What to craft.. what to do Thought Nostrocatus to himself as he opened his crafting window. I am so lucky the old crafting options are still available for browse. Else would not have known what I could craft or what I needed for them. For several minutes Nostro tried to make sense of his clas skill by looking at the recipe list. It took him quite some time to figure out how this crafting class worked. It seems they left the regular meaning of alchemist behind them. And instead of potions and such, u can craft magical powered trinkets gadgets and gear. Going in to different fields of magic crafting. “I do not really get it...yet. But it makes me curios to the possibilities.” He mumbled to himself in his lab.
Being level one does not give many interesting options, does it? It seems u have to grind many components. Then u can combine those, and craft a useful item. Whit’s on its own can be combines whit things. A moment he sighted and wondered if it was all worth it. “The only way I know if I can do this. Is by doing this. So let get this started.”
Whit a sigh startd the preperations.
“Where did I left those Filament .” Nostro asked himself as he went looking around his laboratory. “Not there, or here, or there, not here either.” Annoyed by is lacking organisation skills Nostro stopped searching. “They must he here somewhere. “Let c I came back whit them, eat a chicken stew, took a bath, stopped my table from wobbling.” Whit a smile he went back to his desk. “Of course I used them to stabilize my desk...I do not know why I did that do. It does not even work.” He shook his head while he took the Filament .
He arranged the parts of his laboratory he needed. And made sure it all worked. “Right.. first I need to clean these. If there is dirt or other filth on them it could tamper whit the process.” So first he filled a sink by opening one of the cranes, the liquid would clean the fillers from impurities. “Now they just need to lay there for a while. Until now this is not that difficult." And in the mean time I should calibrate the mana collider. He thought to himself. The trick to this. Is to prefend it form overloading. While not making the magical energy going to slow. That would meld the fillings.
“It is rather tricky considering what could go wrong when u use this for the higher level alchemy .” he grind thinking about the calamities he could cause to the world. “No I better get this right. I do not want to go destroy things that do not need to be destroyed. ” Was hisc onclusion after some consideration. "But if some things or people volunteer for it. I will not complain.”
After he completed the calculations he returned to the Filament . At first he just wanted to take the cleaned Filament out. But a second before his hand touched the liquid he changed his mind. I am one stupid cat. I should know better than putting my hand in a liquid that purifies mettle. He slabs himself against his head. "Stupid, stupid stupid!" He yelled out hoping that oddy and Bailin wheren ot around to here him and make smart remarks. "Lets get some pliers and take those Filaments out.
Well those two do look nice and clean. Yes, I would say that this looks quite good. "
Whit a smile he put the filaments in the mana conductor. First he made sure the Fliament was totally secured. Then he started to stretch the filaments and feed it mana. This should take a couple of minutes. Then when the filaments have a bright bleu colour I must heat them up so they become one reinforced wire. Controlling the flow of magical energy true the device Nostrocatus slowly increased the amount and speed until the filament finally shed the right colour. Finaly the collour is turning bleu. that took long enuoth.. but it is stil to dark. Maybe turning it helps.... yes its lighter now but it is turning black.. more power..there it is! He thought triumphantly while he turned on the burner to a nice bleu flame. And stopt the mana flow.
When the wire cooled down. Nostrocatus examend the reinforced wire to be sure the alchemy process was a success. "Everything seems alright. So this must be it. A reinforced wire. Nice.
