Shard wanders around the inside of St. Pancras Station, finding a suitable place to sit down and have some time to himself. As he ventures further into the barely-maintained station, Shard passed by players and their workshops, watching them work on their craft. It made Shard think to himself as he pulls up his crafting subclass information menu. I should start working on my my scribe class. At least that way I can get myself a better grimoire.
Shard stares at the crafting menu making him stop in his tracks for a minute. Then, he resumes his walk through the station. Or, rather when I have the materials to craft it. Oh well, it will be useful later. But at the very least, a quill pen and some papers will be a good enough start to begin my research. This world. The adventurers. I need to learn about everything, after all, knowledge is power.
He chuckles to himself as he scrolls through the crafting recipes in his HUD. After a good minute, Shard stops in front of an abandoned, decrepid bookstore. He crosses his arm and rubs his chin in thought. "This will do."
Shard looks from side to side, seeing if anyone is nearby. Once he's sure that the coast is clear, he enters inside the store and inspects it. He notes that the door is missing and the store windows are broken as he enters his new workspace. Shard looks up and sees an old steel security gate, he walks over to the right side of the shop. He finds the chain used to roll the security gate and tugs on it. Unfortunately for Shard, the chain stays firmly in place. Shard sighs and he pulls on the chain with both his hands, huffing as he uses more of his strength. This time, Shard was rewarded with a creak and the gate rolls down, clanging as it hits the ground. Stepping back, Shard looks at his handiwork and knowing that he won't have to bother with intruders. "Right. Now I can work in peace."
Shard walks over to the empty shop's counter, planning on using it as his desk, and carefully steps past any fallen shelves. Moving behind the counter, he uprights a fallen stool and sits on it. "Now it's time to work."
