The Schwarz-Oshiro estate was mostly a quiet place; a get-away from the city life, and it provided a brief respite from adventuring. Whenever the couple Caerbannog and Kumori wanted some time to themselves, they would stay in their private house for a day or two. The cottage could still use some work, nothing significant though, just some additional furnishings and such. Kumori had been uninspired as of late and so it had taken a toll on his leveling and crafting. Caerbannog, on the other hand, kept bouncing around the realm and was some levels short of attaining Level 90 for her Animal Trainer subclass. If she succeeded any time soon, then she would probably be the first adventurer to attain Level 90 on all three classes. But more importantly, or at least to Caer it was important, she would be able to try her hand at taming rarer creatures. Did owlbears exist in Elder Tale? Was Slender Man a tamable thing? She had so many questions, but the samurai knew that the answers would come later. At the moment, she had to focus on leveling up her tamer class. And what better way to train taming skills that to let a dragon loose in your own backyard? Call it daft, call it crazy, call it absolutely insane; little Caerbannog donned her dragon pajamas which had recently been tailored for her by her dear husband. She then summoned her wyvern Beech who, naturally, wanted to get the hell out of there.
A quiet place? Not today. Too bad for Kumori, who probably wanted to rest after he finished that mountain of paperwork the other day. His wife had run out to their yard, and so early in the morning too that the rooster had not even crowed and the sun was still beneath the horizon. There was a thin fog on the estate, probably something that drifted in from the mouth of the Thames and up the river. Beech, who vaguely remembered the layout of the yard, headed right for the rabbit house. He had always wanted a taste of those stupid rabbits that lived in the orchard. Because the wyvern was now a summoned pet just like Foreman Mukade IX, if he was there then the centipede was definitely not around; only one pet could be called out at any time after all. Beech's mouth watered at the thought of having fluffy little creatures for breakfast, but his thoughts were so rudely interrupted when the fog began to swirled around him. Something hit his legs, a rather painful feeling like a thousand paper cuts, and when he looked down at the cleared fog, Beech saw brave Hyzenthlay who had just used her mini-whirlwind attack to slam right against the wyvern's legs.
"A noble attempt, but the difference in our levels-" the slightly impressed dwagon was so rudely interrupted once again when a cold, hard piece of wood slammed against his chin and almost snapped his neck as his head was thrown upwards.
"STAY AWAY YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" Hyzenthlay shrieked at the wyvern after she had slammed her club up against his chin, and then she dashed back into the rabbit house and closed the door behind her.
For good measure, the enemic buster summoned two frenmic rabbits, tossed them out at the wyvern, and then she slammed the door shut again. Beech wasted no time in murderizing the sacrificial rabbits, but to his dismay they quickly disappeared into mana after he had snapped their necks. Not even a single hit point was left because they were low-leveled, and since the creatures were summoned things, they left no loot either. Furious (and hungry), the wyvern stormed towards the rabbit house after he had righted his almost-dislocated jaw. He would have attacked the wooden structure already if a ball of pain had not suddenly collided with him from the direction of the cottage. Beech was thrown so suddenly to his right side and his wing crashed through and upturned the earth. Dust and fog slowly settled around him and once he was able to turn his chin up, the wyvern noticed a horned ball of colors. It was so familiar... that kind of strange attack and the ridiculous outfit too. It reminded him of that day when he faced a pair of adventurers and their summons. He thought he would get the upper hand because he was able to fly while they were grounded, and yet he had lost that fight.
"BEECH!" Caerbannog unrolled herself from that ball of horns and colorful cloth, "How are you today?!"
The wyvern was about to growl at the wolf-hair, but then her blue eyes changed to a golden color and her hand grabbed the area around a major vein on the beast's neck. She gripped the wyvern's neck tightly but not enough to make him faint; or at least, not yet enough to make him pass out due to asphyxiation.
