Haseo seemed to have gotten off the hook after walking into Dumah. The very same person had asked about the group, which Haseo now assumed he was a part of. He shrugged, looking away as if attempting to track some far off object after the others introduced themselves. "Haseo, Swashbuckler. Artisan Acrobat." After a moment, Haseo decided it would be beneficial to be more social. He tensed slightly, before adding; "Nice to meet you. I guess you could say I have a little experience." That was a lie. Haseo had much more experience than he let on, and though he never died before himself, he did know that what Dumah said about being revived prior to the incident being true. The question of whether the same would apply plagued him, however. He noticed the figure named Kuro fade into the shadows, though only out of the corner of his eye, before the figure was indistinguishable.
Though taking comfort in the fact that the one named Katarina seemed shy, perhaps even more so than himself, Haseo still maintained a distant air about him. The thought of having this much people to watch his back comforted him too, and without knowing, he smiled. "Some scouting sounds good." He nodded. Haseo could relate to how Dumah felt about being responsible for their lives. Haseo had no doubt that he could take care of himself, however, he had never been in a group before, and the same feeling of responsibility crept over him. He silently promised to himself that he would give his life rather than any harm coming to them, putting on a determined face unconsciously infront of the others.
Out of habit, Haseo urged himself to move slightly, confirming the security of his starter weapon that still rested on him, a familiar feeling that he would have to get more used to, for he had the feeling he would have to do so for a while. Namely for the duration of being stuck in Elder Tale. Haseo gave the group such a warming smile that it completely differed from his seemingly loner attire, though complimenting his innocent and hear-piercing eyes. "It's on my hands too, if anyone gets hurt. So don't count on it." Realising his timely reaction, Haseo quickly looked away shyly, pursing his lips in a nervous manner. Running a hand along his sword, Haseo averted his gaze back to the group, awaiting a reply that would settle what decision was to be made.

Dumah nodded. "All right, it would seem we are all in agreement then." With that, Dumah tapped at the air, going through his menus and inviting each person to a party. "Let us just go a bit out to see if we are still capable of fighting, or if there are even any monsters still about in the wilderness." Dumah hoped all would go well, and he rested his hands on this hips near his sheathed sword and dagger, awaiting everyone to accept the party invite. "If anything goes wrong, I want you all to feel free to turn tail and run away from anything that may overpower us. There is no shame in fleeing from a fight you cannot win. Lastly, I want you all to promise me you will not die out there." The sun was high, and it seemed the early evening was upon them. This seemed like just as good a time as any to head out. The wind was strong enough to provide a nice, cooling breeze, and the sun was warm enough to keep that breeze from keeping anything too cold. The day felt perfect for adventure.

After everyone intorduced themselves (Except me tho, but nobody seems to be bothered... good.) Dumah told them that they can flee if we get into some big trouble. (Or we could just pull 'em... also I will not be in such a need of running when I'm a ranged assassin) Then he also made them promise that they will not die. (Yeah right, like if it comes to that we will be able to stop it... although I wonder how combat works now.) As they went outside the city, they passed a lot of confused and scared people, but Kuro didn't really make a big deal out of it. (They will get over it... hopefully.) He was more curious 'bout his new "comrades". Walking behind them, watching them and trying to figure out their personalities. Dumah seems to be thinking and caluclative rather then smashing everything in his way, which was a trait Kuro respected. He also looks like nothing ever bothers him, which intrigued Kuro. Katarina seemed like a shy girl who couldn't hurt a fly. (Though she did say she usualy playes as an assassin. Well, now I'm not sure if she is what she seems to be.) Haseo also seemed kinda shy or just not talkative, but also like a good kid/man. Also Kuro liked his style of dark colours. (It is gonna be interesting to see how this group will turn out.)[Word count: 237 Tags:@bornfromvelvet @dumah Haseo Note: I am sorry for my shi**y writing skills, I hope it will get better the more I will write here.]

"Alright, it would seem we are in agreement then." Dumah nodded, inviting the small group to a party. Katarina quickly accepted the invite, and looked at the shadowed assassin, secretly grinning. 'Well then, time to find out who you are...' she thought as she discretely brought up her menu, navigating to "Party". "'Kuro', huh?" she muttered under her breath, quickly closing the menu. No one seemed to notice, however. While she was doing this, Dumah added that everyone was free to run if everything went to hell. '...If anything goes wrong, I'm taking that offer.' she thought, looking at the party she had found herself with.
Well, it could've been worse, she supposed. Still, she would've much preferred being stuck with her old party. "Checkmate", they called themselves. They played all the time on the Japanese servers. Of course, they didn't gain as much notoriety as the fabled Debauchery Tea Party, but they were respected all the same. How was her group, actually? She knew that they weren't in the game with her, they all had various reasons why they couldn't get the expansion at launch, but what must they be thinking? God, actually, what must her dad be thinking right now, with his son (now daughter) gone? She sighed. 'And now I've depressed myself. Great.'Looking to get her mind off of the depressing subjects, she looked at her current party, analysing them as she did so. Dumah seemed to have become the de facto "leader" of the party, calling the shots. Well, it made sense she supposed. Haseo was too shy, and Kuro was way too quiet. Plus, there was no way in hell that Kat would put herself in charge of everyone. If something went wrong, she didn't want it to be on her head. Anyway, back to Dumah. He seemed to be rather eloquent, never using contractions, and rather calm, seemingly not freaking out at all about getting put into Elder Tale. 'Those are two good qualities to have in a leader' Kat thought. He does seem a little too eager for this little adventure, but hey, she would be lying if she said that she wasn't a little excited too. Her gaze shifted over to the other Swashbuckler in their group, Haseo.
Haseo seemed to be just as shy and awkward as her, well, as shy as her current façade anyway. This... could actually work for her. As long as she keeps up her act, Haseo could become more comfortable around the rest of the group, or, well, at least more comfortable around her. Either way, Kat counts it as a win. He seemed to have at least a little experience in Elder Tale, so that's always good. Really, the only downside about Haseo is that he seems to be a bit of a loner. Speaking of loners...
Katarina looked away nervously as Kuro's eyes scanned the group. She smirked internally. 'So, he's doing what I'm doing. Going over facts and checking everyone's personality. Smart.' She had to admit, that got him some points in her book. 'The question is if he's doing it just so he can get to know us better, or if he's doing it to get a leg-up on us.' Not that she'd know anything about the latter, no, no of course not... okay, who was she kidding, she was trying to find some flaws. Even if they're her allies, she would prefer to have some advantage over them. 'I don't think he's figured out I'm faking my shyness, so that's always good. Speaking of which, I need to make sure I don't drop my cover at any moment.' she thought. Normally, it wouldn't be that big of an issue, but Kuro seemed... guarded, to say the least, and she didn't want to give him any reason to distrust her. Plus, the reasons with Haseo that she already mentioned contributed to her keeping her guise.
Deciding to stop psychoanalysing her party, Katarina turned her eyes to the people in the town. Everyone in said town was in a state of understandable panic, including the NPCs, or "People of the Land", as they were known in the game. She raised an eyebrow. The Landers were acting... suspiciously human. As in, acting completely naturally. Did they gain sentience when everyone was dragged in?
Well, it didn't matter anyhow, at least not for the moment. They just passed the city limits. They were officially in the wilderness now. Kat instinctively started to hug her staff closer too her. Honestly, she was terrified, and with good reason. They didn't know if the Cathedral was up, and she was just a Cleric. Her class wasn't made for combating enemies, it was made for healing people. She glanced at her party once more. 'These are the people that your life is in the hands of.' she thought nervously. 'It's your job to keep them alive.' She repeated that last thought like a mantra, burning those words into her mind. 'It's your job to keep them alive. It's your job to keep them alive. It's your job to keep them alive.''Don't screw up.'[Word Count: 856 Tags: Haseo @kurosan @dumah Notes: Yeah Dumah, I can kind of pity you. Haseo almost openly shook his head after Dumah mentioned that they should run away if needed. In order to plague his mind with something in order to hold the feeling at bay, Haseo decided to ponder about his new comrades, in unison with their own deep-in-thought looks. However, the analytical side Haseo possessed focused only on the weaknesses of others, in order to know what to expect at worst-case scenario when the party found themselves in a trap, or ambushed.
Dumah seemed the type that, from Haseo's analysis, would become consumed with guilt if a member of his party, or someone he held responsible, was harmed. Utilizing this, his enemies, not including mobs, could easily use this as a trump card in order to attain something of importance from him. His traits as a leader seem exceedingly priceless, and he would be the better out of all of them to lead.
Kuro looked as if he would back off from any life-threatening fight, no matter what circumstance, for the right price. Atleast, that's the message his demeanor conveyed. Behind the withdrawn and calculative surface, perhaps he could be a decent guy. Assuming that his original outward appearance doesn't happen to be just a mask. His stealth would come in handy however, laying back and surprising any attackers who were unaware of his presence.
Rina looked to be the hesitant type, which would be unable to cope with even a modest mob, judging from her shyness. Though given the correct ultimatum, Haseo thought she could look after herself.
Completing his mental evaluation, he turned his mind to himself. Haseo, he seems to have such a shy air that he almost seems cowardly, unable to even get a few mere words out of his own mouth. He seems foolish to be a loner, as soloing is extremely dangerous, but then again if he died, who would care? Haseo, amidst his inner conflict, blinked. "I'm used to soloing. If anyone has to run, I'll stall. Though it would be more efficient if Dumah acted as a backup, and only intervened when needed, in order for us to level accordingly." Haseo looked towards the others. Rina and Kuro would most likely be a support type. Dumah and himself would be the attackers, taking the majority of enemy attacks. Haseo then averted his gaze away from the party to avoid keeping eye contact with anyone for longer than desired. This was because he knew that, merely by meeting a gaze with someone, you can tell a lot about them, and that was something he wouldn't want until he knew them better. "So, you gonna lead the way, Dumah?" Haseo said this while keeping his gaze off the party. He swiped his hand and scrolled through his menu. After the desired changes, he equipped his secondary sword, his ambidexterity now known to the others. He ran his eyes over his comrades before quickly looking away to avoid their gazes. He smiled, excitement and overconfidence beginning to flow within him.

The small party of four walked for some time, seemingly without direction in the forest that surrounded Londinium. After some time, the group came across three Young Pittered Boars. "Three boars, it seems. Let us hope there is no mother nearby watching over them." Dumah drew his sword in his right hand, keeping his left hand empty. It looked odd: a Swashbuckler who was not taking advantage of the class' ambidextrous skill and ability. Dumah pointed the sword about as he explained his plan of attack. "I shall attack the first boar," as he stated this he pointed to one of the boars, "and will do my best to keep its attention on me. Haseo, I would like you to attack one of the other boars while I am fighting. Kuro, if you would, fight the third, remaining boar. We can keep them focused on each one of us. Katarina, while we fight this group of boars, I would ask of you to stay back, keep our health high, and provide any support you can. If any other beasts should try to join the fight, please tell us." Dumah nodded to himself as he gazed out to his party's target. He held his sword in a comfortable grip, one both loose and tight at the same time, before dashing out into the clearing where the boars had been feeding.
He seemed to have quite some competency and skill in swordplay; Dumah's fight seemed elegant as he gracefully dodged the charging of the young boar, counterattacking each time the boar attempted to knock him down. The two other boars began to notice the fight, and prepared to charge at Dumah in an attempt to rescue their friend.

When they entered the forest, Kuro realized he had only 1 wooden bolt for his crossbow. After examining the arrow he was sort of able to create few along the way, but they weren't nothing out of the ordinary and did just a lil'bit less damage then the one he had in the begining, plus his crafting subclass was Pharmacist, he was lucky he could do this at all. So now with another 10 bolts to use Kuro started to feel... uneasy, because none of 'em new hot to fight here AND what was important, HE didn't know how to fight. (Will it be like fighting in real life??? Do we use our abilities like before in-game???... I'm gonna have to find out the hard way i guess.)After a while wandering Kuro noticed some movement, not so far away from them and as it seemed so did Dumah, because he then told them to move in the direction of "the movement". It turned out that "the movement" were 3 young boars. (Strange, I thought that they are always acompanied by their parents...) Then Dumah told them what to do and pulled out one of his swords. (He looks really confident... Did he fight with swords in real life, or does the... "game" help him?) What pulled Kuro out of his thoughts was that Dumah charged at the neares boar and was acctualy doing quite well. (He had to take "sword fighting lessons" in real life...) But the other 2 were preparing to charge at Dumah. Because he didn't want his friends to be hurt. He quickly loaded one of his bolts and pointed his crossbow at his designated boar, hold his breath for better aim and shot at the boar... which started running right before the bolt hit it, and the bolt then half-stuck half shattered on the rock that was behinde the boar. As Kuro was reloading his thoughts were something like this: GOD DAMN IT! WHY do they HAVE to RUN. I HATE SHOOTING at something thAT RUNS!!!) As he aimed at the running animal he tried to use his {Dimensional Shot} abillity from the menu, but the icon seemed to be spazzing out when he tried to use it. " Ahhh! What the hell! And as he yelled that he fired and hit the boar in the neck dealing a critical around 20% damage and aggroing the animal on himself. Before the boar charged at him Kuro was able to yell: "How the f**ck do you use your abilities?!?!"___________________________________________________________________________ Kuro: Lvl: 1 (Wooden bolts: 9)Health: 100%Mana: 100%____________________________________________________ Young Pittered Boar: Lvl: 1Health: 80%Mana: --___________________________________________________________________________ [Word count: 422 Tags:@bornfromvelvet @dumah Haseo Note: If you are not supposed to count the bolts then next time I will not do that.]

Katarina looked around the forest nervously, the silence getting to her. They hadn't seen any mobs so far, but that could change any second. Dumah was at the front of the part, his hand firmly placed on his sword's hilt. Kuro was slamming a couple of sticks and rocks together, attempting to make some more bolts for his crossbow. Surprisingly, that seemed to work, since his quiver had noticeably more bolts in it than it did before. Still though... 'Here's hoping he isn't a crap shot, 'cause he doesn't have many bolts on him.' Kat thought, staring at his quiver. That got her thinking though. Would he have aim-assist, or would he just have to aim manually? She shook her head in an attempt to clear her mind. No, there's no way he would have auto-aim or anything of the sort. Even in the game, people could miss. Actually, there's something she'll need to stop doing: referring to Elder Tale as a game. For the time being at least, this was her reality.
Her gaze broke away from Kuro and went to Dumah. He seems to be rather confident-
Oh god, what was that in the distance? "Guys, mobs." she stated, momentarily dropping the shy act. The shapes in the distance were more important that her little façade anyhow. Everyone paused.
Dumah was the first one to speak up. "Three boars, it seems. Let us hope there is no mother nearby watching over them." Katarina looked around. Well, there didn't seem to be any adults nearby. Thank god for small favours. Well, they were far away, they could always go past them and-oh god Dumah's drawing his sword. "I shall attack the first boar," 'NO.' "and will do my best to keep it's attention on me." 'WHY!?!' Okay, Kat was panicking. She looked down at her staff. She didn't know how to use this thing! Quickly, she opened her menu and navigated to skills. Silently praying that it worked like it did when it was a game, she eyed her skills nervously, repeating her mantra from earlier. 'It's your job to keep them alive'. Dumah continued explaining his plan.
"Haseo, I would like you to attack one of the other boars while I am fighting. Kuro, if you would, fight the third, remaining boar." Kuro visibly tensed when his name was mentioned. "Katarina, while we fight this group of boars, I would ask of you to stay back, keep our health high, and provide any support you can. If any other beasts should try and join the fight, please tell us."
Katarina nodded. "Alright, sit back and stay away from the fighting. That's a plan I can get behind." Welp, so much for shy. That probably got her some weird looks, but nevermind. Katarina looked over at the boars, trying to judge how difficult the battle would be. Probably not uber hard, considering it was just some Pittered boars, but still. They didn't know how to fight, so it could be rough. But hey, as far as first encounters go, this isn't the worst. 'If my memory serves me right, these mobs don't have any skills, and don't resist anything, so that's always good, but they don't have any weaknesses either, so...' Kat was pulled out of her thoughts as Dumah started to rush over to his target.
Damn. Actually, he was good. His sword swings were on point. Katarina sweatdropped. Very much unlike Kuro. 'He's... really bad at this...' she thought as she saw another bolt smash against a rock near the boar. Quickly opening his menu, he tried to use Dimensional Shot skill, but the skill, for whatever reason, didn't seem to work. Why didn't it work? He had enough MP, so... Well, Kat just concluded that he missed the button. ((OOC: Kuro, I've rewatched the anime's first episode, what you've described doesn't make sense. Your ability should've worked. I'm just gonna say you missed the button, k?)) "Argh! What the hell!" he yelled angrily, firing his crossbow at point blank. Well, that worked.
Kuro still seemed to have not taken any damage so far, which was good. In fact, surprisingly, no one seemed to have taken damage yet. 'Well then, this is going better than expected...' she thought as she looked at the current state of battle. Huh.

((No worries for not doing much, Kat. I understand how tough it can be writing a battle post as a support class. And Kuro, you don't need to count your ammo. I believe we just have infinite, unless you want to handicap yourself. Also, regarding skill usage: Naotsugu had trouble using a skill in the heat of battle because Briar Weasels were up in his face, making it hard for him to focus on his menu while trying to block their attacks. However, it is still possible to activate skills from the menu, as shown by Shiroe and other support players throughout the series. There are two methods of skill usage: Through the menu, or by vocal and motion command.))
