It had been a couple of days since Ashabel first arrived in the world, the first couple of days spent wandering around aimlessly while resting in seemingly random locations. She was still unable to find a single person she knew from the real world. Was everyone gone? Did she suddenly have a fresh slate? The thought sent a shiver down Ashabel’s spine, and a slight tear welled in her eye. It finally came to her, the one thought she never wanted to admit. Ashabel might never see her parents again, nor her friends. Tears rolled down her face, but her expression was not that of anguish, rather it was blank with shock. It was then that Ashabel began to wander, and her face stayed the same; however the tears had dried leaving darker streaks from her eyes down her cheeks. While she wandered her mind trailed back to the real world. She could smell the delicious scent of bacon being cooked by stovetop, it roused her from the deep slumber that claimed the young woman. Rising from bed she meandered down the halls of the house she lived in, and eventually she heard the bacon sizzling from the room right beside her. Turning around the corner, her mom expressed surprise to her her up so early. “Oh! You are awake! Mornin’ Ash. The bacon is almost done, about 3 pieces per person.” Her mother smiled while gesturing to the table top. Pancakes stacked three tall with the typical glass of orange juice sitting on the table. “There is also coffee in the pot, dear, if you would like some. But go on, dig in. After all, you have school in an hour.” Ashabel’s mother smiled as she flipped the bacon to make sure both sides were cooked. “Thanks mum!” The words came out sluggish, after all she just woke up. Rather than get coffee, Ashabel slowly marched towards the seat at the dining table, she was both starving and thirsty; or so it felt. Ashabel reached forward and grabbed the glass of orange juice, before lifting it to her lips to drink, down the entire glass, then picked up one of the pancakes by hand and chomped into it. “Augh! Owww! What are you doing you crazy...” A loud cry knocked Ashabel out of her daydream, and what was happening quickly made her realize what she had done. Her mouth was over another person's hand, and she could faintly see the indent left by her teeth. Her face turned a deep red as her eyes moved slowly to the face of whom she had just bitten. The man’s angry face seemed to twist and contort as he began yelling incoherently at her, prompting her to let go slow and back away, covering her face in shame while trying to make herself seem as small as possible. No matter what the man had been saying, the tone of his voice was what drove her over the edge. Tears welled in her eyes once more before finally the floodgates were broken. Water flowed from Ashabel’s eyes, down her cheeks, and began plopping off of her chin to strike the ground like raindrops often did during a storm with a slanted roof. Ashabel covered her face with her hands while the man continued to tell. ‘Why would I do that? God I’m such a terrible person, I never meant to...’ The thought repeated in her head. She never meant to. She never meant to be trapped in this world, she never meant to bite the man, she never meant to fail her college entrance exam. The yelling, that’s why she was crying. It was not what the man said, just his tone. He reminded her of her father, just before she had obtained the game. “I... I’m... I’m sorry...” Her voice was silent behind the man’s yelling, but he realized she had spoken words. “What was that? The stupid run said something. REPEAT IT!” The man bellowed the order. “I’m sorry!”“Sorry doesn’t cut it, kid. Come with me. I will show you how you can repay me.” The man grabbed her arm and began pulling her towards the gate to leave town. Ashabel tried not to follow, but his persistance eventually forced her to begin the slow march outside of london; her tears of sadness turning into a shocked expression of fear. Just where was this man taking her? She glanced around, the other people that had been watching earlier, now seemed to be visibly looking away from her on purpose, as if they did not want to be witnesses. New. That was what this world was. Amanda awoke from her brief nap in the shade - something she had gained an affinity for in the few days she had now spent in this new realm - releasing a wide yawn of breathy air from her lungs as her body stretched upwards towards the open sky. "Ah... Man, still not a dream, huh?" Her hands quickly moved to rub at her eyes, tracing out the dust that had formed in them due to her slumber. For the past few days she had been doing nothing but finding new places to sleep and relax, in an attempt to perhaps awake from what she thought was a weird dream. But alas, she was wrong.
"Well, best not waste the day, I suppose," she muttered quietly to herself, clambering up onto her feet. Her body reacted slightly as the scaled armour that clothed her moulded and moved around her curvaceous form; Wardenscale, it was called, and it was quite snug against her body, showing off a bit more than she may have been comfortable showing, but without money or resources, it was the best she would be able to use for the time being. Rolling her neck gently to get rid of the tension and knots in the muscles of her shoulders, Amanda - or, as she should more appropriately call herself, Aerila - brushed herself off and prepared to head out.
