Yeah I'll take my time It is my part - No It was a festival, a festival! Selavain had snuck away from her cousins and her sister to go look at the night stands of course. The small child had a cute little dress, made specifically for the festival by one of her cousins. They were a Japanophile, and well, they had gone with her sister's boyfriend to Japan and when they came back, they were so happy. Anyways, lucky for them, they were a tailor, so they made Selvain a cute, pink kimono, and designed a design for the sandal like shoes she was wearing. So the click, click, click of the little girl's footsteps echoed, as she let out happy noises, dashing around. What the small red head hadn't realized yet though, was the fact that it was quite late. That meant all of the alcohol was out now, given around freely with frequent happiness. Although that wouldn't normally be a problem, as thus far it was obvious that there wasn't a lot of little kids inside of the game, or rather the actual true age of said people were almost always old enough. So the fact that many went around looking like a little girl, was secretly past their true age. So it was common sense to think of the girl to be like that too; and she was just happily bouncy and buzzy, delightfully finding a few hoop games, and other such things. ''Uu uu uu the festival is so pretty! I want to play around more, isn't it fun Takumi?'' the little girl said, looking to her right. Beside her, a brown haired male was garbed in a blue kimono, and floating along side her, shaking his head. The fox ears were swishing back and forth, as the male sighed, and then smiled at the girl. ''Yes, Sel, it's fun. But I'm worried, what about your sister and your cousins? Won't they be worried since you snuck off from them?'' asked the fox-tail, worry on his face. The girl laughed and shook her head, before grinning. ''Pfft! I bet they won't notice for a bit uu! Oh look, candy apples! Want one!'' she exclaimed, running towards said stand. Even though there were people in the air beside her, the male passed effortlessly through them. After all, he wasn't even real, he was just part of the little girl's imagination. As she arrived at the stand, she clamored, and placed a few coins on the top, and waited for her apple. Once she got it, she was happily bouncing off again, talking and chattering to Takumi of course. But then she saw a place with a really colourful drink, a nice pink one with a cute red umbrella, and the girl wanted it. Running towards that section, she didn't realize that's where a brewer was selling some booze. As an oblivious little girl, she just giggled as she ran, and then smack dab into someone's leg. Letting out a squeak, she hung on, and thus wasn't flung off, but then the child stumbled backwards. ''Uu uu! Sorry uu! Didn't mean to run into uu!'' she exclaimed, worry working on her face. She did feel bad.. And last time she had ran into someone like that, it hadn't ended well, as she could feel tears start to go up in her eyes. She didn't want people to be upset because of her! Strangely the streets of London that day were more crowded than usual, apparently there was an event going that revolved around the Chinese new year or whatever. Leonardo didn't have time for this and he was surprised how everyone was being so carefree in that particular moment. It hasn't been long since they had been transported into the game, was it really alright to relax like this so soon?
Maybe Leonardo was being too harsh on them though, right now no one knew what had to be done to return back, perhaps after clearing his mind for some hours even Leonardo would at least comprehend his situation a little bit better.
It was indeed strange to see so many people around and also so many Chinese based stands around, the once lifeless London of the game was unexpectedly full of life that day.
"Well, why not join this festival anyway? This won't come again anytime soon so I better take this chance while I can"
Leo said in the privacy of his mind, in the end he convinced himself that a little bit of relax could only do him good.
Time passed fast from one event to another, night descended on London and Leonardo walked around aimlessly after dinner. The event was almost over but there were at least a few hours till the fireworks shows started. What could he do till then to pass the time? Leo placed his hands in his pocket and looked at the ground with an expression of being in deep thought. Sometimes when he thought too much Leo wandered around in his own world and only a shock from the real world could bring him back. This shock eventually came in the form of a little girl that suddenly bumped on his leg.
Leo snapped back and looked down to see this girl, she had a familiar look and apologized to him while her eyes were slowly filling up with tears. Leo then remembered, she had met this girl during his first day of hunting, even then he found it strange that a girl so young managed to get inside the game and felt bad for her, Leo didn't know if she had anyone taking care of her here.
