Aella
Character Info
REAL NAME: Adam Shoji
REAL GENDER: Male
GAME GENDER: Female
AGE: 22
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
FACE-CLAIM: Bainas, OZMA
PLAYED BY: Aella
RACE: Human
FACTION: Adventurer
Appearance Aella stands at five foot nine in-game, ever so slightly shorter than her real counterpart. She ways in at around one hundred and twenty-five pounds, leaving her as somewhat thin, but not dangerously so. Aella's body is also somewhat trained, giving her a small amount of muscularity. Aella has no real stand out features- the closest she has is her hair color. The orange seems to appear as if it is made of fire if caught in sunlight. Otherwise, she just appears to be another average adventurer, albeit an angry one. Her slanted eyes give off a constant glare, not on purpose, just naturally. In the real world, Adam is a fan of jeans and long sleeved shirts, with the occasional hat. In game, Aella is partial to long coats and shorts, and the color red. Especially the color red, as it matches her hair and eyes quite well. This is also what helped in creating her old reputation in the old European server as the Crimson Blur. However, this is hard to recreate at level one, leaving Aella as a run of the mill player. | Personality Both Adam and Aella share the same personality, and always have, even before the Apocalypse. Aella strives to not be the best Swashbuckler in the game. No, she strives to be the best player in the Unfounded Kingdom, and eventually the world. Her plan isn't to be some part of some big team, she wants to be able to take on the top PvP teams by herself, and win. The Crimson Blur must live again. That was pre-Apocalypse. In her standard life, Aella isn't really a standout personality wise. She's not afraid to be social in the right situations, but not to the point of being obnoxious. What she wants to do now is to find people that she can group up with so she can survive this mess. However, she still wants to prove her prowess to the world, and she will stop at nothing if she sees the possibility arise to do so. This doesn't mean that she doesn't care about her fellow adventurers, its just that she is somewhat attention grabbing. Her main problem is simply being a bit too impulsive. She'd much rather jump into a rather dangerous, but almost completely avoidable, situation than just squeak past. This impulsiveness has shown that she has stellar split second decision making skills, knowing how and when to pull these obscene ideas, as well as knowing when and if she can perform a certain skill combo. |

Biography
Adam Shoji was born into a middle class family living in Leeds. His family was abnormally normal- he went to the local school, earned himself grades ranging from A to C, and didn't paint himself a target. He had friends, a couple 'enemies,' and grand time playing video games. In high school, Adam began playing fighting games, and learned that he had a natural skill at them. He decided to foster this skill throughout high school, and college, in which he studied automobile engineering. Shortly thereafter, he moved to London in search of both a job and a better scene for his gaming. He found both of these things, but a wrist injury in a car accident disallowed him from being able smash his opponents in fast paced fighting games. So, looking for a game more suited for his taste, he stumbled upon the MMO scene, and subsequently, Elder Tale.
Taking up the moniker Aenna, Adam took the original European server by storm, leveling up at an insane pace. Reaching level ninety with artifact ranked gear, Aenna decided that she needed to make a name for herself. Gathering one of the smallest raid groups at the time, she took on a summer event raid the moment it launched, the Flames of Sol. While the big guilds were still setting up, Aenna sprinted ahead with her ragtag party. Having no real trouble with the mobs, the group found themselves at the end boss. In a battle that nearly tripled their clear time, the group found themselves victorious, with zero casualties to the players, and quite a large amount of damage inflicted by a lone player, Aenna. The party disbanded soon after, but the tale of the raid quickly spread across much of the server, and the Crimson Blur was a common sight for a while. Her popularity soon faded, however, but Adam wanted that recognition back. If he couldn't be the best fighter in the world, the best Elder Tale player would work just as well.

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Swashbuckler
Fencer Style: A passive skill that activates when the swashbuckler is only equipping a single one-handed weapon and nothing in their off hand, increasing the attack damage of their one-handed weapon. Dual wielding has its merits in granting the swashbuckler with an opportunity to apply two different effects to the opponent upon a successful hit, while fighting with the Fencing Style sacrifices this versatility for a greater form of fighting stability.
Quick Swap: A skill that facilitates the quick switching of equipment from the user's equipment to their inventory. While many characters use quick slots in order to swap out their weapons, this requires a manual action. The use of Quick Swap does this exchange automatically. This switching can only be done with two equipment sets at a time, both of which are registered prior to the start of battle. When Quick Swap is used, the current equipment set will be swapped out to the other set designated by the skill. Due to the nature of this skill, it is best used by characters of the Weapon Specialist classes. This skill has an animation time of 1 second. Its cooldown if used by a Weapon Specialist class is 30 seconds which increases to 60 seconds if used by any other class.
Starights: A skill with a 1 second animation time and 5 second cooldown that is very characteristic of its name. This ability causes the Swashbuckler's weapon to glow a golden color as it extends an additional four feet for the duration of an attack. It is initiated by suddenly clenching the weapon very tightly while in mid-swing or mid-thrust. Ranged weapons and grimoires are not affected by this skill. Players wielding two weapons cannot have both weapons be affected by this skill, so it is best used as a follow-up chained strike to prevent the opponent from keeping their distance. After this skill is used, the weapon's attack value decreases for a few seconds, making it unwise to carelessly spam the skill.
Roleplay Class: Berserker
Outrage: In times of desperation, the Berserker's physical abilities start to shine. When the Berserker's HP falls below 25%, their damage output increases by 5%. When the Berserker's HP falls below 10%, their damage output increases by 10% instead.
Crafting Class: Mechanic
Disassembly: Toggle skill. Mechanics have a certain affinity with taking apart machines, so monsters that are mechanical in nature had better watch out. Mechanics deal 20% more damage to Machine-type monsters. They can also cancel buffs on Machine-type monsters upon a successful hit.
