Appearance Byron sports a fairly lean physique for a Guardian, but does possess some very broad shoulders and a slightly above-average height of 5'11". He weighs nearly 190 lbs. He has but one scar from the real world that transferred over to Elder Tale when he was trapped in the game: a small indentation on his left cheek where a quarter horse clipped him with its hoof. His eyes are squinted and narrow, but if you would ever see them fully open, you would see that they are colored a brilliant shade of hazel. Other than his eyes and the scar, Byron bears little resemblance to his real-life self. His dark-green hair is mostly kempt. He styles it by parting his bangs and framing them around his temples. Byron is often regarded as a gentleman by the way he holds his head up high and stands up with perfectly straight posture. He also has a tendency to tuck his left hand behind his back as he walks. His natural gait is slow and methodical, but still very laid-back. When relaxing in town, Byron prefers to wear simple trousers, loafers, and a dark-green turtleneck that matches his hair color. Although they might seem stuffy and uncomfortable, Byron never seems to mind wearing them all the time at all. His style and physical portrayal fully reflect his personality in-game. What you see is what you should expect: a simple gentleman all across the board. | Personality Although he shows a great amount of formal etiquette and politeness, Byron tends to hold others at arms length and never actively seeks companionship. He is outwardly calm and level-headed no matter what the situation may be. He is also a logical thinker, but bears enough empathy and sensitivity to take human emotions and how other people feel into account when making decisions. However, it seems Byron prefers a more carefree attitude toward most aspects of life and rarely concerns himself with such things. Despite having a sharp perception of other people's character, Byron is rarely judgmental and accepting of others for who they are even if their beliefs clash with his own (unless it puts others at risk of injury). He tends to go with the flow, but draws the line at intentional harm (physically or mentally) and lying to others. He has an upstanding nature, but acts with tact and humility. In groups, Byron is a supportive and very goal-oriented, meaning he always works toward the end-product. He has always been described as a patient and compassionate mentor, but it seems he dislikes teaching and shows no interest in doing so unless asked by a friend. |

Biography
Born to a pair of wealthy and hard-working parents, Harvey was expected to follow suit even from a young age. He went to public school and excelled in most subjects until high school. He was regarded as a book nerd and shunned out of jealousy for his high grades even when he tried to explain that it was only because of his parents that he did so well. Low scores on tests (anything less than a 'B') were answered with harsh punishment such as remedial education (after school) with private tutors. One of these, an aspiring Calculus teacher, came to be one of his only friends despite their age differences. The tutor came around often because Harvey struggled in math much of the time, and it was through him that Harvey first learned of Elder Tale. He told Harvey that it was a great way to relieve stress and escape the rigors of reality every once in a while. With this in mind and anxiety reaching a critical level, Harvey secretly downloaded the game onto his computer (something meant to be used only as an academic reference) and began to play.
For years Harvey struggled between achieving the educational perfection that his parents demanded and adventuring in Elder Tale. Eventually he graduated High School and started the grand undertaking that was College. His parents were shocked, however, to find that their son was pursuing a major in Creative Writing and Literature. They threatened to cut him off from them financially, but before they could officially do so Harvey left them of his own volition. He was granted a scholarship to attend College anyway and worked a part-time job to make the rest of his ends meet. He kept little contact with his family and revolved between class, work, and gaming for four straight years. So it was that Harvey eventually gained his Bachelor's Degree at the age of Twenty-Two. To celebrate his achievement and begin a new chapter in his life, Harvey opted to create an entirely new character for Elder Tale and dive into the new expansion, Novasphere Pioneers, with a clean slate.
He never expected to find himself trapped inside his favorite game. At least not as a fresh, untested, level-one character...

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Guardian
Sword Rain Flurry: The user pierces the target in rapid succession, usually amounting to an initial five stabs plus an additional one every 20 levels. Sword Rain Flurry is an adapted version of the Swashbuckler's Dart-Tack Target, only performed with the intention of damaging the target rather than simply diverting its attention. Despite its name, this skill can be performed with any weapon type although thrusting-type weapons often perform most optimally. Each strike deals a moderate amount of damage, but the main downside is that the user is locked into this animation until the move is completed. This skill has a total animation time of 3 seconds. Its cooldown time is 10 seconds.
Knight's Heart: Toggle skill. Conventions of medieval warfare made it so that even the most heavily-armored knights tended to become the most difficult to take down, thanks to their trusty mounts. These teachings form the basis of this skill. While almost essentially a must-have for Guardian-Cavalier hybrids, it is still a fairly useful skill in the right circumstances. This skill raises the Guardian's aggro-attracting presence while in a mounted state. If this skill is used by a Guardian whose subclass is Cavalier, then they also raise a 10% bonus to their attack speed while mounted.
Resilience: A passive ability of the Guardian. Due to their highly defensive class role, their HP regenerates faster outside of battle compared to other classes. Additionally, they regenerate a small amount of HP within battle, every couple of seconds. This passive battle healing is not very high, but it might prove to save one's life in the long run.
Level 4 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 4.
Level 7 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 7.
Level 10 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 10.
Level 13 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 13.
Level 16 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 16.
Level 19 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 19.
Level 22 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 22.
Level 25 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 25.
Level 28 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 28.
Level 31 Tier II Skill: A skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. The skill may be either a Tier I or II skill. Unlocked at Level 31.
Roleplay Class: Cavalier
Jousting: The Cavalier's specialization in horseback combat is revealed in their greater proficiency of lance combat. Any two-handed spears or polearms wielded by the Cavalier become one-handed while they are mounted. Additionally, if the Cavalier's main class would normally penalize them from using spears or polearms, this skill allows them to use spears and polearms without penalty.
Crafting Class: Artisan
Carving: Toggle skill. Artisans have a certain affinity with carving stone, making their normal artistic talents not to be underestimated in battle. Artisans deal 20% more damage to Rock-type monsters. They can also ignore defense buffs on Rock-type monsters.
