The day was one of beauty at the moment. The sky clear of clouds, the crisp air warmed by the sun, there was even a gentle breeze to keep the people that were inhabiting this place cool from the open rays. It was the perfect day to be outside. "Nala, we're suppose to go exploring the swamp again today!" Well, it was almost perfect.
"You promised me that the next time we had a good day of whether you would come with me to practice my cooking skill!" A small Fox Tail was setting up what looked like a picnic near the abandoned station most people used as an open market. Her light colored hair kept her head nice and cool from the sun's rays but it was still a little bright for her blue eyes. On most occasions, she would be in their little old house they tried to keep from falling apart- or at least that she tried to. With them there as well something always ended up a mess or falling to pieces every week. Still, she wouldn't have it any other way. Having her brothers around to keep her company in what seemed to be quite a large world made her happy. If she had ended up all alone here... she would be one sad sack of fur and probably have no idea on what to do first since she wouldn't know anyone else. She had a character on another server with a few good friends on her list, but this was a totally new place for her, she didn't have any of her previous contacts available.
Anyway, today she had dragged the boys out of the house and away from their adventuring plans in order to come with her. They had only been in the game for a few days and she was still trying to figure out how to properly use her cooking skill. On their first day in the game, she had prepared them a delicious looking meal from the menu, but it all tasted like soggy crackers. All of it except for the apples she had laid out for them, they tasted just fine. It baffled them on why one thing should be bland while the other had taste, but they went with it, only eating ingredients for awhile. Obviously this got old since they were often left with eating the same things over and over again. That was when one time, Nala got stuck in her old routine of making bread and butter to start off her day... and it actually tasted like bread and butter. Nothing was thought about it at first until her brothers noticed her chowing down on the combination and asked why she was eating cracker food. Snippets of food being prepared by hand were starting to pop up, but apparently only Chefs were able to make the combination work if they had the right level.
For herself, Nala was still on a low level of cooking, so most of the things she tried cooking that she had picked up from her schooling and just reading recipes ended up in unnatural blobs of moving mass that darkened the souls of all who gazed upon it... yea, it was that bad.
