What was the point in living in an empty castle, devoid of friends and laughter? She sat on a throne of lies, of a guild that was on its last two legs. Remaining here was pointless, but leaving altogether was almost too cruel. She had made a promise to remain ever faithful to her first guild since the Catastrophe, and even though they had all gone their separate ways, she could not find it within herself to simply give up. Responsibility of the guild was passed on to one of the few remaining members, Shira, but Capsule chose to stay on as a member.
She openly bore the guild name during the long months she spent out in seclusion, and would have gone on doing so, had a new development not been introduced -- a potion that could alter your appearance. It was one her level was more than proficient enough to make on her own. It caught her attention, in that it provided her a means to reinvent herself. She had fallen so out of touch with previous friends, and wanted to remain under the radar. Pharmaceutical research and general pensiveness had a way of doing that to you.
For so long, she was stuck pining over her mounting loneliness, and even tried to cover it up by making animal and monster friends. It's not like she regretted it or anything, but stuff like that only enhanced her loneliness. And, as much as she loved Fiver and her other little monster friends, it was best to release them back into the wild. Fiver was already free, so that just left the rest of the creatures. Aranea, Dobby and Meenah were all let go, especially Dobby; he was far too conspicuous to keep around.
Now, sitting in the main room of her cottage in the Sarum mountains, the woman decided to put her intentions to use. The Appearance Change Potion recipe, the necessary materials, and the tools of her trade were scattered on the floor around her. For a moment, she longed for the mortar and pestle she'd received from an event, just one of many items donated to the masses. What she had now were substandard and Lander made tools, useable but not quite as fancy as what she was used to. It was affordable, though.
With a small sigh, the redhead ran a hand through her uneven locks. The avatar she had in mind was one with white or silverish hair, and maybe blue eyes -- she hadn't decided yet, but there would be plenty of time for that later. "Nothing to it but to do it." This was in the name of science, after all.
Missing the weight of her old kukri in her hand, she picked up a regular knife, flipping an herb around in her other hand. This was all pretty standard stuff. She barely thought about it as she pinned the herb down against the board, and began to chop it up. Her moves were mechanically as she picked up another and dissected it in a similar fashion. With utmost finesse, her hands worked together to twist the board around, and repositioned her blade to dice the lot into a finer assortment. Her favorite part was coming up soon.
