Rook was surprised to learn Darko wasn’t a skateboarder. Given his proficiency on the board she had just assumed that he was teaching Eniko.
“Falling hurts, but pain can be a good educator. Don’t be afraid of falling, what’s important is standing back up.” Rook tried to encourage Eniko, and smiled although her eyes were softened by concern.
“The ground is frequently quite uneven… perhaps try to keep that in mind?” Really, she had no idea how skateboarding worked in the real world.
On the one hand, people here were able to do incredible things… with the right stats a person could achieve superhuman feats with their bare hands.
Given that people had discovered they could replicate the tools of earth the possibilities were immense.
Rook raised a finger to punctuate a sudden idea.
“Aha, our bodies know the movements for some things on their own… I was rode a horse the other day and I couldn’t work out how to get on the saddle until I stopped thinking about how to do so.” Rook moved on quickly from that point. “It’s like when you try thinking about something too much and suddenly it becomes difficult to do. Or when you look at a single word for too long and suddenly it becomes nonsense.”
Rook didn’t actually know if there was an animation like skateboarding before the catastrophe, she just wanted to encourage Eniko.
“Try thinking less about it and just go with it, maybe your body will surprise you.”

Taking a deep breath, he focusing his energy on healing the damage the shorter adventurer suffered for a moment before even realizing that Darko had taken to standing on the skateboard. Zyrune watched the exchange with his brows furrowed in confusion, odd that the younger man was so afraid to the skateboard now. He stood firmly rooted to where he had been standing, awkwardly in the middle of the street as he healed the man's wounds moments ago.
The druid mumbled in agreement to the sorcerer's words. Maybe there needed to be a new sub class invented for the skateboard or perhaps certain sub classes already allowed the use of it such as the caviler one or the acrobat one. “I did though” Zyrune answered in reply biting his lip and scratching the back of his neck. ”the first attempt wasn't much better.” He gave a reassuring look to the assassin that he meant well, but that it was the truth.
Turning to Rook as the woman spoke, he couldn't help but nod at her advice. "The same with most skills," The half -alv found himself adding. "Thinking about them and doing them are two separate things. Maybe you need to clear your mind and just let the actions happen rather than focusing too much." He pursed his lips slightly as he realized that he just paraphrased the enchanter's words and hadn't exactly added to the conversation.
"I would cast two movement restriction spells on you, that way you'd be able to ride the thing and the vines would prevent you from going to fast or leaving a certain area." He paused and pursed his lips into a frown. "But unfortunately those spells counts as combat ones and so far I haven't gotten into trouble with the royal guard and I don't intend to start today." the druid let out a laugh.
"Hmmm." The druid groaned watching the skateboard for a second. "What if you just focus on trying to move and then when you have the basics of moving and stopping, we can throw in a trick or two?" AS he spoke the druid realized that the more time he helped this man, the less time he had to craft, however it was nice to get a break from things and it definitely seemed like Eniko wouldn't really be learning unless anything unless he had help of some kind.

