[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]ELKEID [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Faustine Drechsler [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: Twenty-Nine [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Demisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Lisa Lisa, JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Benetnasch [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] Faustine's appearance in-game closely resembles her actual body, minus her bust, which is much smaller. Her body type can best be described as ectomorphic; she is 5'11 and weighs roughly [REDACTED] lbs. She has long, dark brown hair that extends to her waist, which is normally worn down unless special occasion dictates otherwise. The round, green eyes she regards everyone with are a better indicator of what she is feeling or thinking at the moment. Those same green eyes, for example, mostly focus on the lips of a person she is talking or listening to. She does this when she is lip reading, and may even turn her head towards the speaker to give them the impression that she is listening to their speech. She becomes agitated when the speaker covers their mouth or is out of her viewing range, or unintentionally ignores them until they do a better job of making themselves known. Her gait and the way she carries herself resembles her general expression: surefooted and relaxed. This is not a woman who is prone to smiling, nor is the rarely seen sight always a pleasant one. A "smile" from her means that one should keep track of her hands and feet at all times. Her love for design and reserved nature extends to her sense of fashion, which is usually minimalistic and monochromatic. The one accessory she refuses to exclude from her wardrobe is her assorted collection of scarves. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Much like her body language, Faustine is a rather cool and confident woman. She has been described as blunt, cynical and stoic. She can also be very reserved, though she has been known to warm up to certain people faster than others. The people on this list are very few in number, though, as she is not the sort who can readily trust another person. She dislikes bringing up the topic of her auditory agnosia, and will go out of her way to seem normal. Special treatment is thus more likely to piss her off than comfort her, which is why she avoids the topic if she can help it. The problem lies in the way the game "corrected" her condition. Speech became recognizable, but in a way that the words came in one jumbled mess. She has a strong distaste of crowded areas as a result. Drunk Faustine is just regular Faustine with an aggressive edge and sharper temper. This side of her only appears when she’s drunken a copious amount of alcohol, as she can hold her own for quite a bit before succumbing to inebriation. Outside of inns and other safe areas, however, she only drinks alcohol when in battle, and that is to aid her offensive capabilities. On a brighter side, Faustine is a creative and talented woman, on top of being quick-witted and perceptive. She relies more on logic and reasoning than emotion, meaning that she’ll think out a plan or maneuver, rather than jumping immediately into a new task. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Faustine was orphaned at a very early age, after her parents were killed during an assault by carjackers. The bandits responsible were scared off before they could loot much, and they were far too busy otherwise to make note of the infant. The reason for this was mostly the child's quiet state when a Good Samaritan finally found her. She was prodded and gently pinched to gauge her mental state and well-being, but she seemed incapable of making a sound. A doctor later determined that the child was a deaf mute. With no parents or living relatives to speak of, the girl was taken in and adopted by her godfather, Engel Drechsler. Engel was a successful and well off lawyer, residing in London, England. Most of the credit of raising Faustine went to her governess, however, but Engel did show interest from time to time. Due to her disability and general disposition, she was a quiet child and tolerable enough to accompany him on errands or business trips. On one such occasion, Faustine was able to point out a would-be-thief - with the use of her voice, as her guardian was preoccupied with a client. The high, keening sound the child produced startled not only her guardian, but the client and thief himself. Further consultation with several doctors confirmed that the girl was not mute or fully deaf, but suffered from a condition known as auditory agnosia. She was able to hear sound, but was unable to recognize or distinguish speech. From that day on, a special teacher was hired to work with and teach the girl how to refine her speech, as well as teaching her sign language and lip reading. It was a long and arduous process, but by the time the girl was thirteen years old, she could