Coming out of her bathroom in just a t-shirt the enchantress Lavinia was almost ready to settle in for the night and go to sleep. She had one thing left to do and that was to start her journal, a book of her day to day life to help test the waters for changing to scribe. Walking over to the end table Lavinia slides open the drawer and pulls a smallish red book, a small jar of ink and a quill pen. Taking her new found items Lavinia sets the ink on the end table and climbs into bed. Getting comfy Lavinia opens the book to it's first page dips the quill in the ink jar and presses it to the page. "February 4th Year 1: I'm not sure how I should do this but here goes my first entry. I got up kind of early today at around 7am, it was beautiful morning with clear blue skies and everything. Did the usual morning routine, bathe, clean my teeth, fix my hair and made breakfast. Tried to make what's called eggs in a basket for breakfast. Just bread with a hole cut in the middle them a egg poured in the whole and fry it. Turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Ever since we got stuck in this world I've slowly become a better cook, I guess living on your own will do that to a person. It was a pretty good start to a day. After breakfast I restocked my supply of consumables that I like to keep on hand. Just a few mana potions and health tablets and that was good enough. After that I headed to the library for a few hours. I needed to clean up a bit, I was researching a monster a few days ago and didn't get the chance to put the books away. After organizing the books was done I continued my studies on bladed weapons. I've become pretty good at using my Runed sword, but there is always something new to learn. The training with @blazeedge really helped, he's a great swordsman, plus it was fun sparing with him. We've become rather close recently, going to the winter ball together and all or maybe I've just finally really noticed him for who he is. This makes me wonder, but that's a topic for another day. I finished the book I was reading and decided to head to town for lunch. I stopped at a sea food place and got shrimp and fried rice. It was delicious, I wish I could cook meals that good, maybe I should switch to chef. The meal was kind of pricy but very worth it to me, it's making me hungry again just thinking about it. I would totally recommend the place to others. Met a cute red head there too, I think she was a lander by the way she spoke but her company was nice and welcomed, I should of asked for a friend request she was really cute. After lunch I went shopping a bit, I ran out of onions and few other things. Prices for produce have gone up lately, I heard rumors that the landers who grow them had to hire guards for their fields because of the Heretic's destroying things. I guess it's possibly that it's true, but then the Warden's should be stopping them right? Guess we just have to deal with it. I managed to catch a ride back home that evening from a young man, a farmer and his carriage were heading my way. I paid him two hundred gold for the ride and hiked the rest of the way. I love my house, but the trip is kind of obnoxious. The small cliff I had it built on is pretty steep in places, maybe I'll buy another home in Londium or something. Just a small place to relax and then make the trip to this place to do my work. We'll see... After putting everything away it was getting a little late. Not really late enough for dinner yet, but not early enough to go replenish my supply of herbs. So I grabbed a lantern and went out and practiced the stances and forms Klide taught me when using a sword. The stuff he showed me is actually a pretty good work out routine, after I washed up real quick and prepared dinner. I decided to make a favorite that Kitty made me awhile ago. A salad with strawberries and other fruits, delicious. After washing all the dishes for supper i wanted a bath, after that work out I could use one. Plus I've always been told it's good to bath before bed so... Now that I think about it I wonder if we can gain weigh here... Anyway, I'm so glad I went with the baths instead of something else. Having your own hot tub to soak in is just heaven, it would be even better if I had someone to join me to talk to, I didn't think it would be so quiet living by yourself. After my soak I worked on my formulas for my latest work, the elemental grenades, I really need a better name for them. I recently made a break through in my research as well. Well not really a breakthrough a small improvement, if my math is right anyway. In theory if I combined the powdered herb with a bit of water and mix it with a powdered mana fragment and some how form it all into small pellets the reaction will be much greater. I still need to find a reactive agent that will trigger the effect, but I'll deal with that when I get to it. After that I decided it was time to call it a night, changed into my pjs and here I am. I guess this isn't to bad for a first entry, thus might prove more useful than I thought..." And that was it, Lavinia's first of many entries. Setting her quell on her end table Lavinia shuts her book and places it beside the quell and lastly secures the lid on the ink. Giving a giant stretch accompanied by the appropriate adorable stretching sound Lavinia slides under her covers and drifts off to sleep. Word Count: 1056 Tag: Notes:

