Crim stood inside the town square and practiced his barrier timing. He needed to get that down before anything else. He cast the spell and was tapped on the should as he did. "Hello there! Can I show you something?" An old man dressed in blue professional-looking robes stood there behind me with a smile. Crim looked the old man over. He had short grey thin hair barely covering his head and a very short grey beard. The man's hazel eyes looked at Crim with a near excitement. Crim nodded. "Sure, what is it?" The old man seemed to gather a strange substance out of the air around Crim. "This is a fragile crystal that melts upon contact with the body. It is called a Mana Fragment. It can be used as a source of fuel for certain kinds of technology. Here, you try. Cast your spell against and then mimic what I did. Gather the residual mana from the spell." Crim looked at the fragment curiously. "It was alchemy. Crim picked alchemy as a subclass, but it was very strange that this man of the land must have known or made a crazy guess. Crim did as the old man said. He cast his barrier spell and began to gather the residual mana around him. Crim assumed it was going to be weird or awkward, but it was like he already knew how to do it. Must have been because his character was programmed that way. Crim help up the mana fragment and smile. "I did it." The old wispy-haired man smiled at him with crooked teeth. "Great, I hate to teach you and then ask you for your assistance, but I need an adventurer to help me out at my shop. I will pay you some gold for your time and you can make these and a few other things while you're at it." Crim could use the gold. He wasn't having very much success adventuring. This would be his ticket to getting some easy cash. "neep bitches, get money." The old man was puzzled, but nodded. "This way then!"

The shop was a lively place. Customers where in and out. Adventurer's from the Crafting guilds came in and out for materials and to check pricing. The place was booming to say the least. A stone brick built building still covered in the large vines that covered everything here. The building wasn't very large, but it had a basement and a second floor. the basement was lined wall to wall with shelving for stock. The first floor had your common ingredients and basic needs for your everyday low level crafter. The second floor had more of your non basic needs. That floor was mostly all for advanced alchemists or for others who used the more potent mana fragments. It was a homely place and very welcoming. Crim had a few ideas for renovation, but he had just arrived. He didn't want the old man to depend on him too much and he also didn't want to over step his bounds. Crim's personality for his game character was supposed to be lazy and flirty, but his inner business men was coming out. He would have to put a lid on that for now.

Crim stood at the counter and helped sell things and assist customers. Crim had done sales before. In the real world he owned his own business. A gaming cafe. It was the love of his life. The thing that hurt the most was thinking that he wasn't able to get back there and make sure it was run properly. For all he knew, it had been shut down after his disappearance. He could only hope that his friends and partners didn't let that happen. Crim had some amazing friends and business partners. surely they could run the place without him. He shook his head of the thought and helped another customer. "That will be three gold. Are you sure you don't want to get this? It's two gold more, but the quality is worth triple the listed price. It's a better deal for your gold." The guy made the new deal and left a satisfied customer. "Done this before?" The old man asked as he brought more product out for Crim to stock. "Yes, I used to have my own business before the.. you know." The old man nodded. It can be a burden sometimes. I can only imagine what it's like to be transported out of one world and into another." Crim nodded. "Yes, it is strange to say the least." Crim began stocking up on bottles.
