[attr="class","capsol"] For once, it wasn't that bright of a day. In fact, the entire day had been completely overcast, though only light sprinkles were the only form of precipitation, and even then, it wasn't much. It was as though the day itself was fairly bland, and devoid of life. Especially in this city, which seemed to reek of deeper energies. Energy that Megumi would not quite understand, even by being here at all. Her eyes scanned the surrounding area, unable to really tell if there was anybody worth noting, mostly because nobody was even around. It seemed like only a few people were even here in this city, for some reason, even though the Swashbuckler had only just gotten here a few minutes before. This whole area seemed so dark, depressing, she couldn't help but sneer at every thing that moved. She sensed an intense feeling of danger, with every step she took in this place. She didn't like it here.
Now, the question would arise as to why the woman, especially of her being of such a higher blood, was here at all. It served no point for a woman of her caliber to be in the virtual slums, where peddlers and beggars resided, in order to not be covered in wind, snow, and rain. The answer was quite honestly the most simplistic thing in the world, though: She heard of some rumors, and decided to follow them. Rumors that entailed a man selling potions in the streets, asking for no money in return whatsoever. Not only that, but there was yet another rumor of the man holding three subclasses. While most people would be interested in how this person was capable of doing so, since the system only allowed one at a time, Megumi had another incentive to being here: Her previous experiences, concerning some mages. She likely wouldn't admit it out loud, but the previous encounter with mages and their old religious ways had somehow... Caught her interest.
As the woman continued through the streets, she eventually came to a spot where the road opened up just a bit more. A little bit lesser of a slum now that there was some breathing room between the buildings. However, going back to her original thought, she had somehow been intrigued by what most Adventurers had called that phenomenon a 'Main Scenario Questline.' Apparently, enough people had already taken part in it that they were already aware of the circumstances that followed having met with the sages for the first time, as exampled by the number of people who had been there on the first day they had spoken of it. As knew as she was to all of these Massive Multiplayer Online games and how they worked, she found herself captivated in the story that had been portrayed before her, through all of the other people that she had met. And, all of them felt real, even if they weren't necessarily, well... Real. She'd never quite felt that before, and it slightly changed her outlook on this world.
She meant slightly, only because this world wouldn't be necessarily complete until she had amassed all the fortunes that she so rightfully deserved in this world. Once she was even a fraction of how wealthy she was, back in the real world, she would begin to care about the others who were there already. As much as she might not enjoy the idea of waiting to gain her gold, a family fortune wasn't built up over a single week. Megumi would have spent some time further thinking about the concept, but soon enough, she had found a decent enough spot to camp out and see if she could find that peddler that the rumors spoke of. There still weren't very many people around, but there were enough to warrant there being some shopping done. She didn't want to stand out in the small crowd, but she also didn't want to blend in as well, either. She knew from what her father had told her that sometimes, one must do nothing to blend into a crowd, in order to remain completely hidden. For now, Megumi went up to one of the nearby buildings, simply folded her hands before herself, and began to wait, observing all the people as they had come and gone.

Marashi’s first impression of Avon: cold. Cold, however, was nothing new to deal with, but it did require her to wear her boots instead of going around barefooted. Hopefully she would find who she was looking for fast enough so that she wouldn’t have to go around with them on too long… Though that was a very real possibility. It was, after all, her first visit to Avon.
The day was not bright and sunny at all bur rather overcast and cloudy… which was actually messing with her attitude a bit. She felt fatigued and slow… and just tired. And tired enough to yawn as she stepped off the train at the station in Avon.
“Maybe I should just go to bed,” Marashi muttered to herself as she looked around.
“Sleep is always good,” Yume said, yawning after as if to make a point.
“Yeah, but then you wouldn’t be able to find out about the rumor or not,” Hikari pointed out.
Marashi sighed, realizing that Hikari was right… yet again. Sometimes it was a pain to have a shikigami that was almost always right… then again, Yume was right… but she just had bad timing on the circumstances.
She shook her head, hoping that would help to get her mind in order. Marashi was not in Avon to sight see… or maybe she was. However the sites she wanted to see were not on any map or brochure. Despite her better judgment, she was on the hunt for a rumor… though it was a very interesting rumor.
The rumor told of a man who had three, THREE, roleplay subclasses. That was unheard of, even when Elder Tales was just a game. Then again back when it was a game, you could only have one subclass, either a roleplay or a crafting. With the Unfounded Kingdom expansion, you had finally been given the option of having one roleplay and one crafting. Instead of hoping on one of her max level toons, Marashi had chosen to make a new character which was the avatar she was now stuck in. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but she probably would have been more comfortable on another like her assassin or even her sorcerer. However, there was nothing she could do about it.