It has been a few days since Lavinia had wrote in her journal, so tonight she thought would be a nice time to write a bit more. Exiting her bathroom in her light blue PJs Lavinia was just about ready to go to sleep for the night. She needed more practice and this was the easiest way to get it. Not to mention writing the days events down helped her sort through her thoughts. Going over to the end table Lavinia open the drawer and pulls out her red book, a jar of ink and a quill pen. Taking these items Lavinia sets the ink on the end table and jumps into bed. Getting comfy under the covers Lavinia opens the book to it's first page dips the quill in the ink jar and presses it to the page. "February 10th Year 1: Hey, it's been a few days since I wrote anything so I thought now would be a nice time. Woke up this morning pretty late than usual, around 10amish or so. Not sure why, I went to bed same time as always maybe I'm catching a cold or something. I don't think we can get sick here, or else I would have heard about it and added a cure to my list of possible creations to make. Oh well, I had a full course meal for breakfast, although I regret dirtying so many dishes. Had pancakes eggs and sausage with strawberry milk, yum. If I wanted to get far id have that exact meal every day, it's probably one of my favorite breakfasts. Anyway, after breakfast I lounged around reading over my notes for my newest creation. For now I'm calling them "Gas Elemental Ampoules", since that's much better than elemental grenades. I contracted a artisan in Avon to craft ampoules out of a special type of glass. When broken the glass breaks down into pure anima and it disperses back into the air. Pretty neat idea if I do say so myself... I'm still trying to find a way to form the powder into pellets, I'm confident I'll get over this hurtle soon. After my review session I had an order of potions to fill. The first client ordered a single Nighteye potion, all I could think was really. That's hardly worth my time, luckily I had a few in stock so I didn't have to waste time brewing it myself. I may have to put a restriction on how few people can buy at once... The second order I got was from a Warden officer from Avon. He wanted supplies for his squad and came to me, am I developing a name for myself? That would be cool... The order was rather large. Fifteen cans of anti miasma spray, thirty medicinal tablets, thirty lesser mana potions and ten under water breathing potions. The money was good off the Wardens order so I didn't complain about the rush order, after all he paid double my standard fair. I'm glad I picked this crafting class, it's useful, let's me be creative in terms of creating new items, and there is money to be made even if it's not my goal. I worked through lunch with just a quick sandwich to hold me over till later that evening. I really am a workaholic, or maybe I'm just dedicated. I feel bad if I have an order to fill and I'm not filling it. Like it nags at the back of my mind, I even lose some sleep over it occasionally. I'll have to ask someone why that is... Really think I am a workaholic... After I filled my orders I decided it would be a change to go for a walk. I thought id walk down to the lake for a bit, enjoy the air and so forth. It's not healthy to stay cooped up in the house all the time, although it may just be if you run into trouble. Which I didn't, the trip was uneventful, the air was a bit chilly but the sun was out and felt warm. I thought about taking a dip in the lake but it was much to cold and I would rather not freeze on my way back. But I did stop to make a point to gather a few plants, wild onions and radishes in particular, I wanted them for what I had planned for dinner. Trip back was almost uneventful, I wasn't paying attention and almost ran into a cag cow. Not really a threat anymore, but I was close enough to get it's attention so I had to slay it. Got what I was going to make for dinner as a drop, how ironic. Other than that it was smooth sailing. After I got home I stored all of my food in the fridge for later and went to clean my equipment. Polish the sword, remove any blood clean my robes that kind of stuff. Better to take care of it than have to get holes patched or a whole new set made because of neglect. I wonder if I could hire someone to do this for me, it's kinda like stirring my potions , tedious. I've come to notice I don't like tedious things... Anyway, after maintaining the equipment was done it was time for dinner and I was all skin and bones by then. What I made for dinner was cheese burgers. Sadly we don't have grills so I had to make them in a pan, but they turned out great. I used the wild onions with other spices and mixed them right into the cow. Then put a little bit of BBQ sauce on then put the slice of cheese on top, delicious. I then had the wild radishes for a side, they were good too. It's crazy how fast you learn to cook when you live alone. After writing this I kind of wish to start a garden, like grow a few fruits and vegetables. But who am I kidding, I barely have enough time to keep the house clean. I need a maid or something... Actually that's not a bad idea. After cleaning up after dinner I soaked for a bit in the baths. May have done so for a bit to long but it felt great, one of these days I'm gonna fall asleep in there. That'll be interesting when I wake up... After that I read for a bit in the library, I finished the third book in my series about melee weapons. Very informative so far although kind of boring, I think I'd much rather read a book about ballroom dancing. Maybe I'll invite Klide over for more lessons, at least that was entertaining. After that I went and changed into my PJs and here I am. So I guess that's it for now..." Lavinia snapped the book shut finished with her entry in the journal. It was getting late, her yawn gave evidence to prove it. Placing the book on her end table with the quill beside it. She reaches over and places the lid on the ink and hits the lights. Burrowing down Lavinia pulls the covers up so just the top of her head peeks out as she drifts off. She would dream about her life back in the real world, his she spent hours in front of her computer composing music for fun. She really did miss music, she often wondered if someone could invent a way for her to make music again, she didn't hold much hope though. Word Count: 1264 Tag: Notes:

Another few days have passed since Lavinia's last entry, shes been busy lately. She was ready to pass out but she was determined to write an entry for what has been going on lately. Today she didn't care, walking out of her bathroom from doing her nightly routine wearing nothing but her underwear. From time to time it was nice to just sleep in almost nothing, ya know? Retrieving her book, quill and the jar of ink she takes them over to her bed and crawls under the covers pulling them up to her mid section. Dipping the quill in the ink she presses pen to paper and begins her entry. February 20th Year 1: Hey, its been awhile hasn't it? Been kinda busy with stuff so lets get to it. Woke up early today, around 4am and couldn't go back to sleep. I had another nightmare about Mom and Dad. It was the same dream as usual, a reenactment of that night... it started occurring on that night the Elder of Moon Dance showed me what I thought I always wanted. I thought I always wanted to know why I was orphaned, what stroke of bad luck set me on the path that made me someone I'm not for the majority of my short life. But once I found out my view of my parents changed drastically, my image of the loving couple and loving parents shattered by the bang of a gun. Now I don't really know what to think, my dad a cheating back stabber and my mother a psychopath murderer. I don't understand how the connection they shared, love, could be broken so easily. On top of that, I thought a mothers love for their child was supposed to be the strongest form of it. If that's the case why did she try and kill me after she shot my Father? Really, is love just an illusion? I'm starting to think so... Anyway, spent most of that morning laying in bed thinking. Got outta bed at like 6 or so made eggs in a basket again. They turned out a lovely golden color after I fried them, I made two because I was hungry. Had two glasses of orange juice to go with it, gotta say it was a yummy breakfast. After breakfast I cleaned everything up and tried to make some more potions to refill my stock from the orders of the other day. I couldn't focus, I couldn't take my mind off the dream. After actually failing to make three mana pots in a row I called it and decided to go outside to find something to distract me. It was a nice day, warm, a little cloudy, but still a nice day. I changed into my combat equipment, maybe I was expecting a fight or something. I walked down to the lake, the water was cool and refreshing, saw some fish swimming under the surface. Could probably catch a few for dinner if I felt like it. I walked though the woods that covered the area just off the cost line and eventually found myself on the shore of the ocean. It was a beautiful view as it always is, the sand was already warm from the sun. As I walked I came upon two level thirty Sahaugin Brutes, this was a fun fight. I took a couple hits myself but my level advantage and Astrsl Hypno won me the fight. I didn't get any drops which kinda sucks but working off the frustrating did make me feel better. But that wasn't the only trouble I got into that day, after a short walk I ran into a mimic. A Treasure Mimic actually, I gotta say getting pelted by gold coins is not a pleasant experience, didn't get any drops from that one either, guess I'm not lucky today. Once I killed the mimic I decided to head back feeling much better. The Mimic reminded me of Ridley, that cute Warden I met some time ago now. I wonder what she's been up to, probably playing with the kids still if i know her and getting yelled at for it. It was mostly an uneventful trip back, saw some seagulls fly over head nothing to really note. It was around lunch time when I made it back, I tended to my injures with a potion and some bandages and tossed my bloody clothes in the tub. I'll wash em tomorrow, after that was taken care of I decided to go find something to eat. I found left overs in the fridge from the other day. I decided to try my had at making stuffed shells, large pasta shells stuffed with cheese, sauce and other good stuff. The shells were a little under cooked but it turned out alright. After cleaning up I retired to the library for some study. I wanted to read up on the miasma realm and the creatures that dwell within. I was hoping to ask Midori if she wanted to take a trip through the fairy gate for a little fun and maybe a bit of experimenting. With the data we came up with on our last meeting I could probably use it to create better consumables for reducing corruption levels. The theory is, by introducing anima into a corrupted persons body it should drive the miasma out. It may not be pleasant but a direct injection of the stuff should be very affective, I'll have to give Midori a call and maybe Char, the monsters in the realm sound nasty from what I read. I worked straight through the afternoon to dinner and was famished by the time I quit. It took me a bit to decide what to make for supper. After much internal debate and munching on strawberries I decided to make a pizza. Pizza is something I can make, I know that. A little sauce, lots of cheese, some pepperoni, diced up sausage the mind you eat for breakfast, a little garlic and bake it for twenty or so minutes or until the crust is a golden brown. It turned out great and I even have left overs for tomorrow, totally happy about that. Maybe I'll have some for breakfast... I wonder who invented such a dish, maybe the Italians who knows. I doubt the library in Londunium would have that kind of information. After cleaning up the giant mess I made I retired to cleaning my equipment again. I scrubbed the blood from my robes and hung them inside to dry polished my sword so it doesn't rust, the usual stuff. I should have more than one set of robes made, so I'm not stuck if this set gets ruined or I don't find time to clean it. I wonder if Kumori is available. Once I finished all the maintenance I decided it was time for a soak in the baths. I'm still really glad I decided to add this bath, it's so relaxing. But at the same the house is a lot to take care of, more than I imagined. I think hiring a maid is going to be best, wonder where I'd find one. Maybe I can put up a request on the board in Londium and see if I get any takers. I hope it's a girl and she's cute, no that wouldn't be good id want to flirt with her if that was the case and that's not right. Maybe we could be friends though, I don't see any problems with that, it wouldn't hurt to have some company around the house and if she's cute even better I guess. After the bath I lounged around a bit and found myself thinking of Val, the Swashbuckler I met the other day in the woods. Nice girl, cute too, caught myself staring at we but I luckily turned it around so I think I got off the hook. We had a fun adventure that afternoon, and I got some decent practice in with my sword. We hung out for a bit killing lower level monsters getting her some AP for her main class. I attempted to cook us a meal out if the cow steak I got as a drop. It turned out okay for being so I'll prepared for such a situation. If I had brought some spices, even something like some pepper I could have made a better meal. But all I could do was make kebabs out of the meat and cook them over a spit on a fire, turned out alright. Anyway after that I got ready for bed, cleaned my teeth, brushed my hair and so on. Changed out of my normal clothes and here I am. Guess that's all I got for now." Shutting her book Lavinia places it on her bed beside her and puts her quill on the end table. Giving a big stretch Lavinia was ready for bed, if she had gone on much long she probably would have fallen asleep. Putting the cap on her ink, Lavinia tugs on her covers and pulls them up snuggly around her neck and drifts off almost instantly. Word Count: 1553 Tag: Notes:

Oh my look how time flies, February has come and gone already and Lavinia only has three entries, what a slacker. She hasn't really been busy lately, just kinda lazy. We all have our moments. Taking her book, quill and the ink from her nightstand, she takes them over to her bed and crawls under the covers pulling them up to her waste. Sticking the quill in the ink she puts pen to paper and begins her last entry for this month. "February 28th Year 1: Hey, been a good while yeah haven't really felt like writing anything recently. Not to much to tell either, which is boring. A break from excitement is good every now and then or so I'm told. I've gotten some stuff done since my last entry so I guess I'll get to them here in a bit. Woke up at my usual time today around 8am, got dressed in my white and pink dress and looked outside. Absolutely beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky so today, I decided it's time to go down to the ocean. It's nice how seasons aren't really a thing here, you can go swimming at the beach year round. Going out to get breakfast, I make scrambled eggs with diced wild onions, salt, pepper, garlic and some cheddar cheese all mixed in. Then I made some sausage to go with it and of course a glass of orange juice. I really am amazed how good I've gotten at cooking over the last few months. I wonder if I even rival kittygrey now, probably not but maybe she could come over and hang out so I can show off my new skills. She'd probably be nice and say I did really good. Maybe well just have to find out. This also reminds me, I wouldn't kind trying to make my own sausage one of these days. Maybe Kitty will know how, it can't be that hard right? They've been doing it for centuries so it should be easy, I'll have to stop at the library in Londium and see if they have a book about it. After breakfast I cleaned everything up and headed to my workshop. I had a order to fill, just a few health potions, tablets, Nighteye potions and a few other items for an adventure. I had the majority of his request already in stock, but ended up being short by five or so. So after finishing up his order I cleaned my mess up and headed into the kitchen. I had planned to spend the afternoon at the beach. So I'd need food and stuff for lunch, so I packed myself a decent lunch. Turkey and ham sandwich on whole wheat bread with Swiss cheese. I made two of those to go with the bushel of strawberries and a large container of water. Once lunch was packed I grabbed three towels and my red swim suit stuffed it all into my bags and headed out the door. The trip to the beach was pretty uneventful, saw a few monsters here and there. Another Crag Cow, some gross looking hornets, all of them ignored me though I'm to high of a level. It really is nice being able to just ignore more than half of the monsters around where I live. I remember the days when everything was a threat, how that simple garden snake almost killed me because of that stupid poison, I still hate snakes because of that. Bringing up that memory makes me miss being a summoner some what, I miss the summons. I still feel bad for not saying good bye, but if I did I probably wouldn't have been able to go through with the class change, I hate goodbyes. Anyway, I came out of the tree line right where I had hopped. At my special spot where I ran into Klide a few weeks ago. All traces of the fight had been erased by wind or rain, which is good since I'd rather not try and relax with Klide's blood soaked in the sand. I headed towards the water but stopped just short of the tides furthest point and set out my stuff. Laid a town down, stuck my sword into the ground so I could retrieve it quickly, and lastly put on my swim suit. It's kinda nice being able to change clothes with just a hit of a few buttons, or the old fashion way if you like. I really do like this suit, it's color scheme matches my hair, looks cute and even shows off my figure. Which I'm still coming to terms with being shown to the world, or just guys really. I mean it's embarrassing when girls look too but, I don't know how to explain it, I'm just shy I guess. Once the suit was on I looked around and didn't see a soul. This is why I love this spot, no one ever comes out this far and it's not far from home either. Deciding it was time, I went for a swim in the ocean. The water was kind of cold but I got used to it quickly. The water was clear as a crystal so I collected a few decent sizes shells and took them home. I out them on the shelf in the library. This thought me I need to work on how long I can hold my breath. Which shouldn't matter since I can just use a breathing potion, if I remembered to bring them, which I didn't. I took the shells back to my bags and decided to take a trip out to the sand bar where myself and Klide found that Brute. No luck he wasn't there, maybe he is some kind of rare spawn for that location or something. Once I got satisfied with jumping waves and diving through them I went back to shore to have lunch. The sun was pretty high in the sky at this point so it got warmer out, which I'm not complaining about. Sat on the towel and ate one is the sandwiches and most of the strawberries. Now I don't actually know if it's true or not but I don't really want to find out if swimming after you eat is bad so I decides to sun bath for a bit. I actually fell asleep like this for a bit, woke up I don't know how long after. I wasn't as red as a crab so I guess it wasn't that long and I wasn't dead so didn't get