Appearance James had created Jayven with a weathered and experienced look about the character. In a word: salty. With a mess of thick brown hair, a set of brown eyes, and a tan complexion, it's not far fetched to think he could be of mixed descent. Jayven's face has a noticeable X-shaped scar on his lower left cheek, perhaps from a hard lesson learned. At 6'4", with an athletic build, Jayven stands tall amongst other characters, yet wouldn't quite fill a set of plate armor without it being tapered to a slender fit. James used his own appearance as a reference in making Jayven, but only so much that if the two of them were seen together someone would think they were brothers, not twins. Jayven is an upfront character, and isn't likely to be seen slouching. This character is a Wolf Hair, and usually has his wolf ears showing, not for display, but to actively utilize their increased hearing ability. | Personality Determination is a core trait for Jayven. Whenever a challenge or task is set before him, he will put out his utmost effort to achieve success. This can cause him to be quite stubborn and often argumentative. That's not to say he's a "I know best" kind of man. Experience has taught Jayven to be humble, for there is always someone better. But this Jayven's true spark as an Adventurer, to seek out and find the best of the best, and challenge their feats, in hopes of becoming greater. Jayven's mental fortitude plays a key role in his endeavors. This, 'mental toughness' usually shows its true colors when things get tough, like being able to sleep anywhere at anytime, or having nothing to eat but tasteless food for weeks with little griping. Jayven shies away from some creature comforts because he places security as his top priority. So the saftey of his party(he places his saftey after his allies') is always being considered, which gives the feeling of being on edge to some people. But there's a time and place for everything, and Jayven is able to enjoy the little things in life, goof around and be able to project a happy mood. A very straightforward character, Jayven will tell you EXACTLY what he's thinking with little to no provocation. May be interpreted as abrasive/ rude. Trust can be given to anyone, even enemies, but it is the individual weight of that trust that defines Jayven's relationships with said beings. He has a tendency to sometimes act in a negative or harmful manner, but upstanding relationships will quell this dark side. |

Biography
Having been orphaned early in childhood, James was raised by the streets, always running away from orphanages he was placed in by the diligent police. But there was a fateful meeting one day when he was 10. He was attempting to sneak onto a very wealthy property, but had gotten accidentally stuck in an inner fence. The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Doubtfire, released James but had bribed the boy with food in order to keep him coming back to their property. Over time, James bonded with them and was finally adopted by the affluent couple. They convinced their new son to attend private schooling, where he almost immediately enrolled in a martial arts class. James stayed in this class for a few years, mastering the basics and few complex techniques, however was ultimately kicked out in highschool for being deemed to malicious after a bloody incident. The boy had then haphazardly stumbled upon MMO's, specifically the one called Elder Tales. There was no real blood or harm in the game, so James could act more naturally. Being so enamored with swordfighting, the Doubtfires suggested fencing. They felt a distance growing between them and their adoptive son, and were glad when he agreed. After finding a fencing master that enabled James' aggressive nature, the growing young man quickly rose to the top in his region. He stayed number one for two years, the second as defending champ. He then graduated high school, and fatefully ran into military veterans telling stories of war to young children. Simply put, he enlisted right away. His parents were initially dismayed with his decision, but soon gave James open support. After James completed his training he was immediately sent into combat. He was an excited young buck on the plane there, but when the time came to return home this excitement had soured, making James more emotionally distant. His friends and family were understanding, and shared their happiness with man they loved. James was still in the service when the Unfounded Kingdom server for Elder Tales was announced, and decided to partake in it. He created Jayven, and then...

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Swashbuckler
Dart-Tack Target: The swashbuckler pricks the target with their weapon four times in quick succession, each strike dealing light damage but moderate aggro. This allows the swashbuckler to temporarily gain the attention of the enemy and serve as an off-tank. While the tanking role is often left to the warrior classes, this skill might serve as a brief respite to the team in order to maintain momentum. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds.
Discard: A technique designed to reduce aggro for the swashbuckler. As soon as the opponent draws near, the swashbuckler performs a somersault over the target's head, then uses the blunt end of the blade to spin the opponent sideways. This sudden disorientation disrupts a monster's thought process, often resulting in its battle AI resetting. This skill has an animation time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds.
Quick Swap: A skill that facilitates the quick switching of equipment from the user's equipment to their inventory. While many characters use quick slots in order to swap out their weapons, this requires a manual action. The use of Quick Swap does this exchange automatically. This switching can only be done with two equipment sets at a time, both of which are registered prior to the start of battle. When Quick Swap is used, the current equipment set will be swapped out to the other set designated by the skill. Due to the nature of this skill, it is best used by characters of the Weapon Specialist classes. This skill has an animation time of 1 second. Its cooldown if used by a Weapon Specialist class is 10 seconds which increases to 20 seconds if used by any other class.
Level 4 Tier I Skill: A Tier I skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. Unlocked at Level 4.

Level 31 Tier II Skill: A skill slot that can be occupied with either an Adventurer or Main Class skill. The skill may be either a Tier I or II skill. Unlocked at Level 31.
Roleplay Class: Acrobat
High Jump: Passive. One of the most basic tricks of the Acrobat's specialty is their ability to jump greater heights than any average person. The Acrobat's maximum jumping height is doubled. While this skill might seem otherwise mundane, it can allow one to reach places that would be difficult for many others.
Crafting Class: Blacksmith
Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks.