For now, Marashi wanted to check out what was going on with the man with three roleplay subclasses. If it was possible to get them, then that would change so many things… for better and for worse in a way. However, that would only be if the rumor proved true. If they proved false, nothing major would happen and Marashi would make her way to the inn and sleep for the rest of the day. It sounded like a good idea.
Marashi made her way through the slightly crowded train station and into the city itself. There were more people around than she would have thought which could potentially make her search a bit harder.
As Marashi made her way around, she noticed someone that she didn’t expect. It was Megumi, a Swashbuckler that Marashi had met a few times in the past now and completed a few quests with. Why was she up here?
“Maybe she’s here for the same reason you are,” Hikari suggested.
“Maybe she’s here for the sightseeing,” Yume responded.
Either way, Marashi figured she might as well find out so she walked over to where the Swashbuckler was standing.
“I didn’t expect to see you up here,” Marashi said as she approached, “Are you hear about the strange rumor as well?”

'Cause the world might do me in / It's all right cause I'm with friends / Cause I'm giving up again / It doesn't matter + words: 663 + #7fc7d1 + | Lerical wondered what it was about Avon that put her on edge. Maybe the weather; it was awfully cloudy, and had been sprinkling ever so often. Or maybe it was the lack of people walking around that made her hold second thoughts about the town. She’d already been down quite a few streets and hadn’t managed to run into anyone. Her arms crossed over her middle and Lerical rubbed her hands up and down the sides of her arms, easing the chill that was settling in her bones. Yes, Avon was turning out to be very quiet, the opposite of the atmosphere of Londinium.
The Bard wished she had thought to pick up a cloak before coming over here, but the town itself wasn’t the reason she was there. One of her hands ran through her hair, trying to settle the bits that were starting to curl from the water in the air. She could deal with the conditions of Avon though for awhile longer if it meant finding the person she had come here to look for.
“But even that isn’t going well, now is it?” Her hands slipped underneath her armpits and stayed for warmth. “Humerus, ulna, radius--” Lerical slowly started chanting underneath her breath, listing the bones in the arm to fill the silence around her. It was odd; she supposed that a part of her missed being in a group with others. In times like this, another person's company was something she started to develop a craving for. “Scaphoid, Lunate, Pisiform bone--”
From what she knew, it was unheard of among adventurers to have more than two subclasses. The Medicine Man she came here to look for was someone that proved that wrong. It was said that he had three; the reason why being unknown. What was even stranger about this person was that they were a Lander, and it gave rise to a lot of questions. Were all Landers capable of this? What were the prerequisites?
“Triquetrum, Trapezoid, Hamate bone,” Noise filtered into her ears, and her murmuring stopped so that she could hear. The quiet noises of life and movement; she’d finally come upon a place with people in it. Lerical picked up her pace and began to trot forward, turning a corner, and then another before the sounds were a little louder and she saw someone walking down the street. A few more someone’s appeared and she uncrossed her arms and slipped out of the thin strip of a street and onto the wider one.
It wasn’t a hustle bustle atmosphere, but it eased the tension in her shoulders. This was a better place to start looking than wandering the streets. Even if he didn’t show up, or if he didn’t exist and the rumor was a tale spun to send adventurers on a wild goose chase, maybe she could get something the remember the trip by. With that thought in her mind, she rubbed her hands together and started to walk.
As she started her search, she spotted a head that looked familiar. Lerical didn’t have to try that hard to remember; the girl had been quite memorable. The familiar face made her lips tilt up and her pace hasten as she headed in Megumi’s direction, taking note of the other girl that was with her. “Megumi,” the woman called gently, not wanting to turn any heads from the others in the market. Her hand rose and gave a short wave as she approached and her pace slowed. Lerical dipped her head to the Swashbuckler before doing the same to the blue-red head with her.
“Are you well?” Lerical politely asked and then paused, waiting for her reply. It had been some time since they'd last seen each other and she had wondered about her and the others ever so often. The bard was curious about her company, and once more she turned her head to face her.
"I don't think we've met. I'm Lerical."

notes here. words: 608 |
Jade was investigating the rumor of a person with 3 sub classes, that would be something cool to learn she thought as she walked the streets. Jade had made so many friends lately she had been hoping to search with them but hadn't been able to catch them. So she came alone, leaving even Arcadia for now. After all a horse just brought unneeded attention on city streets. It was getting late though so Jade also had that on her mind as she walked through the streets. She had been busy of late, gathering plants, training on Arcadia and fighting things. It was like suddenly she had all this motivation to better herself. It was a nice change of pace and she still got to help others. She had been making potions and such for those that needed it and trying to learn what she could of the world.
