It was the dead of night, not a creature was moving. It was just about midnight when Hiro had arrived on location, in order to do some small recon before he, and potentially the rest of Apocrypha, would delve into the dungeon. However, there was still a bit of time before the other members were ready to go. That being the case, Hiro had time to kill. But, he wasn't the only one who had the extra time. Midori also had some extra time, so he invited her out to do a quest in the time before the raid. Despite them being the two strongest ones in the guild, it made no sense for them to stay the way they were before the raid itself. They had to get a bit stronger, too. At least, Hiro wanted to be stronger. That was more than enough of a reason for him to go on a quest.
Speaking of the quest, this wasn't just to kill a few monsters before a guild operation. No no, it was also to get a little bit of intel, if they could, about what may or may not be in or around the area when the raid was to begin. It wouldn't make sense to go in completely blind, so this quest had a dual purpose. It was mostly to ensure the safety and success of the mission that they were to undertake soon enough, as well as the security of his allies in a battle. He didn't really worry all that much, but it didn't hurt to be prepared, of course. But, back on the topic of this quest, the monsters that they had to fight weren't going to be that difficult. It was just a group of 6 Lesser Soil Golems. Hiro had taken on a few in his past already, so he knew how they worked, for the most part. Being an evasive type of class gave him one hell of an advantage. He could also practice group fighting with Midori, keeping the aggro to himself instead of it spanning over to her. This would be a very useful mission, to say the least. However, it'd been quite some time since he and Midori had worked together, at least in the sense of battle. It might prove to be useful to get team synergy like they once had, back in a few other games. The most prominent one being Mabinogi, of course. This game they had both poured their hearts and souls into, in order to become part of the elite on the English servers. It paid off, of course, and the two were revered for their strength as a team. Although their guild back in that world was small, it was still very powerful, mostly thanks to them.
Hiro looked around, and up to the sky. The nighttime air was getting to him a bit, as his eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness. He had just come here from the city of London, where lights from player-made spells and such were many. The walk over had helped him out a bit in the way of making his eye sight conform to the night, but it still wasn't perfect. The moon wasn't shining that brightly either, so things were a little harder to see. But, his eyes would probably have adjusted by the time Midori showed up, whenever that would be. He only hoped that she would show up. He didn't really mind when or where she would appear from, so long as she didn't just leave this mission all to himself. While he could do it by himself, this was supposed to be more of a guild/party practice quest. If they could nail party combat, with a tank and a DPS, then the addition of another DPS or two, as well as a healer, would be easy for them. He grinned thinking about this all, and stood by, waiting for his partner and good friend to arrive. He soon got very bored with standing around, and eventually went to sit down. It was a nice enough night for it, after all, and there wasn't any problem with taking it easy. He was about to work his ass off, trying to get stronger for the dungeon run, after all. Why not take a load off, and just chill, he figured. Midori would understand, probably. She's seen him lounge around back on Mabinogi, so what would the difference be now?
