Elder Tale was the typical world phenomenon.
It was the first MMORPG to last two decades and still be going strong, fueled by the love of its dedicated players. It was a typical sword, board and spell MMO, one that had a Japanese flair due to it being its origin country. When the Novasphere Pioneers expansion came out, the British were promised their own server at last. Characters would have to start out fresh on this bold, new server, but finally Britain would get the server it had been awaiting- its own little piece of the Half-Gaia Project.
Then the Catastrophe happened. Thousands of players across the world were suddenly transported into the game. Most of the players in England were on entirely new characters, newbies to this new part of the world. They were trapped, with no way to get home, and no way to die. There wasn't even a way of knowing whether they were trapped within the game, or trapped within a world similar to the game. Law had no basis in this world. Everyone was at the same level. No one had guilds established on this new server. Unfounded Kingdom, the server that was based off of Great Britain, was a no-man's land: a foreign territory that had yet to be explored. The Wild West of Elder Tale. After two years, the players had succeeded in conquering an ancient entity and returned back to their world. But is that the end of the story? Join us in creating the conclusion of the roleplay adventure based on the popular MMO Adventure anime and novel, Log Horizon. |
ANNOUNCEMENTS
1/7/2021: Okay fine. Now that the 3rd season of Log Horizon is about to air, I have no doubt some people may be interested in seeing if this site is back up again. The RP is now back up in a limited form - there will be no moderation. This is essentially the final chapter of the RP and so I've made this decision so that people can close any character arcs and indulge in nostalgia. I don't expect the forum to be terribly active, but at least this time it'll end when it ends. Good luck however long you stay and have fun! -Murasaki 5/10/2020: We're still closed. However, the RP forum remains closed. No further registration or moderation will occur from this point on. If you do wish to make a thread to find anyone you've lost touch with, do so in Introductions/Absences. If for any reason you would like to remove your posts and you've deleted your account, you may also post in that forum requesting such. Thank you for the long memories made throughout the forum. -Murasaki 2017:Unfortunately all forum staff are just very busy with real life and thus Log Horizon is not a priority for any at the moment. We had many wonderful ideas for the site but no time to put it into action. Nonetheless, the forum has had a wonderful run, both under its original owners as well as its successor.
