Celbrimbor Faction - Elf - Swashbuckler - Acrobat - Blacksmith - ♂ [attr="class","equipicon"] [attr="class","equipdescription"]Armor Name: Starter Leather Armor A basic set of soft leather armor made from cheap leather. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","equipicon"] [attr="class","equipdescription"]Weapon Name: Level 4 Katana A traditional Japanese weapon with a single edge. Slightly better than the previous rendition, though it still won't do in many future battles. Crafted by the hand of the user, this blade is designed to better fit the creator's hand, and boasts better control. A customized blade is always the best. [attr="class","equipicon"] [attr="class","equipdescription"]Weapon Name: Starter Katana A traditional Japanese weapon with a single edge. A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. Straight FACE-CLAIM. Klein SERIES/ARTIST. SAO PLAYED BY. Crispy [attr="class","infotitle"]Appearance [attr="class","infobox"] Francis, before entering Elder Tale was of decent height standing at about 6' 2” on height and was of a heavier build, his arms were well built though he was not one to actually do much exercise leading to him having some weight to his middle. Due to his time working metal he does have a few burn scars on his arms where a spark or hot metal might have touched to exposed skin. His eyes were of a unique hazel hue that seemed to shift in color between yellow and green depending on the lighting he was standing in. His vision was rather horrible leading to him wearing glasses at all times. His hair was a light brown that seems to be a few shades darker than blonde but not by much. As to what he would often be found in, it seemed he had no distinct style ranging from jeans and a polo shirt on the average day to jeans and a long sleeve shirt and a thick leather apron and gloves while working steel. Due to his hobby one might often see him covered in soot or sweat from spending time in the forge but his enjoyment of feed seemed to counter the work and heat of the forge at every turn Within the the lands of Elder Tale, his avatar is a lot different, the height has stayed the same, though the color of hair has been shifted to an almost fire red that is held back by a red cloth around his forehead. Their are some spikes within the hair and it has decent length though not enough to cause much trouble. He has no visible scars on his avatar, though he did choose to put some scars on the upper torso of the avatar during creation. The body seems to have a burn over his left shoulder though more often than not people will not notice. As for clothing he tends to prefer lighter armors feeling that anything heavy would only slow him and make him a worse fighter. This has lead to him wearing simple clothing with a preference towards clothing with either fire like appearances of red in color. When working he will be found in thick gloves and and apron as he works a forge in order to protect himself from burns... He often carries his swords across his back though he will at times change how he carries them depending on how he wished to draw them at any given time... Starting Appearance [attr="class","infotitle"]Personality [attr="class","infobox"] A young man, confident for his age but not necessarily in touch with emotions. He is often withdrawn and even more often confused by people at large. His confidence is not all encompassing, but rather focused and finite towards things that he actually knows and understands, where as with things that he does not get... he will not only admit to a lack of understanding but also seek to know the answer to it. As such one might see him at times as Driven or arrogant depending on what he is doing or what he might be looking into but he really is neither. This is because he understands his limits in himself and when he lacks the information to do something. Due to his need for knowledge he has developed a need to pursue what he might see as perfection but often he might get distracted from that pursuit by a simple question of Will it work of more corrects Does something work? If for some reason he decides logic itself does not hold to that train of research he will abandon it or put it aside as it makes no sense. This means, that while he himself would rather not lead due to a combination of shyness and a simple lack of social skills he does tend to think as an individual rather than in a group dynamic. This tends to make him do things his own way which may in fact be contrary to what society might expect or want as he knows, based upon his own knowledge that his way is more viable than that which society offers. Even with himself shy and socially awkward he can be a team player, and in school proved that he was both reliable and imaginative leading to extremely interesting thought as times. He will see a project and others might see what they need to do but he might see a way to make it better. However he also tends to feel horribly overburdened when he feels others have not pulled own weight in a project, due to his own personal drive it can at times cause friction as he tends to live for his project regardless of how much time he has for one he tends to focus almost unerringly at it. He is also extremely overcritical of his own actions and the effects it might have on his work and other people. In the broadest of terms he is the type of person that does