[attr="class","pictureA"] LaviniaLevel 43: Enchanter Level 34: Pharmacist Level 11: Scholar Note: ... It was a beautiful day in the protective shade of the Windsor Greatwoods' leafy canopy. A slight breeze made the greenery dance to the quiet songs of the wind. It had been awhile since Lavinia had been to these woods, it brings back memories. Memories of her first adventure with Kitty and Balore, doing exactly what the enchanter intended to do today, kill boars. But she wasn't here for materials or anything, Lavinia wanted to practice fighting. She had recently switched to a more melee based combat style and after a lot of reading and studying she felt comfortable enough to practice on real monsters even if they are weak.
With her Runed sword at her hip, Lavinia walks through the forest remembering her friends, when she was a summoner, getting poisoned by the garden snake and almost dying to it's burning poison being low level was some of the scariest and fun times for her so far. She walks past green slimes, boars, snakes and many low level creatures till she finds one suitable for her needs. What she found was a monster that Lavinia has never actually seen before, a level 13 Crag Cow. The nameplate on the monster said cow, but it had horns so it was really a bull, but this didn't really matter. Slowly drawing her sword from it's sheath with a shink sound, Lavinia activates three toggle skills to prepare for the fight. First she activated "Spellwalk" followed by "Unarmed Mastery" and then "Foresight" and last but not least she cast "Evaluate" on the cow, with all the information and preparation complete it was time to engage.
Sword in hand Lavinia carefully walks towards the bull her sword raised in a ready position. Because of her level in comparison to the creature she was practically on top of it when it finally decided to attack. It looked at Lavinia lowered it's head and pawed at the ground with it's front hoof. The cast bar given to her by foresight allowed Lavinia to see the charge attack coming and she raised her sword to block the incoming attack. Bone and steel clash as Lavinia struggles to hold back the beast, she wonders how guardians and monks deal with such physical confrontation all the time. "I guess it's just a stat boost thing." she thought as she took a step back and readied her next attack. Moving her left arm out in front of her chest, Lavinia pulled her right arm back as if she was about to thirst her sword forward. She twisted her body and this completed the stance required to activate "Sword Rain Flurry" all she had to do now was call out the name of the skill and the game would handle the rest. "Sword Rain Flurry!" Lavinia calls out and her body moves by itself thrusting her sword into the Crag Cow seven times at lightning speeds. Such an attack was obviously over kill given the level difference, but Lavinia wanted to be able to cast her new skills like she can the rest. Watching the bull disappear into pixels she gets several pieces of steak added to her inventory for killing the creature, maybe a meal for later? Standing up straight Lavinia brushes her red hair back behind her ear as she looks around for another target to practice on. Made by Sileas; with help from Neun, Kyou, Saber, Saki, and Oxford. Valerie was swinging through the treetops, looking for some battles to watch. The level one swashbuckler had developed a habit of finding higher level players who were hunting in the Greatwood forest and watched them fight, learning their styles analyzing each monster’s weakness and strengths. At the moment, the girl was perched on a high branch, hidden by the shadows and leafy branches, looking for a fight to watch. Her violet eyes scanned the area below and caught a glimpse of red hair bobbing below. Finally. The girl sighed softly, relieved that she finally found someone to watch, she was becoming sleepy from sitting high up in the tree. A cool breeze floated through the treetops, creating a nice warm place to relax and sleep, but that was not the reason she was sitting there. The girl stood up and balanced herself on her branch, and then jumped down onto a branch below. She kept doing that until the red haired player came into view and stopped, hiding the leaves and shadows.
The red haired player was a female enchanter was seemed to be hunting for monsters. The other girl was a tad taller than Valerie, not more than an inch. She had fair skin, like the swashbuckler and most other players on this server. The enchanter had typical enchanter garb, a long cloak and a staff. The enchanter had a sword at her hip, slightly surprising Valerie because she had always thought enchanters had staves or stuff like that because they were one of the mage classes and worked with magic. The swashbuckler looked around and scanning for any other players, but the enchanter seemed to be alone. She must be a really high level enchanter. Valerie thought, knowing how most magic classes had the lowest HP of the twelve classes.
The swashbuckler silently moved through the trees, high above the enchanter, trying to remain as quiet as possible. At times like this, Valerie cursed her Swashbuckler class and wished she had chosen the Assassin class who excelled at moving around without a sound. The enchanter had walked pass multiple low level monsters like slimes, boars and snakes, not bothering to fight them, providing more evidence supporting Valerie’s guess about her level. The swashbuckler begun to wonder if the female enchanter was ever planning to fight, until the red head’s hand moved to the sword at her hip and drew it, making Valerie stop and look down from her perch. She followed the enchanter’s gaze and spotted a level thirteen bull like monster.