It had taken her here, Avon, curious about the place she had been exploring all day, which was where she had picked up the rumors about a man with 3 sub classes. That intrigued her, as she would love to add another one, which one she wouldn't know maybe apothecary? She wasn't sure there were so many choices. Honestly it would be nice if it wasn't a role playing class, it would be nice to be able to cook again. She would admit that was one ability she missed the most about the real world. She hated how she had to buy food and couldn't make it herself. It was stupid how only chiefs could make food. Her attempts had just ended up with black goo. She had tried recipes from the real world too, but alas she had no such luck.
Jade sighed and cracked her neck, glad she was in town so she could wear her cute yellow and black dress. She smiled though as she noticed Lerical and the none other than Marashi and Megumi. She made her way over to them quickly, politely approaching still and talking once she got a chance. " Miss Kensington, Marashi and Lerical, How are you this evening? I don't suppose you are here for nothing. Are you searching for the man with three sub classes as well?" She was glad to be in their company,, she had been a bit creeped out in the dark streets and was glad to not be alone anymore. She might be a guardian but she was still not strong enough to have no fear. After all at the end of the day she was still a lone girl.
Looking the others over she was glad to see them. They all had began to fill a special spot in her new life. She also had to admit that Megumi, Marshi and Lerical were all cute. She tried not to make it seem like she was ever checking them out though as they didn't seem to go that way. It was her luck of course to be around three beautiful girls and be friends with them only to have them all be straight. She kept her eyes at their eye level. Jade just waited for a response and buried said feelings. Friends like these were hard to come by so she would just do what she could to support them. Though she hoped they didn't mind she wasn't straight, she had found herself in the closet here which was funny considering how much she had went through in real life, but she didn't want to rock the boat. Jade had accepted this world was her life, which meant that dating was something that would happen eventually.

[attr="class","capsol"] It didn't take too much longer for the Swashbuckler to receive company, as she had come to expect. Wherever she went, it was almost always common to see someone else she knew, or someone else that had partaken in a mission or quest alongside her. The first of which to show up was none other than her guild leader, Marashi. Now, the desire to refer to her as a form of Mexican Salsa music in which three stereotypical men wearing sombreros and playing folk-style instruments instead of her actual name was a definitely powerful desire, but she managed to stave it off for now. After all, it wouldn't do well to upset the guild leader as soon as she had shown up. However, it was proper penance for her alter ego's to refer to Megumi as another name. Instead of bringing this up at all, she responded to the question. "Yes, I'd heard some rumors, and come to check their validity. Glad to know I'm not the only nosy one around here."
Her attempt at a jovial comment was uprooted a few moments later as another face she had recognized had arrived. Turning to face the blue-haired newcomer, Megumi smiled. "I am doing well, Miss Lerical. Are you fairing as well, yourself?" She asked, as the Bard began to speak to Marashi not too long afterwards. Though as introductions had continued, it appeared that yet another would arrive before much longer. The bright blonde hair was incredibly memorably, as the fourth of their party had decided to show interest in this fable as well. Performing a light curtsy, Megumi spoke to the horse-rider. "A pleasure to see you once more, Miss Jade." She spoke softly, greeting her friend. At this point in time, Megumi felt like another person would show up as well, as if to complete a cycle of some kind. However, the only thing she noticed as the glare from a man behind a stall, looking over at the small congregation of girls now standing there in the plaza. Her eyes squinted, as he started to make his way over.
"My, my, my..." The strange-looking man began, slowly looking over all the girls. "To what do we owe the pleasure, ladies?" He asked, a grin stretching across his face a mile and a half long. Before anybody could make any kind of a response, he would start to step away, and beckon the girls over. "Right this way, I have some tonics that you may enjoy." A quick glimpse at his status bar would indicate a few very important things, most prevalent of all being the three subclasses he has listed. The Swashbuckler's eyes remained squinting, though she felt compelled to begin to follow him. It was at this point in time that she did finally notice that a few other people had gathered around the stall, looking at some of the items that the man had on sale. Arriving back at the stall, he continued to look over at the ladies, drifting his gaze between all four of them. Megumi, not wanting to take any risks, kept a hand steadily on her right rapier, should she need to defend herself in this place. The prospect might not be needed, as he didn't seem the type to fling into combat.
"Well then, girls." The man continued, placing a few more tonics on the stall's counter. "The name's Alasdair, purveyor of purifying potions and tantalizing tonics... Though, I assume that that isn't why you're all here." He glimpsed across the girls once more, before nodding. "No, you've probably noticed the thing hovering over my head, haven't you? What you people call a 'status bar?' More specifically, the number of those silly little subclasses there, and I'm sure you're dying to know where and how exactly I came about those, huh?"
