[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Ashtver [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Ashley Gantver [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 16 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Hibiki Kuze, Devil Survivor 2 [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Ashtver [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Ashtver has wild but smooth brown hair that dips low towards his right eye. His skin is fair to pale, as he is also in real life. In the real world, he is a little fat, but in Elder Tale, he has altered his body mass to be slightly more fit and forgiving. He is average in height, not too tall and not too short. His eyes are fairly squinted, due to literally growing in the dark. He prefers to wear black attire, but will occasionally wear small parts of white to accent his black wear. You will usually find his clothing to be long and quite skin-concealing. He really can't tell the difference between formal and casual occasions, so wears whatever he sees fit. Ashtver walks in a lazy but laid-back and care-free way. People see him as goth or emo at times, but in actual fact he is happy and (usually) polite. The only real changes between the game and real life is the slight exaggeration of facial features and the alteration of body mass to feel more nimble. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Ashtver prefers to be alone, as that's the only way he can get his own things done. When put in a group, he tends to rely on everyone else, can can't think for himself. He prefers to be practical when learning, finding it easier to learn as he goes, although he does seem to find patterns and links while doing so. When making decisions in combat and other situations, he makes sure that he considers the best for the most part of population, while thinking about what he could waste to get things done. He initially made choices for himself, not thinking about others in the process, however he now takes into consideration the feelings and thoughts of others before making choices on his behalf, as well as group choices. Ashtver tends to be honest most of the time, but when keeping a secret, he keeps the secret well hidden. When put in a situation where he needs to trust or not trust, he will usually end up trusting a person, unless their story is too far fetched. If he does end up having that trust broken, though, he makes sure they get what they deserve. He tries to make as good a first impression as possible. Along that line, Ashtver is what you would call a "Tragic Romantic". He likes to try and be romantic and get girls to like him, but ends up screwing up, one way or another. However the few he does manage to entice keep him in their sights for a long time. Due to his dislike of crowds, he prefers to work in small groups, if not alone. He values those close to him more than anything, including his own life. When a competition occurs, Ashtver is as serious as you could get. Whether it's practise or the real thing, he stays as serious as possible, and hates it when other's don't play by the rules. He's kind to many people, especially people he's just met, and is loyal to those he looks up to. He has a natural sense of direction, too. You may not be able to throw him in a deep, dark river and get him to tell which way is up and down, but if the group gets lost you can trust him to find the way back. However, his sense of trust an honesty would be the most likely cause of his demise. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Since he was five, Ashtver has loved games. He started off with smaller handheld devices, occasionally playing them, but as he grew older and older, he gained more and more gaming hardware, and slowly he retired to the comfort of his dark room more often. He was stuck in his room most of the time, but decided to still go to school. All through his schooling years, he may not have been top of his year, but he was definitely well above average. He made it into a specialist program, and kept his grades going. Due to his grades, he took more time off of his gaming. This didn't affect his skills, though. For years, he didn't have the reaction time for first person shooters, not the highly expanded mind for puzzle games and not the spacial awareness for MOBAs. However, what he did have was the analytical skills for MMORPGs and strategy games. When he received Elder Tale at age fifteen, he was in love. He would spend hours of his weekends farming and levelling up. Eventually he reached Level 89, and decided to stop before 90. He wanted his 90th level to be a great one with all his friends. Then, he realised he made almost no friends in Elder Tale. He kept himself secluded, relying on himself. He gave up on 90... until the 12th patch. When he received an e-mail with the title, "NOVASPHERE PIONEERS", he knew it was a sign from the sky to keep playing. He downloaded the patch after waiting every hour, every minute and every second for it. But he was fooled. He was caught in the Unfounded Kingdom Server's Apocalypse, and the first words he saw when he woke up were: FATAL ERROR: LEVELS RESET. |