speak as well any other person. The only problem was her pitch, which was low, mostly due to lack of confidence at that age. Faustine fared well in her studies, and within a few years was ready to attend college. She studied at a local university before going to Sweden, where she received her master's degree in Interior Design. It was there that she met Imogen, a single mother who worked as a bartender. Imogen had recently obtained her degree in business, and with Faustine's help as a designer, restored an old, decrepit building and turned it into an upscale establishment. The Prickly Cacti (often shortened to "Prick"), named after its round, cactus shaped building and theme, was surprisingly popular amongst the younger generation, particularly the homosexual community of Stockholm. The bar flourished, and so did Faustine's (who enjoyed the free drinks) client list. It was here that she was contacted for her next biggest job - turning a studio apartment into every "hardcore" gamer's wet dream. The woman herself knew next to nothing about video games, so she felt in over her head once she started drawing drafts. She consulted the only person she knew with extensive knowledge on video games - Imogen's son, Petter. It was Petter who suggested that she try playing a few games for further inspiration, Elder Tale included. Her agreement that immersion was better than looking at videos or images online was her downfall. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] - Blood type: AB - Astrological sign: Virgo - Second prevalent vice: smoking. - Her full name, given to her by her godfather upon adoption, roughly means "good luck turner". - Like her godfather, she too is of German descent. - She chose the monk class because of the self defense classes she had taken a few summers ago. |

It is activated when the monk uses an alcohol-based drink made by a Brewer. While inhibition by alcohol would normally lower fighters' coordination, this skill causes a heightening of some of the monk's natural reflexes, raising their evasion rate and providing a small chance for the monk to passively dodge attacks entirely. Still, this status only lasts as long as the effect of the drink. So please drink responsibly. [attr="class","skill"]Suplex: The user grabs hold of their target and leaps into the air. During the grapple the user spins horizontally then the victim is flung over the shoulder and slammed into the ground. This skill does more damage the longer the user holds on, but at greater risk. [attr="class","skill"]Tiger Echo Fist: The user punches the ground, unleashing a powerful shockwave that damages nearby enemies and sends them flying. [attr="class","skill"]Bullet Punch: Tier I Skill - The user enters a frenzy by launching multiple punches after another, each punch launched at a faster than usual rate without losing very much momentum from a regular punch. The only disadvantage is that the user's arms are locked into performing this punching animation for two seconds straight, preventing them from doing anything else until the animation has completed. [attr="class","skill"]Rafting Taunt: The user poses aggressively and baits enemies' attention. For a few seconds, all enemies within the surrounding area can only select the monk as a combat target. This is often used as a means of managing consistent aggro control. [attr="class","skill"]Iron Body: The monk flexes their body, causing their skin to transform into an iron-like color for the duration of the skill. It provides additional offensive and defensive power at the slight cost of agility. As long as it is maintained, the monk's MP is gradually reduced. [attr="class","skill"]Iron Rhino Stance: One of the toggle-activated Monk stances. The Iron Rhino Stance causes a semi-transparent projection of a rhino's head to be superimposed on the player's upper body. While in this defensive stance, the user's evasion rate greatly decreases while their defensive ability increases. It's often combined with Iron Body to turn the normally agile class into a slightly capable tank. [attr="class","skill"]Skybound Throw: A monk skill that utilizes throwing weapons in order to keep one's distance. It is performed by jumping backward and tossing throwing weapons forward. The Monk is then propelled about a foot upward in the opposite direction with each throw. This skill may only be sustained for a total of three seconds before it automatically deactivates. It has a cooldown time of five seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Zoom Attack: Usually called Zoom Punch or Zoom Kick by players who use it in the respective way, the Monk launches a punch or kick at the target as their limb extends for an additional meter forward for a few moments. The suddenly extended range of attack catches most melee opponents off guard. This skill has a cooldown time of five seconds, making it a viable fighting style for unconventional Monks who want to fulfill a mid-ranged role. It's said that a Monk named Dhalsim on the India Server popularized this skill by suggesting a build based on being able to use it with greatly decreased cooldown. [attr="class","skill"]Aura Dragon Punch: A skill that is performed by cupping the hands together and then thrusting them forward at the opponent. This generates a densely-concentrated ball of mana which is then thrown forward and deals physical damage to whatever it hits. While this skill can be used in rapid succession, it drains 10% of the user's maximum MP every time. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 2 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Somersault Kick: Tier I Monk Skill The user performs a somersault with an outstretched leg, aiming to kick the monster in a preemptive strike while gathering some momentum. This move can be also be used in mid-air in order to propel the user with a slight upward momentum, allowing them to gain about another second of air time. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Wyvern Kick: Tier I Monk SkillThe user takes to the sky by performing a high jump, then kicking down toward a target. Often, the monk will then perform another jump to maintain the height advantage. This skill is particularly taken by monks for its vaulting properties. This skill has an animation time of 0.75 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Battering Ram: Tier II Monk Skill The Monk's localized version of the Samurai's Zantetsuken skill, only balanced to provide better combat uses. Battering Ram attempts to slam a target with a punch of high momentum. Inanimate objects such as walls and doors take heavy damage from contact with this attack, while opponents' weapons and armor suffer damage and defense debuffs if used to guard against this attack. Direct contact with an opponent, however, deals only a medium amount of damage akin to what one would expect from a strong punch. But maybe you can deal psychological damage to people with this attack. Breaking a table in half with a single punch will make enemies think twice about arguing with you. The animation time of the skill is 0.5 seconds and its cooldown is 6 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Magnet Grip: Tier II Monk Skill The Monk points an outstretched open palm outward and channels mana toward a single point. This ability causes the Monk's body to quickly move over toward the point like a magnet, even if the Monk is currently in mid-air. This skill works well as a utility technique to allow the Monk to recover from a high drop by quickly grabbing onto the side of a wall. It can also be used in combat by attracting a smaller object into the Monk's hand or by concentrating the skill on a retreating opponent so that their movement speed when escaping is reduced. As long as Magnet Grip is active, the Monk's MP is reduced by a small amount every few seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Incarnated Assault: Tier II Monk Skill Mana surges around the user in a golden aura as their body leaves behind spirit-like doppelgangers. The user then launches a series of punches forward and the doppelgangers follow suit, bashing at the target from other angles. A target struck by this attack is thoroughly pummeled as though they were being beat up on all sides. This skill uses 10% of the user's maximum MP per use. The damage from this skill is treated to be 2x effective rather than 1.5x effective against physical-weak targets. This skill has an animation time of 2.5 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Acupressure: Tier II Monk Skill Particularly experienced martial artists know that striking an opponent at particular pressure points will result in a greater amount of damage to the foe. Acupressure is a toggle skill that enhances the user's vision to reveal an interface overlaid upon the target's body. Striking at these points will result in various effects depending upon the spot targeted. Striking the core and vital regions result in a greater chance of a critical hit, while attacking points on the arms and legs will induce minor stuns on the limb in question. This stun effect typically results in reduced movement and attack speed. There is a minor MP drain to upkeep this skill. [attr="class","skill"]Heated Combat: Tier II Monk Skill A Monk's toggle skill that behaves similarly to the Beatdown skill in that its effects become more pronounced with repeated combos. However, rather than accumulate power through enemy kills, Heated Combat is a skill that gains power through individual attack combos. As long as the Monk keeps striking the enemy with blows and does not get interrupted for more than half a second, their punches and kicks will gradually increase in damage. The aesthetic effect of this skill is that the skin around the fist or foot becomes hot to the touch, but this skill does not actually deal fire elemental damage. [attr="class","skill"]Amazonian Tornado: Tier II Monk Skill The combat arts of capoeira are known for its agile acrobatics and specialty of feints and kicks. This skill was