Apoc knew he could no longer gain information on interactions between magic and the animals in this world in the library. That was why he was now in the field where all the monster spawns were. This is normally a bad place for Sorcerers without someone to tag along with, but he thought he should be okay since he does not plan on venturing far away from the walls of London. He started looking around trying to find a monster that he could access the monster's information from and then see how he could use the only sub-class spell he has for his Scholar class, Evaluate. He has never used the spell before since he had access to all the monster's information when his mind was outside the game via webpages on his computer. Now that his mind was stuck in the game, he might as well use it now before he needs to use it in a fight against a monster that none of his magic spells work on.
After a few minutes, he did find a few Frenmic Rabbits. Not knowing how the action on the spell Evaluate worked, he would open his game menu and search for the spell to use and let the game control him to use the spell. Unfortunately, as soon as Apoc targeted the Frenmic Rabbits, the rabbits would sense his presence and scurry away. This caused him to not have a target for the spell and he could not use it. For what felt like hours to Apoc, he would only encounter Frenmic Rabbits and they would do the same thing. Flee the field as soon as they were targeted. Getting frustrated by this, he flipped out on the next monster he saw, another Frenmic Rabbit. Instead of trying to use Evaluate, as soon as the Frenmic Rabbit was targeted, Apoc would hover his right hand above his new Grimoire and channel his spell. Pages of the Grimoire started to flip. Once it stopped, the Grimoire landed on a new page and a white light shined from the book. At that moment, Apoc would utter the words, "Mana Arrow!" A white arrow flew from the pages of the Grimoire and followed the Frenmic Rabbit that was running away. Right when the Rabbit was almost out of his sight range, he saw the rabbit burst into bubbles. He would then go up to the few coins that dropped from the rabbit and pick it up.
Apoc would then look back to where he was to make sure he was still close to the wall and would notice an odd sight. There were about five Green Slimes converging where he once was. He knew Slimes were not the brightest tools in the shed, so he decided to attempt to use the Evaluate skill on one of them. After targeting one of the Green Slimes, he would notice the basic information such as its name, level, current HP, and current MP. He would then go through the game menus and click on the Evaluate skill. He would then go along with what the game seemed to make him perform. What did the game make him perform? After pressing the Evaluate skill button to cast it, his hand that he pressed the button with traveled to right besides the eye that was on the same side and then press an imaginary button. At that point, one MP was exhausted from his mana pool and a window popped up with further information on the Green Slime. He would read the screen and notice that the slime did not have any weaknesses or resistances. At this moment, he would laugh at himself just because the action to use Evaluate reminded him of an anime he used to watch. This caused his imagination to make him view himself in space armor screaming, 'It's over 9000!' While this was fun, there was a few words in a special ability that would ruin his fun. After noticing those words and reading them, the color in Apoc's face seemed to disappear. What did it say? Green Slimes were attracted to Mana Usage and would converge on the source in groups. After a visible gulp, Apoc got out of the game menu and ran. After all, a group of now ten Green Slimes were converging on where he was when used that one MP to activate his Evaluate spell.