"I saw what you were trying to do," Caer spoke in monotone, "If you try to hurt the rabbits, I will slowly slice your wings off with a rusty metal saw and then I will tie your legs to a wagon. Afterwards, I will sell you to a lander merchant who will make you pull carts from Londinium to Avon and back again all your life."
The familiar feeling of dread and fear welled up within the wyvern once more. It was the very reason why she'd been able to tame him, and perhaps Caerbannog was the only one in the world of Elder Tale who was able to instill fear in the haughty wyvern. The two slowly got up as Caerbannog's expression reverted to her usual blue-eyed happy one. The fog began to dissipate as the sun peeked from the horizon and its first rays shone upon the estate. It was very early in a sleepy morning, but the wyvern and his tamer, and a certain brave little rabbit, had already caused enough racket to wake up a whole town.

Of all the things that the Animal Trainer wanted to tame, why did they all have to be creepy and scary? I mean… an owl bear? Slender man? You should notice how crummy things can become when you have to live with things like these. Kumori thought that Mukade would be the last thing, but boy was he in for a surprise. Next thing he’ll know, she’ll have tamed a spider. A GIANT SPIDER. I’m talking Shelob big! And then, Kumori is going to have to go through a dark and dank cave with the Light of Earendil through the gross and nasty webses. Filthy, nasty, little hobbitses. Think I was kidding? I wish I was, but watch, in a month or two, Caerbannog will want a spider and Ryuu is going to have to live with that. Nope, it was probably going to happen. Just to troll her husband, Kyuu would do such a thing. I pray for Ryuu’s livelihood, because he may not be able to survive after that. But in any case, Ryuu should support his wife in training her Animal Trainer levels. This would in turn help him train his own sub-class levels. And yes, Ryuu is a fan of peace and quiet, but that went out the window right after he had married his wife. I mean every day, there’s an animal that’s yelling or screaming, whether it be Hyzen yelling like a lunatic, Mukade clicking and making some conversation about how tasty the other animals are, or even how tasty Kumori is. Thankfully, he had an endless supply of the cakes that were named Rien’s Molten Lava cake. It kept the centipede happy, so it kept Kumori happy. This in turn kept everyone else happy, most of the time. This was not one of those times, as some type of storm was brewing. Kyuu’s new pet wyvern was attempting to eat the rabbits this time. And from what he knew, Kyuu did not like Beech very much. Why did she tame it? To correct him and teach him the new ways, probably. Well, what could you do when your wife was adamant about changing something to be better? Anyways, how did the day start? Screaming and yelling from Hyzen who was apparently fighting against the Wyvern who wanted something to eat. It was making such a loud ruckus that Ryuu had finally gotten up from his sleep and started towards the door. The amount of noise that was coming out of the main area of the house was atrocious, and the fact that he could actually understand it now was making it even worse. He was about to give Beech an earful, but another crash and silence. All he heard was a monotonous voice that was coming from his Caerbear. She was getting serious, and the wyvern knew that she was being serious. He shut up without much protest. He knew who his master was and he knew what she could do to him. Ryuu was just glad that he was usually on her good side… usually. “Good morning, hon. An eventful morning thusfar?” he asked sleepily. He glared at Beech, but he doubted it’d have any effect. Ryuu just walked up to his wife and kissed her on the forehead.

"Ryuu-niiiiiiiii~" the wolf-hair turned to her husband, put her arms around his torso and nuzzled against his chest, "Beech was being a meanie!"
Sure, she was quite a handful and at times seemed to be unmindful of the trouble that she caused to the people around him. But little by little, Caerbannog learned to be more expressive to her husband even out in public. Though 'public' was quite a stretch in this case. Even though they were technically outside, there was no one in the yard aside from the animals and the two adventurers. It was still too early for anyone to come by and do the chores in the estate, and the landers who woke up early headed downstream to catch the first schools of fish. Still, it was already a significant progress in their relationship for Caerbannog to be able to hug the assassin Kumori without being coerced or forced into it.