Multiple enemies can be struck by this attack by they are adjacent to the target. This skill increases targets' aggro on the user more than that of a regular attack. If this skill is used by Monks, the user will deliver an aura-enhanced swinging punch that delivers the same effects. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Fickle Roulette: A swashbuckler skill that is initiated by the swashbuckler holding their weapons to the shoulders while spinning. This builds up centripetal force at which the swashbuckler lets go of their weapons, causing them to fly out to the distance and revolve in a circle around the swashbuckler's position for a few seconds before falling to the ground. Because using this technique with the swashbuckler's primary weapons results in temporary disarmament, many users prefer to use disposable throwing weapons instead. This skill has an animation time of 3 seconds and a cooldown time of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Mirage Dealer: Dual wield skill. The Swashbuckler performs a forward X-slash with their two weapons to slash at an opponent, then immediately teleports a meter forward. This usually places them behind the enemy, allowing them to either bypass their line or enable them to continue attacking before the enemy realizes what just happened. Because of the flashiness of this skill, it's a popular technique among aspiring warriors. Try not to use it while the opponent's at the edge of a cliff or right against a wall, though. You'll either plummet to your death or crash face-first into a wall. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 8 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Discard: A technique designed to reduce aggro for the swashbuckler. As soon as the opponent draws near, the swashbuckler performs a somersault over the target's head, then uses the blunt end of the blade to spin the opponent sideways. This sudden disorientation disrupts a monster's thought process, often resulting in its battle AI resetting. This skill has an animation time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Wind Bullet: Toggle skill. A skill that is usually performed with a free hand, making it a useful technique for Monks and characters who wield only a single one-handed weapon. It can also be used with an actual firearm, causing wind bullets to be fired whenever the gun is not loaded with any form of ammunition. Its bare handed version is performed by extending the thumb and index finger while curling the other three fingers, as though a gun gesture is being made. Thanks to the toggle function of this skill acting as a safety, it can be turned off for those times where you don't want to accidentally shoot people because of your careless gestures. By pressing down the thumb or trigger, a concentrated shot of air is expelled forward from the index finger or barrel, causing a minor recoil from the shot. Wind bullets shot from this attack are fairly weak and are used more often to subdue or stall an opponent. This skill has a range of 10 meters, an animation time of 0.5 seconds, and a cooldown time of 1 second. [attr="class","skill"]Crash Shot: A bow or firearms skill where the user aims slightly upward and then releases the string or fires the trigger. As the projectile descends downward, it explodes into multiple small fragments which somehow retain all the force of the original shot, making this burst of tiny shrapnel deceptively powerful. It will damage all possible targets within a 5 meter radius, so be sure your allies are out of the way before you strike. This skill has an animation time of 2.5 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Heat Sink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Battle Perception: Toggle skill. Battle perception allows the Pathfinder to notice nearby monsters more easily by displaying their names and levels above their heads. It allows the Pathfinder to detect monsters about 3 meters further than a normal character, and is most useful for preventing ambushes. [attr="class","skill"]Dart-Tack Target: The swashbuckler pricks the target with their weapon four times in quick succession, each strike dealing light damage but moderate aggro. This allows the swashbuckler to temporarily gain the attention of the enemy and serve as an off-tank. While the tanking role is often left to the warrior classes, this skill might serve as a brief respite to the team in order to maintain momentum. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Ashen Chain Level 6 Chain Armor: Ashtver's Beginner gear really was starting to get old. He crafted some better equipment as temporary upgrades. The Chain armour really doesn't look anything snazzy, but it gets the job done. Its chain links are tightly bound together, and there is a second layer of chain over the heart. The shoulder guards almost resemble the beak of a bird of prey. The legs, on the other hand have knee guards that look like diamonds with curled edges, as they proved highly uncomfortable without them. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Ash-riddled Spear Lvl 3 Ashtver's Beginner gear really was starting to get old. He crafted some better equipment as temporary upgrades. The Spear has a head shaped like two parallel waves. When held in the sun, the sharp edge seems red. The shaft is around a meter long. This is required if he is to dual wield his spears. In the center of the shaft, there's a dip in the metal, used as a handle. The bottom of the shaft is thinned, and has a circular guard forged onto it. The pommel is shaped like a pointy diamond, to theoretically maximize the damage of the Swashbuckler ability Discard. During forging, the metal cracked a few times as it was smacked. This allowed the ashes of the forge to enter the the weapon and meld with the metal. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Spear [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#2: [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#3: [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#4: [attr="class","h3"]Inventory [attr="class","b2"] Aria Blade Lvl 1: Ashtver promised to craft a young Fox Tail Person of the Land, Aria, a new dagger if he were to stay with them on their adventures. He was going to give it to her in person, however, not through gifting. The blade is perfectly balanced, allowing for throwing if need be, with a diamond shape near the handle. The crossguard is rather plain, being a straight guard with an arch at the bottom. The handle is thin and round with a pattern consisting of hexagons etched into it. The pommel is a cube, flipped on its corner to resemble a diamond, with rings etched into the top. Starter Platemail
