She didn't really understand it, the whole process of leveling up the skills she had been born with, but ever since the Adventurers had come, the lives of Landers had changed drastically. Now, instead of living peacefully with what they had, they were forced to follow in the footsteps of those disgusting creatures. They had no choice but to do what they did, else they be left behind, so she didn't really have a choice when it came down to it. She had to learn from them or force herself to become nothing, but she couldn't do that, not if she wanted to complete her goal. She took in a deep breath and looked around at the small abandoned cottage. She wasn't from around here, but she needed to get away. She needed to relinquish herself from the eyes and ears and voices of the Adventurers. There were just so many that she couldn't take it any longer.
Aelin found the little abandoned house on the in skirts of Grain Village. It was remote from the village itself and quiet. She was in her glory. She had to get to work if she wanted to keep up with those she hated, and the time to do that was now. She pulled the needle and thread from the basket she had brought, along with the first piece of fabric she had purchased. It was a long piece of light tanned wool. The color was quite drab, but the texture had felt amazing and she truly needed a blanket. The inn she was forced to stay in had the smallest of sheets and she cursed her father for the pale of her skin as it normally meant that she would live a life of cold nights. She didn't have much muscle on her either so it was even more torturous. She spent more time brooding and hating the adventurers than filling her belly, so she was unusually thin. It didn't matter though. She would eat when the time came, and it would certainly be coming soon, or so she hoped.
She began by pulling the thread through the needle's hole and tying it up as to not fall through. The thread was decently thick, so it would hopefully hold up longer than the regular sized thread. She folded the fabric over just slightly and ran her needle through it. She began stitching a narrow zigzag stitch, zigging and zagging all along the side of what would be the bottom of her blanket. She wanted it to be cozy and warm as the cold weather had just begun. It would continue to get colder and colder from here on out and she couldn't help but be afraid that she would get sick, or worse. It wasn't something she could think of easily, especially because she hated the cold so much. Just the thought of the cold made her bones become stiff, begging for warmth, but she let herself get engrossed in her work. If she didn't, she feared she might run right back to the inn she was forced to stay at. She was lucky that she had been able to earn any keep at all, so really, she couldn't complain, though she most certainly would anyways.
She ended her stitch at the bottom of the first side and then made her way to starting the bottom, or top. It was a blanket, so she didn't really think it had a bottom or top. Perhaps once she was better, she could make a better one with a cute design on it or something, but for now, she just needed anything. She continued her zigzag stitch until it was completed on each side. It had barely taken up any time at all and she would be happy to wrap it around her once it was finished as the old abandoned house wasn't extremely warm, far from it actually. It was freezing, but she didn't have any candles or anything to light. There wasn't anything she could do for warmth, and she still had much to do if she wanted to keep up with her goals. This was probably the sole reason for her beginning this project first. She needed to keep the heat in her body, in her body and was having a hard time doing that with just her dress and apron. It wasn't the most proper of clothing, but it was all she had. Perhaps once she got better, she could do as those pesky Adventurers did. She could make an entire wardrobe!

