[attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Well, well, seems we've got ourselves a different looking werecat of sorts. This one just so happens to be standing insanely tall at two feet and ten inches, with a breath-taking waist size of seven and three-quarter inches. Amazing, with an orange back fur and a fair tan under fur the two seem to cascade well with one another as the tan color splashes in rings upon the forearms of the animal. With large pinned blue eyes, the creature is very observant of things happening in a seemingly greater than one hundred eighty degree cone and can hear just as well with its unconventional cat ears that seem to resemble more of a rabbit's style. When he walks he walks with his chest out and back erect, his arms sway very subtly and his overall demeanor seems rather gallantly, in a way. Before coming into the world of Elder Tale, Benjamin was a rather wonky looking fellow. One that didn't really ever fit in with others. That's why he spent his time playing video games and working on that sweet hairdo. He's not much taller than his avatar in Elder Tale, either. Standing at five feet and four inches he falls in the short category for men, and even women. He doesn't have much meat on his bones, either and is always slouching with that bad posture of his. With the exception of the long ears, this is what he looked like with a bit of a different clothing choice too. The picture above displays what he looked like when he first wound up in Elder Tale as an Alv before he used an appearance potion. | [attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Bera is like most other people, subject to change. That being said, that with the different variables of situations his responses and reactions to certain subjects and situations can vary based on all of these variables, his attitude being one of them for that specific time. This is to be kept in mind when conversing with him, as there is no possible way for him to always be the chipper little critter than he is. That being said, on most occasions, he can be known as the "life of the party". Being the overly charismatic little kitty that he is, females seem to flock to him for his cute structure and melt at his feet when he casts his charm upon them. He loves to be the center of attention every time, all the time; and actually enjoys getting up and talking in front of others and making a fool of himself. He is a very caring individual that likes to go out of his way for others as long as it's within his arm's reach if it's not a simple thing for him to complete he won't do it. It's simply out of his lazy nature to go above and beyond for someone if it is something that was out of his control in the first place. However, there are cases where he will do what is necessary, though usually, he'd just pass it off to someone else if possible. Being an animal he likes to be able to rely on not only his senses but, what he calls, his "gut sense", or intuition. He draws his decisions from them both equally and doesn't let one play more in favor than the other unless it is absolutely blatant. When he's unable to see with his eyes and ears or can't smell anything he likes to rely on ole bubbly(his gut) to make his decisions for him. Though this doesn't mean that if he chooses not to face danger blindly he is a coward, no. He actually wishes to face a battle with a full sense of approach, that is what a warrior does. See, Bera doesn't consider himself to be a "hero" he likes to call himself a "warrior". He doesn't let his emotions guide him into battle and fight blindly, nor does he do the same when people are harmed or killed before him. That would only lead to his own demise. He believes in fighting when the fight is winnable and knowing when to be lazy at the right times. Sometimes, waiting out a battle can be a good thing, as even in times of war back in the day men built trenches as an act of laziness in order to not walk back to the valley or to the river. Sure, it required some work, but after the work was done it was easy for everyone. That's the way he likes to think is lazy, if he can work less he can live longer and fight another day. Any man that overexerts themselves in training is considered a fool. When instead of training, a study could be done that would exercise the mind and not the body as the body can only be used for so much in this world of stats. Though all in all, he's not an over-expressive strategist or anything of those lines, he's just simple. He takes simplicity and applies his own logic to it, nothing to it, really. He's not some type to dive deep into thought over things like other people's drama or emotions. While sometimes it interests him, he simply finds it humorous more than actually sympathetic toward their issues. In fact, this can sometimes be one of the things that make him nervous or feel slight unease. Although, since the incident he has become a more open-minded person, due to having to handle and deal with people of the land. Despite them being unaccepting to him and his people, the adventurers, who have become foreign discomforts to them, he still treats them just as he would treat anyone else. That being said, he's just a charming guy all around and a bit of perv at times too. Outside the world of Elder Tale, Bera is known as Benjamin. A timid and shy individual that doesn't know how to handle social interactions or being around others in general. He struggles to get his parents to understand why he plays video games or doesn't have very many friends outside of the internet, but they don't seem to listen to him too well and it frustrates him so. When it comes to girls, they seem to turn their nose and walk away as he doesn't have very many features that could be considered appealing. In fact, he looks like a huge nerd, though he is mentally unconscious of this. He thinks he looks cool but is too timid to admit such things or to show any ounce of confidence in anything he says. Besides that, he is rather intelligent. His tone is usually rather smooth and soothing, or chipper and rushed when he is in the game, however outside of the game he seems to stumble upon his words and fiddle his fingers a lot. He maintains eye contact typically during conversation when in the game, but outside of the game he doesn't have the guts to look someone in the eye. Let alone have a conversation with them. |

Twenty-two years ago, in Dublin, Ireland, a boy was birthed to a loving mother and father. The family was your typical middle-class family that didn't veer off any sort of troubles or disputes that were out of the norm. While this was true, their family wasn't very large as cancer seemed to grow throughout the family and cut a few limbs from their family tree rather fast as treatments weren't very well-known for back in that time. This led the mother to pursue a career as a radiology assistant where should help in detecting cancer before it spread through the use of CAT scans, MRIs, and x-rays(for things unrelated to the disease). She had a great drive for preventing the illness to strike families as it did her own, however, it would be some time before the disease would get the attention it deserved. As for the father, he had a rather distinct fascination for technology and its rapid advancements. When the internet came out he seemed to be one of the happiest men to walk the planet and took the opportunity and ran with it. He studied in network engineering and took computer building and gaming as a hobby from his days as a child. The father was a rather big nerd, but he had a large heart and that's what his mother loved most about him.