Leaving the shadowed alleyway she had called home for the night before, her footsteps clacked as she left they alley into the street itself; the blinding light of the sun quickly caught her off-guard, her hand darting up to block the rays from hitting her eyes. Thankfully, the character she had designed before the Catastrophe happened had a handy fringe of blue and red colours, conveniently creating a shady curtain to protect her vision, though it made it difficult to see on some occasions. "Real or not, the sun is still just as bright; no lens flares though, so I guess that's a bonus," she mused to herself, chuckling under her breath as a smile curled over her lips.
Lowering her hand once her eyes became adjusted to the new level of light, the Elven Warden stepped forward and began her first strides of the day, heading down the side of the street towards... well, whatever would garner her interest first on her morning walk. For the first stretch, nothing really stuck out at her, her ocean-like hues simply glancing over the various Landers and shops that dotted the landscape. The city was great and all, but beauty was better found outside of the confines of civilization; though people could be pretty beautiful too. Giggling to herself with a devilish smirk, Aerila shook her head as she regained focus on the task at hand, continuing to walk along the road.
"Wait, what's that...?" The Warden stopped in her tracks, blinking slowly as she concentrated on what she had just heard. If she wasn't mistaken, it sounded like a crying girl... Aha! A damsel in distress, what a wonderful way to start things off in this new world. Rubbing her hands together, Aerila moved her hand down to the rope that wrapped around her waist, making sure it was still there; her weapon (a kunai rope dart) was a little unconventional, but it had some nifty uses that could allow an Adventurer to avoid combat in the city. Her hand brushed down to feel the cold metal of the blade itself, the loop at it's base where the rope was tied through feeling tight and secure.
With her skills and mindset ready, she rushed forward, turning the corner to see a burly, angry-looking male - Lander or Adventurer, Aerila wasn't too sure - who was dragging along a rather tear-filled, distressed young girl. Scrunching up her expression, she stepped just enough to one side to put herself in the way of the duo, her hand deftly snagging at the kunai on her waist and untangling it from her waist. "I suggest you let her go, buddy ol' pal," she loudly exclaimed, giving an innocent smile to distract the man; before he would be able to answer, she whipped her hand forward, sending the kunai whistling through the air towards the man's leg.
Snagging the rope at just the last second, her brief stint as a ribbon dancer came in handy, as she managed to twirl her weapon around and wrap it against the angry individual's leg. "Get over here!" With the trap set, it was simply a matter of pulling, causing the man's leg to go out from under him, and then... BAM! A loud crack was heard as the male fell to the floor, Aerila acting fast to save the young maiden. Pulling her kunai free, she wrapped the rope back around her waist and bolted towards the girl, reaching out to grab her hand and give it a reassuring - and perhaps a little flirtatious - squeeze. "Run!" Not saying anything further, the Elven Warden bolted for the nearest side street, tugging the young girl along behind her. Hopefully they were fast enough to get out of the male's line of sight.

It was a wonderful day, Jade had half a mind to lounge around and do nothing. After all she had enough gold to live for a while so it wasn’t as if that was an issue. She thought about maybe trying to track down one of her friends, perhaps Lerical or Megumi or even Marashi. She shrugged though and decided first breakfast from her favorite place. She was about to turn towards the place but that was when she noticed it. . A man forcing a sobbing girl off in some direction. Jade was infuriated, she quickly equipped her armor and weapons and for good measure, got on her giant black Friesian horse Arcadia.
She cleared her throat loudly as she motioned Arcadia to stop right next to the man and girl. Jade prepared to intercept him if he ignored her. Which sadly happened. She watched the man just keep pulling the girl forward and this really got Jade’s blood boiling. She spurred the horse to quickly dart in front of him, to which he collided into Jade and Arcadia. The giant horse did not look amused, and jade had to stop her from trying to bite the man. Though she was tempted to let her. “Unhand her at once, and get away from here or face the consequences.” She said glaring down at the man. She had a spear and great shield equipped at her back, ready to be pulled out at the earliest opportunity. it was clear that Jade meant business.
