Widow curled up beside the subway train of the of the old subway station. She was cloaked in a beige garb with a hood over it. Her garbs were tattered and worn lacking she once extravagant luster they once held before. She sniffed roughly as the heard the casual footsteps from above her head trot on the tile of the floor. She rested the ball of her foot against the tracks, glancing at the broken shards of glass in the window. Her eyes were weak and weary as she had been sleeping rather poorly. She heaved her chest out, arching her back. She sensed a sharp pain that was gnawing at the upper columns of her spine.
So many years spent hunched over toiling away at that mine...
How did I ever manage to let it get like this...?
The Elf sighs as her mystical emerald green eyes shoot up towards the heavens.
Have I truly angered the gods so much to deserve this...?
She looks into the emptiness of the white clouds that loom overhead. She finds no solace in the silence from the heavens.
Folding her hands over one another and interlocking her fingers, she sits indian style, resting her elbows in the inside of her thigh. Patiently calculating her next steps to take in the city.
She was a wanted woman, suspected of the crime of murder, and she found little of a safe haven within the walls of Londiminium. However, the surrounding territory of the St. Pancreas Station provided a nice cover among the homeless bums that resided within there. It was an area laced with crime, drug dealers, and shifty rackets galore.
There were a few places however, that were worth an honorable mention. The place had various spots to work on several crafts and she was an avid alchemist. She decided it was time to be productive so she went out towards the alchemist shop to buy some simple materials for her work. A few diodes, lamps, and filaments. All rather low quality materials, but she had to start her training over again after being out of practice for seven tiresome years.
As she handed a purse full of drakes to the shopkeeper, she felt heavy footsteps and the clattering of metal. She was used to the sound and could recognize it easily. She clenched her hood over her head tightly and walked in the other direction.
As her pace quickened she could hear the footsteps get louder. She began to whisper in the ancient language of her people.
“Lle lakwenien?” (“Are you joking?”) She mutters as she begins to cast a spell in her Elvish tongue. “Uuma ma' ten' rashwe, ta tuluva a' lle...” (Don’t look for trouble...it will come to you.)
She shifts into the form of a human woman as her ears become more round and her hair turns a fiery red and her eyes crystallize into deep pools of blue. She mutters a quick phrase and materializes a [Mana shard] before slipping it into her pocket.
"Sana termara en' templa..." (Mana Vampire).
A firm hand grips her shoulder and turns her around.
A burly guard glances at her once and offers an apology.
“Ah..I’m sorry ma’am...we just got reports of a criminal suspect sighted in this area...your clothes fit the description. Have a good day miss. Sorry for the trouble.”
Widow nods and offers a few words. “Namaarie” (Farewell...)
She tugs her hood off her head and begins to head head towards the housing districts. Her spell lasted for quite a while but she wanted a way to make it last even longer. She saw another patrol of guards and decided it was best to make herself scarce for the moment, she began to walk up the stairs and noticed she was safely on the second floor.
Which the presence of the guards away, she decided to deactivate her [Form Shift] and revert back to her original form.
She walked across the upper levels when a building caught her attention. Their was several signs advertising free items which of course seemed too good to be true to Widow.
She eventually gave into her curious nature and decided to inspect the place for herself. Squinting at the item labeled ‘Mana Liner Shield’she watched as it hissed and vibrated with the rich radiance of a warm glow. She stroked her chin a few times and decided to get a closer look.
She stopped before the gap in the hole and muttered a few english words under her breath.
“Now, that’s just going to get someone killed...why don’t they fix shit like this?” She sighed as she took a few steps back, then leaped over the gap. With her hands casually tucked in her pockets, she walked over towards the shop keeper and spoke in her mystical language the greeting of her people.
“Mae Govannen, friend.”(“Well met, friend”) She smiled warmly. “I see that you’re an avid student of Alchemy. Perhaps, you were hiring, I was looking for some work temporarily and could use the extra money. Or if you have any items that help with the regeneration of mana, I suppose I could work for that. Two alchemists working together should yield more mana fragments.”

Another day in her shop, Tessia moved about her various wares with a smile. She really did enjoy helping everyone that had shown up for her deal, even if there weren't that many. Some got a trinket, others wanted the Mana Liner Shield or similar offensive defensive booster. Just like her family had taught her, she made the first item upon one's visit free. Since most players started with very little too their names, Tessia thought it was a wonderful way to get acquainted with others. And help everyone survive this mess of a world.
Already she had a few visitors moving about the shop, as she sat at a creation table and poured over her notes and graphs for her next invention. Hearing the bridge creak as another player landed on the entrance of her store she looked up to great them. It was a beautiful if a little disheveled looking elf. She really liked elves, especially female ones. What was more surprising was when she approached her table and revealed she was a alchemist looking for some work. "Well, I could use another hand about the shop if you can spare it miss?" Tessia held out her hand and stood politely as she folded over her plans for the Mana Refractory. She would keep her notes put up, but it was easier to have them out and near her Steam Oven.
"If you would, I would like a better idea of how much energy you'd like the object to generate. Mana Regeneration is a bit of a difficult thing to pin down you see. Also, would it be a necklace, ring, pendant? But, for now lets see too the other customers, then I will help you, okay? It will give me a idea of how good you are with these things." She smiled, thoroughly enjoying herself as she moved to a group of adventurers and began to show them her Mana Liner Shield.