Growing up in Dublin was easy, really. Wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, and play with his friends until it was time to come back inside and go to sleep. On weekends, he would never step outside to play with his friends. He and his father set this time of the week aside to dwell on their hobby with video games where the two would compete with one another until the sun came up often leaving them to fall asleep on the couch. The mother always saw it be cute, and as long as Benjamin completed his homework, she wouldn't mind and would wake her "Benji-bear" up from his slumber every afternoon with a delightful breakfast. Everything was fine, the family lived happily in one another's company and didn't seek much else from anyone but themselves.
As time flew into the past, Benjamin would grow... but not much. His mind did most of the growing, after all, his father always being there to help him with his studies so that the two could jump into their beloved hobby of video games. They were best friends, really, an inseparable duo. Things would come to find change soon, though as his father was asked to help in the development of a new video game type called MMORPG, Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game. This would lead the family to move to the West, in Japan to be exact. The father and son duo were extremely excited to dive into the new type of game, though it would be some time till the game was developed.
In school at Japan, he wasn't able to find himself to fit in anywhere. While kids had the same interests as him, it was his fair skin and odd hair color that seemed to keep him separated from the others. How cruel children could be, as they badgered him in their native language that he grew to learn over time and made him the laughing stock of his school on many occasions. Though he wouldn't let it get to him immediately, it would slowly wear at him and follow him into his adulthood in time...
When the game released, the family was ecstatic. The hype would live long, however, as the game would come to a fast halt for an unwilling player base due to their competition: Elder Tale. The failure in the game brought a sadness to the family and set his father to a rather ill state of mind, having to scurry about to find another job in the bustling city. With all the hype that was for Elder Tale, it warranted a try. The two requested beta keys and received them rather quickly, diving into the vast world head first. Though the two couldn't see the significance of the game at the time and would leave it alone for quite some time. They thought that the game seemed rather lackluster in features, where the game his father was involved in seemed to shine. The fan base of Elder Tale still seemed to vastly outnumber that of any other game, and when it came to the release of the game neither himself nor his father would be interested in continuing to play.
As his time in primary school drew into its later phases, he was drawn back into the game by a group of friends that seemed to accept him for who he was despite his differences. The group grinded and leveled every day, his father even joined in on the fun eventually and they all played the game just as the two once did when he was a young child. The sense of comradery and nostalgia seemed to compel the two and trap them into the game for a long amount of time. When he joined the game he set his username to be Bera, at the request of his mother. It was a compilation of his first middle and last name, but also drew back to the name they used to call him when he was a small boy, "Benji Bear". Not only this, but his play style was very ferocious, even for an Alv he seemed to have a rather aggressive playstyle similar to that of a bear which he and his father come to realize during the Open Beta. Thus the name Bera was created and he would roll the class Monk, with the Brewer subclass as he was young and though alcohol was cool and all that.
When he was in the game he felt much different than he did when he was in the real world. He felt in control and strong, almost immortal in a sense. These were things that didn't come to him out in the real world. As he was realistically a scrawny kid that was rather feeble and weak-minded due to all the bullying he'd receive at a young age. He didn't seem to have much confidence in the real world to talk and boast with others about anything because, in reality, he was just a nerd that went home and played video games. When he did, though, he was well respected and well known for the amount of gold income that he could make in a day. He had obtained so much in the game and made so many friends that it was easy for him to lose himself in the game and create a completely different persona than that of who he was in real life.
