[attr="class","capsol"] Probably not the adventure that Rapp was looking for at the moment, but the boy had finally left the shipyard in what he could only assume was the Blue District. At least, from what his dad told him about the Blue District, and its incredibly large port city. Well, it wasn’t quite as big as Lavender Atoll, which Rapp was more than familiar with, but maybe it was. He wasn’t sure at all. All he knew was that he had this nifty new armor, fit perfectly for him, and this sword thingy on his back now! They were so cool looking, he just wanted to take them off and admire them for a bit. But, that wasn’t the point of being here at the moment. The biggest thing he needed to focus on was finding the pirates, as soon as possible. Once that was accomplished, he would learn the tricks of their trades, and become a sea-dwelling man himself! Ah, his dream was coming to life, so quickly!
Of course, this meant having to try and find the pirates, first. But that wouldn’t be too hard a thing to do. He just needed to walk around for a while, and eventually he’d find a surly pirate man. Or woman. Did women become pirates, too? Rapp had no clue at all, but it would be fun to see. Maybe women could be stronger than guys, too! Maybe Rapp would work under a female pirate captain, and become one of her most prized men as a result! Boy, that would be cool! And then when she kicks the bucket, because every old person kicks a bucket for some reason, Rapp would become a pirate captain himself, and he would begin to rule the seas using his own knowledge, which he would learn from the old pirate captain. He’d fully take over, and own the ship and all the crew. Of course, this still meant trying to find some pirates here in the city. He’d get there when he gets there, but for now, Rapp toured around the city area, trying to find one.
Being in an entirely new city was something that Rapp didn’t expect to be so fun, though. He had no idea what to expect, and even less of an idea who to expect to come his way. But, it seemed that people mostly left him alone, to do whatever it is he wanted or needed to do. He could have grabbed a drink or something, if he was thirsty, but that wasn’t why he was here. Actually, he thought he could see a fountain or something up ahead, and wanted to stop there for a few minutes, just to see if he could find anybody surly and burly enough to fit the bill. Rapp started to pick up his pace just a bit more, and made his way over to the fountain. He reached up, and pulled himself so that he was sitting on the stone, and started to look around.

[attr="class","capsol"] This was a surefire way to find a pirate, Rapp was certain! There wasn’t any way that he could miss someone like this, and he would definitely make sure of it. But, given that he had been sitting here for roughly 10 minutes by this point, it definitely wore on his determination to find said pirates. His childish mentality began to take over, as he started to silently wonder when someone hopeful or presentable would show up, so he could trail them back to their ship, and then sneak aboard. Or, outright ask them to bring him along. That would make things a hundred times easier. Maybe even a thousand. That would be great, except that would make it too easy, and he would just get a free ride into the bay of pirates. That's not the way, and Rapp knew it!
No no, Rapp would need to start his adventure off right, and get into their ship by doing it the hard way, which meant swashbuckling with the pirates, and proving that he's a capable young lad, strong enough to get into their company, through sheer force of will! Yeah, that would be how it's done, after all! No way in the world was someone given a free ride into a pirate's ship and crew just by talking big. They have to act big, too, and prove that they're a force to be reckoned with. And Rapp knew just how to go about that. But, the longer he sat there on the stone and looked around, he felt that things were get a little boring. Perhaps the young pirate-to-be was getting a little sleepy, and would need to take some time off to rest. He did, after all, just before, sneak onto a ship and stay awake the whole night. Perhaps it would do him some good to catch some sleep before long.
A big yawn began to form out of his mouth, as he stretched. Yeah, maybe settling down for a little nap somewhere nearby was just what he needed. The sound of catching some sleep did leave a nice impression on his mind, and he wondered for just how long he could sleep, before anything important happens. But, he remembered that he needed to remain vigilant, and keep on the lookout for any pirates that were coming by! No way in heck was he going to miss them. No, sir! This young lad would stay awake as long as he needed to, until he could find someone to challenge, in order to join their crew, or head to their captain and be recruited like that. All would go according to plan soon enough, so long as Rapp could keep his eyes open long enough. They slowly started to drift down towards the ground, though, feeling slightly heavy. He looked over to his side, saw that nobody else was there, and decided that he might as well rest his head. A small nap couldn't hurt, right? There were plenty of pirates around, he was bound to find one, sooner or later. Maybe he'd try a local inn? Maybe. This was his last thought as his mind drifted off to sleep.

