we all learn to make mistakes Kitkat didn't feel so good about this. He knew that he'd have to go and fight sometime, but the feel of a scythe just wasn't quite right in his hands. But when Okami had asked him if he wanted to go training with her, he had agreed, mostly because he wasn't quite sure that he'd be able to fight without someone nearby and, for all of the things that the hyper Fox Tail would tease him about, he did consider her kind enough to not laugh at the fact that he didn't want to fight anything. He didn't think he'd be able to stomach it. The very thought of turning the scythe that leaned up against his wall against something... it made his stomach turn at the thought of it. The thought of blood on his hands made him want to be sick. He knew that it was only a computer game where nothing really felt pain and the monsters never actually died, but it still just didn't sit right with him. He wasn't sure he could be okay with bringing a blade to bear against even the lowest of creatures. Maybe that was why he simply couldn't bear to pick up the scythe and had instead left it leaning against the wall, untouched, when he left the inn he was staying in.
The thought that this could very well constitute a date only occurred to him when he was halfway out of London, but it was enough to make him screech to a halt, cheeks flaming. Okami was sweet, true, but this wasn't even remotely anything that he was comfortable with! He liked his friend back in the real world, not... not her! Well, he liked her as a friend, but not like liked her. The whole prospect made his cheeks flame and he wished that he could just shove his head into the snow and hide. It would make sense why she was so forward with him about the clothes thing earlier, but that didn't make him any more interested. A soft whine left his throat, and it took some effort for him to do much more than bite his lip and keep walking. What was he supposed to do? Was he right? Was he wrong? And if he was right, what was he supposed to say? His brother Sherlock was the one who was good with girls, not him! He was too awkward around them, and the few who held him in decent favor did so mostly because he was safe, someone who wouldn't make a move on them no matter the situation!
He whined softly, his lip clutched tightly in his teeth, but he kept moving forward to meet her. He couldn't just ditch Okami, that would be rude, but he could at least... talk to her. Right? She was understanding and kind, she wouldn’t be too mad if he told her that he had someone that he had feelings for in real life, right?
This wasn't going to end well. He could feel it in his bones. | Words;; 512 Tags;; Okami(Training) Notes;; It almost would've been better for the poor thing to start with slimes. But instead he gets boars.
And thinking that Okami has a crush on him. Poor thing really doesn't deserve half of what I put him through. It's fun though, so why complain? Lyrics;; "Misguided Ghosts" by Paramore Template by Kuroya |

Okami her-self hadn't been considering such things. No, for the fox-tail didn't 'consider' things. Considering things implied that she thought about how things happened. And their consequences. The pinkette was many things. A friend, a sister, a dynamo of energy and sunshine, an alchemist and a wizard. But a thinker? Hardly.
So when she'd spotted her friend wolf mumbling to him-self, or at least she assumed mumbling since in the time Okami had known the shy guy he'd been a rather quiet individual who couldn't speak up, the fox-tail had come up with a devious plan. Or not really, because as stated, she wasn't a thinker. She was a doer. And right now the sorcerer was about to do so hard. For you see, the sorcerer had just come into ownership of a certain item. An item that had allowed her-self to change into a rather...interesting class.
Sitting atop her shire, reigns in hand, the Fox-tail grinned knowingly.
Timing it just perfect, or close enough when she lost the patience to bother waiting, Okami had done the only thing that seemed absolutely necessary. As one they charged out of the bushes, shire neighing as they stormed out of the brush and into the open area. The fox-tail screamed in glee, practically losing her-self as the mount went full speed out of the foliage. "Hi wolfie!' she called out, blazing past him on her epic steed. She pulled the reigns, bringing the horse around the area and slowing him to a stop. Okami grinned at him as she brought the mount back around. "Hope I didn't keep you waiting~" She asked, acting as if what had just transpired hadn't happened at all.

