We'll chase the dawn that waits for us beyond the darkest sky
Coming out of her killer instinct, Chain took a few seconds to adjust to where she was and what she was doing. Seeing the scythe in her hands, she started to shake slightly, worried she might have done something she shouldn't have again. Turning around with shock on her face, she looked at her party member, the swashbuckler who had just narrowly avoided being cut by her blade. Seeing Valerie approach, Chain quickly put her weapon away in her quickslot. Closing her eyes and tensing up, she was unsure what was going to happen. Would she be hated? Attacked? She didn't know. But she didn't expect the response she had actually gotten. Hearing that it was fun and following laughter, Chain opened her eyes and stared blankly at the swashbuckler.
Sliding down until she was sitting between her legs, Chain let the tension drain from her body. She had no words for the situation, but she was relieved to say the least. Someone who wasn't showing anger or aggression towards her after the way she had fought. Exhaling deeply, Chain drooped her head for several seconds before raising her head again with a big smile on her face, nodding a few times in agreement that it was fun. Or at least she was happy, despite not really remembering how she had fought. As the rewards screen popped up, she skimmed the information before closing it. She had fought enough to consider her morning training finished. And the time of day was good enough for some morning tea. A sandwich and a drink probably would be best.
Standing up, the bard made a gesture of eating a sandwich and drinking something from a cup, then pointing back towards Londinium, hoping the swashbuckler understood what she meant. After waiting for a response, Chain started walking back. Since they were in slime territory, the non-aggressive monsters just ignored the girl clad in a white dress. She didn't particularly have anything she felt like communicating to the other player, and so spent her walk in silence. At least this time around, she was walking with a smile on her face and not some grim expression she usually would have when she was alone.
Reaching the entrance to Londinium, Chain knew exactly where she wanted to go, which was the inn she slept at. The family restaurant type of bar they had was good for all meals at any time of the day. For a sandwich, she would enjoy probably a salted pork sandwich with lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, cheese and carrot. The drink to accompany it would probably be some milk tea, and maybe some fries on the side. Since players had introduced new recipes, the food had become quite more palatable and large in variety. Reaching the inn, Chain ordered what she wanted and sat down at a table. Luckily, all she had to do was point at the things she wanted, though the waitress knew what the frequent customer liked to have. Looking around, Chain watched Valerie order (assuming she followed).

When her light laughter and short comment brought no response from the Bard, Valerie look back and saw Chain staring blankly at her. The Swashbuckler didn’t know how to respond and her face slipped into a similar blank expression, slightly confused. She watched the Bard slide down and sat between her legs as her body seemed to relax from the fight, but when she dropped her head down and exhaled deeply, Valerie inhaled sharply, unsure of what was happening to her twisted mirror image. The Dancer exhaled the breath she was holding when the Bard raised her head with a big bright smile on her face while nodding. Valerie smiled as well, relieved that her new friend was alright. Simultaneously, two screens popped up in front of both Chain and Valerie, indicating what they had received for the fight. The girl glanced briefly at the gold that she had received and nodded to herself in approval. It was a nice hunt and she had received a bit more that she usually got.
Then Chain stood straight up, startling the Swashbuckler for a moment but Valerie watched the white haired girl carefully as she acted out eating something before pointing back into the direction of the nearest city, Londinium. The Dancer nodded and smiled brightly, she hadn’t had much to eat beside a small apple which did nothing to supply the Adventurer with enough energy for the fight she just had. When the Bard saw Valerie’s answer, she started walking in the direction of Londinium and Valerie followed her look alike quietly, but she didn’t mind the peaceful silence.
As they reached the entrances of the city, Chain seemed to be walking with a specific place in mind. Valerie didn’t mind whatever they ate, but as long as there was some sort of meat, she would be alright. As they approached an Inn, the Bard ordered a sandwich with some other ingredients by pointing at whatever she wanted. When Chain was done ordering, Valerie did the same but saying whatever she knew. “I would like a ham sandwich with extra meat, lettuce and mayonnaise.” She said as she pointed out what she wanted, before pausing for a moment to think about what she wanted to drink. “I’d also like a black coffee please.” Valerie added quickly after thinking of a drink she wanted. Though the girl didn’t need coffee in Elder Tale, she often missed the familiar taste of bitter coffee which she often started her day with.
With her meat and caffeine needs ordered, Valerie looked around the restaurant before turning back to Chain. “Where do you want to sit?” She asked, unfamiliar with the restaurant.