Valerie sat back on her branch and readied herself to watch the battle. The female player carefully walked toward the bull, shifting into a fighting stance, ready to strike. The bull charged at the girl, its horns and her sword clashing as the enchanter held back the bull. The girl seemed to be having a hard time trying to hold back the monster because of the beast’s size and muscles. She drew back and shouted a skill that was unknown to Valerie, since she had never bothered studying the mage classes. The enchanter thrust her sword forward, making seven hits with one strike because of the skill. The swashbuckler watched in awe as the health bar of the bull emptied and the monster itself disappeared into anima. An interface appeared before her and Valerie straightened her back, trying to read it. Wow, steak… She thought, licking her lips hungrily. Valerie had always loved meat and mentally made note to find more of those bull monsters when she is at a higher level. The enchanter straighten her back, standing up straight again and looked around. Probably looking for more monsters. The swashbuckler assumed.
The girl in the trees worked up the will to jump down and talk to the enchanter. The girl below did not seemed to be any danger to Valerie beside the sheer level difference but the swashbuckler had a feeling that the red haired enchanter would not be a danger to her. The swashbuckler jumped down from her branch, landing in a crouch. Valerie straightened up with a small smile on her face, attempting to look casual and not like an enemy. “Hello. That was a pretty good fight. You’re really good.” She said, letting the enchanter know that she had seen the fight.

Scanning the area looking for another target to train on and finding nothing but slimes and other unworthy creatures Lavinia sighs. She considers moving on to a different area when a soft thud followed by a voice reaches her ears. The direction of the sound is behind her right shoulder. This sudden appearance of a stranger catches Lavinia off guard as her head snaps in the direction of the sound and the muscles in her body tightens, a reaction driven by instinct the basic human fight or flight response. Lavinia looks at this stranger, not in anyway to threatening just analyzing the possible threat. Her brow slightly creased, her eyes focused and kinda scary looking her body rigid, ready to react to an attack, but none will come of course. She makes an almost instantaneous inspection of the girl, low level, female, melee class probably assassin, her posture and facial expression appear relaxed and cheerful. Relaxing Lavinia's body returns to it's normal relaxed state and she returns the girls smile. "Hey... thanks I guess. I need more practice, it shouldn't have been that hard to block that charge attack. My stance wasn't quite right I think."Giving the girl a more thorough inspection, Lavinia finds that the girl is actually shorter than she is, looks younger than she actually is maybe 16 or so. She also has violet eyes which Lavinia finds very pretty and will become her favorite feature this stranger has. This stranger is actually rather cute or so Lavinia thought and eventually noticed herself staring. Blushing and turning away slightly Lavinia looks off in the distance in the hopes that she'll spot another monster or something. "So do you always stalk people from the trees? Or am I just to strong to be your pray today?" she comments with a slight laugh at the end hoping this covers.

Valerie’s mind panicked slightly when she saw the enchanter tense a bit, ready for a fight, but sighed internally when the other girl’s body relaxed. The swashbuckler wanted to avoid a fight with the other girl because it was a fight that was close to impossible to win, and she didn’t like gambling. She had seen the enchanter easily take down a level thirteen monster with a sword while being one of the magic classes. Though being a level one would simply mean that pretty much any other player could beat her which was one of the reasons the swashbuckler was working hard to level up.
“It was alright, but you could have grounded yourself to the ground a bit more from what I saw.” Valerie said softly, hoping not to offend the other. The swashbuckler noticed the enchanter’s icy blue eyes glance over her but the other girl suddenly blushed, looking away. Valerie’s violet eyes widened in slight confusion, wondering why the other girl was blushing, but she quickly forgot about it when the enchanter asked her about being in the trees. This time, Valerie’s cheeks flushed light pink as the other girl’s accusations.
“I wasn’t stalking you!” The swashbuckler exclaimed, trying to defend herself, but looked away awkwardly as she realized what was happening. “Well, you see, I wasn’t stalking. I was looking for fights to learn how to fight better and I happened to see you and watched you fight.” Valerie said meekly, rather embarrassed considering how it was extremely close to stalking, but not quite yet. “And I was never planning to attack anyone, except low level monsters.” The girl added in a soft voice. Player killing was something Valerie would never resort to, unless she was attacked, and then it would be in defence. The swashbuckler despised player killers and their way of thinking and thought it was rather a childish way of surviving in this world.