Leo's face was beginning to show signs of nervousness, he wasn't really used to being around kids but that girl was about to burst in tears and Leo didn't want her to make a tantrum around so many people.
"Why the hell do I keep getting in these messes?"
Leo thought while feigning an incredibly awkward smile to make her feel better,
"H-hey, don't worry it's okay, look, do you remember me? We hunted together not so long ago"
The reality was that Leo didn't have the slightest idea of what to do to calm her, if only his sisters were in this game they would have surely made a much better job than him, they practically raised Leo themselves when their parents didn't have time for him.
Eventually his nervousness showed up in the form of his wolf hair and tail reappearing on him,
"Oh crap..."
Leo sighed while his wolf ears fell on his shoulders in a defeated manner.

Do you believe in ghosts? “Well, would you look at that…” From a perch high up in one of the ruined buildings of the city of London, a player dressed in burned, ripped, and slashed clothing looked down at the distant collection of lights and people in the streets. He had just arrived a few moments ago after a long day of crafting new weapons and studying the books of old which populated the shelves of his underground library, and he was quite curious about the distant sight. From where he was sitting; it looked like a festival of some kind. However, Saber had not heard of such an event from any of the non-player characters so it was probably safe to assume that it was player-run. Or it was a prime example of how little Saber had interacted with others since he started the game.
Maybe tonight would help him change that. He had been fighting for far too long and wasn’t exactly enjoying his time in Elder Tale. Unlike many who were probably laughing and smiling, Saber had been grumbling and seething much of the time since his arrival in the new world. The only other person he had really became close to, if one could call their relationship “close”, was a fox-tail named Nala. He had met with several players so far, but none of them really stood out in his eyes too much. That was expected though. First encounters were only fire starters. It was everything that came after that would build on the flames of friendship, or hatred should the relationship between people turn down such a road. For Saber, he had only lit fires. He hadn’t added fuel to the flames or helped any of the pits grow at all. Foundations were formed but nothing had been added to them, yet. It made Saber feel lonely, and it hurt. It hurt a lot. However it was his choice. Hopefully, if everything went to plan, he wouldn’t have to walk around by himself for much longer.
Gripping at the concrete ledge he sat on, Saber stared towards the distant lights, mulling over the thought of joining the festival. From the looks of it, the party had been going on for a while now and it was most likely at its peak of life. Several people were leaving but there were still a few who were returning to it, so that reassured Saber that he wasn’t too late to head over. Although if he wanted in on any of the fun; he would have to hurry. He didn’t have any idea of when the festival would close down, nor did he have any idea of when some of the stalls would start to close. With that in mind, there was no time to waste thinking. The player slipped off the ledge of the hole in the wall and dropped down into the tree just below him. He grumbled as he landed on a thin, natural arm and quickly hopped down to the bottom coupling of tree branches. In order to reach the ground, Saber placed a hand and a foot on the trunk of the tree and slid down; using it as a break of sorts to keep himself from free-falling and hurting himself.
Once on the ground, Saber merely walked through the empty streets on the outskirts of the city. It was quite where he was, and it was cold, but that was mainly because everyone had most likely collected around the festival. As he drew closer to the bright lights, more people began to appear in the alleys, buildings, and on the streets; many of whom held souvenirs that they had picked up from the stalls. Saber saw players carrying candied apples, roasted meats, fish, toys, and even charms. Several women, and a handful of men, were dressed in Japanese-style kimonos. A few people had dressed in costumes of sorts, a few wore face paint (whether they purchased said paints or did the painting themselves, Saber didn’t know), and some Adventurers simply wore their casual clothing. After looking at everyone in their nice, clean clothes, Saber was reminded that he probably should get a new set himself. Though, the player only huffed at that thought and continued towards the festival. Even though he probably looked like he had come back from some long battle in the swamps with a dragon, Saber was content with what he wore. It protected him and kept him warm; but those were also excuses he used. In the back of his mind, Saber knew he needed to see a tailor; he was just too lazy.