[attr="class","capsol"] He dreamed of the roaring waves, crashing beneath the boat. The seagulls flying overhead, cawing as loud as they can. The ship's sails having caught a heaping helping of wind, sending the entire crew and boat forward. The young pirate master, Rapp Scallion, at the helm of his own pirate ship. His voice rang out powerfully, shouting a hearty pirate call. The rest of the crew looked up to their fearless leader, and shouted back in kind. These were his men and women at sea, and they were his faithful crew! Together, they pillaged and plundered all of the sea booty he could find with his keen pirate's eye! He brings an eyeglass up to his face, and looks through it. A merchant ship on the horizon! He cries out as such, and the crew gathers together in a mighty cheer.
The ship begins to steer towards the merchants, the pirates all bellowing together in hearty cries. Their eyes are set on the merchants, and their hearts are filled with adventure. A gleam of happiness and excitement appear in the eye of their fearless leader, Captain Scallion, as he turns the wheel hard, as they get closer to their target. Rapp gave the command, and the cannons fired from the sides, blasting through the sails of the ship. With their movement hampered as such, the boat starts to sail closer to the merchants, and Rapp gives the order to board. The crew shouts again, and started to board and pillage the merchants for all their goods. But, what they didn't see, on the other side of the merchant ship, was another, better armed ship! It must've been a frigate! Rapp calls the crew back, and tells them to prepare for battle immediately. They come back, and man the cannons. Just as the first round of cannonballs fire, the Captain feels his eyes getting heavy, and starts to fade out.
Rapp, the tiny pirate-to-be slowly began to open his eyes, which shot open when he heard a scream nearby. He jumped up and off the fountain's side, feeling a little woozy from moving so drastically so quickly, and started to look around. He found a woman screaming and pointing up at something. Was it a pirate? Was this the chance that Rapp had been looking for? The chance encounter, that he so desired, to help bring his dreams into reality!? This is his chance! This would be his one-way ticket to the helm of a ship, and sailing across the world as he saw fit! Rapp spun around, and looked over to where the woman was pointing, as a few more people began to stop and stare. What he saw wasn't a pirate of any kind, but more a big gaping hole in the middle of the plaza. Confused, and mildly let down, Rapp looked around a little bit more, trying to see if there were any pirates in the plaza at the moment. He rubbed his eyes, trying to see better, but his vision was still hazy from his slumber just moments before. He shook his head a few times to regain his eyesight, only to hear the strange sound of buzzing...

[attr="class","capsol"] Buzzing? Very strange thing to hear, all of a sudden. Just as Rapp thought this, a large mass began to exit from the portal. What looked to be a huge bunch of bees or something like that. A very peculiar sight, but one that the tiny pirate was likely going to see more of, when the time came. However, something felt... Off. An eyebrow was raised, as people started to scream and run away. Why were people afraid of bees? They were everywhere during the summer back in Lavender Atoll, since there were so many flowers around. Bees didn't hurt people, unless people minded their own business, and didn't cause any trouble for the bees. These people were just silly, and didn't really know what to do when it came to these guys. Rapp would be fine.
Sitting back down onto the fountain and looking around more, he couldn't tell if there were any pirates to begin with, since now that everybody was shouting, some went running. Rapp let out a sigh. These people were just overly scared of something that isn't so scary. Now, what was really scary would be fighting a Kraken on the hull of a ship, in the middle of the water! With the thought of possibly dying at sea, which is how Rapp would want to go, but the thought was still excitingly scary! The tiny pirate stood up and started to stretch. These people needed to see that these bugs were just an easy thing to get rid of. Perhaps he would have to be a big ol' manly man, and attract the attention of pirates on his own by killing a few measly bees. He knew just how to do it, but since he didn't have a rolled up piece of paper, he would use the sword that he picked up on the boat.
Grabbing the hilt of the blade, and slowly turning around, he opened his eyes back up. A smug grin appeared on his face, but that very swiftly faded. What he looked up into wasn't a few bees. What he saw was a terrifying face of something bigger, stronger, than he was. It seemed to have eyes, glaring down at him. Before he had a chance to even shout out in fear, he felt something sharp seemingly pierce through him. He dared not to look down, but felt a lot of his body suddenly grow colder. His eyes were fixed upon the black mass, as both of their bodies jerked forward swiftly. Rapp's vision began to haze over, as he finally looked down to his stomach, which was no longer there. A gruesome scene was there before him, and he could do nothing but stare with shock and horror. He tried to draw breath, but his body wouldn't let him. Finally, his vision began to fade out entirely, as his legs gave out. The last things he saw were the stones of the fountain, as he fell limp to the ground. His small figure lay there, as three words escaped his mouth, slowly. "... mom... dad... s-sorry..." The light faded from his eyes at that moment, never to return...

