[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]KREISS [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Emil Jäger [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male (♂) [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male (♂) [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: Twenty-One (21) [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Demisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: ludger will kresnik, TALES OF XILLIA II [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Reverie [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Kreiss designed his character’s avatar to resemble his human self wanting the full-effect of Elder Tale even on his imaginary person. He is a young male who appears to be in his early twenties standing at five feet and eleven inches, being quite slim. His face has thinned out as he got older losing most of its chubbiness to take on the likeness of an adult male. Often his face gives away his emotions unless he is ‘zoned-out’. His eyes are a sea green shade, and most have told him in different lighting they appear to be lighter or darker. He has thin lips and somewhat of a pointy-nose taking after his father in appearance. His hair is silver and comes to the base of his neck although there are streaks of black here and there which is quite an unusual trait in his family. He has broad shoulders and a slim athletically toned physique weighing 118 lbs. This allows him to move quickly on his feet as he doesn’t have a large amount of muscle mass or fat. He is almost always seen wearing a standard outfit which consists of a collared white shirt, suspenders, a black tie and slacks, beige-colored boots, and a black suit jacket with a gold outlining. If he is not wearing this then it is usually something that is rather casual former being only a collared shirt, slacks, and formal shoes. The reason for this is because he was taught to dress this way in the real world in case he ever had to meet with someone important. In public, he holds himself in a regal manner always with his head held-high and usually a friendly smile gracing his lips. Even in private he doesn’t allow this to fall not allowing his guard to fall even then. He walks in a leisurely calm manner often with his hands tucked into his pockets or at his sides. When he is stationary, his hand may find its way to his sword or to his hip. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Kreiss isn’t a very complex man although his emotions aren’t shown plain as day - he is very simple with the things that he does and/or wants. He is a rather optimistic man who is insightful when it comes to trusting others. He works upon instinct choosing to go with his gut-feeling knowing that he’d never steer himself wrong. When it comes to others, his friendliness holds no bounds as he is often waving and smiling no matter who it is. Even if he has enemies, he tries to keep them close as possible though far - never allowing anyone to get past the smiling mask that he often puts on. His calm demeanor is one of his greatest allies especially when it comes to deals that could go sour if he exposes his thoughts too quickly. His calculative mindset along with his academic prowess allows him to sort out issues in a timely manner, as violence is the last thing that he’d wish to indulge in. He can be seen as someone who is rather noble and of regal-bearing although his parents were only middle class people. They taught him how to talk and associate with people who were of a higher upbringing. His patience holds no bounds and he rarely becomes ‘annoyed’ keeping clear thoughts to retain his composure. When it comes to fighting, he tries to figure out the easiest way to get past the issue in the lowest amount of time. Kreiss excels when it comes to following orders from higher-ups never really having an issue with his superiors unless he could point out their flaws. Nonetheless he is an easy-going man who has a carefree look on the world until he gets into a philosophical discussion which brings some of his darker traits about. When he has to resort to violence, Kreiss is merciless able to do his job swift and in a hurry. To him completing the task quickly and mourning later is the greatest way to keep from hesitation. He is loyal to his allies willing to jump at any hint of actual harm to them. In turn, his loyalty comes with a price as if he is betrayed - it will deal a great blow to that person along to him. Kreiss’ heart is something that is often kept to himself. Although he has an empathetic nature able to feel others’ pain and reach out to their own understanding, he is also very wary of people choosing to keep his heart locked away behind his smile. To let someone in would take a great deal of work on his part when it comes to opening up. To be betrayed would cause him to be rather blunt and harsh with that person though the entire time, he would keep a smile. Kreiss is a hard-worker, he is a very simple man who tries his hardest to keep everything and everyone together. His optimism allows him to dream and his personality draws people to him. Though his stubborn ways of not allowing anyone past the barrier of his heart, his merciless endeavors on the field, his blunt and harsh nature are some of the things that are keeping this beautiful man from fully blossoming. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Kreiss or in the real world, Emil Jäger, was born as the only child to a middle-class couple that were living in the heart of Germany. Emil wasn’t a fussy child though he could see that his mother and father wanted something more for him. They would spend their days working hard to ensure that Emil would have all of the newest clothes and fashions, so that he would be the same as the other kids. They enrolled him into a prestigious private school with other well-off children who often ridiculed him for being someone that was ‘lesser’ than them. Often Emil would come home with bruises from being bullied though he wouldn’t complain or cry about it, rather he would comfort his parents who believed that it was their fault. Emil was a very nice child and although it hurt that his classmates thought less of him, he believed that he was more than they could ever be. His father would often sit down and have talks with him about what it meant to be a man and how important it was that he held himself high. The two of them would discuss things like philosophy and statistics along with stock market prices and life. The family of three would sit down and hold conversations with one another, and even when Emil was too young to understand they never excluded him. They told Emil that when a child is born into the world, it is the parent’s duty to educate them and help them grow. His parents reassured Emil that they would do their best to make him into a fine man that would change the very world that he lived in. Their words finally showed great merit when Emil turned fifteen years old, he was in his second year of high-school and everyone wondered where on Earth he had come from. He excelled in his studies and although he wasn’t one of the best athletes, he came out on top. His teachers adored him because of his personalities and most people felt uneasy around him became of his constant smile. They gave him the nickname ‘Smiling Phantom’ because in most pictures he’d be seen just smiling - in every photograph it was the same. Nonetheless, Emil proved to be his father’s son as he was able to gain multiple scholarships by his third year of high school. He was offered to study abroad in Japan, after he graduated, at an institution that would fit the career that he had in mind, his parents wanted their son to be a lawyer or a medical personnel. Though Emil himself wanted to be one of the great men who created technologies for the world, he wanted to be a designer. They allowed him to study abroad, and he was doing quite well. By that time he got into video games, and was astounded by the features along with the detail. He tried his hand at developing a few games himself and was backed by many of his professors. Eventually his time came to an end in Japan, and he had a job opening for him in England while he attended to school. Going to England, he managed to pick up on a game that had developed in Japan called Elder Tale. Many of his colleagues urged him to play it thoroughly impressed by its graphics and the fact that it was one of the new games everyone was buzzing about. Emil had to admit that he was curious and tagged in after constant nagging to play. Before though, he called his mother and father, for what he hadn’t know was the last time, and told them that he was very happy where he was and that he’d be trying out a new game while he was on break. The year after Emil was set to graduate, though on the day of the ‘Apocalypse’ - he found himself trapped in Elder Tale. He could remember everything that he had done before the Apocalypse, and settled on believing that whatever this was. He would have to exist to the very end. This sudden disorientation disrupts a monster's thought process, often resulting in its battle AI resetting.