“Wow that’s bright…” That was the first thought Saber had as he turned to the first festival street. Tiny lanterns dangled above the street on little wires, almost blinding the assassin as his eyes adjusted from the lack of light to the flood of it which poured out from the dozens of tiny suns in his face. He blinked multiple times and shook the slow change too effect, and when he could see again Saber began to make his way down the street, his eyes glancing from one stall to the next.
Players loitered all over the place, hugging the countless stalls for food, games, and multiple prizes that Saber doubted anyone would win. Though, he did see a few stalls that he became interested in, but he continued to walk by them without stopping. There were far too many people for his liking and it reminded him of some sort of college party of sorts so getting involved with anything would have been far too much work. His lack of interest in anything only increased as he marched deeper into the core of the lively part of the festival. That reason was simple; he began to smell alcohol. It made his stomach cringe from how prevalent it was when he walked passed a group of people, stealing away his appetite. Just like in reality, it seemed there was still a lack of self-control in the game. So much so that he noticed one man was starting to become a little touchy, too touchy. The player didn’t want to cause any commotions or start anything, but the closer he got to the stall on his right, the more annoyed he became.
An older player, who looked to be around his thirties, was whispering into the ear of a much younger woman while rubbing her shoulder as he did so. It was quite obvious that the wolf-hair was uninterested in the dwarf’s sweet talking to the point that she had her entire back pointed to the man. However, that did not stop the male and he continued to speak and touch, letting his hand drift slowly south. Saber narrowed his eyes and ever so slightly adjusted his path, moving closer to the stall as he continued down the street. He did so as to not raise any attention. No one around seemed to help the woman, or even intervene to stop the obvious situation at hand and that made Saber feel even sicker than he felt when he got the huge whiff of alcohol. The ignorance of the people around was the main reason plenty of women were raped in the real world, and Saber wouldn’t let another tally be added to that list.
“Hey.” The instant Saber began to pass the stall; he had turned to his left and spoke up. His adjustments had allowed him to essentially move right up beside the dwarf when he stopped without getting the man’s attention beforehand. Though, at the shout for attention, the outcome was the same and was expected; the dwarf’s face scrunched in anger as he looked over at the elf beside him. Saber wiggled his nose beneath the cloth scarf as he stared into the dark brown set of eyes. This man was definitely drunk.
“Wha’ da hell does you wont, boy?” The dwarf retorted, taking a heavy swig out of the drink he held with his free hand, suckling the yellow liquid down without hesitation. The woman took the chance Saber gave her and moved away from the dwarf, but she didn’t get far before she was forced to stop. The man snagged onto her arm and pulled her back. The entire table shook and the female player released a yelp of surprise. “Hoed on, lil ladeh. I’m nut done talkin’ tah yo-” The man snorted, but he wasn’t able to finish his statement. Before he could, a flash of movement to his left snagged the oxygen from his lungs. In the split second of speech, the rusted edge of a knife was gently lowered onto his wrist, pressing into his flesh just enough as to add pressure, but it didn’t break the skin.
“Yes you are.” Saber spoke louder as he rocked the blade gently on the dwarf’s skin, adding a slight amount of pressure to enforce his threat. The older man snarled and looked over at the new arrival again, a kindling fire in his eyes. Saber only looked at the player and narrowed his eyes. The ultimatum was given.
“Wat’er you gonna do? Go on ahead, slice me! You’d jus bring da Guardians ‘n’ dey’ll deal wiff ya.” The Dwarf sneered, but Saber only grinned at the challenge.
“That’s only if I hurt you.” Slowly, Saber retracted his knife and sheathed it, returning the weapon to the resting place on his thigh. The Dwarf scoffed and looked over towards the woman in his grasp. With both hands now free, Saber moved onto a much more aggressive offense. He sliced forward and chopped the dwarf’s wrist, causing the hand to open as the sudden attack caught the dwarf off-guard. Immediately, the hand popped open and released the woman. Before the dwarf could move to retaliate, Saber chopped his throat, grabbed his shirt, and kicked out the chair he sat on. In a fluid motion, the player slammed the heavy-set player flat onto the ground directly on his shoulders and the back of his head. The impact would daze him, most likely upset him, but it wouldn’t damage him. Still, it had done the job. Though, it may have been a bit much as the clouds began to rumble.
