[attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Real world: Sarah, standing at five feet six inches tall and weighing at one hundred fifty-two pounds, she is your average young woman. She has a slightly rounded face with a cute upturned nose that doesn't seem to fit her "tough girl" attitude. Her eyes are a murky blueish-teal sort of color, which reside behind thick bottle top glasses. Sarah's hair is a somewhat long mop of a surprisingly even length that reaches her chin. Her hair is an ever changing spectrum of color, never staying the same for more than a couple weeks. Despite her tough-girl attitude, Sarah has a self-image problem she has fought for many years. Due to this problem she wears baggy clothing when not in her training armor (explained in history and extra info). In Elder Tale: Sarah appearance is vastly different than in the real world; first being her hair, which is a lighter shade of red, is chopped short and parted down the middle. The back reaches half way down her neck while the front stops around her ear lobes. Her height varies some as she stands close to six feet tall now. Unlike her real eyes, her in-game eyes are an emerald green color. Rather than taking on a similar body type as she had in the real world, Sarah chose to have a body of athletic superiority that she had always worked towards. Her muscles were lean and strong, with noticeable definition. Her abdomen showed some light definition as well, while her chest was similar in size to her real world counterpart. Sarah walks with an air of confident, warrior-like grace normally only seen in people with combat experience. | [attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Pen has always been the sort of person that stuck up for the weak. She was influenced from an early age by tales of knights and super heroes. She has always been the tomboy-ish type of person; never worried about dirt or getting hurt when playing. She always enjoyed proving people that said she coudn’t do something, wrong. Pen is a caring sort of woman, almost always willing to help those in need, even if she gains nothing in turn. She thinks life should be spent helping those who are in need. In social circles she can come off as a bit harsh at times; however this is not her intention. She has a relaxed filter to her words. Meaning she doesn’t always think before she speaks. Though her filter may not be that good, her empathy is almost uncanny. Pen can sit in a room full of people and pick out who is upset, even if they try hard to hide it. She’s never been able to explain how. When dealing with negativity she reacts in one of two ways; number one being to let it roll off her shoulder and move away from it. Or number two confront the individual(s) about it and do what she can to prevent it from occurring again. (The latter is her normal reaction.) In combat Pen keeps a rather level head. Watching her friends get hurt isn’t easy for her due to her heightened empathy, but she tries to keep her cool as she prefers to be the main tank. She would rather she got hurt than others. It’s one reason why she has so many scars on her actual body. Pen is not a strategist, by almost any means. She prefers to be told a target and beat it into submission. However, this does not mean she cannot come up with a plan if the need is dire enough. She prefers to “wing it“. With those Pen is close to in both the real world and Elder Tale, she has the same thought; “They’re my friends and family. Only I can beat them up!” In the real world Sarah has a large family due to her parents adopting other children and those she considers close enough to be family. When it comes to her friends there is almost nothing she won’t do to help them. No matter how long it takes or the strain it puts on her, she helps them. Never letting the stress and pressure become known to others. Pen shows affection in a very physical nature; having grown up with mostly boys she learn to show her affection in making jokes about her friends and family, as well as punching them in the arm and wrestling. She is constantly referred to as “one of the guys”. Which despite the fact she is a tomboy, she still sees herself as a girl and not “one of the guys”. She also has a strong sense of justice and feels those that do wrong unto someone should have to pay the price of their actions. She holds herself to that more so than others. “You can’t expect people to listen to a hypocrite” she’d always say. |