Jade watched the man vanish, almost as if his legs were pulled out from under him. She saw another good Samaritan pull the man towards her and threaten him, but she didn't try to run like she did. Well until the other girl decided to drag the poor girl away. She urged Arcadia towards the two, to make sure that she wasn't about to become the victim of another person. After all the last thing she wanted to do was assume the other person was indeed a good Samaritan. That would happen if she didn't check it with any luck so she chased after them on horseback. When she finally got caught up with the other two. She manevered to get in front of them too, attempting to force them to stop as she was much quicker on horseback than someone on foot..
That was when Jade unequipped her armor and weapons and jumped off her horse with a practiced hand, use to doing so with the game menu. She appeared right at the poor girls side in her signature yellow dress with black trim and her bee wings and antennae headband. She went to put her hand on the girls shoulder. “It is ok, I got rid of him for you, are you ok? How about you come get some food with me and I can make sure he doesn’t come back. and if your other rescuer wants to come too she would be welcome. I am Jade, I was glad to be here to help you from that man. “ She felt for the girl, she was small and she could wondered why she hadn’t defended herself. She was also cute, shorter than her by quite a bit but cute none the less. Jade motioned for the two to follow her, but wouldn’t leave without at least the poor girl in tears. She wasn’t sure that man was done with her yet but he most likely was with both her and the other stranger protecting the poor girl.
Jade after all had a knack for finding people to protect and this instance was an easy one to solve, she had intimidated the man away and was glad that it had gone well. The last thing she wanted to do was fight in the streets. She had was sure all she did was make it not worth the man’s effort to keep dragging the girl away. “Now what happened that caused that? You have to be careful, not everyone here is so nice. I am glad I was here, though it seems I wasn't the only one there for you. I suppose you it was your lucky day." She said eyeing the other woman and finding her eyes lingering, another girl who she couldn't help but find attractive.

The man had only pulled Ashabel several meters before a horse darted in front of him, halting his advance. Through tear filled eyes Ashabel could see a silhouette of a blonde woman riding atop the horse. Moments after the woman arrived, the man that had her arm in his grasp seemed to trip, dragging Ashabel to the ground as well. Landing with a thud, Ashabel’s head spun while she attempted to sit up. Thankfully, whatever happened to the man had caused him to release her arm, allowing her to clumsily crawl away from him before her arm was grabbed by another person, and from the shape of their figure it was another woman. The world seemed to spin as she was dragged to her feet, and began running right behind the woman before the horse stopped them as well, with the rider dismounting. The moment the rider dismounted, the man behind the group finally obtained his bearings. He rose, and slammed his fist into his hand. “You... fine, I see you have friends. We’ll take care of this later, runt.” He spat in the direction of the three before stomping off, fists fully clenched in anger; he knew better than to fight in town, even a single fist being thrown meant death to most involved. The woman who had dismounted began to speak, but Ashabel’s head was still spinning. The only words she had heard the past couple of seconds were run, food, Jade, and help. It took her awhile to realize what had all gone down. “I’m... I’m saved?” Her voice was extremely quiet, as she had placed her right hand over her face, hiding her beet red cheeks as best as she could. “I heard food... I like food.” This brought the memory she had daydreamed about just before biting the man. That was the last breakfast she had before arriving in this world, and she remembered it so vividly. It was immediately after breakfast that she had turned on Elder Tale, and created her character. If she knew that she would permanently be her character, maybe she would have made herself taller, at least bigger overall. Those in front of her are seeing her as a child, she can see it in their eyes. Pulling at Jade’s dress just enough to put some tension on the other side of Jade’s body to gain her attention, as if she hadn’t already had it. “I... I would like her to come too.” Her voice started off almost normally, but trailed off as she looked over at who she was speaking of, face turning red once more. She was terrible around new people, and it showed. Ashabel had no idea why she had taken this turn, but she couldn’t seem to act like her normal tough self. While she waited for the response, she pulled herself around Jade, hiding most of her face with Jade’s midriff, peeking around her with her left hand covering the other portion of her face, leaving just her left eye peering at the blue haired woman. Was that a horse...? Aerila almost stopped for a moment as she heard the faint sound of hooves from behind. She must have been so engrossed in saving the damsel in distress that the horse went completely unnoticed; just shows how ill-experienced she was at this whole adventuring business, but she would get the hang of it. Still, it was a little disheartening that she wasn't able to see a horse standing right in front of her adversary before she went pulling his feet out from under him. But, that wasn't important now. Right, she needed to get the young lass out of harm's way. The alleyway would do for now.
