While it's been somewhat of a touchy conundrum in the past, I feel that having a battle system on the forum could help with the combat-oriented aspects of the site. Should such a system be implemented, it would be completely optional. You would not have to re-learn a whole new set of rules just because you want your character to fight a group of boars in the woods.
This poll's primary intention is to gauge interest as to whether or not you all would be interested in having an optional combat system on-hand to do whatever you want with it.
