A mild itch was irritating Fubuki one cloudy day in Londinium. Although the vestiges of winter were all but gone, a slight chilly wind swept in the city. Clad in his starter clothes, Fubuki then realized how it felt untidy for him not to change clothes within a very long time, even though the auto-clean function of his body here in this world was working flawlessly on him and there should be no superficial stains on his body right now. He also never got to worry about the bacteria that should be inexistent here in this world where the only causes of death should be either accidental, man-made, poisoning, or old age. But for Fubuki, who bathed three times a day and constantly changing clothes every time he bathed, these habits were hard to change. A bath should be possible, since he had seen some public baths in the area, and there were some landers and adventurers who sell all sorts of clothing in the marketplace. Bathing in the public baths should be tolerable, but the clothing that was sold in the marketplace was too expensive for him. But, as he noticed, the materials for crafting were either too cheap or too commonly dropped in the field for the prices for the clothing to be very expensive. But when he was thinking to grind blindly just to get the gold needed to purchase the clothes that he wanted to wear, he remembered that he had the tailoring subclass. Fubuki was relieved, now that he had this subclass to begin with, he should be able to make everything what he wanted to wear, just that he needed a starting point on what to do. He then sat down on a chair and began to think what he would craft first, which, of course, should be the most basic custom outfit for him. But he did not want to start with something very basic, but he would delve into the easiest outfit that he could conceptualize, yet very good to look at. Since winter was drawing to a close, he should think of something that should not be that warm to wear, but would make him somewhat elegant. Something sleeveless and thin, but not sacrificing layers of clothing which Fubuki liked, although limiting the layers to two thin ones. And so he thought of a buttoned shirt under a tailcoat of the same color and cloth. And then basic cloth trousers and footwear somewhat apt for the trousers. That should do the job: a casual outfit with the elements of a formal one, the trademark style of a performer. He then took some measurements of his body, and when he had finished on that, he then went to the marketplace to purchase the things he needed. When he returned to where he had stayed for the month, he then accounted everything he bought from the marketplace. He counted one bolt of white silk, a spool of white thread, and an assortment of materials about the same cost as the bolt of silk, which included two yards of thin pinstriped cotton, half of a whole patch of tanned leather, some slabs of natural rubber, and an assortment of buttons and belt buckles. This should be a long day for Fubuki to start tailoring, as he cast the spell "Showtime!" on himself to motivate him on his quest to make an outfit for himself. COMMENTS

Now motivated to the hilt, Fubuki then started to work on the outfit. The items in the outfit he was making should include a white sleeveless shirt with black buttons, a white sleeveless tailcoat with short tails, white-pinstriped black trousers fastened by a white belt, and black knee-high leather boots with white rubber soles fastened with white buckled straps. Well he should have gone with a pure white set, but since there is no white cloth for the trousers he decided to buy the nearest he could get to white, and then designing this, and the shoes that he deliberately changed in color, in order to force some sort of a pattern in his outfit. In that concept he succeeded: he now planned a white outfit fading to black from top to bottom. He thought that it should not be bad. Now it should be the time to start to make the outfit, and Fubuki laid out the massive bolt of lowest-quality silk on the table. The way the silk cloth was made was very shoddy, with some fibers sticking out here and there, but since he bought this silk for such a very low price he could not complain much. The only thing that he could do was to make sure that when he trimmed every fiber sticking out it would not endanger the fabric as a whole. He then continued in placing a template on top of the fabric to place an outline on the fabric to prepare it to be cut with a pair of scissors to the desired piece. Once he was finished, he then laid out the tentative pieces of cloth on the table while he was imagining the piece of clothing that he should create. At that time he was creating the buttoned-up shirt, and that should be just one of the four garments that he would be creating. But he thought that he had all of the time in the world at his disposal, and so he needed to make the best outfit possible given the low quality of the materials at hand right now. After getting a rough idea on what should be done, he then started to sew the parts together. Given the low quality of the thread, it should be likely that the stitches might be broken up immediately, but Fubuki was confident that it would take a long time until that should happen, given how well the