With the wool pieces stitching finished, it was time to move onto her second part, or second layer. Yes, the coat that she had seen had had different layers. It had been fuzzy and warm, like the wool, on the inside and thick with hide on the out side. Though she hated the adventurers for what they had done to her family, her home, she had to admit that the coat was quite cute. She wouldn't have minded being able to make one for herself. She hoped that one day she could do that, though if her plans were to succeed, it might not grant her the chance. Either way, she could hope for all she wanted, even if it was something so petty as a coat, or other clothing, or a blanket. With that thought, she pulled her second piece of fabric from her large basket. This material was called hide. Apparently it had come from a pitted boar, or so the vendor had told her. Those vendors though, they could be quite manipulative to get more for what they had. She didn't mind though, as long as they were people of the Land. They were the only people she would buy from, ever. The fabric was thick, much like that of the outer layer of the coat. This would stop any cool breezes from making it's way to her pale, thin skin. She ran her hand over the smooth feeling and brought the next piece of thread to her needle. This time, she would make a cross stitch as the material was much thicker than that of the wool. The thread had to be able to hold the hide together at the edges, and then be brought together with the wool. She had to be careful in how she did it, considering it was her first time at this sort of project. She crossed the needle, bringing it through the thick hide, pulling on it rather hard. This would take more time than the wool had, but it was alright. She was driven to get it done, and her next project before the sun went down. She would more than likely spend the night in the abandoned house so that she could continue her secret training, but she left that thought for when it happened. She continued to cross her stitches as she went from one side to the next. She didn't understand why, but it was a rather tiresome task. The needle and thread had had no problems going through the wool, but with the hide, it was proving to be a much more difficult task. She sighed and then let out a soft yelp as she looked down to what she had done. She pulled the needle from her finger and blood began to flow lightly out from the small prick in her skin. She cursed and stuck her finger in her mouth. She had been careless, thinking about the difficulty in her task, instead of paying close attention to what she was doing and now she was paying for it. It didn't matter though. She took her finger from her mouth, waited to see what would happen, and when no blood came from the small hole, she continued sewing. Once all four edges had been stitched, she put the two layers together. Laying the wool, stitch up, on the floor, she laid the hide, stitch down, over top. Very carefully, she threaded the needle and went to work. The first side didn't matter too much, but she knew that once she got to the next side, she had to make sure the stitching pulled the two layers tightly together, else it would fall apart. She continued the cross stitch, but this time cross stitching the wool along with the hide. It deemed to be tough, but she made her way through. She finished off the first side and moved to the next. She pulled the two layers tightly as she sewed, making sure that they would stay together. She focused all of her energy into the threading, needing to make sure that it held without fail. Once all four sides were complete, she stared at her finished product. Aelin's eyebrow rose at the sight and she picked it up, staring at it. Though the two layers were stitched so tightly, she could pull them apart in the middle. She clenched her teeth, hating that it was like that and pulled some more thread through her needle. She wouldn't have it like that. She began by stitching lines up and down, making sure to pierce both layers. She was making more work for herself than needed, but she couldn't stand the sight of what she had made. It wouldn't ever be perfect, but it could be better. Once she had stitched five lines going long, she began stitching lines across them. She kept with the cross stitching as it would look much better than the zigzag stitch. Once she was finished, five lines down and seven across, she pulled on the middle again. This time, it came apart only a little and she was finally satisfied with it. This was the finished product, a sort of quilt, without being a quilt. Even still, the blanket would hold quite strong and even better, it would keep her warm. The blanket was long enough to cover her entire body and could even be wrapped around her small frame. Sleeping in the old abandoned house and the chilly inn wouldn't be a problem now! She wrapped the blanket around her shoulders and sighed at the soft feeling of the wool on her skin. What a great idea it had been. Now, she could really dive into her work and keep at it without the fear of catching an illness from the cold. She pulled out her next piece of fabric, a soft tanned piece of hide and threaded the dark brown colored thread through her needle. She was now ready to begin. Shuffling to get her blanket closer to her, Aelin began working on her next project. She had some things she needed to hold and she was sure that the basket she had 'borrowed' from the inn was more than suspicious. She did want to give it back, but she needed something else to be able to carry her things around in. She had gotten another idea from one of those stupid adventurers. The were carrying a bag that went over their shoulder. She was sure that she could craft one just like it, well, without the expensive cloth. The bag she had seen was blue with a black flap. It looked very stylish next to the blue armor that the man- No. She cut herself off. It wasn't stylish at all.. Once she got better, she could make a much, much better bag than what that thing had had. She couldn't bring herself to compliment the adventurers more than she already had. It just couldn't be done and she truly wouldn't allow herself to stoop so low as to appreciate the works of those demon spawns! They had taken everything from her and she truly believed that she would never forgive them for what they had done. She shook her head and took a deep breath. She blew it out softly, forcing her mind to calm down so that she could begin working.
A few deep breaths later, Aelin got to work. She set her threaded needle to the side and straightened out the large piece of the tanned hide. She dug through her basket and found the scissors she had also 'borrowed' from the inn. She did hope they didn't notice they were missing, especially only for the night. She doubted the basket or the scissors would be needed any time soon as they were just laying around. The scissors were tucked away in a drawer, but they were still laying around so, yeah. She didn't think of it as stealing or anything because she would never do such a thing, but she couldn't accomplish anything with just a needle and thread and she seriously needed something to carry the fabric around, else it would be on her shoulders and she wasn't up for the pain it might have caused her. Plus, she knew that if she got caught, she could easily explain her situation to the owner and she was sure that he would forgive her for taking the items, as long as she brought them back. Though she still hoped it didn't come to that. She shook the thoughts from her head and went back to her project. She used the scissors to cut two thick strips from the top of the fabric. She set them aside for later and put the scissors down with the two strips. With that, she would begin her next part, sewing the satchel.