[attr="class","capsol"] ...But the boy's story didn't end there. And yet, he is unaware of it. No, I had to intervene. It was my job to take care of this monster, whether the boy knew of my existence or not. I am not one to let another die so easily. Their lives are more precious than mine, which has been sullied by my deeds. I will make this right. One survivor at a time. The monster grew closer to the unsuspecting boy, having its body form into something like a weapon slowly. Quietly. The boy suspects nothing. But, neither does the monster. It was unaware of the opening that had appeared behind its own portal, allowing me into this plane. I will use this as my excuse.
The Pebble of Philosophy in my pocket begins to shine, granting me a power that I had long sought-after. I reached onto my side, and flourished the small wakizashi I had brought with me. My footfalls were undetectable. The wrongs that I had committed numbered too many for me to fail here. The many things I now had access to gave me far too much to use effectively. The blade I now held, reversed in my hand, would be the one to end this monster. I slowed my breathing. My mind cleared itself, while I moved forward ever silently. The world seemed to lose all noise, as I raised the blade up and to my side. Stopping my movement, I crouched down. With three words, I vanished. "Swift Sakura Slash."

[attr="class","capsol"] As Rapp went to turn around and confront the noisy little bees, he noticed something like a cut had already appeared and attacked them. As the bees started to disappear rather quickly, in something like a pixie's dust, the tiny pirate saw a man holding a strange looking sword. The guy seemed to be cloaked all over, and not a fragment of his skin showed. Not only that, but the armor that Rapp wore seemed to feel lighter, for some reason. He couldn't explain why, even in the slightest. Even the sword on his back felt lighter. He drew the weapon from its sheath, and held it. It felt normal. Like a light-weight object, just to be swung around here and there.
Once this revelation was made, the portal that the bees had appeared from seemed to open wider, and an even bigger cluster of bees showed up. What was going on, Rapp had to wonder? Was there something about the bees that he needed to pay attention to? Whatever it was, it looked like these new bees were just as angry, and maybe even a bit stronger than the other ones. But, for some unknown reason, Rapp felt like he could kill them himself, just with this big old sword. He gripped it tightly in his hands, and looked up at the cluster, which seemed to have fully appeared by this point. Charging his way over towards the monsters, Rapp raised the claymore in his hands, and let out a battle-cry. A massive grin was across his face, as he charged ahead. It felt like not even an armada could stop him at this point! Nothing could!