what he knows without any thought of who or what might be in way. In terms of relationships, he is emotionally closed off and short of his relationship with his mother has not had a viable relationship on an emotional basis with anyone in his life. This is not due to a lack of understanding as he does intellectually understand the need for human interaction and the desire to be around people... he just doesn’t interact well due to at times an inability to communicate. Gaming freed him from pieces of this but their was no emotional connection only verbal interaction and that was often in his mind character driven rather than personally driven. If he was to actually develop a personal relationship with a person they would find him to be unerringly protective of the other person almost like family. He would also be loyal to a fault to these people though he doesn't fully understand how to open up or really do the friendship thing as he really never did it... [attr="class","infotitle"]History [attr="class","infobox"] The Year, 1990 or rather the end of it December 13th in the midst of a New York Winter one Francis Dwayne Montgomery was born. His mother was a politician, often serving the United Kingdom as an Ambassador or any of a dozen other positions within Embassies or other locations ran by the country. Her name was Rosemary Elaine Montgomery and her husband had been a soldier, where he died was never actually disclosed to her due to his own career within the SAS... Safe to sat it was a mission well above her security clearance as all she was told was the man that was her husband and the son of her child had dies a hero. Francis was named after this lost hero, but he never had a chance to meet the man, sure their would be a picture on the wall of a man in uniform hair cut close and deep dark eyes staring out as he stood next to a young brunette, his mother... But knowing the man he was named after was something he never got to have. The first two years of his life was one living in the United States... His mother trying split time between raising an infant and doing her job she was eventually replaced and called back home... Oh sure the nanny helped to care for him in those first two years but a nanny was neither a mother or a father. In England he was able to have more time with his mother, her job being less taxing on her time in their home country allowing her the time and ability to actually raise her son. Yet their was a nanny within the home to watch the boy as she did her work but she was always home for dinner and always put her young son to bed. It was in this time that he fell in love with his first fantastical realm... Happenstance perhaps was the choosing of the Hobbit for the book he wished his mother to read to him... but the story was one he relished with each night. Stories of Trolls turning to stone, and Dwarves riding in Ale barrels to escape Elves... It was a story worth the telling and only sparked his imagination... A ring, his fathers only wedding band in fact became the magic ring of the tale and he would often exclaim when he put the oversized golden band upon his tiny fingers that he was Bilbo and that his mother could not see him. This happy life at home eventually ended... and with it the long frozen dark of the Embassy in Russia. For the next few years he entered into his first years of education and due to this he also learned some small smatterings of the language as well. Not to say he ever became what he felt to be called fluent but he was passable by the time they returned to England a few years later. He was able, from that point, to continue his education in England and he also discovered a few other Fantasy authors and tales in that time. The Sword of Truth and The Sword of Shannara were among the few that he delved into... though to be fair Shannara was more than a single book. Sure he loved his mother but in those worlds he found something he lacked in his every day life... men of worth that were heroes and he would often wonder if his father was like the King of Gondor wielding Anduril as he assaulted the black gate. Moving again at the age of 12 he was sent off to the states once more to see the land in which he was brought to life. He continued reading and found such things as Elves and Dragons all the more interesting as he grew... To be fair, moving as often as he had made it that much more difficult to make friends, he was shy and withdrawn not really seeking people out so much as hiding within the pages of books. Within a few years he found himself in Japan... and here he discovered the JRPG... A branch of the RPG genre he spent a large amount of time playing the games even as his time in the schools allowed him to learn some of the language... Perhaps what drew his attention the most was a man that lived a few blocks away hidden away in an alley. The man was older but not really old and he was a smith... not really following any specific school of the old ways as the man referred to call it at times. But he did make swords and having spent as much time within the worlds of fantasy seeing a blade made was fascinating... this perhaps was the first time he was truly drawn to a man in the real world if only from seeing the man work steel into works of art. He never entered a true apprenticeship but the man never turned the youngster away either. Yet even that was to end as soon enough