Soon, this persona that he held would begin to take reign of him while he was in the game and he let it get too far. One day, he was approached and asked if he could sell some of his in-game money for some real world currency. Seeing no harm and doing so and being caught up in the excitement and his own ego he agreed to do so. This would soon become a habitual thing for him and a lot of people would come to him to buy his hard earned gold. He'd end up making a rather good amount of money for someone that was but a senior in high school. Soon enough his actions would catch up to him and he'd quickly find himself banned. Confused by it all he tried everything in his power to get his account unbanned, explaining that he didn't know what he was doing to be a problem or against the rules. However, the company would only come to terms with him on holding the ban for a year instead of making it permanent. He felt discouraged by the company and rather annoyed that they wouldn't believe his honest words, his love for the game would seem to dwindle. And his friends at school that played the game seemed to frown upon him for doing such, his reputation within the game and outside of the game had fallen because of his unknowledgeable mistakes in-game. Though he'd end up avoiding the first catastrophe with the game's server in Japan because of the ban.
After he had graduated from primary school he was ready to be sent off to university. However, he wished to be sent back home or at least somewhere close. Thus, he went to Britain and continued his studies. As time drew on he'd hear some word about an Elder Tale server being opened up to Britain. When he heard about this the only thing that he could think of was that his ban had been over with for some time and he could probably just transfer his account over to the new server and have a huge start on everyone else. This wouldn't come to be the case when he would finally get things worked out and have his account transferred over to the new server. When he first logged on he'd come to see his name was still available and had the option to change it. He thought about this for a few days as he figured that his bad reputation would carry over with him. He wasn't sure if this would hold to be true or not. In the end, he would decide against changing his name would carry on with the handle, Bera. When he'd arrive at the log-in screen he'd see that his level seemed to be reset for one reason or another. It was odd, he didn't think that such a thing would happen. In light of rage and curiosity, he logged into the account to find that he had nothing. No gold, no experience, no levels, no items... nothing. All that he had put into the game on Japan's server had been taken from him. He could only guess that this was in result to his punishment, though this wasn't true. The fact of the matter was that the staff on the game didn't see it fit for a character to have a huge level advantage on everyone else. He didn't come to realize that the entire time he didn't feel like he was sitting at his desk or anything. Everything felt... real. His movements weren't automated by his fingers they were as though he was inside the game. Which came to be the truth of it all, he was stuck inside the game. A short alv that had a dorky look to himself, he knew that he at least should have had the starting item essentials of an appearance potion. He changed his race to the Werecat and then went around looking for others that were stuck in the same issue.
After coming to find that everyone else was experiencing the same issue he tried to log out of the game and at least get in contact with the support desk or something about his in-game items, money, level and all. Though when he tried, it would fail. After a good bit of time panicking and trying to find the answer to his question, he'd come to find himself trapped within the game, unable to logout. He and many others like him were all stuck. Despite the situation, Benjamin wished to create a new name for himself in this server a be much more than who he was on the Japan server. This would be the best opportunity for him to bring glory back to the name Bera and restore any doubts that were held with the handle. He'd crush these speculations with his charm, knowledge of the game, and laziness. All he needed to do was be known...

[attr="class","skillbox1"]
Drunk Monkey - Tier 1 - A passive monk skill based on the Drunken Fist fighting technique. It is activated when the monk uses an alcohol-based drink made by a Brewer. While inhibition by alcohol would normally lower fighters' coordination, this skill causes a heightening of some of the monk's natural reflexes, raising their evasion rate and providing a small chance for the monk to passively dodge attacks entirely. Still, this status only lasts as long as the effect of the drink. So please drink responsibly.
Iron Body - Tier 1 - A passive monk skill based on the Drunken Fist fighting technique. It is activated when the monk uses an alcohol-based drink made by a Brewer. Wyvern Kick - Tier 1 - The user takes to the sky by performing a high jump of up to 5 meters, then kicking down toward a target. Often, the monk will then perform another jump to maintain the height advantage. This skill is particularly taken by monks for its vaulting properties. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. When performed while Manawyrm Stance is active, this skill deals 10% more damage and aggro. When performed while Nighthawk Stance is active, the Monk's maximum jump height is 10 meters and this skill's cooldown is reduced to 4 seconds.

Roleplay Class: Courtesan
[attr="class","skillbox2"]
Allure - Tier 1 - A toggle skill that can be used anytime in a conversation with People of the Land. It allows the Courtesan to smooth over any mistakes and retain the target's attention. Often, this skill can also be used to obtain information that would otherwise require long interrogation. Allure's effect scales with the Courtesan's subclass level, becoming more effective at higher levels.

Detox - Tier 1 - When your occupation is all about alcohol, you can't let things like hangovers slow you down!