[attr="class","capsol"] I felt as though a massive weight had suddenly been placed onto my mind. The kid from before had started to charge towards the new monster that had appeared. I knew that this being would arrive, shortly after the destruction of its minion, and that this would be the true foe to defeat. My eyes darted to him quickly, and a scowl formed on my face. "Idiot kid!" I muttered, before vanishing once more. I could not allow the beast to target the child, who so idiotically ran into danger. Did he not realize that this is my fate!? This is why I am here! To correct my own mistakes, and better the world! I shall not let another die... Not once more. Not by my hand, and neither by the hand of this beast!
Holding the blade up before myself, I stopped in place. I touched the runes atop the blade's edge, as they began to glow. A small ball of fire began to form, and launched into the hive's mid-section, causing it to turn my way. Whether they wanted me to be here or not, I was a player in this little game that the child had started. I will be the one victorious. A grunt escaped my mouth as I lowered into a battle stance, before sprinting to it. I moved quickly, though the element of surprise was long removed by this time. I managed to dodge one of its attacks, before I began to unleash a flurry of strikes upon the various bees that were surrounding the center of the cluster. Due to my increased stamina, I was more than capable of dealing an incredible amount of damage to it, without being injured at all myself. This was the power of Yukimatsu, the blade I held, and my past, which it held so tightly within its steel.

[attr="class","capsol"] Surprisingly enough, Rapp wasn't the first one to appear and start attacking the monster. That masked guy from before suddenly appeared right next to the bees, and started slashing them up in all different ways and from all different directions. It was kind of cool to see, actually! He used a really weird looking sword, which Rapp had never really been exposed to before now, though it looked like one of the ones that his father would sometimes sell. Something about it being an import or whatever. The tiny pirate didn't pay nearly as much attention as he should have for the time being, considering that it was likely beneath him. Either that, or it would have been something he'd get to when he got older, if he stayed with his parents. But, thinking about his mom and dad right now made him kind of sad, so he ignored the thought from there.
Captivated by the movements of the masked guy, Rapp watched in awe as he darted back and forth. Was this guy a pirate!? Or was he one of the pirate's most dangerous enemies... A Ninja!? Whatever the case was, Rapp needed to try and hit it, too. Charging ahead again, Rapp lifted up the sword in his hands and swung it wildly in front of himself, swatting at some of the bees as the thing was close to the ground. Hack, slash, slash, hack, and all that good stuff, over and over again. He still felt strong, much stronger than before, but he couldn't explain why, even a little bit. The weapon in his hands just swung around as easily as a stick in his hand, but this one had a sharp and pointy side, too! A massive grin was still present on the boy's face as the attacks kept coming, unrelenting. Rapp was truly enjoying himself, despite the bees still being there!

[attr="class","capsol"] The boy... He was fighting now? Was he not scared? He could just as easily be killed, without a second thought. And he would stand no chance of surviving. Did people in this time not understand the problems that they faced!? I grunted slightly, as I landed on the ground once more, tossing my head to the side gently. It mattered not. It only meant that this monster would be dead all the sooner. The onslaught of attacks from where I had begun to chunk away from the monster's remaining cluster had already left its mark. However, something seemed off, almost immediately afterwards. The cluster started to condense itself into a more packed group, almost making one huge, thick, black cloud. While I would admit that I was caught off guard, I still expected it to pull something like this. From there, it began to slowly rise above the ground, and up into the air.
At least this meant that the boy was no longer in any danger. Such is the boon of certain patterns, I felt. The higher it got up into the air meant that I had more room to assault it with fireballs, which were its weakness. Whipping Yukimatsu back and forth before myself, I created yet another onslaught of flames, all of which would launch up into the air, soon after they were done casting and charging. The flames rose up and into the air, contacting and exploding on the mass. However, after the third full volley of flames, something seemed amiss... The object in the air, seemed to be getting closer to the ground. And it seemed to be aiming for one spot in particular: Right below where it was. I looked quickly to see, and my eyes widened greatly. The boy!! He was right underneath the impact zone! I held out my hand, and was about to shout, when it was too late... The object landed on the ground, flattening the boy...