attacked either so that went well. I decides one more dip to cool off before I head back home. I really do love the ocean... On my way back to the house I stopped at the lake to rinse all the sand off my skin. The lakes waters were much colder than the oceans, it actually gave me goose bumps. The rest of the trip was uneventful with nothing really worth mentioning besides I kinds miss Ridley. Dropping all my dirty clothes and towels in a hamper I out a dress on and put the remaining food back in the fridge. I got back around 3pm or so, which gave me time to read some more. I decided to read for fun for once, I picked up a book written by a lander scribe last week. It tells a tale of two lovers who's family would never allow their relationship, pretty much Romeo and Juliet. It's a pretty good book so far considering I haven't read the original, I really should fix that. This version is rather said though, so is the original or so I've heard. Dinner rolled around a few hours later right when I was at the good part in the book. I don't know if anyone else is like this, I never asked, but I hate having to put down a book at the good parts. It's all I think about until I finish it. I decided on something simple, strawberry salad, the first meal Kitty made just for me. I do miss my big sis, haven't seen her in awhile. She's off with her new guild exploring some ruin or something. Anyway, the salad turned out really good, I made a giant bowl so I can have left overs for tomorrow. I really wouldn't mind having a maid to wash dishes. No I wouldn't make someone else do my dishes for me, wish someone would invent a dishwasher thought. After the cleaning was done I went got my book and headed for the bathes. I laid there for a good hour or two in the hot relaxing water just reading my book. I made sure to wash the salt from my skin and hair before I got out and retired back to the library to continue reading till I ended up here writing this entry. I guess that's really all I got for now, until next time." Lavinia smiled with satisfaction at her entry for today, she really didn't know why but she was happy with it. Her writing skills have improved since she started and she could tell, her handwriting has improved as well. Taking her journal and setting it on the night stand Lavinia puts the quill pen beside the journal and puts the lid on the ink. Sighing Lavinia burrows down and slides the covers up over her as she slowly drifts off into slumber. Word Count: 1584 Tag: Notes:

A new month, the month of March and Lavinia's first entry for this month shall be today. The enchantress has a story to tell today, she's been thinking about that day with Klide lately and wanted to get her thoughts out. Coming into her bed room in just a normal white t shirt, Lavinia walks over to her nightstand to retrieve her items. Her journal, her quill pen and lastly the ink and takes them over to her bed. Setting the ink down on top of the night stand and the book and quill down on the bed, Lavinia crawls into the bed and slides the covers up to her stomach. Opening the journal and dipping the quill in ink Lavinia puts pen to paper and begins this entry. "March 2nd Year 1 Hey, February has come and gone already, but that's to be expected. Since it's the shortest month out of the whole year because of the leap year thing. I've never actually learned why that is, I'll have to look into it. Anyway woke up kind of late today around 10 or so, guess I needed the extra sleep. Did my morning routine, clean my teeth, fix my bed head, clean my face the normal stuff. I had a simple breakfast today, oatmeal, a banana and some orange juice, mostly because I'm running low on food, I'll need to restock soon. Did I mention the oatmeal had little chunks of strawberries in it? It was yummy, I never thought I'd like oatmeal but after I tried it I liked it. I don't really want to eat it all the time, but once in awhile it's good. My morning was mostly more routine stuff, but today I tried something. I attempted to craft my first scribe item. I went in town the other day and stocked up on a whole mess of materials, ink, new quills, paper the whole shebang. It was kinda costly, but not like I don't have the money. First I made a few pieces is parchment paper, I failed the first few tries but after getting mad at it I got right, go figure. I also made a new quill pen, that I'm using right now actually to write this entry. The lines are much neater and crisp with this new quill, it's really nice. The quill was surprisingly easy to make, so I made a spare. I really do like the prospects of being a scribe, the possible items I can create are going to be insanely helpful. Anyway, Klide... The other day I met Klide at the beach where I like to go swimming at. I was surprised by this, but it was fine with me. Really, I felt bad for ditching him and everyone else so I wanted to meet up with him again eventually. Guess fate had a hand in this or something. We spent the day at the beach, swimming in the ocean, out to a small sand bar where we found a bunch of adorable baby turtles. I kind of wanted one for a pet, but I don't have time to take care of my house let alone a let too. That's when the trouble started, we some how aggroed a Brute and Klide thought we weren't going to be able to beat it so he tried to stall it so I could run and save myself. What's with guys and always trying to be the hero? I'm no damsel in distress or anything, to the contrary I stalled so he could get to shore and gather his weapons so we could kill it. The plan worked, shockingly enough, it was a gamble that's for sure. I didn't know how well of a fighter Klide was at the time and if he couldn't survive until I got there to help him we'd both be dead. Thankfully he held on just fine even if he did almost die. I brought him back here and patched him up in a rather embarrassing way, but at the time I really couldn't think of any other way. I really should have invented bandages or something awhile ago, saved me from having to kiss him to give him the health potion. I still haven't told him, I feel guilty about it, maybe I will next time I see him... Yeah... Anyway! After my first attempts in crafting something as a scribe, I went to the library to start a draft for a new research item. I really