Saber sucked his teeth but his job was done. During the commotion, the woman had left the stall and escaped the Dwarf, leaving the drunkard empty handed. Saber released the player and stepped back, ignoring the eyes which fell on him as he had other problems. Before he left, Saber slipped a few pieces of gold to the stall’s owner and apologized for the mishap. Then, he fled. The Guardians would not be happy about his attack, and Saber didn’t feel like sticking around to see what his punishment would be…

Yeah I'll take my time It is my part - No Selavain still felt bad, and even as the person seemed to be freaking out slightly, the young girl child kept her eyes to the ground, trying so hard not to cry. Hearing the light stutter, the girl felt her heart churn more. She didn't like hurting people and obvious she made him nervous. Part of her just wanted to dash away! To just run away and leave this poor guy behind, and go cry in a corner at her failure for not bothering anybody. These feelings made her little frame shake with the worry and the guilt, and it was starting to make her feel sick in some manner. Of course, Takumi knew he had to do something, and thus shouted at her. ''No! Sel! Look at him, hurry!''Listening to her friend, the girl raised her small head, purple blue eyes staring at the figure. The girl finally got a good look at this point. Suddenly, she recognized the male, and what he had said about meeting before! And then her voice squeaked, as the tears nearly instantly vanished, instead replaced with an unbound joy. She knew this person, and this person knew her! ''Wolfy Wolfy!'' she exclaimed happily, suddenly clinging to his leg. The happiness was giant, she hadn't disturbed a giant meanie or a random stranger, but instead made one of her friends worry. So she had to make up for that! The girl giggled, and then snapped up his tail in her fingers, petting and playing with it, the candy apple bobbing. ''Uu uu, Great Wolf Stryke, how have you been~?'' she asked, tacking on the title she had given him from their last encounter, and looking up at him with a giant smile. She felt so happy just being there, but Takumi felt.. troubled. No not because of the wolf hair, but the eyes around the small girl. Drunken, needy eyes, as they stared at the small little girl with something akin to lust. Takumi shivered, disliking this feel, and the weird pungent smell of alcohol. The male let out a soft sigh, and then kept an eye around him, afraid for the health of his small charge. But he had a feeling that the wolf-man would protect her from any grabby persons. ''Uu! Great Wolf can have this!'' she said, handing him the candy apple, before running towards the place with the pink umbrella. She'd get him one of those too! Well maybe not the pink one, but something similar. The small red-head was suddenly swallowed up by the crowd, due to her small stature, and ran up to the counter of the brewing place. Of course, it was probably not a good idea, as the drunken dwarf was ejected from another stand.. and found himself standing behind the little girl, that couldn't reach up to the counter. ''Uu, uu uu! Can't reach can't reach!'' she whined softly, as the bloody dwarf was probably more then still drunk.. and thus his hands picked up the small child up to the counter. ''Uu uu thank you uu!'' she said happily, digging out some coins, and picking three drinks; one for the Great Wolf, one for herself, and one for the dwarf as an act of kindness. She picked the one with a big mug for him, liking the foam that the others had; he let her down, and she ran off with both drinks, humming happily. ''Uu uu that man was nice Takumi!'' she exclaimed to her friend, almost happily, unaware of the male following her. She just arrived back at Stryke, and lifted a drink towards him. ''Uu uu they have colourful juices~ So I got one for you, uu uu!'' she said happily. The little girl hadn't taken a sip out of hers yet, so someone could still tell her that it wasn't what she thought it was, as she grinned, happily shuffling around her friend. And the guy running off from the other stall? Takumi saw him, but wasn't sure where he was, so it could be that he had either ran into Stryke or would even appear right in front of the little girl shortly.. but hey, who knew right? Life was mysterious like that. At least in so far Takumi was concerned. [/b] Stryke Saber• Words; 0713 • Music; Mein Teil :: Rammstein • Notes; so I stole your dwarf to set him up Saber, so weee. The little girl wasn't listening to him, she just kept her head to the ground while tears were wetting her eyes. It didn't help that almost everyone around had their eyes fixed on the 2 adventurers for the commotion the little girl was making.