Thankfully, Darko just kicked the tail of the skateboard and threw it into his hand without being slipped by accident before he offered it back to Eniko, which he accepted. But when he heard his criticism about his skills in a skateboard, he groaned to a fact that it was true. He didn't touched a skateboard in his life and he didn't knew it would be hard without crashed into someone several times. He wanted to, but the change of events after his parents passed away was easier said than done. But if he could asked his parents for a skateboard when they're still alive, they might said "no". He didn't blame them since they are worried about his safety. But back to his poor skateboarding skills, Rook gave him some advice. One was to not be afraid of pain and continue to recover after a fall, which he was no stranger considered his parents' advice and his near-death experience in the golem incident. The second one was about some of the ground might be uneven, which he didn't ignore since the pavement was not always perfect. The last one was a surprise for the young Assassin, which was to not thinking a lot and just go for it as she thought that his body might move on it's own. He didn't knew about this, yet skateboarding in a fantasy world of Elder Tale might not exist yet. As he thought about the last advice Rook gave him, Zyrune just finished healing him and told him he might cast some movement restriction spell to prevent him to make more accidents, but due to the Royal Guard system he just heard from other Adventurers, it might not be a good idea, which Eniko silently agreed since he told him they are combat moves as he tried out his stealth skills and managed to execute them without any trouble from the Royal Guards. So for his advice to him, he suggested that he should focused on moving and stop before he get to the tricks. It did focused on those, yet his excitement almost derailed his goal for a minute, which caused the accident again. "Okay, I think I understand. But in case this doesn't works, I might skate my way to the Cathedral if I keep making accidents." With that said, he made a deep breath to calm himself and jumped onto his skateboard. Then with a strong kick from the pavement, his skateboard moved slowly as he tried not to lose his balance. And with another kick, it's wheels rolled faster as he became serious not to fall. "Come on, Eniko. Don't fall, don't fall!" With another strong kick, his skateboard moved very fast than before and to his dismay, he was about to crash onto a wall. But when he braced himself, he suddenly turned sideways, which caused him to screeched to a halt. When he noticed this, Eniko was shocked to realized that he managed to stop his skateboard. He was so shocked that he was speechless. WORDS: 501 TAG: Zyrune, Darko Lipowitz, RookGOALS: To learn how to skate without accidents and chat some other Adventurers and Landers

Although Darko had remembered something on skateboarding with the help of that accidental hit of the skateboard, he did not let himself being carried away by the triumph of landing on the skateboard on his feet. Although he knew now how to skate, he did not want to steal the spotlight from Eniko. First off, it was Eniko's skateboard, not his, and so he should not borrow it without permission. Although he wanted to demonstrate something to Eniko on account of not being that close, he digressed. But such demonstrations might sharpen the insight of a student in what to do. As he remembered one time, when he was taught how to do skateboarding, in the basic training, he was left to discover everything all by himself after one demonstration by his tutor. He needed to take note of every maneuver of the feet on the skateboard so that it would be ingrained to his mind, and then practiced and practiced until he could get some gist on it. And then, by successive rewriting of the gist, he then grasped the needed style for him to execute every basic move that he could know.
It was unfortunate that there are not many skateboarders here, but since it was the case, and the one who had the experience had no skateboard, Darko was forced to watch Eniko in his thought that he would fail again and again. Zyrune offered a bit of a help in stabilizing Eniko's movement with movement-restricting spells, but became concerned with the eventual effect of using offensive spell in such a very bustling marketplace. Of course there were Royal Guards who would barge in and arrest anyone who dared to use such skills on others. Maybe in the game it was a system to discourage player versus player duels in the city area, but applying that here should not be more realistic than policemen moving towards the scene of the crime before the crime could even be committed. But since it was a play on the game becoming real-life, it should not be surprising that the game logic was also appplied here, and the Royal Guards, now humanized landers, seemed as if they were seeing a vision of every crime that was happening. And that certainly did not help any adventurer on this world who might think that they were still contending with a game.
Zyrune did not attempt to cast the movement restriction spells, and instead advised Eniko on what to do. He told Eniko that he should master the basics of moving and stopping the skateboard before he should try the tricks. Basically that was a good advice, since the tricks needed a good amount of control, which should be only accomplished by training the basic control of the skateboard. And it seemed that Eniko heeded that bit of advice when he attempted to skate again on the alleyway, as he was going much slower than before on the skateboard. Or so he thought. Seemed to be feeling the adrenaline rush, Eniko took another forceful kick on the ground, catapulting him much faster towards... the wall near the entrance of a closed bar. Darko braced himself for another crash by Eniko and the eventual flying away of the skateboard to his forehead yet again, but this time there were no flying skateboards magically magnetized to his forehead right now. Eniko seemed to bring himself to a halt by moving the skateboard sideways to increase the friction between the ground and his skateboard, and so avoided the catastrophe. Darko clapped his hands one time, and then said, "Maybe we should also work on your excessive adrenaline rush, as it always put you in very difficult situations. But still, a fair job on stopping the skateboard before you have an intimate moment with the wall."