Widow nodded slowly with a blank expression as she examined the rest of the pastel colors. They were bright and vibrant colors that spun an attractive web around some of the demolished exterior. She wasn’t keen on such bright colors as she believed it drew too much attention. She preferred working on Alchemy in private and secluded locations away from the general public. She often made wares for herself or just items to research as artifacts would be scattered about her room. She spent most of her life isolated from society. It was only in prison that she even bothered to converse with others. She spent a lot of her time in those walls contemplating about inventions she would make if she ever escaped those brutal mines.
It seemed that opportunity was knocking on her door as she heard the blonde haired woman speak. She would be able to accommodate Widow’s desire to work to earn some coin. The elf tugged on her sleeves and stared at the floor with her hands in her pockets. She squinted at the ground as her long pointy ears listened in on the rest of the womans words, then glanced up noticing the woman hold her hand out, which made Widow stare quizzically as she was unfamiliar with the gesture. Her emerald eyes glowed brightly as she whispered.
“Sana termara en' templa”(Mana Vampire) her eyes grow brighter as they radiate an eerie, yet enchanting glow that is magnetic to the eyes. Her elven whisper produces a pulse of light from her palm that crystallizes into a light emerald mana shard. Small lime green energy bolts pulse from withi and stick to the inner surface wherever Widow places her fingers. The crystal is unstable and she places it in the woman’s hand. She withdraws the second crystal which she had made earlier in the substation and places it gently in the woman’s hand and utters soft words. “Sana sina” (Take this...)
She glances out around the exterior of the building before her eyes fall upon the Ritualist.
“It should offer a bit of a headstart. I was thinking that possibly a ring would suffice for the moment. Perhaps we could make an amulet as well if given the time. I was thinking that maybe it could recharge a slight amount of mana every six seconds possibly.” She mutters as she shifts her feet under the cobblestone and walks over to the mana liner shield beside Tessia.
“'Quel undome...”(Good evening.) She whispers to a sister elf that approaches the stand.
“Saesa omentien lle.” (Pleasure meeting you) The high elf with light brown hair responds. Her robes are green with a ebony scarf that drifts just over her chest. She turns to look at Tessia with her hazel eyes.
“Yes, I was interested in this item you have here. This Mana Liner Shield..I heard about it from my friend in Westminister Abbey, he said it was pretty useful and gave it some good reviews. I’d like to get one of them myself if you don’t mind. I always liked the items you made for me and enjoyed that Mana flashlight, it was pretty useful! That was my first free item..so I’ll be paying for this one...”
Widow blinked at the item with curiosity. She was sure that the item used mana shards to power it, though she couldn’t quite figure out what other components were used in it. It stroke her curiosity as she glanced up at Tessia.
“Lle anta amin tu?” (Do you need help?) She whispered as her elvish words were followed by a telepathic echo of english.

Taking the gem and listening too the elven woman's banter, Tessia said too Widow. "You go ahead and assist this customer with her purchases Widow. I will get too work on the object you needed to be made. Please excuse me." Moving to a table next too the Steam oven, Tessia slips out the soft green gems and watches them for a few moments. Unlike mana Fragments, these were already powered and solidified into a accessory form. Albeit a weaker form than she could produce, it was a good first start by the beautiful Widow. She would make another and this one would produce the mana she would need.
Slipping some Mana Fragments close with her gloves on, she began to focus as her other hand clutched a small Mana Filament. The marks on her body already glowing a hot pink, she collide the Mana Filament with the two shards. Focusing on the raw energy of the shards, Tessia sent a few jolts of her own high energy into the device. Feeling the semi liquid state of the gems attach too the Filament, she picked up a small wire cutter and stripped the wire bare. It was necessary to have a exposed wire so that the energy provided was enough to be directly induced into ones own mana pool. Eyeing the other green gems design, Tessia slipped her fingers along the cooling surface of the newly made necklace, pushing here and shaping there to mimic the one Widow had.
Once that was done, she placed the item aside and watched Widow finish her conversation with the other customer. Glad that she had met someone as nice as her, and that she could make the fleeing woman feel comfortable. It was obvious that she needed the mana accessory to power a ability that she wanted on all the time. And being elven, Tessia could only draw a few conclusions based on her in game appearance and how she acted. She was running, but from what she didn't know. Best not too press the issue and let the woman rest and stick around in her home as long as she liked. IT wouldn't hurt to have her out and about and Tessia could use someone like her to assist in making things. Especially some of the upcoming items Tessia hoped to see created while she still held the power of a Alchemist.