But alas, that same horse she didn't notice before had turned it's attention on her and the girl, suddenly appearing before them both and stopping them in their tracks. Glaring upwards at the horse's rider, Aerila noticed that it was a girl, a rather pretty one to boot; but that didn't excuse her, no it did not. "Uh... hello? There's a really mad guy I just tripped up like... right behind us? Might want to move and let us get away from him!" In saying that, she heard the faint sound of voice coming from over her shoulder, glancing back just to see the angry male decide against retaliating - a wise decision, she thought - watching him blabber about trying again later before departing.
Releasing a sigh of relief, the Elven Warden released the young damsel's hand, stepping to one side to let her join the abrupt new conversation that had formed thanks to the gorgeous oaf who stumbled in on her horse. Things got interesting from there... Departing from the back of her horse, the clumsy bee moved to reassure the damsel, explaining how it was okay, she got rid of the bad guy. The side of Aerila's brow crooked upwards in a confused and perturbed manner, not to mention a little bit irate at having credit being stolen so easily and so quickly. While she had no intention of stealing credit back, that was just childish, Aerila wasn't about to let the girl get away with it... not without... punishment.
Standing quite a bit taller than both of them, the Elven Warden moved to stand directly behind the bee girl, her arms suddenly wrapping around her waist and lifting her into the air, just after she had mentioned her name in introduction. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Jade!" Loudly exclaiming as she squeezed the Guardian tightly in her arms, crushing her against the front of her Wardenscale, a loud giggle erupting from her maw. "We make quite a team, huh? Saving this poor girl from that angry man. We should work together more often," she finally muttered, setting the bee girl back down beside her, giving her a last, subtle wink before turning to the damsel no longer in distress.
"Now then," Aerila muttered, reaching down to grab their hands, Jade and the damsel both, one in each palm. With a few more reassuring squeezes, she nodded to both of them, directing their attention towards herself. "I heard food, and food sounds rather good right about now; how about the three of us go find something to eat!" Before they could answer, she was bolting forward, dragging them both behind her as she rushed down the street; glancing over her shoulder, she made a loud whistle against her teeth, alerting the bee girl's horse that they were leaving - it wouldn't do to leave Jade's mount behind, that's just rude.
With a cutie on each arm, the Warden was quite pleased with how her day was turning out, as her eyes glanced around for a cafe or a restaurant; maybe even just a small eating area, that would do for now. "Any places you guys know of? It's only been a few days into this new world, so I'm a little lost." Glancing away from the two girls, her eyes fell upon the nearby cafe, a Lander establishment - though this early after the Catastrophe, Landers would likely be the only ones selling anything. With an excited grin, Aerila gestured with her head towards the café, before once again dragging the Jade and the damsel behind her, bolting towards the idea of food.

Jade couldn't believe how tight she was being squeezed as she felt the rather cute girl apply her strength to her. She supposed this was payback for saying she saved the girl but well she had, this girl had just helped. She decided to fight back, she used her own strength to squeeze Aerila, whispering into her ear softly. "If you wanted an excuse to get close to me you could of just asked." She felt her own air leave her body as she was squeezed so tight and as she was let go, she let go of the other girl. Jade took that moment to catch her breath and take in the girl in front of her, finding that the other girl was behind her and tugging on her dress.. Jade shook her head and smiled at them, still catching her breath from the girls hug. She winked right back at Aerila. with a soft gigle as well once she had regained her composure. The woman was strong, like her, she was a warden it looked like. That was when suddenly she was being pulled in a direction. Jade yelled out the name of her favorite tavern that served yummy food and had outdoor seating during the day. Jade had loved the food there and had started going there for her every meal.
Jade was so disorriented by the end of it all that by the time they made it to the tavern she was just glad to be free.Tying up her horse Arcadia before making her way towards a table. She took a seat and waited for the waitress, looking at the others who hopefully sat with her. "So, what was that about?" She asked just noticing that it wasn't a little girl but a shorter woman, a very cute woman to boot. She was short but everything was there to show she was no child. Jade smiled at her and tried to reassure her. "It's ok, lunch is on me, I am sure something like that can be quite harrowing, I am glad that the two of us, could help you." She said not knowing the other girls name yet. "I am just glad I was around to help you. I don't want to imagine what the man had in mind." Jade sighed anad ordered a tea and stew and some bread. Glad to have some food in her soon. She had wanted food before but the whole rescue thing had distracted her and now she felt her stomach demanding she fed it. That was another thing that intrigued her about this world, they got hungry.. She couldn't wait till it was ready. She looked to the other two, trying to read them, one small shy girl and one bigger out-going girl. She thought both of them were cute and debating flirting more with both of them. Since she had already flirted with Aerila. She had to try it at some point with the other girl.