he and his mother returned to England as he himself graduated from Primary education and prepared to enter into University. The question he asked himself was what did he want to be... and he had no answer his interests were rather simple... swords, books and games. He was by this time spending free time in MMORPG's though none had truly brought out his desire to join the world quite in the same manner as the books themselves did. He decided to study Literature, and more than that he took classes in geology and chemistry, why he could never understand it but perhaps it was simply an interest in swords that drew him to it. So between gaming, and his own research into sword craft along with schooling he spent the next 4 years learning and messing around with pieces of metal in a small forge he had made in his back yard... hardly well made but it allowed him to experiment with things... Things continued like this as he changed his major almost seemingly at random and never really reaching a point of graduating... it almost seemed as if he was fickle in his path or more that nothing seemed to keep his attention. It was at around the age of 28 that something caught his eye, a game that had existed for years that he had never played was getting a new server for Britain itself... interested and bored of any other game he had played he sat down upon its release... and woke up someplace new... what is to come and what has already been is a question yet to be asked... [attr="class","bigheader]Skills [attr="class","columnheader"]MAIN CLASS SKILLs [attr="class","columnheader"]SUB-CLASS CLASS SKILLs [attr="class","columnheader"]CRAFTING CLASS SKILLs [attr="class","column"] Main Class Skills: -Ambidexterity Prime: The Swashbuckler's signature starting ability. It allows the Swashbuckler to dual wield two weapons without suffering any accuracy penalties as a result. The condition is that the class itself is one of the rare classes to be unable to effectively wield two-handed weapons. -Quick Play: Swashbucklers have long been associated with one concept. Speed. Their experienced movements enhance attack speed for physical attacks by 5% for their party. Multiple instances of this skill do not stack. -Mirage Dealer: Dual wield skill. The Swashbuckler performs a forward X-slash with their two weapons to slash at an opponent, then immediately teleports a meter forward. This usually places them behind the enemy, allowing them to either bypass their line or enable them to continue attacking before the enemy realizes what just happened. Because of the flashiness of this skill, it's a popular technique among aspiring warriors. Try not to use it while the opponent's at the edge of a cliff or right against a wall, though. You'll either plummet to your death or crash face-first into a wall. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 8 seconds. -Viper Raise: An attack that targets the arm tendons. A successful hit will result in gradual damage over time due to a bleeding effect, which is accommodated by the wound area seeping out a constant trail of blood. Despite the move's somewhat gory animation, this bleeding effect is fairly minor and scales in a manner similarly to a poison effect. Also, for the next 10 seconds, the target's attack speed will be decreased by 10% due to the pain associated with moving the arms. This skill has a 2 second animation time and a 9 second cooldown. -Fold Step: Using this skill, the user's body suddenly is propelled and accelerates in a desired direction. It is often used as a surprise burst of momentum when delivering an attack or used as a last-ditch dodging maneuver. The only downside to this technique is that once activated, the swashbuckler cannot stop or adjust their trajectory. It should be noted that if this skill is used for an attack, the momentum from initiating the attack will not increase damage in any way. It merely allows the Swashbuckler to quickly close in on the opponent for a possible surprise attack. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 6 seconds. -Straights: A skill with a 1 second animation time and 5 second cooldown that is very characteristic of its name. This ability causes the Swashbuckler's weapon to glow a golden color as it extends an additional four feet for the duration of an attack. It is initiated by suddenly clenching the weapon very tightly while in mid-swing or mid-thrust. Ranged weapons and grimoires are not affected by this skill. Players wielding two weapons cannot have both weapons be affected by this skill, so it is best used as a follow-up chained strike to prevent the opponent from keeping their distance. After this skill is used, the weapon's attack value decreases for a few seconds, making it unwise to carelessly spam the skill. -Skill: Description -Skill: Description [attr="class","column"] Crafting Class Skills: -Heat Sink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. -Skill: Description -Skill: Description -Skill: Description [attr="class","column"] Sub Class Skills: -High Jump: Passive. One of the most basic tricks of the Acrobat's specialty is their ability to jump greater heights than any average person. The Acrobat's maximum jumping height is doubled. While this skill might seem otherwise mundane, it can allow one to reach places that would be difficult for many others. -Skill: Description -Skill: Description -Skill: Description |
