District: Yellow Location: Downtown Time: - Morning (March) - Afternoon (April) - Evening (May)
The lights throughout the Yellow District shine around the clock, only finally rivaled in radiance by the rise of the sun. The magical nightlife of the city subsides as it starts to look just like any urban landscape. Eccentric buildings and monuments stand in juxtaposition, as though crafting minds constantly engage in creative warfare. You find yourself at the district downtown center, just right outside the Saffron Studio, as another day of entertainment begins.
Carve out your future and make a name for yourself.
This is a general RP thread much along the lines of the Snowdonia Winter Ball and the Coconia Festival threads. RPing within this subforum awards all participants a +10% AP bonus that will last throughout the spring season (3/14/15 ~ 5/31/15). At the start of the summer season, this bonus will be lifted and a new summer-themed thread will be started in its place.
Characters of all factions are allowed to participate in this thread.

The petite Assassin stepped into the Yellow District and an awed expression settled upon her face, like it always did whenever she visited, but she quickly struggled to compose herself into a polite and confident young woman. Evelyn was dressed in a slightly nicer version of her normal attire. Her black dress was clean and rumpled, on her feet were a small pair of simple black kitten heels, and her blonde hair was tied up into a neat bun. She had unequipped her long sword for the time being and only had her dagger strapped to her thigh, partially hidden by the hem of her dress. There was no need to be fully armed in the Yellow District, but there was nothing wrong with being safe. The young woman didn't have much, but she presented herself as one who would live in the Yellow District, someone who is proud of their art whether it was singing, acting, or dance, like Evelyn. Though the girl was wearing only black, she tended to blend in with the night crowds better than the morning, but either way, very few people often thought she was out of place.
The downtown area was rather quiet and still compared to the loud and lively aura a night in the Yellow District, but it was not empty. People were buzzing around the area, grabbing some lunch or heading to Saffron Studio. There were various conversations floating around the area as the citizens of the District began to socialize, catching up with one another. It was a soothing contrast from the dark silence that sometimes lingered in the Black District after a bad night. But this day was not one that was meant for Evelyn to dwell upon the problems of her District, but instead for her to enjoy herself in a place that felt like a second home.
The girl started walking toward the majestic looking building and smiled up at the beautiful golden lion that greeted her as she entered the building. Instinctively, Evelyn made her way around the facility and peeked into a few dance studios, checking the schedules of occupancy. When the girl spotted an empty practice room, she entered and locked the door behind her to prevent other people from disturbing her. The Assassin sighed in relief and looked around the room. It was a standard rectangular shaped practice room with mirrors on three of the four walls. Each wall with a mirror had a wooden bar that was a bit higher than her hip. Evelyn smiled, satisfied with the room and begun to stretch out her muscles that were tight from the long hours of working in her forge.
When she was all stretched out, the girl removed her cloak and walked over to the music player and tapped it, letting a random song play through the sound system of the room. Evelyn free styled to the song and warmed herself up before getting serious about dancing. As the first song finished, the Assassin changed the song to the one she was working on. She had been choreographing a dance to the song that held a deep meaning to the young woman. It was her story, the one about her mother, about her own life in the Black District, about all the pain she had seen, but also all the happiness and beauty the District had brought her, and of course, her love for dance.

After spending the entire afternoon in the small studio, Evelyn placed her cloak back on and left the practice room and leisurely walked around the large facility and floated through the music sector of the building where music could be constantly heard through the walls. The Assassin lingered there for a short while before following the crowds to another sector, the visual arts. The petite woman followed some people into a colourful area where the walls were beautifully painted and designed, but her eyes were not drawn to the colourful walls but by the artists who presented their art to the people passing by. Some were exceptionally well done in Evelyn's opinion, while others seemed to be alright. Many different kinds of visual arts were on display; sculptures, paintings, hybrids of paintings and sculptures and many more that the young woman couldn't name.
Some people purchased some works while others, like Evelyn, simply observed everything with a simple smile. Soon, the group moved on from what many people called the Artist's Alley, and headed to Evelyn's final destination before heading home. Evelyn broke off from the group she was previously following and entered a one of the Studio's largest theaters where all kinds of performance artists where displaying their art. She settled down in one of the seats in the back corner of the theater and waited for the show to start. The young woman had always dreamed of performing on a stage of the famous Saffron Studio, but performing on the largest theater was pretty far and she would be ecstatic if she ever got the opportunity to perform at any one of the many theaters in the Studio.
As people began to trickle in from the entrance of the theater and soon the lights began to dim, signalling the start of the show, and the Master of Ceremonies took to the stage. He introduced today’s event and performances, and then left the stage as the first act stepped on. The first half of the performance was mainly musical performances with people singing or playing instruments, before theatrics performances and dances took the stage. They alternated between dance performances and short plays, and ended with combining all performance arts for a short musical performance, which to Evelyn’s opinion, was spectacular.
Then the audience began to file out of the theater, or rather squish out all at once, and the Assassin simple stayed in her seat and waited for the people to disappear into the night and watched people clean up the large stage for a performance tomorrow. When the theater was close to being empty, Evelyn stood up and made her way out of the large theater and left the Saffron Studio, stepping back into the downtown area of the District. She looked up into the sky and noticed that the sun was just about to disappear into the horizon, indicating a long way before midnight. She might as well stay until midnight, as the District gets busier and livelier, something that never happens in the Black District, unless something bad happened. So Evelyn shrugged her shoulders and sat down on to the steps of Studio and took in the bubbly environment of the Yellow District.