Rook gave a polite round of applause, any attempt that didn’t end in pain was a good thing. An attempt that ended in success was a rare wonder indeed. “Well done, I’m sure there’ll be plenty more falls in the future but there you stayed in control.” Rook said. She tried to sound encouraging, since mastery of anything is a long journey and this was practically step one. Though, that first step is especially significant because it is a beginning. While her spell of fascination with skateboarding had past, her heart still ached. Should she raise the topic, certainly not here, not now. Embarrassment wouldn’t do, Eniko had only just gained his confidence. At the same time, if she didn’t do anything she would have to live with the knowledge that she met a lost child in this world and didn’t offer to support them. No, she had to do something at least to salve the guilt. Even if in the end she couldn’t help, she had to try. “Ah, lets exchange contacts.” She offered casually, and sent invitations to everybody present. “I have to go, but I’d like to see what tricks you can think up once you’ve mastered the basics.”She gave them all a kind smile and a small wave. Then began moving to the end of the alley and disappearing into the crowd. Though the crowd was unpleasant, it felt like the light was a little warmer in the street. It could’ve been just her though. Lets Play Elder Tales. Hp: 100 Mp:100 ▼ | Standing with his arms folding over one another, the druid honestly didn't have a lot of hope for this next attempt. It didn't seem like skateboarding was something someone could do adequately, or at least not Eniko. Then again, he seemed to always start off doing okay, that was until he got some speed and seemed to forget that it was his first time on a skateboard.
With a sigh, Zyrune made sure to stand clear while remaining close in case he needed cast another healing spell in the man's direction. However it didn't seemed necessary. It started off fine and steady just like all previous attempts seemed to, but suddenly the man's speed started to increase and for a moment it looked like a guaranteed thing that he was destined to make contact with the wall, however just in time, he seemed to regain control and brought himself a halt.
The three members of the audience seemed to all let out a collective sigh of relief when Eniko came to a halt. Zyrune couldn't help himself but clapped how proud he was of Eniko. It just showed that despite everything, there were somethings that hadn't changed. However once Eniko had collected himself, Drako spoke out, he too seemed have noticed how the young assassin seemed to sped up, even offering to try help him before the next attempt to avoid a collision.
However the female enchanted seemed to have had her share for the time being. To be honest it was getting on into the day, but the druid still wanted to see this out, plus he didn't really feel like burying himself under fabric just yet. So accepting the woman's friend request and watching her leave, he sighed.
"So now that you can stop, I need to ask. What makes it speed up so fast?" His brow furrowed as he watched the skateboard. "Is it intentional or does it just happen automatically?"

He didn't knew what just happened, either he accidentally activated a skill or he just stopped his skateboard on his own. Nevertheless, he managed to avoid another collision as he snapped out of his shock and sighed in relief. At least he now knew how to stop and avoiding another accident before the woman congratulated him for his success and gave him her friend request. Eniko was surprised, nobody would give him their requests with an exception of his first day where he gave one to a certain Assassin, but nonetheless, he accepted her request as she told them that she needed to go. "Okay, thanks for the advice, Rook. I'll see you soon."Then after he saw her disappeared into the crowd, Darko then mentioned one thing he saw: Why that he often sped up whenever he used his skateboard? That was one question Eniko realized. He wanted to learn how, so he wanted to slow down his skateboard. But for some reason, he forgot about it as his skateboard instead sped up. Then it hit him, maybe it has something to do before he took off. "Maybe whenever I kicked the ground to make it move. That's what I learned when I saw some of my classmates playing with them, I think." It wasn't a concrete reason, but it definitely where he tried to move his skateboard as well as his sudden adrenaline rush. "Not only that, since this was the first time I ride this, I somehow got excited whenever my skateboard moved. That's my only reasons, but any other reasons why?"WORDS: 265 TAG: Zyrune, Darko Lipowitz, Rook (left) GOALS: To learn how to skate without accidents and chat some other Adventurers and Landers
