Destination North: The Noblesse Oblige Quest

A new main storyline has started. Once again, it will be a character-focused storyline. The plotline will slowly unravel itself through multiple chapters and the story outline is laid bare for you to tell the story, your own way. Join up with your fellow Adventurers to explore the mysterious lands of the North and discover Scotia here.

All threads of the Noblesse Oblige quest will receive a +10% word count bonus per participant. This stacks so that a solo thread would have a +10% bonus, a two-person thread has a +20%, and so on. This bonus stacks with Mentor, Guild, and other bonuses but the maximum bonus allowable in these threads is +50%. The Noblesse Oblige bonus applies even if a Chapter is not the current one, so fear not if you are wishing to catch up. Note that the first chapter, and possibly subsequent chapters, cannot be run in groups of less than 3.

Much like the Celestial Arms release, we would like to see member submitted fan art of scenes which take place during the First Epoch of Noblesse Oblige. Send your art of any character or scene from the First Epoch to this account (@niseag ) by the end of March. All skill levels, from experienced artist to first timers are welcome to submit their sketches.

We are also looking for submissions for the Scotia Bestiary. If you or your party battles a new Scotian monster during your journey or if you think of one, submit it in this thread for review. If accepted, it will be added to the official Bestiary.

Small update: Step 1 of part one (NO1-1) has been changed to 3 posts with a minimum of 750 words. If you already began your adventure prior to 3/11/2016, you may still move forward with the 2 posts, 500 word minimum. After reviewing it, it seemed to make more sense with 3 posts.

A suggestion for the Scotia Bestiary

Name: Chalik
Level Range: 15-80
Type: Beast

Description:
A common beast of burden within Scotia, the Chalik ranges from 5-8 feet high at the shoulder (depending on level) and generally moves at a rate surprisingly rapid for its size and unusual gait. Incredibly sturdy, easy to train, and able to subsist off of much of the Scotian plantlife, the is a common sight throughout the northern lands whether as a mount or a working beast.

Skill List:
- Enrage: Goes into a frenzy, increasing Physical Damage and Resistance by 200%. Lasts 30 seconds with a 60 second cooldown
- Furious Swipe: Lashes out with a forelimb, knocking all enemies in its forward arc back 5m. 10 second cooldown
- Disembowel: Strikes with its claws three times, each is an automatic critical hit. 30 second cooldown.
- Regenerate: Regenerates 50% of total health over 10 seconds. Only able to be used when Enrage is active. 30 second cooldown.
Description:
A rare variant of Chalik that grows up to 10 feet in height, the Anisodon is a solitary and highly aggressive beast. It is highly resistant to physical damage and known to go into a deadly rage when it encounters something in its territory. Though it can be mistaken for its docile cousin at a distance, the markings on the Anisodon are an obvious sign to anyone with the right knowledge of the beasts.