The blue haired woman grabbed Jade, and squeezed her. Unlucky for Ashabel this meant that she was squeezed in a death-hug as well. It was rather uncomfortable being crushed against Jade’s back, and she tried squirming free but stopped when she heard Jade whispering something. Ashabel tried hearing the words, but could not hear it over the sounds of her own attempts to breathe. Eventually the two were lowered, and Ashabel gasped for breath. It was then that Jade and Ashabel were whisked off by the blue haired woman. Her ears twitched when Jade yelled a name. ‘Where had I seen that before...’ Ashabel wondered. After a few turns, Ashabel’s eyes widened when she saw a large sign. “That’s a large sign...” It was simply large because Ashabel was so short, after all, she only stood to the bottom of the sign hanging from a short signpost. Following the group into the Tavern, she sat down to the left of Jade, putting the blue haired lady towards her right. Jade began asking her questions, but her eyes kept drifting to the blue haired woman. ‘Why was her initial thought grabbing peoples hands and pulling them places? That was twice in one day.’ Scooting her chair towards Jade’s side of the table, and further away from the grabby blue haired woman, she then turned her head toward Jade. “He... he...” Ashabel covered her face with her hands, and her red cheeks shined through her fingers. “He was right to be mad.” Ashabel was telling the truth, why was she so embarrassed? Yeah the two people here weren’t the most unattractive on the planet, far from it actually both were lookers. Then again in a world where everyone can make their own character, why not make them attractive? Ashabel certainly did, despite being extremely short. “I... don’t want to talk about why.” She glanced downward from Jade, breaking eye contact with the bee. “My... name is...” Ashabel remembered that she had a username now, and to not give her real name out to strangers. “My name is Ashabel. Th-thank... thank you for saving me.” She stuttered, and each time she stuttered her face turned red. The words she spoke were extremely quiet, showing just how timid Ashabel really was. “W-whats your name?” She turned and looked directly into the blue woman’s eyes while still attempting to hide behind her hands. It was at this time the waitress arrived, asking what the party wants. Ashabel looked at the waitress, then back at the table before speaking. “Can I have water... and bread...” The waitress leaned closer and asked for her to repeat the order. “Wa... water and bread. That’s it.” Ash leaned further from the waitress until she stepped further away and asked the rest of the group what they wanted while scribbling on a piece of paper before running off to tell the chef what they wanted. Having stopped at the café, Aerila finally heard the mentions Jade made of a tavern nearby, it's name echoing off the air from behind her as she held onto their hands. Giving a nod over her shoulder, the Elven Warden glanced back at the people inside the café, looking at them with an expression on her features that said 'Maybe next time'. "Off we go then!" Hurried and rushed, she dragged them along further, heading down the street towards where she imagined the tavern was that had been exclaimed. She could see that many Landers were stopping every so often to see what the commotion was about, but obviously the trio of girls was a blur on the wind, the Warden's speed quite stupendous.
"Here we... are?" Aerila was unsure if she had gotten the right place, but the sign out front of the tavern seemed to display the same name as what Jade had proclaimed earlier. Being the courteous lady that she was - Pfft, yeah right... - Aerila let Jade and the damsel enter the inn before she did, standing outside and committing the tavern and it's appearance to memory for later. She might need to come back in the future, and her memory could be a little off sometimes if she didn't concentrate enough. Dusting herself off, she gave a silent nod once she was sure she had memorised the location and it's name, before stepping inside.
The atmosphere was quite lively at this time of day, with many a Lander patron enjoying the bar and tables; even a few Adventurers had taken to enjoying their morning here, some of which were in heated discussion over the adventures they had already been out on during their first few days in the new world. Glancing around the room, Aerila spotted Jade and her damsel already seated at a table; giving an eager smile to the both of them, she moved to sit down on the chair opposite the table from the two girls, to create a sort of triangle shape between them around the circular furniture. "I don't know about you two, but I am starving," she exclaimed after sitting down, excitedly awaiting the arrival of the waitress. Fingers crossed it was a cute one.