developed on the South American server where the Monk class was localized to the Capoeirista class. The Monk begins by performing a cartwheel and then transitions into a twisting kick with the lower shin. This attack is an aú batido, one of the standard techniques of the martial arts style, and is a required pose to assume before continuing with the skill. What makes this technique different from a standard technique performable by any practitioner, however, is the second part of the skill. By exerting additional pressure at the foot during the twist kick, the entire body will then rapidly spin in midair and deal a momentum-driven tornado kick. The agile nature of this skill, along with its low cooldown, makes it a great way to keep your foes at a distance. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Release Chakra: Tier II Monk Skill As popularized by the techniques of acupressure, much as there are pressure points that causes negative effects or just outright hurt a lot if struck, other pressure points can induce relaxation or enhanced physiological effects. This skill is the opposite of the offensive Acupressure skill in that it is usually used on an ally. An interface appears over the body of the ally, with small points appearing. Striking these points can result in increased attack damage, attack speed, or movement speed. The more points are struck, the more potent the effects. Although even if all points are struck, the maximum benefit of this skill is probably a 10% increase. These minor buffs last for roughly five minutes before wearing off. Keep in mind that using this skill on a target will deal damage, albeit extremely minor, to the target, so it's probably not a good idea to use it on someone whose HP is very low. [attr="class","skill"]Eye of the Tiger: Tier II Monk Skill A skill with a namesake representative of the level of concentration that the Monk undergoes. The Monk's pain tolerance is increased, allowing them to shrug off attacks that would otherwise cause them to flinch or stagger. Additionally, the Monk's movement speed is increased by 25% within under the effects of this skill. The activation of Eye of the Tiger causes the Monk's eyes to glow with an orange-red light which starts to flicker when the skill is about to wear off. This skill has a duration of 20 seconds which increases to 30 seconds when the Monk becomes Level 60. This skill has a cooldown of 1 minute. [attr="class","skill"]Holy Banishment: The Exorcist covers their palm in a glowing light and points at a target, releasing a semi-transparent laser forward. If the target was an aggressive monster, they drop aggro on the party for a few moments and may even retreat. If the target is an Undead or Spirit monster, or if they are weak to abilities of the Light element, then this skill knocks them back and deals light damage. It has a cast time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 10 seconds, and its potency increases with a higher Wisdom stat and Exorcist level. [attr="class","skill"]Divine Ward: This skill requires an open space of at least six feet around the Exorcist in all directions, ignoring obstacles. The Exorcist's palm glows as they strike the ground, forming a magic circle with a radius of five feet around the Exorcist for a minute. All Undead or Spirit monsters within the boundary are blown out of the boundary and take constant damage as long as they are within the boundary. [attr="class","skill"]Aetherial Flash: The Exorcist gathers mana in the surrounding area and aspects it into the light element. This extends the time it takes for a non-light elemental skill to be used, especially those of the opposing darkness element. Upon the activation of this skill, all characters within 10 meters (including the user and allies) receive an Aetherial Flash debuff. While an Aetherial Flash debuff is active, all elemental skills performed by the user that are not light attribute have their casting or animation time increased by 1 second. Darkness attribute skills have their casting or animation time increased by 2 seconds instead. As soon as a character successfully uses an elemental skill that is not light attribute, or after 10 seconds have passed, the Aetherial Flash debuff is canceled. This light attribute skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Carving: Toggle skill. Artisans have a certain affinity with carving stone, making their normal artistic talents not to be underestimated in battle. Artisans deal 20% more damage to Rock-type monsters. They can also ignore defense buffs on Rock-type monsters. [attr="class","skill"]Quick Architect: Through a process of trial and error, fledgling Artisans are able to learn the techniques for producing crafted materials quickly. This allows them to create temporary structures of stone, given enough available materials. However, this comes with the cost of making the object extremely fragile, to the point where even a moderate impact can completely shatter it. It's said that some Artisans have attempted