[attr="class","capsol"] Weird. So, the bunch of bees grouped up together, and started to rise up and into the air. Rapp wasn't able to hit it anymore from where he stood, since a claymore only reached so far. Especially one that seemed fitted to his own proportions, which wasn't much shorter than his own body. Ironically, this meant that the long reach it had really wasn't all that much longer than a normal-sized adult's own arm-length. But, that didn't matter to Rapp. Instead, for now, he just stood there and enjoyed the fireworks that the masked man had started to shoot up and into the air, specifically aimed at the cluster of bees up above. However, as the bees had been up in the air for quite some time now, they didn't seem to move much else from there. Except, somehow, they started to get bigger to Rapp. Were they falling?
Yes. Yes they were. Fast, and right down towards the tiny pirate. Dropping the grin he had on his face, he only reacted by twirling the claymore over his own head, and holding it up and towards the beast. Suddenly, as the monster came close enough, a symbol that Rapp had never seen before appeared in his vision. A crest of some kind? All he knew was that his body had been fairly well protected, and the pain he felt was similar to having gotten a cut from running around and tripping. The words [Crest of the Oda] appeared before his eyes, which made no sense, and then the symbol swiftly exploded outward, cutting a path through the bees. It left an opening big enough for him to leap up and out of, but for some reason, his leap was much stronger.
Launching himself up and into the air, Rapp flipped forward, holding the blade up high. His body then began to crash back towards the ground at a high speed, effectively mimicking the skill that most Guardians would know as [Ephemeral Guillotine]. His blade sliced cleanly through the monster that was there, and a fine mist started to rise up from the creature's body. Whatever this mist was, it looked almost like bubbles. As Rapp stood back up, he looked around at the bubbles. Perhaps not a very manly way to end a fight, but this seemed like an indication that the battle was over. Twirling the sword onto his shoulder, he looked up in triumph, and started to laugh haughtily. A victory for the tiny pirate, which would soon lead him to his treasure and adventure!
However, as he continued to laugh, he looked around, and couldn't find the masked man anywhere. All he saw was the opening of a portal or something, much like the one he had seen the monster come through in the first place. Was this left open for a reason? Was another monster coming out? Going over to inspect, he found himself being slowly drawn into it. Without much else to think of, he entered the portal. And what he found on the other side was...

[attr="class","capsol"] Somehow, the end of the battle seemed to be much different than how I imagined it would. I was still dumbfounded that the boy was able to live through that attack, by using a skill that took many a Guardian years to master. On top of that, the damage that it lashed back to the monster was immense... The boy wasn't able to see it from his perspective, but the beam of light that had appeared from the impact zone almost after the monster had fallen was intense. Soon afterwards, the boy seemed to rise from the monster's body, and cleaved it right in two with a powerful slash. It will take me a long time, before I understand what exactly happened to make the boy so strong, but his potential was impressive... Far beyond what I had suspected of a mere child. I had not judged him fairly, when I first saw him. Perhaps he was stronger now, than I even think at the moment? None of that mattered now, though, as I turned and started to walk away from the scene of the battle. The less people to see me here, the better. The redemption that I sought was not complete yet, nor would it be for quite some time. A rift in time had opened up to me, as a figure of a girl appeared in the doorway. She looked to me, her eyes without emotion. She saw the boy beyond me, and raised an eyebrow, before speaking. "Is it safe for him to have seen you?" She asked me. Her glower appeared forceful at first, though her worry was justified. "Would it jeopardize things here, in this time?"I raised my hand to her, motioning for her to settle down. "Worry not, Sasha." I began. My eyes drifted to the boy, who was now laughing as though he had felled a great monster. "This is not his time, despite being born here. He belongs... Elsewhere." My eyes returned to the way ahead, though shifting to the girl as I walked on. "Perhaps he belongs more in our time than he does here."She calmed down, shrugging her shoulders slightly. The female Monk seemed to understand that I had my reasons. "If you say so, sir." She responded. We both began to step through the portal, and in an instant, were gone from the scene. My path lead me down different roads, but the destination was the same. Yukimatsu, to my left side, was the verification of my duty, which I owe to this world. And, it was a gift that I had Sasha here to help me, among others. My name is of no importance to those who dwell in this world. I am known only as The Lost: For my goals in this life are to atone for my actions in my past ones. This is my journey, and it just so happened to involve the boy.