The conversation quickly took a turn as Jade questioned the young girl on her experience earlier, and why the angry male had dragged her along; a bit sudden, probing the young girl for answers like this... Listening to the damsel, Aerila heard her put the blame on herself, quickly shaking her head before letting her continue. "You don't have to talk about it now, hun; it was a rough experience, and it's best that you put it aside for now and enjoy yourself!" She leaned over the table, gently resting her hand on the girl's head, gently brushing through the locks of her hair to reassure the cutie that it was going to be all right. "And, what better way to enjoy yourself than with food! Especially food that's paid for," she cooed teasingly, giving another subtle wink across at Jade.
Finally, the young damsel introduced herself as Ashabel; finally the Elven Warden had a name to put on both of the girl's pretty faces. "A pleasure to meet you, Ashabel; can I call you, Ash?" She chuckled contently - Aerila did so very much love her nicknames. "I probably will still do it even if you say no, though... And it was nothing! I enjoyed the excuse to use my kunai and get that guy off you; though saving a cutie like you is reward enough as well," she muttered softly, curling her lips into a big goofball grin before she heard the Sorceress ask for her name. "Oh! Where are my manners; not here apparently," she mumbled, bumping her index finger into the side of her brow. "My name is Aerila, but you can call me anything you want." Heh.
It wasn't long before the waitress arrived, and thankfully she was a looker, though as a Lander she didn't have that customised appeal that the two Adventurers sat at her table showed off. Giving the young waitress a smile, Aerila rubbed her chin as she contemplated her order, before nodding her head in agreement with her own decision - before she had even spoken it. "I'll have the biggest cupcake you've got; I have a craving for something overly sweet and scrumptious!" With a delighted giggle, she nodded once more before the waitress left with all their orders, her eyes turning back towards Jade and Ashabel; or Ash, as the Warden would now be referring to her. "So, how have you cuties been holding up these first few days? This new world is certainly one hell of a whirlwind..."

notes here. words: 526 | "Nice to meet you Ashabel, as I said I am Jade. Please get whatever you want, no need to get just bread and water hun." She said with a smile as she took in everything. The one girl Aerila was rather interesting, she seemed quite flirty referring to them both as cuties. She smiled at her and thought of how to answer her. Thinking that Aerila was a bit much, but she would stay polite. After all perhaps there was more to the girl. She waited for their food to arrive and debated what to say. "I have been helping take care of a bunch of kids, I help them as they are young despite what they look like, they can barely take care of themselves. We have taken up shelter nearby building. Your both welcome to stay with us. I know that a lot of players were younger. Its what I do though.. I use to take care of my brothers and sisters so its really no different. "
Jade thought about it and keeping busy like this was the only thing that kept her mind of the fact she missed her family terribly. She wondered if they were ok without her. If anyone remembered small things like Kylee needed a snack made for her upcoming party and that her other brother had to have her tuck him in before he would try to sleep. She sighed and hoped they could do it without her. She wanted more than anything to be back with them. So she buried herself in work here. She helped take care of younger players who were now stuck in this world and clearly needed help not knowing how to survive without someone taking care of them. She made sure they ate, stayed safe and went to bed at a decent hour. It was the least she could do after all.
Looking around she sighed and then she returned to the shorter girl. "If you want, hun I have a place where I take care of other kids, you can play with them until we find a way to get you back to your parents.I know this is a very scary thing to deal with but I am here for you." She said assuming the shy girl was younger. because of how she acted and was so short. Despite the fact the girl was cute she was clearly shy and scared. Jade smiled at her and hoped she would take her up on her offer. The girl was clearly at least uncomfortable. She hoped that she could win the girl over. She felt bad for the players in that situation, she had her own younger siblings and couldn't imagine how scary this whole situation might be. So she was trying to take care of them. It was tough but they worked together to earn enough to pay for food and everything. She really hoped she could help this girl too. She seemed like she was very scared in this world and she couldn't blame her. If Jade was honest she herself was scared.