She folded the bottom part up, about a quarter of the length of the fabric and then folded the top down. Once she was happy with the length of each, she grabbed the scissors once again. She cut the top first, making a flap to be the cover of the top of the bag. She then cut the sides slightly so that they would be easier to sew together. Once she thought that she had a decent looking style, she turned the fabric inside out so that the stitching wouldn't show through the outside, the horrible stitches anyways. Her hands were steady and small and her fingers long, so this line of work was perfect for her, though she never really thought about it as work. She did other things to earn an income, like helping out her fellow Lander's with the finances of their shops. She made a pretty penny from it too, though she didn't have much to show for it. She usually spent it on things that would progress her goals, so she had little money in the end. She barely got to eat, everything cost so much! With the thought of food, her stomach rumbled at her, but she shook her head and pushed the feeling aside for later. She couldn't take a break now, not when she was so driven to complete what she had started. She would finish this project and send herself off to bed, if the night had come upon the house, though if it didn't, she would probably jump right into her last project, one that would take some time to complete. Perhaps she could finish a little, though she knew herself all too well and knew that it wouldn't be that easy to stop as it would be to start.
She began sewing the sides that would connect the bottom of the bag together. She chose to continue with the cross stitch as she had with the thick hide as she found that it held much better than any other stitch. She would probably have to go over it twice, maybe even three times for the bag to be able to hold what she needed it too, but she would test it out later when it came down to that. Right now, she had to remain focused on her goal and keep her mind from wandering, else her hand get pricked again. Not that it hurt a whole lot, but it had been an annoyance to stop when she had made so much progress. She stitched the sides from bottom to top, then stitched the side that hadn't been cut. It turned the flat bag into a rectangular bottom and sides. It would hold much more this way. She then went to the next side and did the same thing. Though there wasn't anything to stitch at the bottom in terms of disconnected pieces, she sewed the cross stitch into the material anyways to help hold the shape and to possibly help with the sturdiness of it.
Once she had finished stitching the whole thing, she turned it inside out to inspect it. It wasn't the greatest, but she didn't have much experience in making such things so for now, she was quite happy with her accomplishment. She turned the bag inside out again and threaded her needle with more of the thread. She began going over each stitch again, making sure it was tight enough to hold and knotting it a bunch of times to make sure the thread wouldn't come undone. It took her a while to double stitch it and she had only gotten the first side before her stomach began to grumble at her once again. She sighed and rolled her eyes, telling her stomach to calm down and that she would eat once she had completed the double stitch. She continued on, stitching the other side again and then finally the two strips at the bottom of the bag. She turned it inside out and inspected it. She stuffed her fist into it and pushed against the sides and bottom. Though they looked sturdy, she didn't want to take chances. She would have to stitch it once more, but after she filled her tummy a bit. She turned the bag inside out once again and set it down, placing her needle and thread lightly over top of it so that she didn't lose it. It was her only needle after all. She looked through her basket, pulling out a tin wrapped sandwich and a small bottle of water, compliments of the vendor posted up next to the fabric shop. As she began to open the tin wrapping, her stomach growled hungrily and she grunted an annoying sound to it.