to turn this quirk into an unusual battle strategy when fighting atop stone-filled mountains. [attr="class","skill"]Perfectionism: No one can beat an Artisan when it comes to producing works of art and this distinction becomes even more pronounced when the Artisan has time to perfect the most minute details of their craft. When the Artisan performs a craft in any craft thread (cannot be a speed craft), the Artisan may apply this skill as a bonus to increase the level of the item by 5. This skill may boost an item's level past their own crafting level. No item can be boosted past Level 90 by this effect. If the item's level is 90 before this effect is applied, the Artisan's Material Fees are reduced by 50% instead when performing this craft in a craft thread. [attr="class","skill"]Attention to Detail: The Artisan may toggle this skill in order to increase the magnification power of their vision by 5 times. This allows them to see five times more clearly, be it examining small particles to looking at things from a distance is not affected. This ability is very useful for not only for spotting minor imperfections in their artwork, but also for scouting purposes. Attention to Detail has a casting time of 2 seconds, lasts for 30 seconds when toggled, and it has a cooldown time of 60 seconds starting the moment it is cast. If this skill is used in a craft thread (cannot be a speed craft), the NPC sell price of the produced item is increased by 25%. [attr="class","skill"]Pygmalion's Grace: An Artisan technique that can erase any slip of the hand in order to save an artwork from imperfection or simple misfortune. This skill can be used to target any Artisan item, causing it to revert to its condition 1 minute prior. Any damage or changes done to the item is removed. Because of the amount of mana required to make such precise changes, activating this skill requires a significant amount of MP to use. Due to the Artisan having to use less materials overall, reduce the Material Fee of a craft by 25% if this skill is used in a craft thread (cannot be a speed craft). [attr="class","skill"]Call of Home: A skill that preserve the body's physical integrity as it scatters their life and soul energy into the atmosphere to be reformed in a sanctuary. Upon use, this skill will teleport the character back to the character's 'home city.' This is designated by toggling the skill while in the city of question. In order to preserve the body from damage due to this transfer, there is a one hour cooldown time before teleportation may be used again. The casting time of this skill is two seconds, which means that even though it is often used as a last resort while in battle, it is dangerous to use without an amble window of opportunity. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Le Disko (Cloth Armour) (L52): A set of cloth armor that can best be described as "club wear." It consists of a sleeveless, grey draped jersey top, black draped harem pants with a jersey cuff, and a black long front vest. To top it off, this set comes with ankle length gladiator heels, bolstered by two inch heels. On the tags, there is a stylized F sewn into it and a stylized F etched on the top of the soles of the heels to denote the crafter. Reforges: Movement Speed Increase [13%] [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand:Kiss of the Stars (L52) They say you shouldn't kiss cold metal because your lips will stick. Well, what happens when the metal kisses you? [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Kiss of the Stars (L52): [Reforge Effect: Eye of the Tiger's duration increased by 5 seconds] [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: Aviator Goggles - Lv25 accessory: These lightweight and stylish goggles sport grey smoke lens and a gloss black frame. The lens are fog proof, and the provided lining helps provide a snug, yet comfortable fit, along with locking dust and debris out. These are typically propped up on the wearer's forehead when not worn over the eyes. Effect: Incarnated Assault's damage is increased by 6 levels. [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#2:Bloody Stream -- Level 50 Scarf -- A long red scarf that trails to the wearer's shins. While most people (particularly the short ones) would consider it to be quite cumbersome, those with longer limbs view it as only a matter of wrapping the scarf tighter around themselves. This is ideal in combat, though the more resourceful can use the length to their advantage. In cold weather, this scarf helps provide warmth to the neck and shoulders. The Funeral Parlor emblem is sewn into the end of the scarf. Reforges: Artisan Production Quality Increase [5 Level Boost] [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#3: Red Stone of Aja - Lv25 accessory. A silver necklace with a big red gemstone embedded in its face. It glows as though vibrating with the power of one's youthful heart. Effect: The cooldown for Eye of the Tiger is reduced by 2.5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#4: Rudolph Choker (Lv.50): A snug necklace made from black velvet. It has a small, red bauble attached, which softly glows and...jingles? It seems to radiate a cheer reserved for a certain winter holiday. Increases the production quality of Artisan crafts by five levels. [attr="class","h3"]Inventory [attr="class","b2"] Ursa Major -- Level 52 Throwing Knives -- A set of seven small knives, each with matching dark blue handles and pearl white blades. The blades possess a luster-like quality that makes them seem to glisten and gleam, regardless of the amount of light or lack of. To anyone seeing them thrown for the first time, they may be mistaken for small "shooting stars". Each blade has a small inscription in single Greek lettering, naming them by the initial of their relevant star: α for Dubhe, β for Merak, γ for Phecda, and so on and so forth. At the hilts of the knives, the Funeral Parlor emblem has been engraved. Bloody Stream - Lv10 accessory. A long, red scarf that trails to the wearer's shins. It crackles with a golden energy when the user is injured, activating a passive HP regeneration. Charcoal: Level one. A black, charred substance left behind after burning wood until all impurities are gone. It can be used to light a fire in place of coal should lighter fluid be applied. The Minnower: Level three. A simple fishing pole and reel. It still has a small leaf stuck to the center. It is not sturdy enough to be used for anything other than fishing for minnows. Balsa-Wood Stick of Fish Smiting Level one. The ultimate tool against small fish in streams across the world! Supposedly. The tool is used by throwing it, much like a javelin but above water, towards one's prey with hopes to spear the creature or immobilize it. The harpoon can also be used to spear ones prey, to defend oneself from a predator, or at least be used as a deterrent if assaulted. Due to the lack of strength, this variety of Harpoons doesn't tend to last very long unless it is maintained constantly. Immortal Smoke - Lv 25 accessory: An Elizabethan styled clay pipe, distinctly made from different colors of clay and stone to give it a marbled effect. At less than four and a half inches, it is rather small but functional. Effect: The cooldown for the Fist of Boreas is reduced by 2.5 seconds. Flute: Level one. A simple wooden flute. Owl Stamp: Level five. A small hand-sculpted stamp with an etched in owl design. It leaves a small owl's face when used to stamp documents. Rudolph Choker: (Item Level 20) A snug necklace made from black velvet. It has a small, red bauble attached, which softly glows and...jingles? It seems to radiate a cheer reserved for a certain winter holiday. Increases the production quality of Artisan crafts by two levels. Fireplace Level 61. A fireplace for the colder seasons. Make sure to install it with proper ventilation and good quality firewood. This item gives a bonus of +2 REC if used as housing furniture (this bonus doubles during the winter months of December-February). Black Tortoise Buckler --Level 60-- A Production-Class buckler made from the carapace of a giant tortoise’s shell. As the shield made of bone, it is generally lighter than its metal counterparts. This buckler is crafted from the shell of one of twin giant tortoises. In particular, the shell of the anti-magic tortoise was chosen to guard against ranged magic attacks that were impossible to dodge. This buckler is part of a pair, and its counterpart specializes in physical defense. With a diameter of 35 centimeters, the shield boss was carved out of the apex of the shell. Surrounding the shield boss are flatter shell plates welded together. A fired clay handle has been bolted down across the inner section of the shield for the user to grip. It has a small shooting star engraved on the inner side, to denote the crafter. Reforge effect: 60.0025% magic defense increase Crème: Level 20 Vanity Gear. It consists of a long sleeved white blouse, and a black skirt that stops just at the knees. There is a long slit up one side of the skirt, though the sheer stockings worn beneath prohibit the exposure of bare flesh. A simple pair of black heels and a cream colored trench coat complete the ensemble. 'Sark' is listed on the tags. Waldeinsamkeit: Level 40 Cloth Furniture. “Woodland solitude; the feeling of being alone in the woods.“ A large, white sling, well over six feet long and wide enough to accomodate two people. This hammock is perfect for those longing to lounge around in the comfort of their backyard. 'Sark' is listed on the tags. [+2 REC] Mighty Glacier: Lv30 two-handed sword. Practically a gigantic hunk of sharpened ice, the enchantment placed upon this weapon ensures that the cold sharp edge never dulls from use or climate. Inflicts ice elemental damage via non-skill attacks. If the wearer's main class level is less than 30, this weapon scales down to their level. In addition, when this item is possessed in the inventory, it can be used in a thread to mask over a weapon of the same type. |
