[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]SIRIUS [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Mayclaire Edevane [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 20 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Pansexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: scathach, FATE/GRAND ORDER [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Solace [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] [appearance] Even outside of the game, Mayclaire was always an avid fan of spending her time with animals. The exposure earned her fair share of scars, namely on her arms. She decided to keep the linear, pink badges peppering her arms as a reminder of her devotion. Keeping herself indistinct from her real life appearance, she even incorporated the scar she earned when she was younger, spanning from the right corner of her lip, across her cheek, almost to her right ear. There is no difference between how she appears outside of the game, and how she appears inside of the game, aside from the choice to change her eye colour from chestnut brown to a deep crimson. She is a tall mesomorph with a hint of muscle, weighing approximately 135 lbs and standing at 5’9”. Her eyes are like a pair of rubies, illustrious but inexpressive, lacking a life-like zest associated with livelier people. She has the pleasure of maintaining an excessively long mane of brown hair, which is never styled in any manner other than down her back. In real life, she wasn’t exactly a fashonista and preferred to stick to humble clothes that allowed ease of movement. Shirts, sweatpants, shorts, anything of that nature. In game, she prides herself on being agile and lithe, and would prefer to envelop her body in black-brown leather that wouldn’t dare inhibit her. However, she has absolutely no qualms with wearing whatever armor or clothes are available. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]There are three main components to Sirius’ personality: Efficiency, devotion to duty, and a sense of adventure. This sense of adventure leads to a broad spectrum of passions, such as her affinity with the outdoors and love for animals; especially any breed or species of canine. Unsurprisingly, she is claustrophobic, and closed spaces can prove stressful even if they seem like spacious areas to others. To top things off, she is completely inept when it comes to recreational socializing. She is an introvert, and prefers to spend her adventuring time alone, taking personal expeditions into tranquil areas boasting a wealth of wildlife. For the most part, she keeps her feelings to herself unless asked. Any claims of her being outgoing are false. She prefers truths over tact and dishonesty, and has no intention of sugarcoating or telling white lies. As a devoted person, the inconsistencies of others get under her skin. Seeing lack of commitment in others agitates her, but she chooses to brood and bottle her frustrations. What she lacks in charisma she makes up in instinct and intuition, and is adept at using her feelings to scope out an idea or plan of action. Her mind is fixed in the now, preferring to deal with matters and consequences as they come instead of planning too far ahead. Sirius’ adaptability and efficiency make her a capable leader when she is feeling up to it, as she has a knack for getting things in order. Still, she is most comfortable when by herself or spending time with only one or two other people. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Born in Brussels, Mayclaire spent her first years living a pleasant life as the daughter of a wealthy Flemish couple consisting of two happy women. As a result, she would never come to learn the identity of the anonymous donor that was her biological father. Courtesy of her homeland’s benign and accepting nature, she spent her life discrimination free and didn’t experience any significant troubles at first. Educated in an independent school, she got along with her peers and excelled at academia and sports. Her parents bought her a malinois puppy for her eighth birthday gift, which she decisively named Sirius. By the time she was nine, she declared her life goal to become a veterinarian, her enthusiasm founded by her deep connection with her companion, and her flourishing love for animals and the outdoors in general. Somewhere around her tenth birthday, she met and befriended a girl named Charlotte. At that point of time, May was more outgoing and extroverted, which made it easy for her to get close to others. Sadly, gregarious as she was, close friends were a dime a dozen. However, the girl who she would come to fondly call Charlie was different, having incredible synergy with her. They would become inseparable, her bestfriend, herself, and the comical dog that tagged along, even as her life took a progressive turn for the worse when she turned thirteen. Since then, whenever she was around people, she became increasingly suspicious. Delusional, she claimed that she could hear their thoughts, to the point where the ambiance drowned out her own thoughts and she was left in the midst of a cacophony of voices, most negative, and some positive. Hardly anything was therapeutic; she could only steel herself and press on. Reluctantly, her parents made the call to send Sirius away to