Mindless grinding was boring to the wolf-hair, wo had her eyes set on other things as she left the city. Namely, she just wanted to find a young tree, chop it down, and began crafting the most exquisite walking stick. Or a staff. It didn't matter much, as long as it provided support that felt familiar and stable to her. Odd as it was, her body was actually craving that annoying habit of hobbling to and fro. Not that she was going to go out and shatter her ankle all over again, but--
The woman stopped short, hands fluttering to her hips where her weapons were strapped and holstered. There was a commotion further up ahead, one that sounded like shouting and the squeals of several hogs. Some poor fool was being chewed out by a team mate for either attracting too much aggro, or getting themselves in over their head.
Curiosity tugged at Constance, who was now edging forward to pinpoint the noise. It didn't take long for her to find the source, as part of it was coming towards her. Alarmed, she tried to step back, one hand on her whip, the other raised as if to ward off a blow.
"You! Please, wait!" The man, an NPC guard, stopped short of colliding into her. He seemed to be in a hurry; most guards did. "Phew, caught you just in time--"
"And for what, may I ask?" She wanted to add a little sarcasm, but the poor guy looked tired and exasperated. What was eating him?
"My foolish companion, Frank, is trying to take on ten boars at once. I need your help to make sure he doesn't die -- you're a healer, aren't you? She should have known this was going to be a set up for a quest. "I'm sure we can find someone else to assist. One of...you people, you know? You Adventurers are better built for this, not us, and -- for Pete's sake, Frank!"
Further behind him, out on the field, a fearless man pranced around. He taunted the boars forming a ring around him, and neatly stepped to the side when two rushed towards him. "Is that all you've got, you glorified bacon dispensers? Ha! It'll take a little more than that to catch old Frank oof." While he was busy showing off (in front of a pair of giggling Lander ladies, no less), a boar struck him from behind. "Don't worry ladies, daddy is bring home the bacon tonight."
Constance visibly cringed at the theatrics. "Jesus."
"Yes yes, I know," Darus grumbled, his face partially obscured by his palm. "Please stop that idiot before he gets himself killed."
It was funny how she came out here to get some wood, but Frank was desperately trying to give his to some girls. "I'll see what I can do, but no promises." This had better be worth her while.
