Masami sat at her newly opened empty stall and let a shaky sigh escape her lungs. Bringing her knees up to her chest she slowly rocked back and forth as she tried to fend off the feelings of boredom, if only a customer could come by and request something of her. Although once she thought about it, it wasn’t that surprising no one was stopping what with the girl sitting behind an empty stall one wouldn’t think she actually was a crafter of any kind. ‘Maybe I should make something on my own and start making a showcase for people to see.' Masami thought to herself as she gathered up some pieces of fabric scraps and thread. “Can’t start making armor or clothes until I have people’s measurements, but just maybe…." Quietly murmuring to herself as she passed the material though her hands. Maybe if this little project of hers went well enough Masami could use her own measurements to make some "template gear" to showcase to people, as well as possibly selling others the plushie she'll make now.
‘If this goes well enough I’ll try making him for myself out of a more solid fabric choice' With a nod of approval Masami took the thread and carefully tried threading it on the sewing needle. A more difficult task than one might think as it took the young tailor a few attempts to finally run it through the small hole. Picking the fabric back up Masami poked the needle through for the first time before grabbing another piece and stabbing through along the edge to link them together. Repeating the process as she went along a simple stitch began to form in the girl’s hand but no form to the end product yet.

Reaching for more fabric as she needed it Masami would occasionally pause to rethread her needle with more thread. Even this process began to become easier the more she performed the same task and hopefully the hard work would pay off when this cute little bear plushie was finished. After several patches were applied the young tailor held her work and tilted it around in her grip as she examined it over on where to put the next piece. At this point the body was mostly finished so she set it aside and began making the reverse side as well the best she could with spare fabric laying around. Putting the last stitch together she folded her two body pieces to form a small space in the middle and began stitching the two together, making sure to leave part of it open to apply later stuffing.
Nodding when it was finished Masami was able to use the smaller pieces and begin to make the limbs of her new stuffed bear. This part of the process went by a lot quicker due to the smaller size, but it had been a lot more tedious have to make two sheets for four limbs and then putting them together so they latter be filled with stuffing to make soft and pleasant. Setting down the now mostly finished bear Masami took a deep breath as she readied herself for the next part, the head. The head was probably going to be the hardest since it required tiny ears be made as well as trying to figure out how to make the face for it.
Deciding to start with just using the same methods she had been using Masami began to form the heads basic shape and features before she could deal with the details. Once the stitch work was finished the tailor decided to add color by taking some colored dyes and adding a couple large pink circles on the side of the “face" to better simulate a blush. Nodding once it was done she sewed a couple buttons on for the eyes before placing it on the body, once again leaving space to be filled.

With most of her task done Masami set her supplies down and began rummaging around the stash of tailoring supplies to find something she could use. After a few minutes the girl pulled back with a small pile of cheap wool that looked like it wouldn’t be missed much, plus it was going to good use for her project. Sitting herself back down behind her stall she picked up what currently looked like a deflated plushie, like an animal had torn into it and all the stuffing got pulled out. To be honest with herself it looked rather sad and it was doubtful anyone would actually want to buy this.
With a sigh the tailor picked up a tiny ball of wool and began stuffing it through the small holes she left at various parts of the doll. Putting more wool in before she could squeeze every part of the limb she was working on and have it feel soft and feel the fabric on the other side. After it was done Masami just needed to add a few extra stitches to close the hole she left before moving on and repeating her system with the other parts as well. Closing the final stitch on her remaining parts of the bear’s body Masami looked over her new plushie again, tilting it over in her hands to see if any more touches could be added to make it better.
With a small gasp she silently exclaimed her surprise as she picked up an inkpen in her other hand. She had the blush and eyes but she hadn’t added a mouth yet. Drawing a small “W" between the blush circles and added a few accent marks along the body as well to add better details to the overall look of her new creation. As a finishing touch Masami stitched another, yet smaller button above the middle line of the “W" mouth to look like a nose. With a smile Masami gave her new bear a small hug before setting it down on her stall. It was the first cute thing she had made and hopefully for her next one there would be improvements she could make to it.
