She had first appeared in this world, a blade within her grasp. Without even knowing it, she had already started to learn her way through the city. Royah wandered the streets for a while, though she had heard of some kind of beings that were not frequented among the usual passersby. Having heard of these people, she happened upon a person who was loudly speaking about these sages, or something of that kind. It wasn't all that much longer until she had found what appeared to be a gathering of sorts, what she assumed was these sages that she had heard about. Without wanting to take much more time out of her life to find them, she decided to hurry over to the crowd, and listen to these people. Her arms flew back behind her, as she performed something like a ninja-dash.
The medium-sized girl found her way through the people, not saying much of anything. It was at this moment that she had realized she wasn't in a good spot at all to see these sages from, and decided that she might try and get a bit higher up. But, this was proving to be more difficult, as she found that there wasn't anywhere else where she could just jump up and sit, or find some kind of a place where she could stand up above the rest of the people. However, this was when she had found a cloaked individual, who turned to her, looking directly into her eyes. The being was covered in wrappings, as far as she could tell, and from there she could not discern a gender. The being looked at her, and spoke.
"Do you require to view this gathering, young one?" They asked, their tone calm. Even from their voice, Royah could not tell what gender they were. Either way, though, she simply nodded to the individual, little confirmation grunts being made as she did so. The cloaked person then moved a little to the side, motioning next to them. They were offering that she stand next to them. Moving up next to this person, Royah stood and looked around. She saw that there was another cloaked person in the middle of the ring of people, who was also surrounded by other people that looked the same. Come to think of it, the person that she was standing next to was also wearing a cloak, just like their's. Just as Royah was about to say something about this, the cloaked person in the center of the ring began to talk.
"Greetings, weary travelers." They began. Was this a society for the genderly anonymous? She could not tell what they were, or even where they were coming from with all this. Their voices all seemed to be the same. "I come bringing tidings of adventure, for any who see fit to take us up on our task. We are the sages of the Messier Order, and we have recently unearthed a tablet from the ancient times of the Alvs. As we were excited to observe it more closely, and find out the secrets it holds, we were baffled when we could not even finish reading it, as it had been broken into pieces and erode, over the years that it had been sitting in the place from whence we bring it: the Thames Coastline. This is why we come to you, brave adventurers and fearless warriors: We have a task for you." Royah listened closely, as the man/woman continued to explain.

The man/woman robe person raised their hands into the air, and spoke louder to the crowd that had gathered around them. "I present unto you, the tablet! We ask you all to go to the Thames Coastline, and attempt to find the pieces that have been lost to the elements, long ago!" The speaker brought up a stone plate that didn't look like any kind of tablet she had ever seen. Most tablets Royah had seen were usually rather shiny, and had some kind of memory, RAM, or other computer talk things in them. This one was a legitimate tablet, with ancient writing all across it. This would be difficult to find the pieces of, especially if she didn't know where exactly to look. She was given the area of the Thames Coastline, but she didn't know specifically where.
It was at this moment that Royah looked back and saw the being that had been standing next to her, cloaked in robes much like the stars, had been placing a staff or rod of some sort into her hand. Looking down at it for a moment, she was confused, until she looked up at the cloaked person, who held a finger up to what she supposed would have been their mouth. "Tell no one, but this Divining Rod will help you find what it is you are looking for. Use it. Trust in it. And allow it to help you find what we seek." Without another word, the being slipped away into the crowd, leaving Royah more than confused. She overheard something about coming back once the object had been found, but she didn't know what exactly to do from there. What was this divining rod for? Cleaning the beach?
Still a confused look on her face, she began to watch as a bunch of people began to flock toward the exit of the square. Instinctively, Royah went to hide the rod somewhere in her inventory, despite how dirty that sentence sounded. She looked around again, to see that she wasn't being watched by anybody or any thing. Once she made sure that she was in the clear for now, she decided to move away from the square, and devise a plan of action. After having heard everything from that sage person in the middle, she knew that she might as well give this quest thing a shot. Whether she felt it was the best thing for her to do or not wasn't really in question, since she just wanted to have something to do to level up a bit. This seemed like the best excuse to do so for now.
Making up her mind to try this out, Royah began to head toward the docks of the city of Londinium, and try to find a way to get to the Thames Coastline before others had a chance to get there. However, she found herself on the opposite side from where she needed to go, in order to reach the coastline. Feeling slightly stupid for just a brief moment, she started to dash toward the direction she needed to go. Out of the city, and out to the coast, where she would begin her search for this piece of the tablet, which was somehow very important to these other people. She didn't understand even a bit of it, but experience was experience to her. She just needed to level up, not get attached to the lore. Royah continued on her way, to the beach front of Thames.

The girl had returned to the sage that she had met before. She had spoken with them about what she was supposed to do now, that she had fixed up the piece that they wanted fixed. After that, she very loudly proclaimed that they needed to give much better directions as to how and why the divining rod was to be used. Using that wasn't even much of a question to her, since she had stumbled upon the artifact in question by accident. After having given the sage an earful of that, she began to listen to the person talk about the next thing that she needed to do. Royah made sure to ask the genderless individual what exactly to do, since she wanted to be as clear as possible with the instructions she would be given.
The sage began to tell her a story about the order's origins and what it was that the tablet was telling them about. Something about a temple or whatever, a fountain, that had to deal with this ancient civilization, where nothing really important happened. At least, in her mind. She still listened, though, to make sure that she got all the details that she needed, and wouldn't be left with absolutely nothing to go off of, when the time came to actually go to the place in question. Either way, it ended up not being as important as it was supposed to be, except for one thing that she needed to find, called the Pebble of Philosophy. Why was a pebble called something as extravagant as that, but didn't hold any real meaning at all? It baffled her endlessly.
She was given the name of the place, called Ultima Thule, and was asked to go check this place for the rock of destiny. The only reason that she could even get to it was because the storms surrounding the thing were just clearing up enough to be able to access it. Magic, probably. Had to do with magic. Either way, Royah agreed to go on this mystical journey, where she would likely have to look around until she found the object that she was asked to find. Leaving the sage behind, she made sure that she knew everything she needed to know. Once she confirmed that, she continued on her way, out of the city. She would need to go over some water in order to get to the place, but that didn't seem like it would be much of an issue. This is London. There are boats. Pick one, borrow it, bring it back. That's just how it would work.