stitches he had done, which should be comparable with how machines do them. After hours of painstaking work on stitching the parts together, adding buttons, and sewing up the seams, the shirt was completed. He then set his hands on the sleeveless tailcoat, which should be the same in construction as the buttoned shirt, except for the needed semblance of layering on the tailcoat. It was in the early afternoon when he finished the tailcoat, and then he tried the two of them on. It was a perfect fit so far for him, and it seemed like he could do it. The next in line should be the trousers, and he then laid the pinstriped cloth on the table. He had to make sure that the pinstripes would be parallel to his legs, or else it would be a disaster for him. He then laid his template carefully on the cloth, making sure that the pinstripes would all run all the way along his legs, and when he had successfully done that in all three parts of the trousers, he sighed in relief. He then stitched all the parts of the trousers together, and then making a fly for the trousers out of the remaining pieces of the fabric in order to conceal the mechanism in which should be opened when taking a leak. It was night when he had finished the trousers, and when he tried it on, it was a perfect fit. So far, three of the four items of the outfit were complete; all that was left should be the belt and the knee-high leather boots. In preparation for this, he dyed the leather with two different colors and then left them to dry. All pieces of leather fit for the insole as well as some pieces of tough leather were dyed white, while a large piece of tough leather was dyed black. He then moved to his bed and slept. Hopefully the dyed pieces of leather should be ready the next day. COMMENTS

When Fubuki woke up he then set his focus on making the belt and the boots. The belt was much easier for him to make, as he only needed to cut out one long segment of each type of soft and hard leather, which were both of the white color, and then stitch them together, and then make a hole near the end of the completed belt to attach the buckle to it. He then folded the end where the buckle was, stitched it to secure the buckle, added the slot where the belt would pass through after the buckle, and then placed some holes from a third of the belt length all the way to two-thirds of the belt length. He then did the same with the straps of the boots that he would make later, only that they would be smaller than the belt that he had created. He then set his work on the boots. Fortunately he had made for himself a makeshift last using some scraps of wood based on the dimensions of his feet beforehand, and so he did not have to worry about how would he make the boots using his feet as the reference. He then laid out the templates for the boots that he would be making over each type of leather: the white soft leather for the interior of each boot, and the black tough leather for the exterior. After stitching the smaller belts to the exterior on their perceived position on each boot, he then stitched the interior and the exterior together. He then took the slabs of white natural rubber and then, using the template of the insole as a reference, sculpted them into the outer soles for the boots, which were one-quarter inch thick, and heel lifts of half inch thickness. And then, attaching the insole to the last, he then shaped the leather upper on it, and then, taking a strip of the tough leather which should be flexible enough, he cut it up into two pieces and then stitched it on each leather upper to serve as their welts, and then, after adding the mid-sole of cork, he then glued the outer sole and the leather upper together, and then stitched them together by the welts. He then took each lift, placed them under the outer sole in their respective places, and then hammered them in place with some tacks. After some more finishing on each boot, after half a day of work, the last piece of the outfit was completed. Not it was time to try the whole outfit on. He then unequipped every clothing to his inventory, leaving him with only his underwear. He wore the trousers first, buttoning up the opening in the middle concealed by the fly; and then fastened the white belt which should be for design purposes only since the trousers were a perfect fit on his body. He then wore the boots next, which fit snugly to his legs and feet; but he wondered, as he fastened the belt of the boots, if he could wear it off when the time came. But he thought he should wonder about that in the real world. And then he wore the sleeveless shirt, and then buttoned it up, and found it somewhat snug-fitting but he felt some sort of a chill as if he was still half-naked. Well he designed it for the warmer weather so it should be the outcome. Finally, he put on the tailcoat, which did not seem to alleviate the cool feeling that he was experiencing. As he posed at the front of a mirror, he then examined every bit and detail of the outfit. Although the outfit might have been somewhat poorly made, he thought that it should be enough for now. At least any inconsistencies were not that obvious right now, and he was content with this outfit for now. COMMENTS Here should be the inspiration for the outfit!
