Current Equipment ArmorStarter Cloth Armor: Level 1 Cloth Armor. A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. Left HandStarter Crystal Ball: Level 1 Crystal Ball. A crystal ball crudely made from glass. It appears to be fairly old and unpolished, but still possesses magical power. A wielder of the Crystal Ball is able to make it float in the air, able to bludgeon foes up to 1 meter away with the ball. Right HandApprentice Grimoire: Level 1 Grimoire. A one-handed apprentice’s book of spells designed for novice mages, made out of cheap materials. Doesn’t particularly have too many pages, but it is better than nothing. If used by a magic class, you get the ability to shoot a basic magic attack with a range of 2 meters. Accessory # 1N/A Accessory # 2N/A Accessory # 3N/A Accessory # 4N/A Vanity # 1Clothes of the Dark Magus: Level 20 Vanity Gear. A perfect ensemble for any mage who toys with the dark powers she has yet to understand. The base of the outfit is a Lolita-like purple dress with lighter purple near the ends of the skirt as well as the top of the collar. Around the waistline are three large red gems that glow slightly though it is not noticeable enough during the day. The hat is witch-like hat that has soft spikes that come out of either side at the brim and just above the brim. The hat follows the same color as the dress with the main color being purple and the tips of the spikes being light purple. Beside the dress, there are dark purple gloves that go almost all the way up to the arm. The fabric of the gloves are loose except for the top of where it reaches the arm as well as around the wrists. To finish off the ensemble, there are a pair of purple velvet boots that go to the knee. Around the top of the boots are three red gems smaller in size, but they glow just as the ones around the waist of the dress do. The boots are flat and have no heel so they are practical for travel. Class Skills Heretic Skills Miasma Corruption. [Level 1] Beginner Skill. Any being that comes in contact with the Miasma will become slowly corrupted in mind and body. Especially among the People of the Land, this condition is extremely serious and treated with extreme prejudice. Victims of Corruption may often be forced into solitary isolation until they recover from its effects. Stratford Wardens have been known to execute the most extreme cases for the sake of purity. Corruption reduces over time as characters avoid exposure to Miasma. Starting at three cycles since the last exposure, Corruption is reduced by 5 points each post cycle. The effects of this skill apply to all characters affected by Corruption, even if they are not a Heretic. Morphogenesis. [Level 1] Beginner Skill. Passive. Due to the Heretic's mastery over Miasma, its corrupting influence is slightly more resisted by the magician. When the following Stages are reached by the Heretic, they gain 1 Morphogenesis Point. A Morphogenesis Point can be spent to gain one trait at the character's current Stage. Traits are active until the end of the thread or whenever the character's Corruption Stage drops below a required Stage for the trait to be active. Naturally, a character may only gain up to 5 Morphogenesis Points per thread. Once a Trait is selected, it cannot be changed for the duration of the thread. Painful Potency. [Level 1] Beginner Skill. Passive. The presence of Miasma looming around the Heretic's body acts somewhat like a magnet to any Psyche energy in the atmosphere, causing mana to diffuse lower toward the ground. This obviously increases the magical potency of the Heretic's party, without any noticeable side effects. All magical damage for the party is increased by 5%. Multiple instances of this skill do not stack. Miasma Bullet: [Level 1] Tier I Skill. The Heretic generates Miasma into a black orb projectile. The orb is then fired toward an enemy within 10 meters at a high velocity. Exposure to this concentrated mass deals dark attribute damage to the target and applies 1 point of Corruption to the target. The Heretic may alternately charge this skill to deal 25% extra damage and 1 additional point of Corruption for every second of charging. This skill has a cooldown of 5 seconds, a regular casting time of 2 seconds, and a maximum casting time of 5 seconds. Pain Affliction: [Level 1] Tier I Skill. A concentrated stream of Miasma is fired toward a target's limb, causing a strong sensation of pain. Depending on where the burst made contact with, this psychological effect can cause a 25% reduction in attack speed or movement speed for 30 seconds. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 60 seconds. A target currently affected by this skill's effect is treated as though their Corruption was increased by 2. Shackles of the Sentenced: [Level 1] Tier I Skill. Miasma takes a tangible form in the shape of violet-black chains which erupt from the ground and wrap around a target. These chains root the enemy in place for 5 seconds. During this time, if the target should be afflicted with any skill that inflicts Corruption, their Corruption is increased by 1 additional point. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. Fortuneteller Skills Prediction: [Level 1] The fortuneteller is able to see into the future and predict certain situations. This skill allows them to survey an area of radius 5 meters from their current position. All monsters that will spawn within the next 5 minutes will appear as semi-transparent figures with timers above their heads showing their spawn time. This information is only visible to the Fortuneteller. While some Fortunetellers use this as a way to avoid trouble, there's been a number of field boss hunters who like to have one with them so that they can predict the incoming monster and make preparations. Blacksmith Skills Heatsink: [Level 1] Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks.