we all learn to make mistakes There was no warning. No sound. No hint. Nothing. Everything had been quiet right up until the moment when there was a loud neigh and everything burst into chaos. There was a horse leaping out of the bushes right in front of him, flank passing inches from Kitkat's face, and the poor Wolf Hair let out a loud yelp, his crimson eyes going wide beneath the shade of his wild dark burgundy hair, and his arms flailed at the arm as he fell backwards, landing right on his rump in shock. "O-okami!?!" he stuttered out, surprised, his heart fluttering in his chest - though it was out of terror, sheer unadulterated terror, not some idea of love - and his body trembling finely. He reached up, hand shaking as he tried to push some of his hair out of his eyes, though his efforts only knocked most of it further down, in the way. Breathing hard, he fiddled with his hair, trying to get up again and brush the mud off of his clothes. "I-it's okay, Okami. I just wasn't expecting you to jump out on a horse." Feeling a little shy, he padded over to the equine and the Fox Tail, his earlier suspicions about her intentions having been forgotten in the appearance of the female's new class. "I never knew you could ride horses. I thought that was something that wasn't allowed to players." He reached out to pet the equine's nose gently, his fingers light on the fur. "I've never seen anyone riding around... so I guess I just never thought it was possible."
She was stronger than she was when they had first met. But he pushed the insecurity that came with the realization aside, instead tilting his head to the side to look at her. "So what are we going to do now, Okami?" he asked before blinking and shaking his head, pushing back a slight heat from his cheeks as he remembered that he had almost missed an important step. "Oh bugger! Hold on, let me send you a party invite!" He quickly pulled up the menu and sent it to the Fox Tail before him, waiting for the pop-up to appear before he did anything else. After all, she was the more experienced one of the party, not him, so it would make more sense for her to pick their targets rather than him, right? She’d probably be able to figure out what would be best for him to fight, though he was still feeling uneasy about this whole fighting concept in the first place. A large part of him wanted to just turn tail and retreat back to London and instead persuade the Fox Tail to let him make her something with his Tailoring, but instead, he held his ground, not wanting to disappoint the magically inclined girl if he could avoid it. Especially since she was the only thing standing between him and another visit to Westminster Abbey. Not that he minded taking a moment of his time to dedicate to the gods, but well… let’s just say that he’d rather have as few as possible of his visits there be because he died rather than because he wanted to get in touch with the gods. | Words;; 545 Tags;; Okami(Training) Notes;; Have a poor frazzled kitty. :3 Lyrics;; "Misguided Ghosts" by Paramore Template by Kuroya |

The fox-tail gave a sly little grin to the wolf hair. He had never seen someone ride a shire around before, had he? Truth be told, neither had Okami come to think of it. She'd managed to switch her class over to cavalry, sure, but had she run into anyone else who could summon forth a noble steed like she could? Not really, no. The sorcerer hadn't even seen anyone with the class it-self, come to think of it. Was a class about riding around on mounts really that unpopular? The fox-tail certainly had fun galloping through the planes on her epic mount. She couldn't see what anyone else wouldn't have enjoyed it.
Slipping off her saddle and landing neatly on her feet, she watched as Kitkat stroked her shire. The horse gave a sour neigh, looking every bit as grumpy as the last time she'd glanced at the creatures face. Okami wasn't quite sure why it was always in a bad mood. She took good care of her mount, honest! So why it was always in a foul mood, she hadn't the slightest idea. It was just perpetually sour, forever the wet blanket in the sea of parties and fun.
...Or something like that. Could just be that it was a horse and that was it's default expression.
Another sour neigh followed this train of thought.
"So, so," she started, lacing her hands behind her and bouncing on her feet, looking up at the wolf hair with a sunny smile, "What do you want to do? Go fight some piggies? Punt some other monster? Or maybe..." She smiled coyly. "Take a ride on my friend here~?" The fox-tail grinned. Okami had made the offer simply as a check of interest. Kitkat was, she knew, inherently shy. So if the man had wanted to have a chance to ride around on a horse, then the fox-tail would have to pry that desire out of him. It might take some nudging and pawing on her part, but if he wanted to have a good time riding across the hills with her, then, well, what were good vixen friends for? "You have to ride behind me, though! You can't really pilot these kinds of guys without the right class, ya know~?"