Aelin folded open the wrapped sandwich. The vendor had told her it was dried meat and cheese and by the look of it, it most certainly was, though she couldn't tell exactly what kind of meat it was. She sniffed it, but didn't smell much of anything and with a shrug, she bit into the first half. It tasted like all the other food she had eaten so far so she downed the first half, taking a large gulp of water after wards. It had been three days since her last meal, and though she couldn't call it a meal, her stomach was grateful. She had purchased two sandwiches, just in case she was to post up in the abandoned house for longer than she had anticipated and though it wouldn't last her forever, if she was in dire need of anything else, the grain village was sure to have some sort of vendor or someone who would offer her a meal. She went to close the wrappings, deciding to save the rest when her stomach let out an angry growl, knowing what she was about to do. She sighed and shrugged her shoulders, diving into the other half and eating it within a few bites. She took another gulp of the water and decided that it was time to get back to work. First, though, she took a look outside. The sun was slowly lowering to the ground and she glared at it. It looked as though she wouldn't get to start her third project tonight, though it was probably a good thing that she couldn't. She needed sleep at some point anyways so she would finish her satchel bag and go down for the night. Setting the wrapping away from her and picking up her needle and thread, she began sewing the third cross stitch into the side of her bag. She made the same knotting that she had done before, before she moved to the next part. She continued to pierce through the other stitching, along with the hide as she went along. It wasn't taking a lot of time as she had suspected it would have, but that was probably due to her practicing the same cross stitch pattern over the course of the time she had been in that abandoned house. If she kept up like how she was, she would be finished the satchel in no time and then it would be off to bed with her for an early start in the morning. At that moment, she had finished the triple stitch and glanced outside once more. She had a few hours left of the evening light and because she had no candles, she would be forced to call it a night. She had to work quickly to get the bag done before the sun completely left her in the darkness, not that her soul ever left there anyways. With the third stitch finished, she flipped the bag inside out. It looked pretty good for her first time and she had no doubts that it would hold for a decent amount of time, at least, until she got better and could make a better one. She had no doubt that the satchel was worth the work anyways. Landers and Adventurers alike seemed to rely on them and she couldn't help but wonder why her parents, or herself had never owned one, or much less come in contact with such a thing. It wasn't until she left her home town that she had seen or even heard of half of the things that she wanted to create. She wondered what her mother and father would think of all these new things. She wondered if they hadn't been killed, would they have wanted to live among the Adventurers? They probably would have, if only for the fact that they, like her, would be forced too. They weren't as strong as she was and they probably wouldn't have had the plan she did. A small, evil giggle made it past her lips before she shook her head and forced herself back into her work. She didn't have time to think about such trivial things and the depression of it would only distract her from her goals. She took a deep breath and dove back in. Now that the bag part of it was complete to satisfactory, Aelin would begin with the flap. She folded over a small edge, after turning the bag around so that the fold was facing her and took her needle and thread to it. She cross stitched all the way around the rim and then a second time just for good measure. It wouldn't need to be triple stitched as this part of the bag wouldn't be carrying anything, so it didn't need to be as super sturdy as the base of the bag was. Once the stitching was finished, she fished through the basket. She didn't remember bringing so much stuff, but apparently she had. Finally, after a short while, she pulled what she needed from the basket. It was a decently large button, the color of ember. She thought it was quite pretty and would give some sort of stylish look to her rather drab bag. She knew what she had in mind and had preemptively planned the button. It was a rather smart idea on her end, as it would help hold the flap down as she walked wherever she needed to go. She was quite pleased with her planning skills at that moment. She ran some more thread through her needle and placed the button where she wanted it and began sewing it into place. She triple stitched the button, just in case the bottom of the bag weighed it down too much. She had to make sure that it would hold, no matter how many things she stuffed into the satchel. With the button in place, Aelin folded the flap over and tested out where she thought she should put the button holder. Once she had decided on near the top, she set to work. She used a small strip of the hide that she had cut from the sides and put it in the place she had thought about. Once there, she tried out the length of the hoop, making sure the button would fit tightly, but be lose enough to be undone easily when she needed it undone. Once she was happy with it, she grabbed to scissors and made two slits, half the size of the strip of fabric itself. She pulled the fabric through after setting the scissors down and ran her needle and thread through the slits and into the fabric of both the bag and the strip. She did the same with the other side and then triple stitched it so that it would hold. She stopped for a moment and stretched out her back, a yawn took over her and she failed to hold it back. She shook her head, knowing that she was so close to being done and that she had to get it done before night fall. She would do it, yawning or not. Now that the flap on the satchel was complete, she began work on the straps. She wouldn't do it the same way as that Adventurer had done