Pointing to her usual seat near the back against the wall with two seats, Chain walked over to it and sat down, waiting for her friend to do the same. After that, all that there was to do was wait for the orders to come out. With nothing to do until then, she looked like a little child as she swayed side to side with a half smile on her face. Waiting patiently, she saw the waitress approaching, the same one as always, and waved at her. Seeing the orders placed in front of her, she took a sip of her tea, and suddenly her demeanor had changed from a child to a more refined, lady-like one. Picking up her sandwich, she took a single bite from the corner and put the sandwich back down, taking her time chewing her food. Being virtual, she didn't really have to, but it was more of an autonomous thing she was conditioned to do. After finishing the first mouthful, she took her second bite and began leisurely chewing that as well. Back in the real world, she would be talking in between bites, and listening while chewing. But now that she couldn't speak, that was a moot point. Sure, she could speak, but it was be random nonsense that wouldn't be understood unless someone had a great understanding of international languages. That being said, it was still hard to fathom how this mess had come to be since there were many types of memory, and episodic memory was different to that which stores languages. Perhaps it was the fact her languages were so deeply rooted in her history? Still, eventually someone would have to teach her how to talk. Or help her recover her memory. How long would it be before she was herself again? Taking another bite, Chain ate a bit faster now, taking a sip with food in her mouth to help wash it down. She had eaten a third of her sandwich by now. The salted pork tasted great as usual, and the addition of the salads and dressings were a nice touch. A good balance. Taking a short break, she took a long sip of her milk tea before showing another smile to her friend. "Food, oishii ka?" Asking if the food was nice, Chain tilted her head to the side. Following that, she took another bite and began making her way through her food. She still had stuff to do after lunch. Exploring which doubled as training, earning her living expenses and then winding down before going to sleep. It was just a matter of whether she would be doing it alone or not. In the end, she was fine with either way. Word Count: 455 Notes: ValerieSorry for the shortness and delay >.< Been having trouble thinking of what to type. Might end the thread soon. Getting hard to think of responses >_>

The white haired girl pointed to a table with two chairs that was settled near the back, along the wall. She walked over and sat down on one over the chairs. Valerie quietly followed the other and sat down on the other chair, looking around the restaurant, observing the room, while the other girl swayed back and forth as she waited for the food to arrive. She watched a waitress pick up the food for their table, Chain and Valerie’s food, and approached them, waved at the white haired Bard in greeting. The woman placed the orders down and left the two females to enjoy their lunch. The Bard picked up her drink and sipped it elegantly, taking on a graceful and lady like aura, one that was another drastic change from the seemingly unstable girl how had hacked away at a field of green slimes, narrowly missing Valerie. The brown haired girl didn’t mind though, she, herself, was capable of such drastic changes in auras and personalities. Someone she had met during her earlier days, had told her that it was quite scary to see the drastic change from a bloodthirsty monster to a happy and bubble young female in the matter of seconds. Emotion changing and projecting was something she learned from dance. When she was required to do an emotional piece she would have to quickly draw out the aura and emotions in order to present them to the audience in a way that would move their hearts in the way she wanted them to.
As Chain began to eat her sandwich, the Swashbuckler picked up her own sandwich and began to slowly munch on it, pondering on the taste. She was incredibly relieved when other Adventurers discovered the way to make foods with the correct taste. Valerie looked out one of the big windows of the restaurant while she switched between the sandwich and her drink, sigh happily the moment caffeine hit her taste buds. It wasn’t long until she had finished her food and when she turned to look at the other girl, and was briefly surprised when Chain was smiling at her. The Bard asked her about something the food, tilting her head to the side before continued eating, waiting for Valerie’s answer. “It is very good.” The Swashbuckler said in between bites, pointing at her food. “Do you like your food?” The girl asked, pointing to Chain’s sandwich and milk tea.
Waiting for an answer, Valerie waited quietly, opening her menu with a quick gesture and glanced at the clock. It was about just after 12, when most people are up and moving around the cities and hunting grounds. After her meeting the Bard the night before, an idea for a weapon accessory had popped into her mind as she rested on a bench in Londinium, looking at the stars. The Swashbuckler quickly finished her food and had planned to head over to St. Pancras Station to make some metal accessories for the rest of the day. When she was done her food, the dark haired girl pulled out some gold and placed it onto the table, paying for her meal. She would need to leave the area soon, or else she would not be able to have enough time to craft her accessory. Standing up, Valerie smiled at Chain and held out a hand for her to shake as she prepared to part ways with her pale look alike. “I have some work to do and I have to leave now or I won’t make it on time.” She said sadly as she sighed softly, slightly reluctant to part from her new friend. “I hope to see you around, Chain! Goodbye!” Valerie said, her expression twitched slightly as she tried to put a bright smile on her face and finally beamed at the Bard with a full smile. The girl turned around and walked out of the restaurant and headed to her next destination.