don't know if this is possible or not, but I want to try and invent a Grimoire with the spells contained within it are more than just adventure and class skills and the one basic attack. It's a spell book, why couldn't it do more? I have a couple ideas that I wrote in my notes in the margins. I put down, better attacks, a personal barrier to block attacks, maybe see if I can create some kind of buff spell with it, well have to see. I gotta say being a scribe is just as fun as pharmacist is. It was about time for lunch so I quit my exploration into scribe till after I had something to eat. I was in Londium the other day and I stopped by a shop to grab a bite to eat and saw they had home made chicken nuggets. Now normally I'm not one to eat fried food, I try to keep what I eat mostly healthy, but I do love chickens nuggets so that's what I decided to try and make. Got some chicken, diced it into chunks, mixed up a bowl of floor and spices for the breading and covered all the chicken chunks in the stuff. I didn't realize how quickly the chunks would fry because of their size but you know what, I make good home made chicken nuggets. I'm gonna have to ask Kitty about a sauce to dip them in, they were to good for just plane old ketchup. Maybe like what they dip shrimp in or something, great I want shrimp now... The clean up for this was a pain, breading your own chicken is messy, deep frying is messy as well. After the clean up was done I retired to the library to relax. I kinda felt like a beached whale after that meal it was great and I couldn't say no, I made to much I'll have to take note for next time. I worked a little bit on my new invention for an hour or so then I switched over to my Romeo and Juliet spin off that I mentioned in a previous entry. I really could go for some shrimp now, not to many to ruin my appetite tomorrow morning, maybe like five or so. Maybe I'll have to deep fry some breaded shrimp next time. That sounds really good too if I make dip to go with it. I'll have to see if there is a recipe for the dip in one of my cook books in the library. It probably won't have the same name as the one I can't think of right now but it should be obvious that it's what I'm looking for. You know what, grilled shrimp sound really good too, I need to see if Caer can make me a metal grate that I can put over a fire so I can grill things outside. That would be cool, invite the gang over for a cook out. Make all kinds of food outside on an open fire. For dinner tonight I made tacos, I was never a fan of the hard shell kind. I made two with lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers and of course cheddar cheese all wrapped up in a tortilla. I also made some white rice to go along with it, a simple meal but good either way. After all the dishes were cleaned and put away I grabbed my sword and headed for the roof. If my memory serves me right, tonight was one of the nights that Mars, our planet next door could be visible with the naked eye more clearly than normal. I didn't know if this world actually had a realistic solar system or not but I wanted to find out. I wast disappointed, after waiting for an hour or so I saw it. The pale red dot rising over the horizon, it made me wish I had a telescope so I could get a better view. The sky in this world is so clear, I swear you can see every star. After my star gazing venture was complete I decided it was time to take a bath and continue my star gazing from there since it's outside. I was kind of nervous about that bit when I requested it. Someone could find a way to peak in and see. But I got to hand it to the landers who built the house, they did an awesome job. While I was ready for bed when I finished my bath I didn't want to go to bed with wet hair so I went back to the library for a bit to look into maybe trying to make something else. I tried to make magic ink, but for whatever reason it was always coming out to thick and gloopy. I'll try and figure out why another time I guess. I messed with that until my hair was try and got ready for bed. Cleaned my teeth, brushed my hair again, changed into my pjs and here I am. Guess that's all I got for now though..." Lavinia snapped the book shut, she was ready for bed but she wanted to get this entry finished more. She's discovered that writing before bed actually helps her sleep. Let's her turn her mind off easier which is good in her case since that is actually kind of hard for her. Setting the quill on her end table along with the book she puts a cap on the ink and burrows down for a nice warm rest. Word Count: 1685 Tag: Notes:

As every time before, Lavinia comes out of her bathroom a towl draped around her neck wearing nothing but her underclothes. Just gettin out of the bath means she still has wet hair and going to sleep with wet hair is bad, so it's the perfect opportunity to write another entry. It's been like a week... What a slacker.... Reaching into her end table drawer Lavinia pulls out her usual notebook, a small jar of ink and her fancy new quill. Her quill, the sorcerer's quill is instead of having a white feather is red and imbued with magical properties, not like that would matter in a situation like this. Setting the ink on the table Lavinia carefully fills the quill with ink and slides onto her bed with quill and book in hand. The chilled sheets felt good against the young scribes skin even if it gave her goosebumps. Opening the book Lavinia flips through the pages of her journal, her entry count is getting there. But it's really nothing to be bragged about. It will be interesting to come back a year from now and read about what she wrote about. Finding the last unused page Lavinia takes her new quill , that she loves by the way, and puts pen to paper and begins this entry. "March 10th Year one It's been about a week hasn't it? Sorry about that, been kinds busy with crafting and stuff. Mostly with Aeryn's, my guild, leader leaving to go who knows where. But we'll talk about that later. Got up around my usual time, I didn't get dressed quite yet today. Walked around the house in my undies most of the day, it was just one of those days. Makes me glad I live alone for once, since it does get kinds lonely here by myself. Made breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, orange