been outside of town but I’m sure there’s something like that out there. Even in the browser games there were always slimes. Nasty things those are…” She couldn’t help but shiver at the thought of having to physically deal with a gooey mass. She may have been a naturally sloppy person but even the sloppiest of people wouldn’t necessarily want to touch a giant ball of goo would they? Well this cat didn’t that’s for sure. And that is where Carbuncle would come in. Although it was a ranged unit it’s job was to protect her right? Use the creature as a shield for now basically.
With a little fist pump Pan grinned rather mischievously this time, ”No worries, Carbuncle will definitely be a good shield. Hopefully…” That last little bit became more of a mumble. But it was settled that both of them needed something of more offensive type spells. ”Shall we meet up somewhere or just head to the edge together? I don’t really have anything else I need to do now so I’ll leave the decision up to you.” _____________________ Word Count - 321

"Well there are some Slimes but the low level ones appear in the swamp. The higher level slime are in the forest and I hear they all travel in packs. I looked up some of the monsters on my computer before downloading the game. The area bosses are pretty strong too." The thought of getting mobbed by slime sort of scared Black a bit. He brought out his Buckler and held it up in the air. "If worse comes to worse I'll cast Sigil of Aquarius on my shield to defend you guys and by some time." Black's words didn't sound too reassuring since his equipment was so crappy but, so far he would have to act as the main Defense. "I Think we should head to the woods and avoid the flower grove, I wouldn't want to run into THAT area boss even if my life depended on it." As Pan assured Black that Carbuncle should be good enough he felt okay enough to go at that very moment. "Why don't we meet up at the edge, that way we could prepare ourselves first before going out." Black now opened his barren landscape of a friend list and added Pandemonium to it. His first friend in the game after the apocalypse, this was starting to look like a blessing in a curse.

Ugh… She knew, Pan just knew there was going to be slime in this game. Her visible wince at their existence was clear enough for others to know that she wasn’t exactly the happiest person alive to kill slimes. All she could really hope for it that they didn’t smell… and taste like pudding. This mush, mulch, bird-food-in-disguise just killed her poor taste-buds. Murdered them it did. ”Heh… slimes… Well I guess it’s not too surprising to hear that they will group up and gang up on us. Sometimes I curse those AI developers.”
She listened to his plan as attentively as possible. Perking her ears forward so that she ‘wouldn’t miss any details’. A forest and a flower garden, then there was apparently a swamp somewhere but since they weren’t headed in that direction Pan wasn’t too worried about it. But the mention of a area boss pricked her curiosity. ”Boss? You don’t think it’s a giant slime boss do you..?” Just the thought of that chilled her blood. Stroking at her whiskers Pan tried to play off her visible paleness, ”Yeah – avoid the flowers. Okay. Flowers bad. Got it.”
”Alright I’ll meet up with you at the edge then.” Pandemonium confirmed, adding BlackBeast to her friends list as he was doing. First friend, (first real socialization here) – this was a success of it’s own kind. With that the feline made a little bow, waving him off as she went. ”See ya.’’ __________________ Word Count - 243 -------- OOC: Do you want me to start the thread in the forest or do you?
