Akira frowned. She was supposed to be finding the old parliamentary building in the beautiful town of Londinium. It was more of a post-apocalyptic world than anything else which was a little ironic considering the fact that the game she was stuck in, Elder Tale, was actually a fantasy type game. The part of town she was in didn’t have as many plants because it was a more common area and other players had cleared out most of the plants from all the common areas with a lot of foot traffic.
The city was bustling with other adventurers and people of the land. It was nearly impossible for Akira to get anywhere in the crowd of people and she was slowly but surely getting even more lost by the second.
At that pace she’d never be able to get the Parliament building or even really find out what the dungeons were and if she could find a hopefully higher level player to help her complete her very first dungeon, which would be pretty swell for her. But at the rate she was going at Akira would probably never even get to the building in the first place. Akira’s fluffy light blonde fox tail started slightly moving from side to side slowly. She had been trying to get the building for over an hour now and it was beginning to really anger her. “ Seriously?” she muttered. It was annoying but Akira was going to have to deal with it if she wanted to to be able to survive in the world with her new plans to finally be liked and make friends for once in her life.
She started looking around trying to use her slightly above being short height and craning her neck to see if there was any way for her to get out the crowd. It took a few good minutes of looking before Akira finally saw a way out of the crowd that she had gotten caught in. It was an alley. The only problem to her salvation from the crowd of adventurers and people of the land was that she would need to get through to the other side of the street and end up cutting through the extremely thick crowd. Akira took a hand and flipped her long blonde hair back behind her so it wouldn’t get in the way of her sight. Akira made a look of determination and her bright green eyes said so too. She started to push her way through the crowd and as she did so she loudly yelled,” Sorry!” She also continued to do so all the way until she had made it to the alley.
Once she was in the alley Akira pulled up her map to see where she had ended up in Londinium due to the crowd. It popped up very quickly and Akira studied it for a few moments before she found out that she was about a twenty-five minute walk away from what had used to be the parliamentary building in London. Akira studied the map a little more before finding a way to get to the building without having to deal with excessively large crowds of people. She would be taking a lot of alleys and back roads but it would worth it for her.
Akira set off on her way and after about the twenty-five minute walk she had anticipated, Akira arrived at her destination. Akira ran up to the building and started looking at the bulletin board. There were about two dungeons that would be good for her, a level one character, to do. With Akira’s current skills it would probably work out fine for her if she could get a higher level character to do the dungeon with her. Akira jumped off the building’s entrance and over the stairs before she started looking for players that would be a higher level.
First Akira asked a much taller green haired player who immediately shot her down. Akira’s confidence took an immediate downfall but she wasn’t about to let that stop her. Akira then with a big and friendly smile on her face asked another player who looked like a relatively average person, someone with brown eyes and brown hair. She also shot Akira’s request down. Akira kept her smile on her face as she kept asking other players to help her even though she kept getting denied and it was really hurting her feelings. She was starting to feel like she used to feel all the time in the real world due to having no friends and getting bullied a lot. Akira’s green eyes started showing sadness in them and she almost looked like a lost puppy. The big green eyes of Akira’s only increased the puppy dog effect but it probably wouldn’t do anything. She asked about six more players who denied her request before she saw him.
By him Akira meant that she saw what looked to be a possible high-leveled player. He was a player with average height, squinty eyes and long black hair that looked to be in a ponytail. Akira put on a bright smile. Maybe he would help her. Akira ran up to the black haired player and smiled a bright smile. Her bright green eyes lost the puppy effect because she really felt like the player would help her, which in retrospect might turn to be wrong considering her luck with the other players.
As soon as Akira arrived directly in front of the player she looked him so she could see his features better now that he was up close. “ Hi! My name is Akira and I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind helping me complete a dungeon. I’m a level one and I really don’t have the power or the skills to do it alone…” she said cheerfully with her voice trailing off at the end expectantly. Akira batted her eyes at the player hoping it would help and she looked up at him with an eager look on her face.
