Noctis hadn't done a whole lot of exploring of the town around him. Probably not the best idea, not only was he in a whole new world, but the layout was completely foreign to him as well. He lived no where near London in real life, what being across the Atlantic and halfway across the continent, everything would have seemed alien even if the world didn't change. Not only this, but his new body still didn't fully fit him. The proportions were longer than those of his real life body, the low HP of not only picking a mage, but a Race of Ritual left him feeling slightly weaker physically than he was used to. He wasn't necessarily buff in his real body, but he had some strength to it, knew how to use it.
There I go again, he thought to himself, berating himself. What do I mean by real body? Isn't this what's real now?
He looked down at his arms and hands. Covered in runic tattoos, all stitched together. He had meant to create a darker appearing character, but if he had known this would be the outcome...
He sighed, the stitches at the corners of his mouth being slightly itchy as they stretched with his mouth's movements. He still couldn't seem to get used to it. He was sure that he seemed as strange in this world, even filled with all sorts of players finding themselves as their characters. As he walked he stumbled a bit over his own feet, still trying to get the hang of his new 5'10" height. He looked around, casting his violet and gold speckled eyes around the street. It had been a while now for most people. many having gotten the hang of things at this point, adapted to the new world and its laws. It made Noctis feel even more depressed than when he first went into hiding after finding himself in this situation. Now, not only was he in a strange world, but he had little if anyone to relate to.
Nonetheless he walked on, finding his way slowly to a less busy street, one that rang of small town charm even in its slightly dilapidated state. A coffee and cake store sat on the street corner, the sound of jazz and swing flowing from its open doors. A few food vendors sat peddling ice cream and small confectioneries along the roadway. There was a sound of laughter and contentment in the air that Noctis hadn't felt in quite a while, and to be honest, he actually enjoyed it. He felt himself getting happier almost as he stopped in the middle of the street to just look up and take it all in.