The waitress stood there for a bit longer after everyone had ordered their food, before curtseying and walking off into the back groom. Ash peeked out from behind her hands to get a good look at her rescuers from behind cleared, non-teary eyes. It was at this time that she noticed the major differences between the two; after all one was much bustier than the other. This realization caused Ashabel to look at herself. Why was she doing that? Jealousy? No way. Her face turned red as she attempted to dismiss those thoughts. The words that the woman of note had said earlier finally dawned on her. Ash? She wanted to call me Ash. A few tears streamed down her face from her old nickname. “Ash... I... I... I miss that name...” Her voice trailed off, and those close enough could hear slight sniffling as she tried to hold back a few tears, choking on them instead. Around the time she started crying, she could hear Jade speaking. She spoke about how she was taking care of a group of children nearby. What did this have to do with her? She was old enough to not be considered a kid right? Despite her confusion at being referenced as a child, her name still rang through her head, making sure that she was unable to really end the water works. “I... I’m... I..” The words were hard to get out, she knew she would not be entirely happy surrounded by childen, despite what the bee woman had been saying. “I... have a place to stay...” She hadn’t been telling a full lie, after all around the first day of arriving she managed to find a very affordable inn, the innkeeper was hardly ever there so she had only met them once. Being afraid of how Jade would take the denial of the offer, she had to build up the courage to continue. “I... I can maybe...” She gulped past the tears once more. “Maybe visit.” Jade seemed to think that Ashabel was a child, and maybe she would have to explain later on as to what exactly was going on with her. She didn’t want to go back to her parents; even then she knew that her parents would never touch a game such as this. She only missed her dear caring mother, who made her breakfast mere days ago, and simply worried what she would have to be doing with the sudden disappearing of her daughter. Finally the tears started drying up and she could see again. “Sorry for the... crying.” Crying was not what she normally did, maybe perhaps the past couple of days have been just that hard on her. Who really knew? Aerila had asked a question of the two, and Ashabel figured she might as well reply. “It’s... been rough. Everyone... is a... well... stranger and...” She couldn’t continue, as her face turned redder and redder but her voice became quieter and quieter as she spoke, eventually stopping entirely. If her mouth wasn’t hidden behind her hands, maybe the other two would have been able to read her lips and how she said that it wasn’t normal of her to be timid, but alas she was apparantly a natural at hiding her face. It was only a matter of time before the waitress came back with her water, before heading back and servicing other tables. This prompted Ashabel to immediately grab the glass, and soon she was using the glass to both drink, and hide her face. Words: 591 Tags: Aerila , Jade Notes: Slurp slurp waters.

Despite the fact that Ashabel was conveniently hiding her face in her hands, no doubt in an attempt to display her trepidation and shy demeanour in this situation, Aerila couldn't help but pick up the slight glance of the young girl's eyes towards the Elven Warden's chest. Glancing down at her own chest, she noticed the accentuated curvature of her bosom, the leather and chain of her Wardenscale armour clinging to her form; it wouldn't be difficult for her to become distracting, but it was certainly surprising that she had caught the attention of such a fragile young damsel. She would have to keep this new information in mind for the future.
In reaction to her asking for permission to call her Ash, the young one seemed to slowly devolve into tears, which brought a disheartened frown to her face; she hadn't meant to upset the poor thing, but it seemed she was reminiscing over her old life. Of course, things must be tough for a lot of people, not everyone would be taking this sudden change so swimmingly. "Oh... I'm sorry, sweetie..." Wanting to make things right, Aerila shuffled her chair around the table to move herself closer to the teary-eyed Ash, her hand moved to rub the young one's shoulder. Before the damsel could react, Aerila shifted her chair just a bit from the table, making room; grasping her hands onto Ash's hips, she lifted the small girl off her chair and into her lap, settling her comfortably on her thighs.
Wrapping her arms around Ash, she squeezed her in close to her armour scaled form, trying her best not to hurt the poor thing and letting her simply cry into her shoulder as she required. "There there," she muttered softly, simply letting her relish in the warmth of another human being close to her. "If it's too much, I won't use that nickname; I was just trying to make you smile, hun." Her eyes glanced across the table to where Jade was seated, a little sorry for the girl who was now being left out. She gave the adorable bee a subtle wink, her lips moving to mouth the words 'You're next' without actually saying anything. You get hugs, and you get hugs! Everybody gets a hug! Aerila giggled under her breath, before snuggling Ash even tighter.
