“I know that Saskia asked me to help her out with teaching some of the other members of her guild but I never expected for her to ask me to teach a sorcerer.” Steel said to himself with a bit of a sigh. “What’s more, she got us on a mission to practice right off the bat too. Should I really be trying to teach a person of the magic class?” He was helping out his friend and student Saskia who was the guild master of a rather infamous guild by helping her teach some of the new members of her guild. I wonder whether he’ll be able to notice me in the first place? Steel wondered to himself about the person he was going to be teaching today. It had nothing to do with memory or how close they were, Steel simply put had an extremely low presence. Once in the real world, a person had sat next to him in the cafeteria and didn’t notice him for at least 15 minutes at which point Takeshi spoke up and shocked everyone nearby. It wouldn’t be surprising if he didn’t notice him. In fact, the only time someone would definitely notice him is if his Courtesan skill activated. Steel had reached the meeting spot and decided to sit down on a nearby bench to rest a bit. Earlier, he had spent an hour or two out in the fields hunting so he needed to rest a bit while he waited for the sorcerer named Fubuki. After a bit, the person he had been waiting for had come but it seemed it was as he guessed that he wouldn’t be noticed as he just stood in wait, probably thinking that the Swashbuckler hadn’t arrived yet. Then again, they haven't ever met before and he only found out from the status bar. Steel then stood up and walked over to him. "You Fubuki? Saskia asked me to help out in training you. I'm Steel, a Swashbuckler." Words: 334 Fubuki

Fubuki was happily strolling through the marketplace one fine morning. He had told the headmaster about his specialty as a spell fencer, and then she suggested him to be trained alongside one of the external professors. It was rumored within the academy that this particular external professor was a master of swords, and so he would learn a lot from him, especially when it came to swordfighting. As a spell fencer, it was important for him to master techniques with the sword since his skills were focused on enchanting weapons, and so he needed to connect a hit on the enemy in order for the enchantment to work. And so the techniques on placing a hit on the enemy was badly needed, and Fubuki had only little knowledge about that, and so he needed someone to teach him the needed steps in directing a hit to the enemy. But Fubuki wondered about what might the external professor look like. They have not met yet, so he was not sure about how he looked like when they would meet each other. He then thought of what might be the looks of the professor. Maybe the age was around 20, 30, even 40. The build might be of the medium build for some agility, since the headmaster might have noted that being agile would decrease the chances of being hit. The facial features might be battle-hardened so that no one would dare underestimate the swordsman in any fight, creatures or players alike. The gender might be male or female, but gender would not matter. But, as Fubuki thought, he would just know the professor when they would meet. And so he decided to continue walking towards the meeting place. But where he was right then was actually the meeting place where the mentor and the student would meet, and Fubuki was too late when he noticed that he would be bumping into someone. Fubuki tumbled on the ground, holding the front of his body in pain. "Ouch..." he said with a slight pain to his buttocks as well as his chest, and then he saw a young man clad in black clothes in front of him. He might not have heard what the young man, who should be the external professor, might have said to him, but he quickly stood up and said to the young man, bowing profusely in apology, his face reddened with shame on himself, "I'm sorry about bumping you, sir! I was just deep in my thoughts so I have not noticed you in front of me! I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He also bowed at the same times as he said the word "sorry". It seems that even after he had called out to the person, it seems he didn’t notice until he bumbed into the Swashbuckler himself at which point he started apologizing. Steel was not expecting to have to deal with this sort of person. A little boy that practically looked like a kid and if the captain of the basketball team Steel used to be on back in the real world were here, he’d say that this kid was an ‘apologetic mushroom’, whatever that meant. Well, although he didn’t know what the mushroom part meant, Steel would definitely agree with the apologetic bit. This kid started apologizing the moment he saw the Swashbuckler. Steel was actually getting a bit annoyed about it. “First off, you don’t need to apologize so much!” He exclaimed before going back to his normal tone of voice. “People are going to get annoyed when a person apologizes too much. Also, it’s unnecessary.” Steel just had to get some things off his mind so he just said what was on his mind. He could tell what he just said was somewhat rude and possibly intimidating so he decided to make his tone gentler. “Anyway, my former student Saskia just asked me to help train one of the members of her guild but I don’t exactly know what you need training for. Mind telling me before we start? And also, don’t call me ‘sir’, it’s way too formal and stiff. I have a name you know, it’s Steel.” Words: 250 Fubuki

As he was scolded by the professor, Fubuki just hung his head as he listened to his words. Sure, he had to heed the professor's words and tone down his repeated apologies, but sometimes he could not help but do so. Sometimes fear drove him to apologize to a person repeatedly. But, since a person might be irritated by that action, he must take that in mind. Maybe some person might be irritated more by the repeated apologies than someone bumping into him. Fubuki was about to apologize again because of the repeated apologies, but it might end up irritating the person more, and so he refrained from that. He then redirected his focus to the true reason he sought training with a swordsman: he needed some techniques with which to hit his target so that his enchantment would not be put to waste. He then started, "I went to the headmaster to inquire about someone who could improve my skills in swordfighting. Although I am a sorcerer, I needed to fight in melee range so that my spells would work." He then grasped the sword that was sheathed on his waist. By its quality alone, one could surmise that it was the starter sword that was handed to new players. "I had a spellblade build, and was confident before that I could hit my targets, but now I'm not so sure since I had not been fighting for a long time." He then stared at the face of the professor, determination in his eyes. "Could you teach me on how to effectively use a sword, Steel?" After he finished scolding the young boy, Steel felt he overdid it a little. “Okay, I might have overdone the little lecture there. Sorry about that.” He said in apology and in a much less stricter tone of voice. “Just remember that you don’t have to apologize for everything. You act as if you owe everyone on the face of the earth an apology. Don’t worry about it too much and relax a little.” It was then the boy stated his reason for wanting a teacher. He began explaining how he was a spell blade type, a person who used both magic and swordsmanship in combat. In short, he wanted Steel to teach him how to use a sword and use it in combat, possibly alongside magic. Steel then began to glance at Fubuki’s weapon. It was obviously a sword for beginning players and Steel wondered whether this boy knew how to use this thing in the first place. “Sure, I’ll teach you. Saskia already asked me to anyway.” Steel said in response. “First off, let’s go to a training area, I want to see what you can do already.” He then began to lead Fubuki towards a spot he knew of. Along the way, if Fubuki noticed it, he would see that nobody had really noticed Steel. Being a professor, even an external one would mean that they have a great amount of skill or knowledge in some form and usually people like that exude a certain presence. However, it would seem as if Steel didn’t have such a presence. Steel was used to this by now and has even used it to his advantage in basketball and such back in the real world. Even here, he had found some uses for it. Pretty soon, the two of them had reached the training area. Steel had put away the two swords currently on his back and put them back into his inventory. He then summoned one of the basic swords he had gotten when he just started the game. It was the same level of quality as the sword Fubuki had. “Now then, attack me in any way that you like, I want to test you first before I determine how to teach you.” He then got into a certain stance, one that was based off a normal kendo stance. However, his left foot was half a body in front, his waist was lowered, and the sword in his right hand was held downwards with its tip nearly touching the floor. His left hand seemed as if it was only touching the handle for appearance's sake. Although there was a rather obvious opening, it didn't feel easy to take advantage of. That stance felt like it was the product of many years of experience. There were two reasons why he chose this stance. First, this was one of the stances he was more comfortable in and second, he wanted to see how Fubuki would react to such an irregular stance which differed from what it was originally based on.