Leo attempted to calm her another time, but before he could open his mouth she raised her head and finally looked him in the eyes. As she saw his face her frowning expression suddenly changed to one of sheer joy,
''Wolfy Wolfy!''
she exclaimed and then hugged his leg with a tight grab. Leo feigned an awkward smile and stared at the little girl while his mind raced fast, desperately trying to get a better grasp at the situation. Leo was everything but a person who easily shared signs of affection with others, so he felt weird when the girl suddenly clung up to him like that. He was unsure on how to behave, if she was old enough he would have had no problems in treating her with his usual distance but she was just a little girl, he wasn't even sure she had anyone in this world to care for her.
Before he could act again, the girl bent a bit and with a swift movement she caught his tail with her fingers, a chill was sent down his spine and he looked in complete horror as the little girl played with his tail.
It was still incredibly awkward for him to even possess one, he couldn't help but feel weird every time he touched his own tail or could the texture of his own fur touching objects around it. The sensation of having a stranger touch it was even weirder, a long time had to pass indeed for him to get fully used to his new wolf features.
Leo's ears twitched occasionally and his face was frozen into an expression of complete uneasiness, he wanted to jump out of her grab but he feared to startle her, he didn't want to be rude with the girl so he just waited while praying in his mind for her to stop soon.
'Uu uu, Great Wolf Stryke, how have you been~?''
Selvain asked him with a big smile, Leo feigned another smile and responded trying to sound as much cheerful as he could, he didn't know why but he didn't want to ruin her happiness with his usual distance:
"I've been doing just fine, thanks, and you seem to do pretty well yourself"
Leo looked around himself for a split second, he didn't notice before how many ugly faces there were around here, most of them were drowned in alcohol and soon lost interest in the two adventurers. Leo wondered why Selvain was hanging around a place like, it wasn't certainly a place for little girls, she must have been completely obvious on the nature of this part of the festival.
With another big smile Selvain gave Leo her candy apple, Leo accepted the gift with another feigned smile and responded:
""Well...thanks an-"
Leo couldn't finish his sentence as Selvain suddenly started running towards another stand,
"Wait! where are you going?"
Leo shouted while trying to keep an eye on her through the crowd in vain, in a few second she just disappeared.
"dammit"
Leo said in frustration while trying to find the little girl, to be honest it was incredibly fortunate that Leo had bumped on her before, he could hardly imagine what could have happened to her around here if he wasn't around, It seemed that Leo's goal for the day was suddenly changed from relaxing to babysitting, no matter what Leo had to at least bring her to whoever was taking care for her at the moment. Leo was traversing the crowd while he suddenly heard some harsh noises coming from the stand where Selvain had run to, after a few second then a black figure dashed out of the stall, it seemed like he was escaping for one reason or another.
"What the...?"
Leo said while stopping for a second and looking in the escaping man's direction, then he focused and resumed his search.
After a bit Leo could see from the crowd of that stand Selvain returning with a bunch of drinks in her hands, Leo sighed in relief before realizing the inevitable,
"Wait...drinks?"
He thought, in this place the only certain thing was that stalls only served alcoholic drinks, why one of the stall keepers even considered to sell her those was beyond his imagination.
uu they have colourful juices~ So I got one for you, uu uu!'
Selvain said with another big smile, Leo sighed and tried to think of a way to get her to not drink it without resorting to force,
"Ehm...Look, I don't think that drink is good for you, it's an adults drink, this would only hurt you I'm afraid"
Leo said, then he bent over his knees and tried to smile with as much conviction as he could:
"If you want, I know a place near where they make good drinks that you would absolutely love, what do you say?"
Leo hoped that she would listen to him, he could only imagine what disaster might happen if she drank that.