“So, are you planning to hunt a bit longer?” Valerie asked, nodding toward the sword at the enchanter’s hip. She was interested in watching the enchanter fight with a sword instead of only magic. Most people in the forest were one of the warrior or weapons specialist classes, like Valerie herself. It was rare to see someone with a mage class fighting alone since they are generally support classes. Usually, not always though, which was something the swashbuckler realized today. Her mind blanked out for a second before snapping back into reality, remembering she had never gotten the enchanter’s name or introduced herself. “I’m Valerie, but you can call me Val. What is your name?” She asked the red haired girl. “If you don’t mind, that is.” Valerie added quickly, giving the enchanter an option to keep her identity hidden if she preferred.

Lavinia looked at her feet as she listened to the ground at her feet as she listened to the swashbucklers advice. It was kinda strange, a level one adventure giving a level forty three adventure combat advice. It really should have been expected, she's a weapons specialist and Lavinia is not. In fact her fighting style is rather unusual for her class. A melee caster hybrid, a spell sword in some games, a person with the ability to fight up close but still keep their ranged abilities. This makes for a play style that can adapt to situations quickly, but like everything it has it's draw backs. Lavinia shrugs at the swashbucklers advice, she's probably right after all. Lavinia really didn't know what she was doing quite yet that's why she was out here fighting lower level monsters, for practice. "Yeah, that's probably why. I'm still new at using a sword. It's a interesting change in perspective. Going from a ranged position to a up close one, I like it though."Lavinia was so very glad when her attempt to divert the pairs attention from her admiring Val's figure to why Val was in the trees watching her. Lavinia believed her of course, it's something she would do if she could jump though the trees like a monkey. "Maybe one more..."A small smirk crossed Lavinia's face, introductions would have to come first before the reason for such a smirk would be revealed. Valerie, what a cute name for a cute girl. "I'm Lavinia, nice to meet you Valerie. I was planning on it yes. But now I'm kind of worried about more monkeys coming out of the trees to get me. So, your the distraction, where are your friends hiding?" Lavinia says teasingly as she looked around through the branches around them. Lavinia hoped this would have the desired effect of flustering Val even more, ruffling her feathers so to speak. A amusing way to kick off the new friendship and maybe even create a bit of a bonding moment. Leading Val off in a random direction, Lavinia wondered what they could fight next. She'd have to be careful now, the monsters in the area won't attack her so easily, but they'll jump on Val in a hurry if there aggressive. "Hmmm, what to fight next... could probably find another bull, or find an Gerald..." Lavinia said softly, to herself mostly but wouldn't be against input from her companion either.

When the Enchanter shrugged, Valerie laughed awkwardly and looked away, feeling bad for telling a level forty three Enchanter how to improve. But the other girl spoke again, seemed to accept Valerie’s suggestion, at which the Swashbuckler sighed inwardly in relief. As the red haired Adventurer mentioned her ranged position in a fight, Valerie nodded, knowing how most mage classes are ranged since magic can cover quite some distance, something Valerie’s own daggers could not unless she threw them, but that would only leave the level one Swashbuckler unarmed, which was simply reckless.
The Enchanter answered Valerie’s question about hunting, telling the girl that she was almost done fighting. The swashbuckler nodded and stretched out her back a bit from being cramped in the trees. It was fun watching the Enchanter fight and was a very unique way since most mage classes would fight from the back.
After Valerie introduced herself, a small smirk appeared on the Enchanter’s face, causing the Swashbuckler to blink at the other girl, rather confused but she simply shrugged it off. The Enchanter introduced herself and apparently went by the name Lavinia. When she mentioned monkeys in in the trees, Valerie’s brows furrowed in confusion, until the Enchanter clarified. A blank, mildly annoyed expression settled on her face as Lavinia asked where her friends are hiding. Valerie did not even know what to say anymore, she knew that defending herself will do no good as the Enchanter had repeatedly asked where the others were, but an idea crossed her mind. The Swashbuckler pretended to think and then pointed behind the Enchanter, placing a dark grin on her face. “Mmm… They’re right behind you.” She said, completely deadpan.
The Enchanter began to walk off, probably to find some more monsters to kill, and Valerie followed the other and kept a distance, but walked beside Lavinia. The Swashbuckler didn’t like people behind her, and the other girl probably didn’t either. It was not a nice feeling, being vulnerable and having your back exposed to someone you just met. Lavinia seemed to be debating out loud what kind of monster to fight next. A bull sounded nice, and the Enchanter could probably get some practice with fighting against a monster whose power is their brute strength. Then she mentions something or someone named Gerald, making Valerie tilt her head to the side in mild confusion. The way the girl have phrased it, made it seem like an object but Gerald seemed like a name. So after some mental debate, Valerie decided to asked Lavinina about it. “Gerald?” She asked softly, as she peered at the Enchanter, looking for answers.