live with a relative when May started to claim that the dog spoke to her—a decision that devastated the affectionate animal lover and distanced her from both her parents and people in general. She shut herself in, finding sanctuary in peaceful areas—alone—where the strange voices didn’t bother her. She found solace in spending time with critters and wildlife, and the one person who did not have an ill effect on her, Charlotte. The latter played a great part in keeping her from falling off the wagon with sports and academics. The more she withdrew, ironically, the closer she got to her bestfriend, and it wasn’t long before the relationship took an amorous turn. Even still, it was hard for her to communicate with people, and she became more brooding and doggish as time went on. Things like games and other distractions became more alluring after the demise of her social life. She preferred to spend her time outdoors, even becoming claustrophobic, but there were times when she couldn’t go outside, and exploring the bountiful forests of virtual worlds had an appeal, even though she felt it could never compare to the real thing. She and Charlotte both were playing Elder Tale at the time of the Catastrophe, and as a result, took an impromptu trip into the game along with the thousands of other players at the time. Her world was turned upside down at first, but when she experienced how real everything was, her relation with the environment became indistinct from her deep connection with it outside of the game. Moreover, the beacon of light in her life was not lost. Every now and then she is stricken with melancholy, as while she has a light, she lacks the irreplaceable canine crutch that she loved since her eighth birthday, and hopes for an eventual return where she can meet her animal companion once more. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]+ Mayclaire is right-handed. + Her blood type is B- + To be specific, May gets squeamish predominantly in enclosed rooms and spaces, if she isn’t in the company of a close friend; that tends to soothe her and alleviate stress. + Unsurprisingly, she’s a vegan. Pineapple is her favourite food. + Sirius is not only the name of her dog, but a play on her wolf-like characteristics. It is the brightest star in the sky, Canis Major, the “dog star”. |

The wolf excels in physical offense and speed, making it an excellent companion for those wanting to improve their DPS. However, it is a little more fragile than other beginner familiars such as the Alraune, so caution should be exercised when dealing with tough monsters. The wolf's signature ability is a high-speed pounce that can bounce over to strike nearby foes within a second, although this skill does come with a cooldown of 20 seconds. The wolf's abilities and appearance becomes more impressive as the skill ranks up, increasing the familiar's size. When a Familiar summoning skill is used, any Familiars currently active are canceled. [attr="class","skill"]Heartbeat Healing: One of the Druid's signature healing spells, Heartbeat Healing is a spell that covers the target in a sparkling green light and delivers gradual HP regeneration to the target every few seconds. It is the primary and most potent spell of the healing core, with many other healing spells rotated in between. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, a duration of 10 seconds, and triggers a global cooldown during its cast. [attr="class","skill"]Earthbeat Healing: Heartbeat Healing, in the form of a full party regeneration ability. It covers targets in a sparkling blue light. Understandably, it has a slightly lower efficiency than its single-target counterpart. However, it can be stacked with Heartbeat Healing to create a steady rate of healing over time. Be careful, as this skill attracts a high amount of aggro from opponents. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 10 seconds, and triggers a global cooldown during its cast. [attr="class","skill"]Timber: Toggle skill. Woodcrafters naturally have an affinity for chopping and carving wood, making their abilities key in harming monsters that happen to be arboreal in nature. Woodcrafters deal 20% more damage to Plant-type monsters. They can also cancel buffs on Plant-type monsters upon a successful hit. [attr="class","skill"]Scout: The Animal Trainer attempts to recruit a monster to their cause in order to create a temporary partner. This is often done by approaching the monster without startling or aggravating it. If performed successfully, a tamed monster will fight by the Trainer's side for a few minutes before control is lost and the monster returns to the environment. Certain situations might make this duration last longer or shorter; acts of kindness toward the tamed monster will make it stick around for longer, while excessive demand will make the Trainer quickly lose favor with the monster. Only one monster can be tamed at a time at the early levels. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Leather Armor: A basic set of soft leather armor made from cheap leather. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: N/A [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Lance: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron and wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