Do you believe in ghosts? The life filled streets were becoming a bit of a bother as Saber made his way in the opposite direction of the stall he was at. The further away from that place he went, the more children he began to bump into. The stalls shifted from food and drinks to mostly all games or recreational things. It was a strange sight, and the transition was almost instant. At one point, Saber smelled a mix of drinks in the air. Next thing he knew, there was some scent of flowers or makeshift perfume because of the number of women suddenly spiking. It was weird, very weird, but that was a festival. Some people stuck to some parts of the zone while others kept to another. For people who didn’t want alcohol, they obviously avoided that zone. For people that hated games, finding them in the game-filled area would be a rare sight. Saber himself wasn’t exactly interested in playing any of the games around him but it was a much friendlier place to be at. Unlike the alcohol-filled air, the sweet scented oxygen he breathed in now sent chills down his spine. He tried not to really say anything, but he loved women.
Yet it was because of his love for them that he avoided them like the plague. Their sweet and lovely scents, their soft and kind voices, the warm touches of their hands, and even their luscious bodies drew the male’s attention. Oh lord they brought out something inside Saber he could not control, and that gave him plenty of reason to shun them out of his life. Losing control of a situation, no matter what it was, made Saber extremely uncomfortable. It was quite obvious that he could become malleable if a woman poked at him for too long so revealing that fact to his enemies would be the end of him. Shiori was the only woman he could comfortably be around. She was kind, loving, and always full of smiles; but Saber never felt awkward around her. It was a strange thing, and one he never questioned. He was just happy she was willing to help the fool with his troubles of living in the city.
There was no Shiori here, however, and every woman around Saber was like a bush full of thorns. He hissed under his breath and after a few moments of walking he learned that his problem was only going to get worse. In the distance, Saber could see nothing but women. It was like the entire cluster of stalls just beyond the children was aimed directly at the feminine gender. It made Saber fearful, so he turned about his heels and casually started to make his way back. To be honest, he would have rather smelled alcohol for the rest of the night than deal with trying to avoid the untamable beast known as the female. He could push a drink aside, but a persistent woman would never go away. Well, Saber would probably have to do something very drastic and mean to get the woman to shoo, but he would never be able to bring up the courage. Upsetting a lady was a mistake punishable by death. Maybe he should get a drink or something…
Saber sighed at that thought and watched as a few kids skittered by him. They moved like a swarm of bees through the crowd as they moved from one stall to the next. Two girls and a male followed closely behind them, most likely keeping an eye on the little creatures. Saber smirked and adjusted the his scarf to cover up his face before walking away. A family would have been nice, but Saber doubted he could deal with the children. As he began to smell the filthy stench of alcohol again, the player grimaced. He probably sounded like an old man. He loved women but avoided them, wanted a family but hated children, loved games by loitered around alcohol; how nice. The day Saber entered the world of Elder Tale, he knew something was wrong with his mind. Yet, he didn’t think it was this bad.
“Freakin’ game…” The man chuckled to himself as he made his way back to the stall he had found the dwarf at. From a distance, he could see the man was no longer toying with any women and was just enjoying a drink. Saber didn’t want any trouble so instead of going to that stall to hang around, Saber went to the one beside it. Behind the bar, a lovely wolf-hair female wiggled her tail as she mixed a drink for another customer. At the appearance of the masked player, Saber could see her ears perk up.
“How can I help you, Stranger?” She spoke up loudly but didn’t look over at Saber initially. It wasn’t until she finished pouring the drink for the other man that she did. Saber avoided eye contact and stared at the array of bottles in the back of the tent. Even as the woman walked over and leaned onto the counter beside him, Saber refused to look over.
“Whiskey. Just a shot.” Saber muttered underneath his cloth. The woman raised one of her eyebrows and stared at him.
“Whiskey all by itself? No soda or juice? You sure you can handle that, little man?" The poison touch to the woman’s words made Saber’s stomach tinge. He slowly looked over at the wolf-hair, his eyes empty of emotion. She really was going to question him? Seriously? “Alright~ One plain shot of whiskey, coming up.”
“Good girl.” Saber leaned onto the counter and watched as the sharp-tongued bartender fetched his drink. He didn’t drink much, and he actually hated the taste of anything other than water, milk, or juice. Yet, after a long day of hunting, his father sometimes let him take a sip of the man’s drink. It tasted disgusting, like burning glass, but it reminded him of home. It wouldn’t hurt to have a small taste of home again.