Without skipping a beat, Megumi spoke up. "The concept of having so many is intriguing, I'll be the first to admit. Though I have to wonder more about you, and where it is you came from."
The man faked a blush. "I'm so flattered to having you taken an interest in my, my lady." His response was strange, to say the least, causing Megumi to don a face of disgust at the notion. He chuckled at the reaction, before muttering softly. "Yeah, yeah, story of my life..." Alasdair continued, though. "I've come from a land up north, and I've been going from town to town, selling these potions to make a living wherever I stay next. This place sure seems to be nice, I'll admit, and I think I'd like to stay here... However, I've got a certain... Urge, to head back north." It was almost as if he had practiced this speech before. Despite how forced it was, it seemed powerful. "After all, not much down here quite like it is up there, where the monsters are liable to rip your head off, as soon as you show up. Monsters so vicious, they want to eat you just for the sake of killing something. Monsters to powerful, hefty rewards in gold are given out for their defeat and capture."
The Swashbuckler's eyes widened for a moment. Money? Lump-sums of gold? Perhaps coming here wouldn't be so much a waste of time, she thought. But, the strange man continued. "The lands, torn by all sorts of war and violence, though still retaining all the beauty of the shimmering oceans and rivers in the sun-lit days! Monsters so dangerous and foul, though they are countered only by the natural beauty of the lands surrounding them! A gold-rich foundation so flowing with currency, even the poorest person could afford 6 houses! It's a land that one wouldn't necessarily want to miss out on, and boy am I missing out on it..." He fell silent from there, trying to see if any of what he was saying was sinking into the minds of the girls before him. "Perhaps... Perhaps I'll head back up that way soon. I figure it's been a while, and I've gotta hit some more towns along the way, so..." It was almost like he was just trying to invite the girls along by this point, and he fell silent once more, to see if what he had said would pique their interest.

After Marashi walked up to Megumi, Megumi agreed that she too had come up to check out the rumor that had been going on. Just after Megumi finished speaking, another person walked over to them. Marashi didn’t recognize them at all, but she seemed to know Megumi. That kind of surprised her as it seemed that the two of them kept running into each other all the time... Either that was a sign or a warning, and Marashi wasn’t quite sure what it was. The other girl who walked up didn’t recognize her either so at least Marashi wasn’t forgetting them by accident. She introduced herself as Lerical.
“It’s nice to meet you, Lerical,” Marashi nodded, “I’m Marashi.” On her interface, she noted that Lerical was a Bard… quite a fitting name. She hadn’t met many Bards since the virtualization as they were more of a non-healing support-type class.
“Hey, it’s someone else we know,” Hikari exclaimed, and that caused Marashi to look around. Not too far away was yet another familiar face. Jade, the Guardian. She was a reliable person, and Marashi thought it was nice to run into her… or maybe have her run into them was a better way of putting it.
Megumi greeted both Lerical and Jade just in time for a strange man begin to make their way towards them.
“Creeper…” Yume muttered. Marashi couldn’t help but agree… however, there was something that caught her attention right away. He had three roleplay subclasses. Him? Out of all the people it could have been?
“I vote we keep our eyes open,” Hikari commented, too cheery for what Marashi thought she would sound like.
Marashi internally rolled her eyes but listened to what the guy was saying. He introduced himself as Alasdair, saying he was a provider of potions and tonics. However, he seemed to have a full of himself tone saying that he knew that they weren’t there for potions, and that they were there instead for the fact that he had three roleplay subclasses. It was true, of course; however, he didn’t have to sound so full of himself in saying so. It kind of irked her, but she said nothing as Megumi had spoken up, saying she was wondering where he had come from. It was a fair enough curiosity. After all, he had just arrived and the rumors had started not too long after his arrival. If he had been around before then, the rumors would have circulated a lot faster.
The man, Alasdair, seemed to be quite happy about talking himself. He said that he came from the north, and that he had been selling and giving away potions from town to town. He mentioned that the north was rougher, at least that was the simple version Marashi had pieced together. At the same time though, it seemed that he wanted them to join him on the journey to the north.
Marashi would have been lying if said that she wasn’t interested in going. Heading north to see what else was there sounded fun in all honesty. Most of the exploration expeditions had ended in Avon Valley, but she did hear a rumor of a failed attempt to head further north… something along the lines of people not working together and such. However beyond that, she hadn’t heard of anyone else trying to make that expedition.
“That does sound interesting,” Marashi finally said aloud, “It seems that you might need assistance then; heading north, I mean. I’m not sure about the others, but I would be interested in heading up there to see what it’s like first-hand. What kind of assistance would you need?”