juice your typical breakfast and probably one of my favorites. Really I should just come out and say I love food in general. It's so good! I need to learn how to make a breakfast with strawberries in it. Maybe I can ask Kitty next time I see her. I'm sure she'll know of something, then she'll probably want to make it for me too. That girl would make me gain so much weight if we lived together... After breakfast and the clean up I thought I would continue reading my book about book biding that I borrowed from the library. It's a very informative book by an author called Desue or something like that. If your looking to learn about book making, I recommend it. It helped me learn how to make my new notebook that I use for every day note taking and for taking research notes. I read and studied the book for a couple of hours, lost track of time and all that. Before I knew it it was ten, I had planned to clean the house today so I put the book away and started cleaning. Swept the floors, dusted what I could, did the laundry you know, the normal boring stuff that I can never find time to do. I really should either make time or hire a maid to do it for me. Once I finished cleaning I felt all gross so i decided a quick bath was in order. Just to wash off all the dust and stuff I got on me while I was cleaning. Really need a maid for this... After the bath it was time for lunch. I made grilled cheese and tomato soup, a classic lunch from when I was young. My foster parents at the time would make it for me all the time, I still love it to this day. But I made mine a bit different. Along with the cheese, I added a bit of garlic powder and pepper between the bread slices. It is actually really good, if you like that sort of thing. I also had crackers to dip in the soup, along with the sandwich. I enjoyed it and cleaned up after, it didn't take long. Once that was done I decided to head into Londium to get some supplies. My stock of herbs and mana fragments is starting to run low. I've always bought my materials from a guild who focuses on the crafting aspect of this world. They allow me to buy in bulk for a discount, which is nice. I haven't been to the city in awhile, been mostly here at home or out in the wilds, it was nice. Ordering didn't take long, they have a very stream lined process for ordering so once that was out of the way, I had a lot of time left. I walked around town browsing through shops, picked out a cute new dress from Kunori's shop, bought a music box as well. The song it plays is beautiful and was the main reason why I decided to get it. The lander who took my order for my supplies said they'd need about two weeks to fill the order, which was fine plus they deliver so I can wait that long. After my shopping was done I passed by a ramen stand and got hungry, maybe it was the smell or maybe I was just actually hungry and didn't notice. But as soon as I got close I wanted some to eat. I wonder if they enchanted their food some how to make it really appealing, good ramen is appealing enough without it must be raking in tons of gold if that's the case. I had ordered ramen that I never had before, I don't remember the name but it had shrimp in it and it was delicious would go back and get more. I did order extra to take home with me, I had it for a late night snack before I washed up for bed. I'm probably gonna regret it tomorrow morning when I feel like I haven't ate in years but oh well, it was tasty. By this point in the day it was starting to get late, I needed to start finding a ride home. I live far away do the trip can take a bit and you can only teleport once, one way. Really is an inconvenience, wish an alchemist would make some sort of teleport device or something. Anyway I found a ride, paid him and off we went. It took a bit to get home and by the time I did, it was already dark. I guess now is a good time to vent about Aeryn. Caer and Kumori just up and disappeared, left a note saying good bye and that Tobin was in charge. He has the guild permissions to prove it. So why'd they leave? Well they didn't say, just the note and it didn't say anything of use. Maybe they're sick of the guild life or maybe someone made them mad? I don't know, guess I'll have to find a new blacksmith and tailor now. I really do like all the clothes Kumori made me... I have nothing against Tobin, but I don't think I'm going to like what Aeryn will become under his leadership. So, I guess I could leave maybe to join Kitty in her guild. But is that where I should go... I could go join Apoc since they're like Aeryn in many ways or maybe start my own guild. That could be a interesting experience, but I wouldn't make a guild like Aeryn or Apoc. I'd make a guild that focuses on crafting to better the world, kinds like I hope my crafting does. At least a little... Anyway, once I got home I put the ramen in the fridge for later and didn't really know what to do. It was to early to go to sleep, but to late to start something new. Then I thought about practicing my sword skills, didn't have anything else to really do so that's what I did. Changed into one of my dresses and headed outside into the moon lit night. It was a beautiful night, you could still see everything because the moon was so bright, once your eyes adjusted of course. I practiced swinging and my stances, pretending I was fighting someone so I could work on the flow of my attacks, it seems pretty effective it's relaxing too. After my practice season, I was hungry again. Like I mentioned earlier, I decided to have the ramen for second dinner. Heated it up on the stove, I gotta say though, it's pretty good reheated. There was little mess from the meal so it was quick to clean up and after I took a bath. A nice hot probably to hot bath with this new strawberry scent liquid you add to the bath. Yes, I smell like strawberries now and it's awesome. After my bath I put on my clothes I have on now, threw a towel around my neck so I don't get everything wet and here I am. I really do love smelling like strawberries..." Done, Lavinia shuts the journal and looks out the window of her room. The trees outside are eliminated by the still bright moon. It must be a full moon for it to redirect so much light from the sun. Stretching over Lavinia sets her notebook and quill on the end table and gives a giant stretch. It was time for bed, taking the towel from around her neck Lavinia rolls it up into a ball and tosses it towards her hamper. Perfect shot, Lavinia should have been a basketball player, if she was taller... Crawling under the covers, Lavinia hits the lights and pulls the blankets up to her neck and burrows down for the night. Word Count: 1634 Tag: Notes:

Just another day in paradise right? Lavinia had a long day and so she was very ready to crash for the night but first a nice bath. Once she finished she came out of her bathroom in her nighty outfit retrieved her journal and opened it to the next empty page. Sliding onto her bed Lavinia fights the urge to curl up and pass out, she really wanted to catalog today's events. "April 12th Year One I've been up since yesterday morning, it was a normal day. Got up, had pancakes and bacon for breakfast, made a bit of a mess so I cleaned up and was ready to begin the day. A few days prior I received a small set of very rare books from a team of explorers, these books contained ancient Alv texts. I didn't know how to read Alv, so as soon as I was set I headed to the largest library I knew, the one in Londium. I hired a carriage to take me, I wanted to get the books I needed before noon and I did. The Librarian was incredibly nice with helping me find the tomes and there were many. I even saw my old friend Balore, that was cool I haven't seen him in ages. We even went and had lunch to catch up, he seemed to be doing well for himself. He really didn't change after all this time and that made me smile. Meeting Balore threw a wrench in my plan, a welcome wrench for a change. But I made it back home not to long after my expectation, which I was happy about. With my bags full of books I set off to work on trying to decode and understand the ancient Alv in my newly aquired book. I had borrowed every language based book they had and any book even remotely related to the Alv, let's just say I'm glad I don't actually have to carry all these books. I didn't really have any clue how to decipher a language, but I had an idea. Most nautically occurring languages have a base inspiration, something early on in the cultures development that influenced them. A great example would be already existing societies. I got to work right away and started studying the different written languages in the books I borrowed. I got to say, written language as a whole is a lot more complex than I originally imagined. As I studied these languages I actually started to recognize some similarities between them and real world languages. Once I started to get a basic grasp on the first language I tried comparing it to the written text in the Alv books. I made no real progress, there were very few similarities, but I wrote them off as human error, after all I didn't know what I was doing. I had been at it for a few hours and so I thought it would be a nice time for a break. You know, get up stretch, get a snack and all that. It helps avoid headaches when your reading for long periods. Once I was ready I started again, this time I studied the written language of the Dwarves. Much like the race that created it, the written language was very sturdy I guess is a way to describe the impression it gave me. It just screamed that the Dwarves made it. But just like before, small similarities but nothing significant. All throughout the night I worked on trying to realize a pattern in the text that would offer some clue, anything at all that could be a possible starting point to translating the texts into a known language. I went through three more of the major dominate languages and had the same results, complete blind to the pattern staring me in the face. It was at this point I started to get hungry, I can't focus when I'm hungry so I decided to take a break for dinner. I decided to try something a bit different, kittygrey my friend is from japan. She made me rice balls the other day and I wanted to try it myself. Then just to go with it I made some chicken and diced it up into small bite size pieces with peppers and other greens and fried it. It all turned out really well, the rice balls were a little dry but I don't think it was to bad for my first blind try. Telling this story reminds me, I've never actually cooked for her yet , I'll have to fix that. Anyway after cleaning up the mess, I went outside for a few moments of fresh air then went right back to work. I decided on the Fox Tail language next, a lot of assumes high pitches noises seem to be common in their early history. I wondered if that was because they were dependancies of foxs. This was when the pattern started to click, the pattern that the Alv language is the forebear of all the languages that came after them. A truly fascinating find. So I started over, going through all the books I had writing down the similarities this portion of the work took a very long time. So much so they before I knew it it was already dawn. I continued to write down everything through breakfast and into lunch. I was onto something, I could taste it. So I grabbed an apple, banana and some strawberries and ate them while I worked. It was around three PM or so when I completed making my reference sheet and was finally ready to start my attempt at translating the Alv books I have acquired. Cross referencing each symbol was pain staking work that was tedious but kinda fun. The allure of discovering something great gave me the drive to keep going. After getting the hang of this I managed to complete a small paragraph that kind of made sense. It read "weld animus shield protect kin against Kuraq" I don't know what a Kuraq is but it sounds like the book is a tome to record Alv spells, not all that different than modern day Grimoires. If my theory is correct, I may be able to revive some of the lost spells in this tome and use them like any spell. I'm going to attempt to do so after I translate more of the tome, I'm curious just how much knowledge is within the covers of this page." Giving a giant stretch Lavinia is very ready for bed. Closing her journal and setting it aside she climbs under her covers and falls sleep quickly to the thoughts of what wonders she'll discover within the pages of her tome. Word Count: 1127 Tag: Notes:
