Kaos stood at the Bulletin Board looking for something new to get his hands on when an odd request stood out to him. Executive Chef van Rouge, huh? He needs a lot of items, but to what end? He reads the letter posted and sees that he's on ice cube duty. It may say Mana Ice Crystals, but it's totally ice cubes. I have to make ice cubes? Nope, screw that. Upon further examination he sees that there is a crafting bonus as well as a chance for some decent rewards. He surrenders to himself and readjusts his glasses before heading to St. Pancras Station to begin working.
He walked down the stair of the station and watched as the frenzies masses rushed about. Some were just trying to finish their current project while others changed their projects to help with the banquet. He saw many half-finished projects but it looked like no one was rushing through their craft. Either people are taking this seriously or just feel like taking their time, either way I need a table. He continued walking until he found a suitable alchemist's station and sat down. I need to make Mana Ice Crystals, which appear to be mana fragments charged with ice element. The trick is going to be making them a cube, perhaps if I visualize the shape while I control the mana flow, it will be cuboid.
Kaos closes his eyes and channels the mana between his hands, then charges the mana with the ice element. Ok, crystalize the structure of Sodium Chloride. Yes, mana here: Ice element there. He opens his eyes to see a perfect cube resting on the table. With a sigh he picked up the 1 level 1 Mana Ice Crystal he made for 5 gold and 1% Quest Completion. This is a bit easier than I thought, but I'm going to have to make a ton of these. Other alchemists would be helpful but even more so might be a mechanic to make a freezer box so that we know these will keep.

Kaos sat at his station, his mind feeling numb. I'm suprised this cube hasn't started melting yet, perhaps it is the mana or just because of the nature of this world. He reviews the work order, and lets out a sigh of releif. It doesn't nesaccarily say they have to be cubes. Maybe I can play with the shapes a bit, you know, make it fun for myself. He stretched out his back and shoulders then wiggled his finger, trying to feel like he was loosened up. Kaos then placed his palms together and began charging ice element and mana between his them. He lined up his fingertips and very slowly spread his hands apart, pushing out with his fingertips. As the space between his hands grew wider a small ball of ice formed and grew slightly larger as the space increased until Kaos' hands were as far apart as they could be while his fingertips still touched. The ice ball began to stabilize before it started slowly gliding down to the tabletop. Kaos smiled as he succeded in making 1 level 1 Mana Ice Crystal for 5 gold and another 1% completion. An Ice Box, hell even a a plain box to store these in would be nice. I don't know a mechanic though, maybe a Person of the Land does. He got up from his station and asked around the station, trying to find a mechanic who might have a good reputation. He came back to his work bench with only one name: Bailin. A person he knew absolutely nothing about and didn't even know how to spell it to try and send him a message.

With a forceful stride the Warden marched into the St. Pancras Station, searching for one of the many alcoves that allowed one to craft in peace and quiet. ‘So who on this forsaken plane is this Kaos, where did he get my contact information and what does he want, bar the assistance with some of the event things for this Van Rouge.’ Bailin thought, pondering on the contents of the message, his eye staring through the crowd of landers and adventurers as he kept marching towards the designated alcove. After looking around for a bit Bailin finally found the alcove, finding a silver haired, tall male standing in the alcove, leaning above the crafting table, fidgeting with something. [break][break] Placing his hands behind his back, one hand on the butt of his riffle Bailin stepped in. “Are you Kaos?” he asked coarsely, his eye burning with fiery intent. Running a hand through his short, black hair neatly trimmed, followed by two thoughtful strokes through his large, full beard as if he was contemplating something as well as checking if all was still in order. Looking at the table Bailin noticed the tall male was making something resembling and ice cube. ‘It would appear it is indeed him but what is he hoping to achieve? I cannot make ice cubes, nor can I assist him, but perhaps he was lonely. If that’s the case it is truly a weirdo and he should hug a wall or something.’ Bailin thought, grinning inside whilst maintaining the stern look on his face. With two forceful steps Bailin ended up at the crafting table, rummaging in his backpack and taking out a small metal plate and two little cogs. The next item was a small rope and another cog. Normally Bailin would have gathered something of rubber, but as of yet, rubber had not yet been discovered, if it existed at all in this world. [break][break] With an unforeseen delicacy and care Bailin attached two of the cogs on the metal plate, placing the third one a bit further away. The next step was to place the rope around the base of one of the cogs as well as around the base of the loose cog. That would, when either of the three cogs were turned, they would all turn and as such provide the kinetic energy to power whatever needed to be powered. It was a small and simple item to create, yet depending on what part broke down exactly; it would suffice as a quick repair for the application that required a replacement because it had broken down. Kaos looks at the large, rather burly man in shock before standing up to greet him. "I am indeed Kaos, you must be Bailin. It is a pleasure to make your aquaintance." He places an open palm on his chest and bows respectfully, bending his other arm behind him just above his blade. He watches the man work on something with an almost unnatural delicacy. He sat back down at his station and very cautiously began forging another ice crystal. "Some of the locals here said they've seen you working before and I can see why you stood out to them. I was wondering if you could possibly help me out with my present cunundrum; you see I can make these ice crystals for the banquet but I fear that might all melt. Is it possible that you could consruct an ice box of sorts so that we may preserve these better?" He did his best to not appear nervous with this brutish man nearby. I truely hope he is able to help but I am beginning to feel like the People of the Land were trying to set me up. Those bastards totally set me up. There is no way this big brute can handle the delicate equipment and parts needed to build an appliance or anything small really, he's more suited to blacksmithing... He sighed and conjured up an ice element along with the mana flow already in progress. This time, due to his distraction it came out raather irregular and oddly shaped. Something that would happen if a machine made it back in their old reality but it might not be good enough for the banquet here. He pondered it for a while and decided to keep the 1 level 1 Ice Crystal for 5 gold and 1% Completion.

With a silent nod Bailin confirmed that he was indeed himself as this Kaos person confirmed both of their identities. The Warden spoke not a word whilst he started fiddling with the next piece of the requested items, said items that were to be used as quick repairs for broken machinery and the likes. Looking up for half a second Bailin noticed the silver haired male made an odd bow, as if he took the role-playing a tad too serious. ‘So I appear to be famous. Yet I wonder why this one required my assistance for the creation of ice cubes it would seem. ‘thought the Warden as he continued fiddling with his new toy. As the silver haired bloke continued his talking the reason as to why he required the Warden’s assistance became apparent, the bloke required something to prevent the ice cubes from melting, an interesting subject and Bailin would indeed enjoy the research of such an item, however, he currently lacked both materials, ideas and location to even start contemplating the suggested and required item. “Not here.” Was all the Warden said in a short, brusque tone, “Place the finished iced cubicles in your inventory.” He continued, occasionally shifting his eye over to the silver haired bloke, whilst he kept fiddling with the three cogs and stick between his fingers. Not looking to the bloke called Kaos the Warden gently pushed the stich through the middle of two cogs, making certain he fastened them well enough so they were not able to move from their allocated place. The third cog he placed horizontally upon the other two cogs. This would ensure the pressure on the cogs would be divided, ensuring they would last longer, yet still be able to provide enough power to have them fulfil their task. Kaos took a moment to watch Bailin work. For such a big man he can make some delicate movements. He proved me wrong. I bet he's a skilled Warden... He turned back to his own work and took a deep breath. "So tell me, Bailin, what adventures have you been on recently? You seem like someone with a good story." Kaos readjusted his glasses as he began channeling mana between his hands in order to make his next ice crystal. Abel sat at his desk, feet on the desk and a book covering his face. He didn't want to admit that he was tired but after his first three days of being on-call at this new hospital he was. He knew it was part of the job but he was beat. Suddenly his pager went off, causing him to groan. He placed the book on his desk and left his office. He walked to where he was needed, slapping his face a couple times to wake himself up. A large and rather beligerment man was strapped to a bed and was beyond the phrase 'freaking out'. The man was flailing wildly in the bed trying to break the restraints. Abel stood off to the side and stared at the man as a stream of obsenities escaped from him mouth. He calmly picked up the chart and looked it over, ignoring everything the man said. A bad habit of his when deaing with difficult people but sometimes it allowed him a moment to just think. This man was ruining that ability now. Abel turned to the irate man and smiled softly.
"Sir, if you want me to even attempt to look this over and see if I can help you, I'm going to need you to shut up. Okay?"This sent a man into a frenzy but gave Abel a few seconds of quiet shock before hand to notice why this man was in the hospital to begin with. "You have cancer and it is being accelerated by what I can only assume are the large amounts of steroids you've been taking recently. Calm down so I can help you, or you are going to die."Kaos chuckled to himself as he finished making 1 level 1 Mana Ice Crystal for 1% Completion and looked it over. That man shut up immediately and cooperated fully. I believe he made a full recovery and beat the cancer but I forget. Makes me glad Steroids are not a thing in this realm.