Sarah McKlellen was born in the England to Lacey and Jordan McKlellen; a history teacher and a police man. From an early age she was told stories of knights from history and Arthurian legend as well as of superheroes from comic books. She was influenced by those stories to be someone that would put others before herself; to be the modern day knight. A true to life super heroine. When she was little, no matter the circumstance she would leap into action to “protect the weak”, this was seen as cute; until she was nearly killed by a car when she ran into the road to try and rescue a lamed bird.
She spent some time in the hospital but despite her young age she never complained. Instead, she would sneak from her room on crutches and visit random other patients’ rooms and talk with them. She would sometimes make multiple trips a day into other rooms. During this time some of the more depressed patients began to feel happier and much more at peace. When asked why she would do that Sarah would reply simply, “I can feel them being sad. No one wants to be sad. So I talk to them.” After Sarah was released from the hospital she would still come to the hospital and visit random patients with baskets of goodies for them.
This continued well into her teens. During those years she became more involved with sports, soccer, rugby, and even though it isn’t an accepted sport at her school, she practiced with the sword from a family friend. She began in her early teens and worked hard at it, much like with her other sports. However, her love of sword fighting was much greater than her love for mundane sports. During her training sessions she would imagine herself as a knight, fighting off enemies. It could be one reason why she stuck with it. Her years in high school brought some pain to her also; she was targeted by some students for her tomboy attitude and her choice of haircut. They claimed she was lesbian and that she and one of her friends were secret lovers.
While this didn’t bother Sarah much, however, it did bother her friend as she had just gotten into a relationship. In response, Sarah confronted them and told them off, however, this didn’t solve the problem; instead it made them continue with more ruthlessness than before. They even went as far as to get physical with Sarah’s friend. Sarah stepped in and beat them with a tree branch till they left her alone. She told her mother that night after she got home and filed a report. The students didn’t go near them or talk about them again after that.
As a graduation gift, Sarah went to Japan to visit one of her friends that moved away years before. During her time there she was introduced to the game Elder Tale and tried it out. It was instant love as she immediately chose the Guardian, or the Knight, as she liked to call it. Sarah spent a month and a half in Japan with her friend and during that time decided that she wanted to live in Japan for a while. Her parents were reluctant but they trusted her friend and gave in to her pleads. Sarah enrolled in a college there, and over the course of two years became well versed in the Japanese language, as well as the world of Elder Tale.
Around the time she was twenty-five, Sarah moved back to England after her mother retired early from the Police Force. A few months after the retirement, her mother and father decided to take a vacation cruise. It would last the better part of a year and would hit many countries along the way. Sarah spent the time they were away getting back into shape. Her time spent on Elder Tale took precedence over her health, so now that she was back in the states with no Elder Tale to play, she began her sword training again. Only this time, she would even called out her Guardian’s attacks. This drew some questioning looks to her.
During the time her parents were away she got a job on the military instillation, not far from her home. During her time there she made a friend, a young man named Dion, whom had just arrived to England and was stationed on the military instillation, and they hit it off rather well and became fast friends. However, not long after his arrival, he was in a car accident and lost the ability to use his legs. Sarah spent the next few months encouraging him that it would be alright and that life wasn’t over. It was an extremely tough road full of verbal fights, drugs, and alcohol but eventually Sarah managed to get him back on the right trick again.
Around the time he began recovering Sarah talked him into trying Elder Tale as they were finally about to have their own server and the release of the expansion Novasphere Pioneers. Her friend agreed and so they planned to start the next day, as she had work that night. A few hours after she got to work her shift lead sent her home due to the business being dead. Excited she didn’t argue and raced home. She figured she would jump on and get her character created then start with Dion in the morning. Once she finished creating her character she blacked out.
She awoke inside an overgrown train station, unsure of where she was or how she got there.

[attr="class","skillbox1"]
Miracle Mine - Tier 1 - A light-elemental spell. After performing this spell, the ground beneath the player's current position will light up with a white glow. If an opponent were to step on this aura, it immediately reacts and strikes the target with a bright small-scale explosion. Alternately, the user can trigger a manual activation by snapping their fingers. If multiple mines are present, they will be triggered based on the order they were set. After about five minutes, the mine will naturally dissipate on its own, however. This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 5 seconds after placing a mine.
Reactive Heal - Tier 1 - The Cleric's starting restorative skill and regarded as the Cleric's signature skill. Unlike Heal that immediately restores hit points at once, Reactive Heal requires the target to receive damage to trigger this skill's effect. Reactive Heal's effectiveness in combat relies on the caster's level and the level of the skill itself, but it does not require the Cleric to focus on a single ally like in Heal, allowing the "Heal Walk" tactic to be employed. When activated, the ally becomes wrapped with a warm orange light as a visual effect. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and no cooldown time.
Cure - Tier 1 - A basic cure magic that removes negative status effects from a single ally. It consumes little MP and has the ability to remove negative status effects such as poison or bind. Its effect is a pale blue light similar to that of Heal. The effectiveness of its status curing effect may vary based on the level of the skill and the gap between the level of the user and the level of the monster which gave the status effect. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and no cooldown time.

[attr="class","skillbox2"]
Concoction - Level 1 - Using their knowledge of herbs and natural remedies, the apothecary is able to treat others. The load time for this skill is ten seconds, and the target's HP is restored by 10%. Any physical status effects will also be cured. Due to a risk of possible toxicity effects, Concoction cannot be used on the same target more than once per thread.

Toxicity Tolerance - Level 1 - Pharmacists have developed a certain resistance around drugs. This skill can be toggled to make a pharmacist immune to status debuffs caused by potions. Additionally, they passively recover twice as fast from Poison and Mind status effects.
