Hi everyone : )
After a discussion the other day that was had about campfires and how easily an Adventurer could or could not produce one, I got to thinking about it a bit and thought that it may make sense for us to have a basic set of items that are given by default to all new Adventurers, such as a flint, a canteen and perhaps a compass. This would also include the "magic bag" that everyone gets. Somewhere I came across it once before that everyone gets a magic bag by default but I couldn't find it again. This would also expand over to the crafting classes. Most commonly, I see this addressed for chef but any of the crafting classes could apply... people will ask "do I have the basic pots and pans?". So I am also suggesting adding a "Basic Crafting Supplies" for each crafting subclass, which is to be added to the profile.
So, in order to make this a little more clear, I would like to add a Magic Bag + description and a Starter Pack (name suggestions welcome) to include 3-5 common items every Adventurer would start with to the default character template and approval process. All existing characters could have this added to their profile upon request once finalized, of course. The crafting pack would be added to the Inventory by the new member the same as arrows or bullets would be if you selected those items as your starter item.
Right now, the only 3 items I can think of are as I listed above.. a flint, a canteen and a compass. I would like to hear suggestions on any other items that may be included in such a starter pack, either the general Adventurer one or the crafting class specific ones.
I also considered the idea that some of this, if it's not already (I admit, I didn't double check) should be added as basic crafting recipes. Such as a blacksmith being able to create an upgraded set of pots and pans for a chef or something like that. Again, it could be on the list already but if it's not, should it be?
Thoughts?
(I am aware that Saber posted a similar suggestion today but I had already been planning on addressing this before he did that, his thread just reminded me and got me thinking about it again.)