"He wanted to eat the bunny rabbits!" Kyuu then pointed at the rabbit house which remained guarded by two frenmic rabbits, the ones which Hyzenthlay had summoned, "He's being a vewy bad dwagon!"
The wolf-hair then turned to the wyvern, stomped on the ground and put her hands on her hips. What did she have to do to make him follow her instructions? Did she really have to use brute force on Beech? Caerbannog hoped not, but if the lives of anyone else was threatened, the samurai would not hesitate to put the wyvern in his place. Perhaps it was a difficult adjustment period to him, but in Caer's mind she was doing it to help not only herself what with the need to increase her animal training level; she was also helping the wyvern who surely would have had to face other adventures if she had not domesticized him. If anything, Beech would have eventually faced a group of adventurers not unlike the ones that tried to capture or kill the enemic buster Hyzenthlay.
"What do I do, Ryuu-nii?" Caer turned to the assassin once more, her back turned to Beech, "How do I tame this dwagon?"
Although she could influence the allegiance of a creature of Elder Tale, she still could not control their minds and movements with just her animal training skills. Perhaps it was also for the best since the more sensible creatures, like Foreman Mukade IX, could advise the tamer when necessary. Beech was proving to be a challenge for Caerbannog, however, and while she was not at her wit's end just yet, the samurai did want to break the wyvern's legs. She wished that the beast would not be so rude and annoying but wishes do not come true without effort. And unlike Hyzenthlay, who had the demeanor of a spoiled child more than anything, Beech seemed to be every bit a jerk. He had an air of haughtiness about him, something that would not go away with bribes or scoldings. The wyvern had to be tamed; it had to be drilled through his thick head that he now had to try and get along with those around him. And more importantly, he was supposed to fight alongside his tamer.
"He's kind of like Charizard but less cute and more ugly," Caerbannog pouted as she stared up at the assassin while she waited for him reply.
It was probably not a good idea to turn one's back to a wayward wyvern. Then again, it was also not a good idea to attack high-level adventurers. Beech had the right idea though... he made a run for it! The creature began to beat his wings and then he kicked off the ground. In an instant, Beech took flight and he headed towards the Windsor Greatwoods. The weather was against the wyvern though for as soon as he tried to rise higher, a fog settled in and the chilliest of winds blew above the woodlands. Cold-blooded, Beech remained flying below the the chilly air and he just glided over the woods, but the fog made it difficult for him to see. It was not long before the wyvern collided with a tree.
"OW! F***ing f***!" Beech growled; his voice echoed in the empty forest and rang out into the nearby Schwarz-Oshiro Estate.
By then, Caerbannog had turned to check on what her stupid wyvern was up to. She merely sighed when she found no wyvern there.
"I wonder if he knows that I can just unsummon him and then summon him again which would put him back to square one..." the samurai shook her head. She then took Kumori's hand, "Shall we fetch that Beech and drag him back here?"
The wolf-hair smiled so widely up at the assassin, but it was not one of her joyful smiles. Instead, it was sort of a grin that she occasionally displayed when she wanted to kill something. The assassin's tracking skills would probably be put to good use; they could follow the destroyed trees that the wyvern crashed through and if the creature was injured, he might be grounded for a while. What awaited at the end though? Death to the wyvern or a jolly breakfast for all? Maybe Ryuu-nii should lecture his wife now, of all times. Surely she would not take his head, right?
As for the wyvern who had crash-landed into the Greatwoods, he felt sore all over. Beech checked his wings; they were not broken, just sprained. It would definitely heal shortly and he might be able to take flight, but that is, if he found a large enough clearing. The branches overhead would not bode well for his attempts and he could end up entangled or injured. And so the wyvern, in all his huffing and puffing and cursing, walked off to find a clearing. He was not as agile on land as the centipede beast that Caerbannog also kept as a pet, but he could carry his weight and probably the samurai's too if he so allowed. If anything, the wyvern was like a massive winged horse that could do well both in the air and on the ground, but only if he allowed the samurai to train with him in battle.