The conversation moved to the topic of home's and where the Adventurers were staying, as Aerila loosened the coil of her arms around Ashabel and let her simply comfortably sit in her lap at the table. Jade went on to explain how she had been taking care of the children of the world, who had now been stuck and left without family to take care of them. "That sounds wonderful," Aerila replied, smiling over at Jade with a happy expression dawning her features. She probably would never be able to take care of a single child, let alone an entire army of them, so the bee girl was certainly awe-inspiring in her patience and ability. "The poor children must be frightened to death; I'm glad they have someone to look after them."
Jade went on to offer the place to Ashabel, who she had assumed was a younger individual, one such child. While the damsel was certainly frightened, scared and shy, Aerila sensed a certain age to her, past her youthful appearance; it wasn't difficult to see the true age behind a person's looks, and the Elven Warden could see that Ash wasn't as young as she appeared. What intrigued her more, however, was that the damsel had a place of her own; as she explained, she had a place to stay, which was more than Aerila could manage. "Is that so?" She began with her posed question, glancing down at the girl in her lap, a soft, almost pleading smile on her lips. "I might just have to crash at your place; I've been sleeping under buildings and in the shade these past few days." Giving a devilish grin, Aerila winked down at Ashabel, gauging her reaction.
The damsel's crying seemed to have slowed to a halt since their conversations moved on, and she quietly apologised for the water works, to which Aerila shook her head, gently rubbing her hand through the locks of hair on Ash's head. "No need to apologise, cutie; crying is nothing to be sorry for~!" Finally, Ashabel gave her and answer to her question from earlier, Aerila's head tilting to one side as she listened to what the girl had to say. "Well, me and Jade aren't strangers now, sweetie," she replied, glancing between Ash and Jade before looking back to the girl in her lap. "If you need anything to get by, I'm sure either of us would be happy to help you. It's a rough time for us all right now, so we need to stick together."
A thought clicked in Aerila's mind, her hand flicking up to bring the interface out in front of her face. "Here we go, I have just the thing..." As she spoke, her hand hovered towards where Ashabel's name came up in her screen, her Sorcerer class highlighted beneath it. Clicking her name, she activated the friend request button, watching as the message was sent from her interface to Ash's. "There, once you accept that, we can be friends!" Looking up at Jade, Aerila sent a request to her as well, smiling and nodding for her to accept it once it arrived in her interface following. "Now you two just need to friend each other and we can be a threesome!" A poor choice of words, but Aerila was too caught up in the moment to realise what she had said... or was she?

"Your welcome to stay with me too Aerila," She said not sure what the girl had meant by she is next. She giggled a bit Aerila seemed to be quite the nice one, though she wasn't sure Ashabel really wanted to be held, so she tried to remain serious and let the girl speak if she liked it or not. "Really, staying outside like that, you can stay with the children and I any time, don't worry about it at all. You can help me out a bit by entertaining them. They love visitors. " Jade smiled and accepted the friend request and sent one to Ashabel as well, making sure that she knew that Jade was always available for her. "Yes, let me know anytime you need anything Ashabel, I am always there for friends." Jade was glad that the girl had a place to stay. She would still look out to make sure to be there should Ashabel need anything. After all the girl seemed shy and young and while self sufficient would surely need a hand. Jade had made friends with several landers and they knew the situation of the adventurers with her and thus helped out. She was glad as kids in grown up bodies wore her out.
Jade was glad to be able to enjoy today with everyone though she would soon have to head back to make sure the place wasn't on fire. She smiled at the two and was curious how to get Ashabel to open up more. She after all wanted to get to know the girl more so that she could maybe help the girl out. She was so shy and everything it was adorable. She couldn't help but be a bit jealous that Aerila seemed to have won the battle of who could help the girl more. She was adorable with how shy she was. Jade smiled as their food was brought out, she gladly took her bowl of stew and took a spoonful. It was as good as she remembered. This was her favorite place after all. She looked to the others, bread and a cupcake,. such odd choices she thought.
It was then that she decided to talk more to the other two. "I know its tough, being here and not the real world, but we will be ok if we stick together. I have to hold out that someone will figure out something, either on this side or the other and we can go back home. Until then we just have to be tough and stick together. " She kept telling herself that, but truth was she was terrified, wishing to be back with her family. She kept a strong front though and did her best to care for all she met. After all most of the older players only thought about themselves, not the younger players now stuck in the game. She could at least do that as they needed someone like her and the landers to take care of them. Their bodies might be that of their characters but their minds were that of the kids they really were.
