When in need of arms or armor, call on the Handy Man!
It has been a while since the last time it was changed, but the Handy Wrench has finally undergone the changes it so needed. With the expanding market that Hirosame can now perform, it only seems right that the store change as a result. Now able to perform much more things, as well as work with different types of materials to make things for up-to moderately leveled players, for generally reasonable prices. No real catches on deals made here, and even a bonus that one may cash in on!
Classes and Levels:
Mechanic: Level 90
Tailor: Level 78
Woodcrafter: Level 53
Blacksmith: Level 1 (Willing to raise - see below!)
Qualifications:
Most on the site, new or old, know of the multitude of things that I have crafted and researched. From Trains to Hoverboards, Guns, Shape-Shifting Weaponry, as well as having been here since the site began, there isn't much about the crafting system that I don't know! It'd be impressive if I wasn't 100% certain on most things, involving much of crafting.
Prices:
Let's keep this simple, shall we? No need over-complicating most things in this brand-new world of ours, though a crafter does have to make money somehow, right? As such, all prices for crafting of an item shall be as follows:
10% of total craft price, before Conversion Fees.
To some, that may be cheap. To some, that may be expensive. As such, I'm more than willing to negotiate depending on the item's level to make sure people are happy with their crafts, and am always accepting any kinds of donations, though they are not required.
The Bonus!:
Ah, yes. The fabled bonus that has been spoken of prior... This bonus is, essentially, a single item for free, claimable at one point in time. This does not refresh, it is a one time use. Now, this is all subject to the amount of money that the Hirosame account has at the time of claiming, and just to make sure it isn't overly powerful, the free item cannot reach over 1000 Gold. Once again, this is claimable only once, and the names of those who have claimed it will be written in the next post.
Concerning Blacksmithing...:
Now, by this point, you've probably noticed one crucial detail: I'm presently a level 1 Blacksmith. Not much can be done with that, at present, as we all know. However, anybody who would like to perform a quest or such to help bring that number up is more than accepted, and even comes with a bit of a deal itself. Should one ask to make a thread or quest to help me gain levels with Blacksmithing, their next craft will be entirely 25% off, for all items. This includes: Material fees and Crafting fees (applied after compiling the reduced materials fees). The rest of the claim shall be paid for by me. See the below FAQs for further information.
At this point in time, there isn't anything else that I need to explain, but expect this to be updated in due time, as levels increase and other things are discussed. I hope that you will have some crafts that we can work out, some research that we can do, and possibly some fun threads in the future. When in need of arms or armor, call on the Handy Man!
Some FAQs: (To be updated as time goes on)
Q: Do you make descriptions yourself, or do you ask for descriptions? Also, will descriptions require extra money to have one made?
A: I can make descriptions, you can make descriptions, we can all make the descriptions. I'll always prefer to have people make them beforehand, so the craft can get up sooner, but I am proficient with making decent descriptions for things, that aren't too long. Of course, the customer will always be notified of the description, and will definitely work together to make one that the customer is happy with.
Q: On the topic of conversion fees. Do you pay for them yourself, or do you have the customer pay for it?
A: I generally have the customer pay the conversion fee, but since it is a one-time payment for each crafting thread, it shouldn't be too difficult to manage. Of course, if the customer can't afford it, I'll step in and cover it, or wait until the currency is obtained. This can be discussed between customer and crafter.
Q: Do you take PM requests as well as requests here? Or only in here?
A: I'll take a request any way it's given to me. Keep in mind, though, if the bonus is used by the customer, it will be recorded in the post below.
Q: You have a previous player shop in the same board. Why make a new one?
A: The old one is severely outdated, and not necessarily valid at this point in time. As there's been roughly 2 years of difference in time since that first one was made, it wouldn't do to try and revive an old, outdated player shop. Besides, it's easier to see now that it's a more-recent topic.
Q: What if you can't make the item that I want you to make? Like, don't have the qualifications to do so? Is there anywhere it's written down that I can see what you can and can't make, or will I just have to take your word for it?
A: An interesting question, as it somewhat exemplifies my own laziness. It'd be a pain in the rear to try and look through everything I've done since the dawn of the site to figure out if I have or haven't done something, when I should already know what it is I know I can do. I've got a solid knowledge of what I can and can't make, so I suppose you'll have to trust me for a bit. At least, until the crafting claim goes up where you can see what the standard or speed craft qualifications will be.
Q: So the Blacksmithing request seems fairly vague... You do realize, I could show up for one post, and then drop out of it, and request the 25% off deal as a result, right? Now, I wouldn't do something as horrible as this, being [Insert Customer Name Here], but how would you stop such a thing from happening?
A: Another excellent question! I'll point this question out in the Blacksmithing portion. I'll set up a rule that the thread has to end at a point where both myself and the customer agree that it ended, or has reached a point where it would logically bring us to a good point where the deal could be struck, whether that is to have enough AP to get to the requested level, or to have enough cash built up that we could make the 25%-off covered fairly well. This may seem confusing, but it'll make sense in due time.
Q: Why make a FAQ? You could just list out the facts in a less narcissistic kind of way, but instead, this. Just seems to be a bit much.
A: I figure it's just more entertaining to read it this way. Seems more fun to read them like questions, and have them answered directly afterwards. Besides, if some people are allowed to be narcissistic about themselves to an overwhelming degree, I can play in that pool a little, too. >:c