it, no, she wanted to make her own sort of style, though she style wasn't her own as it had already been made, but even still, she wanted it to be different. She had already added the ember button to it, but she didn't want all of the weight to be on one shoulder. That normally caused great pain in the back and shoulders, especially with the amount of things she often carried, adding a blanket to that now. No, she would make two straps, that way both shoulders would take on half of the weight and cause less pain for her. She thought it was a fantastic idea! She took the two strips that she had cut off of the top of the fabric before she had started the satchel, and tested the length on her back. Once she had a ballpark of where to put the straps on the bag, she got to work. First, she would sew the hems on each strap. Once again cross stitching, she sewed up one side, along the bottom, down the other side until she reached the top. Once she was finished, she did it again. The hem on the straps wouldn't need that third stitch, though when it came to sewing them to the bag itself, well, that would be a different story. Once the one strap was double stitched, she began to do the same thing with the other strap, sewing it all the way around, and then doing it again. Now that both straps were double hemmed, it was time to sew them on the bag! She placed the straps where she had calculated and took the first step by cross stitching the top of the strap to the bag. She went over it again and pulled lightly on the half sewn on strap. Figuring out that she was dissatisfied with the strength of the strap, she began to sew it a third time. She pulled on it again and nodded, happy that she had added the extra strength. She did the same thing to the next strap, making sure it was leveled with the first and far enough away that it would be balanced on her shoulders. She stitched it three times and moved back to the first strap, this time working on sewing the bottom on. She did the same thing, sewing it three times and then went and did the same thing with the bottom of the other strap. Once it was finished, she placed the straps over her shoulders and moved them, making sure that she felt comfortable. Once she was happy with her findings, she took the bag off and set it down, looking at the access pieces of the hide fabric. She bit her lower lip as she thought and then clapped her hands together. She had the perfect idea of how to use the rest of the fabric she had left over. She took a piece that she had cut from the flap in the beginning, and held it up to one of the sides of the bag. It fit perfectly and she smiled, knowing that it would be a good idea to have the access fabric as pockets! She set straight to to sewing in the pocket. She used the place of the cross stitching of the side and connected it with a new cross stitch of the pocket. It was a little tough to continuously turn the bag in side out and then back over but she just knew it would be worth it. Once she had sewn the first stitches in, she moved onto the next set. She figured just two of the cross stitching would be enough and made a mental note to not put anything to heavy into it. Her bottle of water would be a perfect fit and she could probably even put her sandwich in the other pocket. She would test it out when it came down to it anyways, to make sure that she truly wouldn't need the third stitch. Once the second set of stitches were complete, she grabbed the second piece of access fabric and placed it on the other side. They were both the same size so it turned out to be a great find! She stitched in the first set, and then the second, making sure it was sturdy. Once she was happy with the results, she laid the bag back down on the floor. She looked at it with wide eyes. Sure, it wasn't the prettiest bag, but for a first timer, she was sure that she had done an amazing job and she felt quite proud of herself at that moment. She felt her eyes glance to the window, seeing the sun almost down for the night. She quickly stuffed her brand new, handmade satchel with the things she had in the basket, putting her water in one pocket and managing to fit the sandwich in the other. It helped that it was a bun and not the flatter bread she had gotten a few days ago, else she probably couldn't have fit it in. She thought that she would have to get more of those bun sandwiches, as they fit so nicely. She smiled a conquering smile and stifled a yawn. Another one caught her soon after and she decided that she was officially done for the night. She cleaned up the remaining things that she hadn't put in the bag and set them to the side. She pulled her blanket tight to her and let out a soft, happy sigh. She felt content with the world at that moment, but she knew she still had a full day of work ahead of her. Now that she had completed two of her three tasks she could rest easily and get some much needed sleep. She laid down on the floor and pulled her brand new, handmade blanket around her. She smiled as she closed her eyes and let the warmth of the wool take her to dream land, where, instead of the horrible nightmares she had been fighting for years, she was met with a nice, warm dream. Aelin jumped awake, images of her parents bloodied face lie dormant in her mind. She took a breath and gasped, not being able to fully breath. It was a normal happening with her, since then, and she hadn't been able to overcome the nightmares. It had started off as a wonderful dream. She had been dreaming that her parents were still alive, that she had a lot of friends and that she was happy, but then her dream had taken a turn for the worse. The man who had taken her family from her, he had come back and found her. She wiped the sweat off of her forehead, the sweat of burning in the abandoned house as the adventurer had set it on fire. The dream, no, the nightmare had been so realistic that she had truly felt that she was going to die, that her life would be over without being able to exact her revenge. She took another breath and gasped again. She truly hated these panic attacks, though in all truth, if she didn't have them, she would truly have died on the inside. At least she still had feeling for herself and for others and her plans for revenge hadn't taken her completely.
It had taken her about an hour to come out of her panic attack, but once she had, she got right to work. She couldn't spare a moment else her thoughts might take her over. She threw aside her blanket and smiled in the direction of her newly made satchel. She was overly proud with herself, but now an even bigger task lay ahead of her. She could easily repair her own clothing, but to actually make a set, it might prove difficult. She took a breath and pulled the pure white fabrics from her satchel. She took out the 'borrowed' scissors and her needle and white thread instead of the brown, then unlike the other two projects, she pulled out pins. She already knew her measurements, but because she didn't have a way to measure the exact measurements of the clothing, she deemed that she would need the pins to make sure it fit before she began to sew. She was extremely good in the math department, so she figured she would be fine, but just in case she did manage to screw up just by seeing, she had bought an extra sheet of the fabric and the pins.
She pulled the first sheet away from the others and laid it down flat. Using the measurements in her head and the measurements of the sheet before her, she began to cut. First, she cut out a medium length bottom, adding in arms, and the finally ending with the neck line. She surveyed the cut sheet before she picked it up and stood, holding the piece up to her torso. So far it seemed like it should fit. She was, of course, overlooking the size of the shirt, only because she knew it would look bigger, until she sewed both sides together. Once she was happy, she set down the next piece of white fabric and laid down the already cut piece over top. She began to cut along the edges, being careful to be exact, with the exception of the straight across collar, until she had the back of the shirt fully cut. She pinned the two pieces together and, very carefully, pulled it down over her head. The bottom hit the middle of her hips and the sleeves her cut just past her elbows. She had cut the collar a little too low for her tastes, but for what it was, it didn't really matter as no one else would see it. She pulled it off, being very careful once again, and laid the shirt down. She had purposely put the material inside out so that she could sew and not have to bother the way she had with the satchel.
She sewed the outsides of the shirt together after hemming the openings on each one, starting on the first side and being careful to not sew where she had already hemmed at the openings. She kept the pins in, taking them out as she went along, just for a safe measure. She sewed the next side, being careful to keep the hems as closely together as the other side had been and when she was finally finished, she turned it inside out. She checked the stitches, nodding her approval at how nicely each side looked, almost exact to one another and then pulled it over her head for safe measure. She looked down at her body and, despite how thin she had become, felt good about her appearance. She was quite happy with herself and her findings so far. She felt the urge to keep making things, though she knew she wouldn't have the money to for a while. She pulled it back off and turned it inside out. Now, it was time to add just the slightest bit of flair to it.
She took her needle and the white thread, threading it through and worked on the collar first. She made zigzag stitches, loose enough to complete what she needed to and sewed all of the front, keeping the back straight. When she pulled on the thread and tied it, it made a quaint frill. She smiled and then did the same to both sleeves. She left about an inch hanging after the stitches and the frilly look of the girly shirt made her smile. She hadn't had other clothes or anything else to wear aside from her blue dress and white apron, since her parents had lived. She hated the adventurers, but with their ideas and her skill, she would become quite the tailor if she kept up. Considering she had made such nice things, even though they were dull because of their colors, in such a short time. Once she finished the frills, she pulled the shirt back over her head once more. She touched the frills and felt a small tingle run up her spine. For the first time in a long time, she felt accomplished and it truly felt great! She didn't frill the bottom like the collar and ends of the sleeves. She liked how they were accentuated and that the bottom wasn't. It made it something more than she had expected, plus she did it that way so that she could tuck the shirt into the next and last part of her project. She was happy her stitches were turning out so well, then again, she had expected no less of herself, as she had had enough practice. Now that the top was finished, it was time to begin the bottoms!

She took a close look at her legs, deciding the length she would like the matching pants to be. Once she had ball parked the measurements in her head, she went to work, laying down the first piece of fabric. She cut carefully, making the cuts a bit bigger than she knew would fit, but it did have a purpose. She cut out the legs and the waist and stood, as she had done with the shirt. She placed the fabric to where she wanted it in her waist and nodded after wrapping it to see where the hems would lay should she keep the size of it now. She shook her head and laid the fabric back down, sitting on the floor as she had been for the past day. She began making thin cuts away from the edges until she held it back up to herself and nodded approval. She laid down the next sheet and placed the already cut pants over top of it. She cut along the edges, again, being careful to not slice into it anymore and pinned the two pieces of fabric together. Much like she had done with the shirt, she very carefully shuffled into the pants. The waist was a bit big, but she had her reasons for it, but the pant legs, reaching about three inches away from her knee, were the perfect length. It was what she had envisioned when she first thought of creating the outfit.
Laying the pants down, she hemmed the openings first and then, pulling pins out along the way, began to cross stitch her way up the first side and then the second. Once all the pins were removed and each leg was sewed on the outside, she then began to sew the inside of the pants. The cut for her lower region was a little strange, but it was meant to let that area hang a little, for breathing room. Her cheeks blushed at the thought but she quickly pushed it away, shaking her head and continuing. Once the stitches were finished, doubled like the rest of the outfit, she turned them inside out, feeling along the edges just to make sure that she had, indeed, gotten all of the pins. When she felt safe, she pulled them on and nodded at how comfortable they felt. She sighed with relief and pulled them off. She bent back down, laying them on the floor and got to work, adding that little bit of 'flair' that she had with the shirt. She zigzag stitched the bottoms of the pants, but when it came to doing the top, she smirked, having planned something. She dug through her satchel, nearly cursing herself for not keeping the things in the basket for one more night, as it had been much easier to see each thing, but it didn't matter once she pulled out a soft blue piece of thick thread. The merchant had called it rubber latex, perfect for pulling things in. She did as the merchant had showed her and began threading the rubbery thread through the small holes she had sewed in when she had created the ruffle effect. It slid in perfectly and once all the way through, she pulled the pants back on. She was proud of the ruffles she had created, but she squealed as she pulled the top of the pants together. It held them on perfectly, and the soft blue color added a hint of even more flair to the outfit.

As Aelin pulled off the newly made pants, she glanced at the extra piece of fabric and stared at it for a long while. She pursed her lips lightly and turned her eyes to the outfit she had made. She felt as though it could use something, but she couldn't place her finger on it. Just as she was pondering, her stomach growled angrily at her. She rolled her eyes, knowing that she shouldn't have eaten that full sandwich last night, but she hoped eating would give her some inspiration. She pulled the sandwich out of one pocket in the satchel and her water out of the other. She let out a soft gasp of excitement and opened up the wrapping on the sandwich. She took a bite and then another and soon, finished off one half. Despite the low growl her stomach gave her, she folded the wrapping paper back around the sandwich and pushed it back into the pocket. She took a gulp of water and then pushed the bottle back into it's pocket. Her new satchel was amazing! She couldn't understand how she had ever lived with out it. As she thought of the things she had made, the white piece of fabric called her eyes to it from her peripherals. She glanced at it in wonder and put her hand on her forehead to help with her thoughts and as though a light bulb went off, she thought of what the outfit needed and something she was sure would add just what she was looking for! Pajamas were never complete without a night cap! She pulled the sheet close to her and studied the dimension of her head. Once she figured she had a pretty good idea of how big the piece needed to be, she cut a circle like shape out. She wanted the cap to be more like a bonnet, but she wanted it to be big enough to hold her hair at night. It was the worst when small wisps of hair tickled your face and woke you up in the middle of the night. The circle was quite big but she had wanted to follow what she had done with the pants. She wouldn't cut the cap like she had with the pants though. Instead, she took her pins and pinned it all the way around, crinkling up the edges as she went. Once she felt comfortable with the style of it, she carefully put the cap over her crown. She felt the back of the cap, checking to make sure that there was enough room to fit all of her long hair into it. She would definitely have to trim down the bottom of the cap as the access fabric fell over her eyes, but she needed to thread the middle before anything. She pulled the cap off and let out a small scream, tossing it down and putting a hand to the right side of her forehead. She cursed as she took her hand away and saw the blood on her finger tips. She shook her head and, using a random piece of the access fabric of the shirt, wiped away the blood from her fingers and wrapped it around her head to stop the bleeding. It would cause her some problem since she wouldn't risk putting the white cap on her bloodied forehead, but she had to hope for the best. She cross stitched the cap, making sure to keep the crinkles in it, and found that it was making it's own frill. She stitched all the way around and then cut off the edges of the cap to make them shorter. She hemmed it quickly and sighed as she completed it. She tossed the cap aside and checked her forehead. The bleeding had stopped but she wouldn't try the cap on, not until night time was upon her and she had properly healed her wounds. For now, she needed to rest.
